Chapter 2: Curse Arise
" Sigh* Okay, now I don't feel like being watched… Maybe." Tomori said as he rested under a tree nearby. "Okay, weapon copy. Let's try that."
He brings out all of the iron weapons that he bought. "Hmm…" He touched all of the weapons one by one until a beep came out.

"I guess it's time to level up." Tomori stored his stuff into his inventory and stood up from the ground and walked away from the tree to search for any monster that he could find.
Tomori went deeper into the forest and he encountered a monster he quickly hid inside the bushes.
"Slime? And the color is blue…" That definitely reminded him of someone.

"Sorry, Rimuru, but you're going to be my EXP fodder for today." Tomori went straight out from the bushes and headed to the said Slime.
"?!" The Slime noticed him. So it prepared itself to attack.
"Hah!" Tomori uses his sword to smack the slime.

"Only one hit? Man, I guess a slime is really a weak monster after all-" But what Tomori forgot is that slime always moves in groups.
"!!!" A dozen slimes raining down from the forest tree.
"Holy cow-" Tomori managed to evade them with thin hair. "Okay, seems like you wanted a party. And it seems like you bought your cousin with you as well."
Tomori said that because there were different colored slimes inside the group.

He holds his sword handle with both of his hands and heads towards the blue slime. "One blue equals 3 EXP. If I kill 4 blue then I would get-"
"?!" Tomori swings his sword horizontally, killing all of the blue slime.

"Level 2!" Tomori opens his Weapon Tree Menu and selects the Iron Sword. His Small Sword was covered with red light and the sword changed into the Iron Sword.
"!!!" The yellow and red slimes tried to attack Tomori. But he noticed it and evaded it. But he didn't know that he went close to the Acidic Slime.
"Oh f*ck!"
The slime shot an acid attack at him. But he managed to block the acid using his sword blade. "That was close…"
A Dark Smile tried to attack him, but he managed to activate a skill. " Slant Slash!" His sword glowed and he released a vertical slash into the Dark Slime. He then backed down to gain some range between him and the slimes.
"Okay, six more to go…" He does the reverse grip on his sword then changes it to the Iron Dagger. "I think this is a good time to use the Ki Boost…"
He opens up his status and sets to use 30% of his EP on his skill. " Okay, hope this works…" He then aggro the yellow and red slimes together so that he could use a skill.
"This is the chance!" All of the yellow and red slimes are close to each other. " Strike Edge!" Strike Edge is a skill that targets multiple opponents.
"!!!"
He swiped the slime horizontally, killing all of them at once.
Level Up!
"Another Level up. And two more to go…" Tomori looks at two of the last slimes. The dark one is guarding the acidic one. "So the dark seems like a tank to the slime ecosystem…"
He changed his dagger into the Iron Hatchet. " Blade Throw is a throwing skill. And I know which my target is."
He put 30% EP on the skill. When he activates it, there's a cursor on his vision. "From Fantasy to FPS…" He aligned the cursor so that it would hit the Acidic Slime.
" Blade Throw!" He throws the hatchet at a high speed to the point that the smile can't evade.

The hatchet then returned to his hand. He then changed the hatchet into the Iron Spear. "This is the end."
He charged towards the last smile and activated a skill. " Oblique Thrust!" He thrust the spear at the slime, instantly killing it.

" Sigh* It's over…" He then lay down on the ground. "Oh, the parts." He stood back up to absorb all of the slime blob.

"Hmm… I don't want to waste my materials on weapons right now… How about the Bonus Status Level? I could use that right now."
He opened up his status and proceeded to dump every drop item and some of the slime blops to fill up the attack gauge.

Tomori looks up at the skies.
" Sigh* I guess this is my life until the wave is over. Better hurry up to find some decent human being to join my group to make my life easier."
With that, Tomori stood up and continued venturing deeper into the forest.
After venturing through the forest, Tomori slayed every living being that he encountered (not humans though). He is able to destroy the Mushyroom bloodline, have a wrestle with the Hound Wolf's pack and get PTSD from fighting the Horned Rabbit.
After watching THAT Re:Zero episode, Tomori has forever changed his view on rabbits. He also plucked a lot of herbs inside the forest. He stored all of the herbs inside the sling bag. Though he find that having to store the herb inside the bag then store the bag inside of his inventory is pretty funny and useless at the same time.
And he has gained a plethora of weapon form. One which he didn't know where it came from.

"Pipe Sword… This weapon randomly unlocked when I absorbed a lot of monster materials in one go. Since it's a binding skill, I use it a lot to capture monster guards off."
Because of that, he uses the weapon form until the ability is unlocked so he can use it whenever he wants.
"After hours of non-stop fighting, I've only reached level 14. A few EXP more then I'll get to level 15. The EXP requirement got bigger and bigger as I levelled up."
And there's a bigger problem right now. Tomori is lost in the forest.
"There's supposed to be a village nearby. But there's an abandoned mine up ahead. It's a good thing that I bought a pickaxe. I can start mining."
Even though Minecraft is not a game that Tomori would play all the time, it's one of the games that he will enjoy playing.
As he got closer to the mine, he saw an almost broken down storage room. He then went inside the storage room to find if there's anything interesting inside of it.
"There's nothing besides a rusty pickaxe, a rusty chain and a strand of rope."
Tomori went and took those items and let the weapon absorb it.

Tomori left the storeroom and went inside the mine.
"Hmm… It's so dark inside. Are there any torches lying on the ground?"
He looked at the ground and then he realised something.
"Wait… I have a crafting system."
He immediately opens his status to access the crafting menu. He hoped that the crafting recipe for torch is similar to Minecraft, but it's not.
"Okay, I can't craft a torch. But I can craft a lantern? That's odd. Anyways…"
He puts the item in the crafting menu and waits for the magic to happen. The lantern comes out from the gemstone of his sword.
"I didn't expect the lantern to already be lit up. I don't understand game logic at all."
He holds the lantern in his left hand and continues venturing into the mine.
"Going inside an abandoned mine alone isn't something that I expect to do after being summoned yesterday."
What Tomori expected when he get isekaied is that his adventures would be like Konosuba. But he isn't prepared to face the bullsh*terry that Konosuba has to offer. And speaking of bullsh*terry…
"Oi, oi, what the f*ck is this?!" Tomori looks in front of him and sees there's a lot of species of monsters in every corner of the mine.

He prepared himself to fight dozens of those monsters. " Sigh* For my survival and other stuff…" He weakly chants.
There's a person inside the Church of The Shaft and Projectile.
"Shadow." The person who seems like a pope called the ones who's hiding in the shadow.
"Yes, Pope Balsilus." The Shadow replied.
"Did you plant the trap to kill off the Blade Demon?" The pope asked.
"Yes. I have already attracted a bunch of savage monsters inside the abandoned mine near the Davenport Village. Our intel suspect that the Blade Hero will enter the mine after finding the monster inside the forest is weak."
"Hmm… How many kinds of monsters do you put inside the mine?"
"Around eight. Including the Horned Rabbit that the Blade Hero feared for some reason. Though, that fear fuels him to kill the rabbits even more."
"That's not enough, shadow. The Blade Demon is known to be a savage hero, leading all those demons around. A mere monster wouldn't be able to stop him."
"Yes, pope. But I had taken one of the sorcerer's monsters inside the dungeon to be brought to the mine in case the monsters weren't enough."
"Oh, what monster is it?"
"The Ore Lizard. The sorcerer himself offered himself to bring the lizard to the mine so that he will be able to see the end of the Blade Hero himself."
"I see… By god's will, the Blade Demon wouldn't stand a chance. You're dismissed, shadow." The pope said.
"Yes sir!" The Shadow lurks back into the darkness.
"This is the end of you, Blade Demon…" The pope said with a smile on his face.
"I guess that's all the monsters in here…"
After brutally killing all the monsters and escaping death multiple times, he finally reached level 25. Not only that, he has unlocked all of his skill and his Iron Sword has reached mastery level 100.
"Without disturbance, let's get mining." He brings out a pickaxe and changes his weapon into the Pickaxe Sword. He goes to the section that has a lot of ores sticking out.
"Okay, here goes nothing." As he held the pickaxe, he saw a cursor on his vision that showed the weak points of the walls. "Not like Minecraft, but nice."
He continued to mine the cave. He has gained a lot of Copper Ores and Iron Ores. "This will make good crafting material." He takes the lantern and heads to the next section of the mine.
As he walked, he saw a footprint that's almost three times as big as his head. "Is there a monster up ahead? Maybe I should scout the place first before I start mining."
Ignoring the footprint, Tomori continued walking. He then arrived at the deeper part of the mine. It seems like there's also a waterfall inside of it. There's also a lot of ore sticking out from the walls.
"This is going to make me rich, but first…" He tries to check the area if there's any monster nearby. He has a perfect skill for this. " Allure Reaction!"
Allure Reaction is a skill that will aggro any monster that's close to him. It also can expose enemies that are invisible.
Tomori decided to wait a few seconds to see if anything was coming his way. "Seems like there's nothing. I guess I can start mining-"
Screech*
"I said it too soon, didn't I?" He then proceeded to look where the noise came from. It comes from a cliff on top of him. "A giant lizard?" He then opened his status up to check the stats of the lizard.
Ore Lizard (Adamantium) LV.?
"Ada-Adamantium?! Isn't that the strongest metal next to Mytril? Doesn't that mean its scales are as strong as Adamantium? And its level is ?. Which means it's 10 levels higher than me or even higher. I can't defeat it. Not as I am now. I need to get out of-"
As he was about to leave, the tunnel entrance that he went through suddenly got closed up.
"What?!"
There's a person behind the lizard.
"Yes! My prayers have been answered! I get to kill the Blade Demon with my pet!" The sorcerer said while giving out a menacing smile. "Now go on, unleash your fang and claws to the Blade Demon!"
Screech*
The lizard went down from the cliff.
"Ah sh*t." The lizard rushed towards Tomori. "So fast!" But despite that, he managed to evade the lizard.
"What the hell just happened? How the tunnel suddenly closed up. There's now way it could happen naturally. Which means… Someone sabotaged me. Who does it?!"
The lizard rushed towards him again. "That's not important right now. But can I defeat a monster that is 10 levels or higher than me? Then I have to find its weaknesses."
As the lizard gets closer to him, he activates a skill. " Chain Bind!" A chain shows out of thin air and wraps itself to the lizard body.
"Let's take out the eyes first." Tomori went closer to the lizard face and changed back to his Iron Sword. " Oblique-"
Before he could stab its eyes, the lizard breaks off from the chain and bites his left arm.

"ARGH!!!"
Tomori screams in agony as the lizard bites his left arm. He could feel the lizard teeth in his left arm skin.
" Oblique Thrust!"
Clang*
He tried to use a skill to stab its eyes. But instead of piercing its eyes, it bounced instead. When he does it, the lizard proceeds to bite his arm even harder.
"ARGH!!!"
"My arm! If I let this thing bite it even harder, it would chomp my arm off. My HP is slowly falling also. And my SP is-That's it!"
He opens his status magic. "Please… Let it work…" He activated a skill. Then, he used all of his EP on it.
" Strike Edge!"
He used the 100% EP powered skill to slash both of the lizard eyes.
SCREECH*
The lizard opens its mouth, giving a chance for Tomori to get away from it.
"Potions… I need it!"
But before he could take it out, the blind lizard used its tail to slam him hard into a wall.

"ARGH!!!"
His body slammed against the wall.
"My legs… They couldn't move… And that cracking sound… Did my spine break just now?"
Then he noticed a liquid flowing through his eyes.
"Is that… Blood? Don't tell me that my skull just cracked open or something…"
He looks at his HP bar. Then he just sighed in disappointment.
"Under 20%… And the only functioning limb I have right now is only my right arm… Not even a potion in my inventory can heal me now… It's only a matter of time before that thing finishes me off."
"Yes! I have broken the Blade Demon!" The sorcerer said. "Now it's not time for you to die, Blade Demon. The fun only begins now. Hahaha… Hahaha! HAHAHAHAHA!!!"
Though Tomori doesn't even know or do anything to him, he only felt hatred for him because he's the Blade Hero.
"And because the lizard is blind now, I have to do everything myself! Damn you, Blade Demon!" The sorcerer then opens his status magic to control the lizard using the monster seal.
The lizard suddenly stopped. Then, the lizard started moving to Tomori like a robot.
"Don't tell me that I've lived this long… Just to die like this. In a cave, alone with a fantasy lizard…" He then just sighed and closed his eyes. "Maybe I can go home if I die here…"
After hearing a few footsteps of the lizard, Tomori heard a beep inside of his head.
"Huh? Where does that come from?"
He then noticed a text appear in his mind. Saying:

As his sword is changing form, there's a blue line forming on Tomori's face. His eyes also changed from dark brown to blue.
Tomori sword's change into a pure white sword with gold accents. The gemstone turned from red to arctic blue.
"???" The sorcerer stopped the lizard from moving. "What's happening with the Blade Demon's body?"
Few seconds later, a shockwave comes out from Tomori's body, sending the lizard flying away.
"What the?! What kind of devilry are you pulling Blade Demon?!" The sorcerer said with hatred in his tone.
"Huh? Did I hear someone? Maybe it's my imagination…"

Tomori's broken bones started healing slowly.
"What is this…" He opens up his status magic to see which weapon he's equipping right now.

"I felt tired… But I also felt powerful at the same time… Maybe the more tired I felt, the more powerful this weapon will be." Tomori thought as he tried to not sleep.
"DAMN YOU!!!" The sorcerer controls the lizard to attack Tomori. The lizard rushed at him at a high speed.
"Huh? I swear I heard a voice somewhere." Tomori then turned to the rushing lizard. "It's definitely not you. What a pain of *ss"
As the lizard rushed towards him, he blocked the lizard rushing with only his sword's blade.
"WHAT? HE COULDN'T DO THAT BEFORE?! HOW COULD HE DO THAT NOW!!!" The screaming for the sorcerer just got louder.
"Argh… My ears are bleeding because of that mysterious voice. Maybe you are the cause of it." Tomori sword's gemstone started glowing brightly. "Then die. Self Curse Corrosion."
Then, the face of the lizard started rusting like its body was made from metal in the first place.
SCREECH*
The lizard screeched in pain.
"Oi! What are you doing? You're 30 levels higher than that demon! Finished him off!" The sorcerer tried to control the lizard by activating the monster seal.
SCREECH*
The lizard screams in agony as his head has been zapped by purple lightning. Tomori then closed his ears because of it.
"Dammit… Just die… Chain Bind." Tomori summoned a chain that binds the lizard.
SCREECH*
"It still doesn't shut up…"
Beep*
"Huh? This is…" There's a combo sequence menu on Tomori's status.
"This is the first time something like this has happened… I guess I could try it out. Let's see… Switchblade (Attack)."
Then, another menu pops up. But there's only one option there.
" Acid Blade (Weak)."
The chain that binds the lizard started flowing acid onto its body.
SCREECH*
"Ergh… The screeching got even worse… Time to finish it, once and for all…" As he activates the last skill of the combo sequence. As he activated it, a text appeared in his status.
"Do I need to read this out loud? Sigh* So corny…"
He pointed his sword towards the lizard.
"Let the foolish mortal taste hell before me… Forbid their body from reaching the afterlife… Summon a blade that will decapitate their head…"
The arctic blue gemstone started glowing brightly.
" Guillotine."
Tomori SP bar instantly emptied. A storm cloud appears inside the mine. Then, a huge guillotine blade dropped from it. The blade directly chopped off the Ore Lizard head.

"Ah… I got to level 44… That's good… And the shouting is gone too." Tomori let out a small smile.
"De-Demon…" The sorcerer can't believe that the Blade Demon who's underleveled can defeat an Ore Lizard that has Adamantium as its skin and scale.
"Hmm… I wanted to get out of here to get some fresh air…" Tomori went to the closed tunnel. " Oblique Thrust."
He thrusted the closed tunnel with his sword. Then, the closed tunnel crumbled apart.
"That's a High-class magic spell that I casted on the tunnel. No wonder the pope said to be wary of the Blade Demon. But I don't have any chance to kill him right now." The sorcerer is sad because he can't kill Tomori.
"Oh, I guess I needed the lizard parts." As he walked towards the lizard corpse, he fell down to the ground. The weapon form automatically switches out to the Small Sword. "My legs felt like noodles right now… And I felt so tired…" Tomori slowly closed his eyes and passed out.
" Gasp* Could it be!" The sorcerer let out a creepy smile. "God has answered my prayers yet again! I must fulfill the divine punishment to the Blade Demon-" As he was babbling around like a crazy guy, he felt like his throat had been sliced.

The sorcerer fell down the ground while blood was following out from his neck. Then, he saw a figure. It seems like a Shadow. But it's not a Shadow from the church.
"I need to… Fulfil the task that god has offered to me! I will not die like this! I'm the sorcerer of-" As he was monologuing, the Shadow stabbed his head with a knife, killing him instantly.
"It seems like the Church of The Shaft and Projectile is always filled with zealots and lunatics." The Shadow said while cleaning her dagger using the sorcerer's clothes.
The Shadow then looked down onto Tomori's body who's passed out. "I'm sorry that I won't be able to directly help you, Blade Hero. But I shall hasten the other Church members in the area. I must say, even against the odds, you have managed to survive."
The Shadow then lurks into the darkness.

"Err… What the hell I'm feeling right now…" He turned his head and saw a bunch of Blue Slime mounting on his back.

He stood up and slimes dropped off his body. The slimes then left him alone. "That's weird. Did they just… Teabagged me?"
Tomori thought of chasing every single one of them to unalive them. But he noticed that the bite mark on his left hand was gone.
"Not only that, but my spine also recovered. What in the hell is that weapon…" He opened up his Weapon Tree menu to search for the weapon.
"Nothing… Where's that weapon coming from? How about I called it out? Blade of Idle!"The Small Sword slowly turned into the cursed weapon.
"Ugh… I felt tired again." He switched back to the Small Sword. "This is weird… This weapon doesn't exist on the Weapon Tree. But somehow I can access it. Oh! I almost forgot!"
Tomori rushed over to the Ore Lizard corpse.
"I… Really did kill it." He absorbed the lizard's body into his inventory. Then, he absorbed the lizard's head.

Tomori sprints out from the mine, evading every monster that he sees. "What? It's almost night time? How long did I passed out?" Tomori then continued to sprint to Castle Town.
There's two guards guarding the entrance to Castle Town.
" Sigh* Look at the sunset, Bobby. Isn't that beautiful?" A knight said to his friend, Bobby.
"Why do you always say that, Bobby? Aren't we always guarding this gate from evening till the middle of the night? We have seen the sunset ever since we were promoted to this position." The knight, Robby, replied to his friend.
"Come on then, be positive. Besides, we get paid a lot of coins for just standing right here."
" Sigh* But I wanted the adrenaline, you know what I mean? Sure we got paid a lot, but where's the fun in that?"
"If that's the case, why don't you become an adventurer then?"
"It's because I know that if I'm an adventurer, I wouldn't get coins as much as this job does."
"Then quit complaining and watch the sunset with me."
"But aren't we supposed to watch if there's anything suspicious trying to get inside the Castle Town?"
"Relax, there's been no trouble since we got this job. Don't worry about it-" Then, both of them heard something. "Hey, Robby, do you hear that?"
"Yeah, Bobby, I did hear that." Both of them trying to find the source of the sound. "There's it, Bobby, look!" Robby pointed in a direction.

What they saw was Tomori sprinting like crazy.
"Uh, Bobby, should we stop him?" Robby asked his friend.
"Yeah…" Bobby cleared his throat. "Halt-"
But before he could finish, the Tomori sprint passed them.
"Uh, Bobby, should we alert the other guards or something?"
"Nah, that would make us leave this entrance. How about we ignore it and watch the sunset?"
"I still can't understand why we were friends in the first place…"
"My cardio is sh*t, but I don't feel tired at all from the sprinting. I guess this is the effect of isekai." Tomori continues running until he finds the shop that buys monster's parts. Then, he finds the shop. "Hello, I heard from my acquaintance that you buy monster's parts and used equipment here. Can I sell you some?" He said to the man at the counter.
The man looks at him. Tomori's clothes are full of dirt, his hair smells like blood and the glove in his left hand has bite marks on it. "Yes, what parts that you wanted to sell to me?"
"Wait a sec…" He opened up his inventory and selected all the items that he wanted to sell. Then, a lot of monster skin, bones, flesh, blop and everything shows up at the side of the counter. Thanks to the Automatic Butchering special effect that he received from Alpha Hound Wolf Sword, he can instantly butcher any monster corpse to his liking. "Can you buy all of this?"
He opened up his inventory and selected all the items that were required to claim the rewards and the materials that he wanted to sell. Then, a lot of monster skin, bones, flesh, blop and all of his iron weapons show up at the side of the counter.
Thanks to the Automatic Butchering special effect that he received from Alpha Hound Wolf Sword, he can instantly butcher any monster corpse to his liking. The only things that he kept are some items that he can use to either craft something or convert to Energy Point, the Ore Lizard bones and skin.
"What…" The man didn't expect a lot of monster's parts would show up. Not from thin air of course. The man concludes that the customer he was dealing with is the Blade Hero. From the look at it, if he decides to rip him off, he wouldn't know what will happen to him since Blade Hero is known as a savage hero who's always eliminating people if things don't go their way. That's the story that he heard from the church.
"So, you wanna buy it or not?" Tomori asked him.
"Yes! Let me start counting!" The man started estimating all of the items worth. After a few minutes, the man takes the items into the back of his shop then brings three huge pouches of coins into the counter.
"Pleasure doing business with you." Tomori said with a smile on his face. He takes the pouches and stores them into his inventory. He then head to the Inn.
"Welcome-"
The Inn owner stopped when he saw Tomori's appearance.
"Can I get a room with a bath?" He asked the Inn owner.
"Sure… It's 3 silver."
He pulled out a small pouch and took out 3 silver. He gave it to the Inn owner. He stored the pouch back into his inventory. The Inn owner saw this.
"Are you perhaps a…"
"Don't mind it. I just wanted a bath for myself. Can you give me the keys already?"
"Oh, yes." He picked up one of the keys on the board and gave it to Tomori. He quickly went upstairs to his room. He went inside and took off all of his clothes. He stored it inside his inventory and went to the bathroom. He filled the tub with water and went inside of it.
" Sigh* As expected from the Castle Town's Inn… They also prepared some soap for the room…" Tomori then sunk deeper into the tub. He opens up his status magic and upgrade his newly acquired weapon.

After he finished taking a bath, Tomori washes his dirty clothes, cloak and breastplate. He then hung it inside of his room. Tomori wore his Adidas clothes and some new leather equipment that he got from his Drop System for extra protection.
He then leaves the Inn and goes to the tavern.
Tomori is peacefully eating the kid's meal that he ordered. The waitress at the Tavern is weird because of the fact that a man in his early 20's ordered a kid's meal, but she ignored it and gave Tomori whatever he wanted.
"I usually eat a kid's meal if I'm low on money. But since I don't know anything about the menu because it is written in a language I didn't know, I went and ordered the kid's meal instead because I know that a kid's meal is universal in any restaurant. Even if it's another world."
As he was eating the meal, someone he was familiar with approached him, holding a bottle of wine. "That red haired girl from the blondie normie party… What does she want now?"
"Sir hero, would you like to join me for a drink?" The woman said with a smile on her smile.
" Sigh* My Tomorizz's sense that this woman here is bad news." He stopped eating. "Sorry, but I don't drink alcohol." Tomori doesn't drink alcohol because it taste like sh*t and he doesn't receive any benefit from it besides having the ability to get wasted on a random location.
"I see, but would you like to join me for dinner?" The woman continued to pester him.
"Can't you see I'm eating dinner, woman?" Tomori quickly finished his meal and stood up from his seat. "Sorry, I have other plans tonight." He quickly left the tavern.
The red haired woman can only click her tongue in distress.

Tomori is using his pestle and mortar to create potions. "It's done…"

"Hmm… If I handmade the potions, the quality could vary. But the quality from a Crafting System potions is always normal. I guess making the potions by hand is more effective if you choose quality over quantity."
Tomori put the potions inside of his inventory and lay down on his bed. "Let's revise what happened today. No one wanted to join my party, I buy some stuff, joined the guild, got a lot of materials, a lot of levels, almost died, gained a lot of new weapon forms, etc. Aside from almost dying, it's pretty good so far. But I still wondered who's the one who sabotaged me…"
As he thinks of it, Tomori gets a feeling of unease. So, he stood up from his bed, still somewhat wet and headed to the door's handle. Until he heard someone speaking.
"Are you sure the plan is going to work, Princess Maia?" He heard a woman's voice.
"Huh?" He stopped pulling the door's handle and put his ears close to the door frame.
"Yes, I'm positive that it will work." He heard another voice that he knew.
"That's the red haired woman's voice. Is she the princess of this country?"
"But Princess, from what the Shadow tells us, the Blade Demon is a cunning guy. He even managed to survive the trap that has been laid this evening. Not only that, he has befriended the Projectile Hero and Magic Hero. What are the chances that it's going to work? How about we just eliminate him right now using the Church's Shadow?"
"Oh, so they're the ones who sabotage me. The church… Why does every religion have something weird going on with them?" Tomori continued to eavesdrop on their conversation.
"No. Even my father will get suspicious if the Blade Hero mysteriously dies. Sure, he doesn't like the Blade Hero, but it's too risky if he finds out." Then, her tone changed into an angry one. "If that happens, I wouldn't become the queen. So we have to eliminate him properly while my mother is away."
"Queen… Don't tell me this country is matriarchal?! Oh boy, I don't want to stay in a country led by feminist. I need to get the hell outta here. But I need to learn more of this 'plan'."
"And how will you achieve that?" The other woman said.
"Simple. My father wouldn't ignored her daughter that almost got raped by someone. And because of his status as a hero, my father wouldn't be able to execute him. Instead, he will spread the news of what happened throughout the country."
"I see, which means that he would lose his reputation."
"Yes. And after that, you could do anything you wanted to kill him off. Like hiring bandits or anything else. Just remembered to 'clean' the evidence. That way, no one could suspect that you're the ones doing it."
"Now I see why Pope Balsilus sent his agents out. But how about the adventurers that had signed up to join his party?"
"What? There's someone who is supposed to join my party?!"
"Heh, don't worry about it. It's just a knight and some few demi-humans. The knight has been arrested for murder and the demis has been killed because why not?"
"Why not?! Damn, the princess is a sicko!"
"And with the support of the Shaft Hero who always thinks about women, in no way he will support him. It's the same for the other heroes. No girls in the world will try get close to someone who tries to rape a women, am I right?" The princess then let out a hysterical laugh.
"Ah sh*t, I need to get the hell out of here now-"
Clack*
As he tried to head to the window, the wooden floor that he stepped on made a noise.
"Wait, don't tell me that he heard all of that?!" The princess shouted.
"F*ck this sh*t I'm out!" Using the power of memes, Tomori jumped out of the windows.
"No! Don't let him get to the castle! Do everything you can to stop him from reaching the castle!" The princess continued.
"Yes!" The woman summoned a Shadow.
"Tch! When everything is going smoothly…" The princess bit her thumb.
Tomori is falling because he jumped off from the windows.
"Rope Sword!" He changed his weapon and used the Long Rope to attach it to anything that can save him from falling. "Ugh!"
Luckily, he managed to save himself from fall damage. He changed his weapon back to the Ore Lizard (Adamantium) Sword and rushed to the castle.
"I need to get to the king first before her daughter. I don't know if the king will believe me or not, but it's worth trying to reason with him."
As he was running, a person wearing something like a ninja suit instantly appeared in front of him. "What-" The person then touched Tomori's body and he felt like he was teleported somewhere.
"Hah!" Tomori pushed away the ninja to get some distance and he looked around his surroundings. "I don't know where this is. Don't tell me this ninja here is preventing me from going to the castle."
Tomori prepared his battle stance. And so did the ninja "Tch! The f*ck is going on here?! Why am I in this situation?!" He looked at the ninja, waiting for him to make the first move.
"I don't have time for this!" He activates the special effect of his sword to send a couple of scales towards the ninja person. But the ninja evaded it. " Chain Bind!"
Tomori summoned the chain to bind the ninja. " Blade Bash!" He activates the skill which can stun the opponent for a few seconds. This will make him able to get away from the ninja.
But the ninja break the chains off and evade the skill. "Not so fast!" He used the Long Chain synthesis effect on his sword to warp the ninja, but the ninja slash the chains.
"Damn, how I'm supposed to get out of here if this ninja keeps breaking out from my binding. I know!" Tomori prepared himself to change weapon form. "Blade of Idle!"
Blue lines appeared on his face and his eye color changed. His weapon also changed. " Chain Bind! Switchblade (Attack)!"
He used the combo that he used on the lizard.
"!!!" The ninja groaned in pain as she didn't manage to get out of the chains in time.
"Good! Now I need to-" Then, two more ninja appear. "Argh, f*ck this sh*t! Why did you guys appear all of the sudden!"
Normally, Tomori only felt tired when he switched to the curse weapon, but now he felt enraged. He felt anger dwelling inside of him. Anger because someone wants him dead. Anger because these people disturb him from meeting the king. Anger because he has to face this.
" Sigh*" He just sighed in disappointment. "JUST STAY OUT OF MY WAY!!!"

The lines on his face change from blue to red. And so do his eyes. The gemstone on his sword changes from arctic blue to crimson red. The sword's appearance changed from pure white with a golden accent to pitch black with a red accent.
Tomori then thrust his sword to the ground. " Self Curse… BURNING!!!" The blade lets out a black flame that surrounds Tomori. The ninjas back down so that they wouldn't get hit by it. But Tomori came out from the black flames to attack one of the ninja.
" Execution! Blade Bash!" Execution is a skill that doubles the damage and effect of a skill. He smacked the ninja with his sword. The ninja went flying from the attack.
"HAH!!!" Tomori went for the next ninja. He swung his sword like a madman.
Clang* Clang* Clang*
The ninja managed to parry his barrage of attack, but it left her with no space to counter back.
"ARGH!!!" Tomori swung his sword. Each attack becomes heavier. Tomori activated the special effect to burn his opponent, blinding her. Then he activates a skill. " Slant Slash!"
He slices off her right arm that holds the dagger and kicks her into the stomach so that she falls down. Tomori looks at the ninja with pure hatred. For the first time of her life as a Shadow, she felt fear. The fear of death.
As Tomori prepares to finish the ninja once and for all, there's something stopping him from the inside.
"No… Not this… You're not going to kill a person, Tomori… Not without any good reason…" He said to himself.
The lines disappeared from his face and his eyes returned to normal. But the sword still doesn't turn back. He then looks at the ninja who's on the ground, groaning from the pain of having her right arm sliced off.
"Tch!" He turned his head away and left the scene. "I don't know where I am, but if I see Castle Town, then I'm going there. I hope I have time…"
As he ran, another few ninjas appeared. "Again?! Don't disturb me!" He activated the special ability of his sword. But the black flames aren't as wild as before. He swung his sword, not letting any of the ninjas get near him.
It works wonders, but the ninjas aren't letting him go that easy. All of the ninjas throw a few daggers at him.
"Sh*t!" He needs to think of a way to defend himself from the daggers. "!" He has an idea. Because the sword stuck to him like a magnet, it won't fall even if he doesn't close his grip.
He turns back and spins the hilt of the sword on the palm of his right hand like a helicopter.
Clang* Clang* Clang*
All of the daggers fall to the ground as it hits Tomori's sword. "I'll call that Spinning Blade." As excited as he was for inventing a technique, he needs a distraction to get the ninjas away from him.
Then, another two ninjas appeared in front of him. One of the ninjas is shorter than the other one. "Great! As soon as I need a distraction, more ninjas come out of nowhere."
The tall ninja turns to Tomori. "Blade Hero, return to Castle Town immediately. We will distract them."
Tomori's eyes widened. He then takes a good look at two of the ninjas. "The short ninja… Is it me or have I seen that ninja somewhere else…"
The short ninja evades her gaze from Tomori.
"Whatever. This is a good chance!" He gave a nod to both of the ninjas and ran off. He also changed his weapon back to the Ore Lizard (Adamantium) Sword.
"Do you think it's a good thing that the Blade Hero knows of our existence?" The short Shadow said to another Shadow by her side.
"Whether it's a good thing or not, we need to assist the heroes. I'm sure the queen wouldn't mind." The ninja replied. "By the way, aren't you supposed to be with the Magic Hero? I'm surprised that you wanted to follow me."
"Yes, but we need to prioritize the hero's safety, don't we?"
" Sigh* Don't push your luck, rookie."
Both of them prepared to hold back the Church's Shadows.
Tomori didn't know how long he was running for. Minutes? Hours? All he knows now is the sun is rising and he was near Castle Town.
"Finally!" He went through the entrance gate with no one guarding it. "Seems like no one's awake yet…"
He rushed to the Castle. There's some knights guarding the entrance to the Castle. They ignored Tomori who's rushing into the Castle.
"Weren't we supposed to apprehend him?" One of the knights asked his partner.
"No, let the demon go to the king himself. Makes our job easier."
"Yeah, you're right. Too bad Bobby and Robby wouldn't see the fall of the Blade Hero though."
Stare*
Tomori received a lot of stares from the knights and attendants inside the Castle.
"Am I too late? No, maybe there's time to explain what happened to the king. But the one who planned it was his own manipulative daughter. I hope the king can be reasoned with…"
As he arrives at the front doors of the royal chamber, he pushes the door and sees the king in his throne, some knights, Tadashi with the princess behind him and both Akira and Reika beside him. All of them gasped when they saw Tomori.
"Guards! Surround the Blade… AT ONCE!" The king said, sounding angry.
Knights wielding spears surrounded Tomori. Then, a few knights detained him and brought him closer to the king. Tomori didn't retaliate as he wanted the king to listen to his pleading.
"Your highness, there's something I need to tell you about-" Before he could finish, the king cut him off.
"BLADE! I know there is something wrong when you show your face in front of me!" The king shouted at him. "You're lucky you aren't killed on the spot!"
"But your highness, I have something to tell you-"
"How dare you try to rape May-chan! And not only that, but you run away as soon as you fail to do that!" He was interrupted by Tadashi.
"So that was the story she told everyone… But May? Is that her adventurer name?" Tomori is in a bad situation. "But I didn't do it. What benefits do I receive from attempting to rape a woman in a matriarchal country? I may not be the smartest man alive but I'm not an idiot."
"Lies! Can't you see the tears that she shed!" Tomori looks at the princess who has teary eyes.
"Even a baby can make a better crying face." Tomori isn't going to give up. "Listen, the Church of The Shaft and Projectile is plotting something against me. And your daughter there assists them in their plot."
Some people inside the royal chamber gasped, including the king himself. They didn't expect Tomori to know about it. But Reika is interested in hearing about Tomori pleading. And Tadashi is wondering who the king's daughter is? He wanted her to join his party later.
"And you wanted to know how I knew about it? Because she," Tomori pointed at the princess "And someone I didn't know off, discussed their plans, in front of my Inn's room."
Another gasped, but it's from Tadashi. "May, I didn't know that you're a princess."
"That's the thing that surprised you?!" Tomori shouted to the point that everyone in the royal chamber was shocked. "Can't you see that I'm being accused right now? I almost died yesterday because the church trapped me inside the mine with a monster whose level is higher than me! I was teleported to an unknown place by a ninja! And I spend hours running back here so that I can tell you guys this! And where's the proof that I tried to rape her?! I'm sure there's no CCTV yet in this era!"
As Tomori said that, several knights came inside the royal chamber. "We found this in the Blade Hero's Inn's room…" A knight is holding torn clothes.
"Blade… What can you said about this evidence?" The king asked him.
"Anyone could put that inside my room and claim that is her clothes. But listen your highness, I don't attempt to rape your daughter. There's no benefit for me-"
"SILENCE!" The king said with hatred in his tone.
"Ugh… I know he has every right to be angry with me right now, but I'm innocent! Can he just check things out?! I'm sure there's magic here that can tell if there's someone lying or not."
"Can't we just send this loser back to where he came from?" Tadashi said.
"Loser… LOSER?!" Tomori's eyes and sword's gemstone started changing colors. This is the final straw for him.
"I would very much like to send you home, but the waves of destruction will not allow it. New Heroes can only be summoned once the original four have all died." The king explained.
"What?!" All of the heroes except Tomori gasped at the information.
Thud*
Tomori breaks free from the knights.
"Eh, trying to run, huh?" One of the knights decided to poke Tomori with his spear, but Tomori pulled his sword out and slash the tip of the spear.
"Damn you-" Another knight tries to attack him, but Tomori holds the spear's shaft with his left hand and breaks it into half.
Gasp*
Everyone is shocked by this. Tomori glared at Tadashi with his violet eyes. "Loser… You said… Who the hell is the loser here? The one who thinks with their mind or the one who thinks with their d*ck?!"
"What are you talk-"
"Don't f*cking mess with me!" Tomori interrupted him. "You think I'm the LOSER here?! F*ck off!"
"Knights! Surround him!" The king ordered.
The knights started surrounding him, but they were pushed back by a violet colored shockwave. Tomori then stared at Akira and Reika. Akira has a frightened face while Reika is still calm.
"Just you wait until the queen arrives here, Princess Maia. I will enjoy her company very much." The king is worried for a moment while the princess still puts on the act.
Tomori then turns back to exit the royal chamber.
"Oi! Where are you going?!" Tadashi said.
"Level up. Let's see who's the loser when the waves arrive, shall we?" Tomori said while not turning back.
"Your highness!" Tadashi turned to the king.
"Let him be. I expect you to appear during the waves. If not, I will put you inside the dungeon underneath this Castle!" The king said to Tomori.
"As you wish…" Tomori then leaves the royal chamber.
"Hey, Reika," Akira whispered to her. "What's happening with Tomori back then? His eyes… Change to purple. The gemstone on his sword also changed to purple."
"I don't know… I never see anything like that in CPO." Reika replied to her.
"I see. But do you really think that… Tomori really attempt to rape the princess?"
"Hmm…I'm not sure. He did say that there's no benefit for him to do that, but you couldn't be so sure. Remember what he said yesterday? 'Some people in this world can't be trusted. No matter how nice they're on the outside, they might have hidden something inside of them'."
"But… I still feel like he didn't do it."
"What made you say that?" Reika asked.
"Well… Gut feeling." Akira hesitantly answer.
"Really?"
"Yeah…"
"You know, I'm sure somewhere else in the multiverse that both you and Tomori are siblings."
"What?! Why?"
"Don't know. Maybe it's my gut feeling."
"Haha, very funny." Both of them chuckled a bit. "But I still really think that Tomori didn't do it."
"He did mention that he almost died yesterday because of someone and some ninja teleported him far away before he could come here. And the Church of The Shaft and Projectile…" Reika scratches her chin.
"Should we be worried about them? If what Tomori says is true, our lives can be in danger if we let this slide."
"Agreed. I'm going to investigate this a little bit further. Can you help me with that?" Reika asked her.
"I can. Tell me what you wanted me to do. I would gladly help."
"Thanks. It would be good if we can speak to Tomori right now, but I guess he's not in the right mood for it right now…"
"Hey, what are you guys whispering about?" Tadashi asked both of them.
"Nothing. Just girls stuff." Akira said.
"Oh, is that so? I'm sorry to disturb you, but the king has news for us." Tadashi said.
"Maybe Tomori's right. This guy here might be thinking with his d*ck." Reika thought to herself.
As Tomori walked out from the Castle, he received many stares from the people.
"Those idiots… They're the one who summoned me and they wouldn't even believe what I said back then. And that blondie…" Tomori's head boiled just from thinking about him.
"Different world, same story. If I can get accused of doing something that I don't do back home, then what are the chances the same wouldn't happen here?"
There's some rising within Tomori's body, and it's definitely not the guy who's holding a shield.
"Ugh… I don't get any sleep. My clothes and armor are still wet. And I'm hungry…" As Tomori entered the Castle Town, one train of thought went inside of his head. "I… Want to go home…"
