Last Time on Danmachi: Not From This World!

In the back of the group of kids, one had tripped and was getting ready to be clawed alive by the goblin. Rushing towards the kids at speeds that should be impossible for someone his age, Bell had caught up to them just in time too. The moment the goblin was going for the kill it received a double palm strike in the chest, sending it flying backwards. "Hey kid, are you alright?" The kid heard, looking up to be greeted with a figure standing in front of them blocking out the sun.

"Hey kid, are you alright?" Bell asked the kid on the ground he had just saved, while offering him a hand. The kid on the ground was ready to take the offer, but the movement behind Bell caught his attention. "I-IT'S BEHIND YOU!" The kid managed to scream out. Just then, Bell had ducked as a claw had barely missed his head. Now on all fours, Bell sent a chakra-enhanced kick towards the goblin's chin. As the hit connected, the goblin was now floating in the air, giving Bell the time he needed to finish it.

Activating his Byakugan, Bell started analyzing the still floating goblin. Looking it over, the only thing that stuck out was a crystal that glowed orange with little black, orange, and a little bit of purple particles surrounding it. 'Hmm, that could be a weak point,' Bell thought as he moved into position to execute his plan. As the goblin started to fall back down to Earth, Bell got to the spot where it would land.

As the goblin got closer to the ground, Bell's eyes were fixed on the crystal as it was time to release his attack. '8 Trigrams Air Palm' Bell launched the vacuum shell attack at the goblin's back in mid-air. As the technique collided with the goblin's back, the goblin spat out blood. From Bell's position, he witnessed the crystal crack and, along with that, the goblin starting to turn into ashes. Deactivating his Byakugan, Bell could see the crystal flying down at him before catching it. When looking at the object in his hand, it looked way different; it still looked like a crystal, but it had a purplish tint to it with the inside glowing dimly orange.

From the kid's perspective, he had witnessed something that was unbelievable. First, he got saved by a person who looked like a kid himself; then he saw him perform some sort of move with his hand and 'BAM,' the fight was over. "Wow, that was amazing!" The kid yelled as he got up from his spot to run over toward Bell. "How did you do that? Can you teach me?" The boy asked, getting Bell to turn his head to face the child. Bell, now having a better view of the kid, reminded him of Konohamaru when he asked questions.

The kid had brown, shaggy hair with eyes that matched. He also had a round face with freckles scattered across it, and wore overalls. "Sorry, kid," Bell said, rubbing the back of his neck. "I can't teach you." The pouting child asked, "Why not?" "It's a secret," Bell replied, placing a finger over his smiling mouth while making a winking expression. Giving up, the child thanked Bell for saving his life and returned to the village, with Bell following closely behind.

When they returned to the village, the kid ran home to tell his parents a tale of his heroism. Bell, on the other hand, went back to his home, thinking about that goblin and the crystal he pocketed. 'Man, this world is strange,' he thought as he continued on his path home. The sun was already on the horizon when Bell finally reached his destination. Opening the door to his household, Bell was greeted by the silence that had once again filled his old home. With nothing better to do, Bell decided to check if there was any food left and what he found disappointed him.

Bell had opened up a cabinet only to find fruits and vegetables. He had been hoping to find some ramen, but settled with an apple. After finishing, he decided to take a nap, wondering what tomorrow had in store for him. Hours later, Bell had woken up to the sound of mumbling coming from outside his room. Cracking his eyes open, he could see his grandfather speaking to someone who had the same type of energy around them. Bell tried to listen to what they were saying, but couldn't make it out because all he heard were inaudible noises. Deciding it was pointless, he closed his eyes and succumbed to the darkness.

The next morning, the house was empty. No trace of his grandfather anywhere, as if he had vanished into thin air. The only thing that was out of place was a letter on the dining table that hadn't been there the previous day. Opening it up to read its contents, it was from his grandfather, explaining how he would never see him again and to live out his dreams to become a hero with lots of women. In a way, Bell was indifferent about the situation; he felt guilty knowing that he wasn't the kid his grandfather raised, pissed knowing that he would never become Hokage, but he would also make his grandpa proud by becoming the hero his grandfather knew he could be. He wasn't sure about the harem, but he'd be one hell of a hero, that's for certain.

Releasing a sigh, Bell placed the letter back on the table, knowing he had to get back to his original strength or he wouldn't be able to become a hero. It was going to take some time to regain that strength, and the path forward couldn't be any more clear than it already was; he would achieve his goal, this new dream. Looking at the door, Bell knew what had to be done.

After dressing up and packing some things he would need, Bell took a look around his home knowing he wouldn't see it for years to come. Pausing at the door, he took in one last look. 'You know, I haven't been here that long, but I think I'm gonna miss this place.' Bell thought to himself as he stepped outside, closing the door behind him while starting his new journey, having no clue how things would turn out.

ANNND CUT!! Man it took me so long to complete this. I thought I would never get this done because after months of working and going to school, it didn't seem like I would complete it but now that I've graduated from high school I have a little time. The other chapters I had already worked on so I was able to release them faster. I can probably post every week or two depending on how busy I am but i wanna give a HUGE THANKS to everyone that has given this story a chance. Also don't forget to leave your thoughts on the story.

But until next time on Danmachi: Not from this World.
