The hot desert beat at the ponies and dragon, and Yuga got the worse due to wearing the green cape; Rarity suggest he remove the cape only for him to refuse, he didn't want to reveal himself just yet. After countless hours, they found a run down town with the creatures there not pony nor do they look friendly; selling a number of items of unspeakable origins. Chaos happened when the strange creatures wanted to buy them as a two legged brown cat seen to distract the crowd. The cat, named Capper, gladly allowed the group to stay at his place until they thought of a plan.
The many shelves had items that interested the turned pony, so he read one of the many journals while Capper asked why he wore the cape.
"Oh, it's for my own reasons; nothing special, just because." Twilight, Applejack, and Rainbow knew why he had the cape; but they would keep silent on the subject matter. Yuga mostly kept to himself until he heard Rainbow mention a Sonic Rainboom. "What's that?" Rainbow stared at him for a sec before stating she wanted to show him it. "Now now, let's not go Sonic Rainbooming up in here please." Capper said as Yuga breathed a sigh of relief, but Rainbow promised he was seeing one at some point. "Okay, I'll see one of those, but how can a living creature reach sonic speeds? I reached sonic speeds once, but that requires a vessel to create that speed."
"You reached sonic speeds? How?" Rainbow asked as Yuga shakes his head. "Best you not know, it's why I said I am just a lost pony. Those speeds.. separated me from my home, my friends, and family. You make those speeds all you want, but know I can't get home so easily due to those same speeds." Yuga walked out after saying that, leaving a slightly shocked Rainbow.
"What-what just happened?" Rainbow asks anyone as Twilight answers. "I think you just upset him, he lives in the castle to learn how to repair his vessel. His first day, he got frustrated over not being able to come home quickly. This week has been hard on him, but he does try as he uses that reason to motivate him more."
"Interesting he reacted to that Sonic Rainboom.. and you only know him for a week?" Capper asks in response as Applejack nods. "Yup, I was the one that found him and his crashed vessel. He was caught up in wires and I had to get Twilight to help free him. He told us he was from another world, complete with not even knowing what magic was at his age; he should have the basic knowledge. Could he have come from the world in that mirror Twilight?" Twilight shakes her head in response, "I doubt it's the same world. But after this is over I would like to see if it is. Until then, Rainbow, can you apologize to Yuga for upsetting him please?" Which Rainbow sighs and heads to find Yuga.
Rainbow found Yuga sitting on top of Capper's place, looking out at where Equestria was. Figured he used his wings to get up there so she flew to his side. "You good Yuga?" Rainbow asks as Yuga sighs before looking at her. "Been better, just wish I could at least see my friends again. I bet my mom misses me.. they'll never believe where I went through."
"Yeah, sorry about me mentioning the Sonic Rainboom. You don't have to see it if it reminds you of home." Yuga only shakes his head and shows a small grin. "I still will see that Rainboom, sounds really cool to do and witness. Maybe I can learn to make a Sonic boom that is similar to a Rainboom, but not yours."
"You are on Yuga, before you leave; I will teach you to break the sound barrier and it will be awesome, but not as awesome as my Sonic Rainboom." Both ponies hoof bump as Rainbow raced the alicorn back down, which she won and the two joined the remaining ponies and Capper inside.
"What did we miss?" Yuga says coming through a back entrance with Rainbow Dash to see a mole entering to see the loot. The ponies were quickly rushed out and pretty much raced out of the town, heading for the mountain in the distance. Soon they landed on an air ship with pirates of the Storm King, where a lunch break saved them from being thrown overboard; despite three(technically four) having wings.
All the pirate crew set out dishes to eat as the ponies are more shocked than anything. Yuga especially, having experience with using tricks like these to surprise his opponents; so he didn't join in the lunch break, deciding to sit on the deck when he heard music from before deck. A few minutes later, the sails gained a rainbow color as he noticed a blue blob above the sky; it was Rainbow Dash and she was picking up speed very quickly. The explosion of colors seen was something Yuga had never seen before, he felt the Sonic speeds for a split second as the Rainboom lit up the sky as he looked awestruck. "That's a Sonic Rainboom.. it's incredible, my friends will never believe me when I tell them about this." But Twilight was not happy with the sight of the Rainboom, it did put a target on them so they hurried down once Tempest showed up.
Once explosions were heard, Yuga acted fast; as he and his friends were falling to their deaths from the pirate ship. Twilight did manage to get a crow's nest and part of the sail and with Spike's help, made a hot air balloon which Twilight herself flew towards the mountain. "Rainbow, that Rainboom was so cool; I can see why you brag it up as a big deal." Yuga said as Rainbow smiles which only reminded him more of Luke. "I know I was pretty awesome doing that, it makes this adventure 20% cooler." Twilight did look confused about something. "Yuga, you said your friends wouldn't believe you when you tell them. Do you know why?" Yuga nods, "cause I am from another world. Not one with ponies and magic. I was human before crashing here, ponies were simply horses that we rode and kept as pets. I know one will call this experience a weird dream when I know it's not."
"I do know what it's like to be human, we have this mirror in my castle that can send ponies to another world with humans and no normal magic. Could it be possible that this mirror can be your ticket home?" Twilight asked as Yuga put a hoof to his chin. "Possible, but I doubt it's my home. I am willing to see if it is, but I feel it is not the correct way back." "That and I honestly don't feel ready to leave yet." Yuga thought the balloon landed on the mountain near the ruins of a forgotten city of hippogriffs. Faint singing is heard coming from a lily in the center of a pond. All but Yuga jumped in the water and came to be sent down by a massive whirlpool while Yuga watched with a shocked expression which soon turned to fear as his friends were in danger and his only roadblock to helping them was an inability to swim.
