Jim, Blinky, Aaarrrgghh, Raelle, and Toby were all in Toby's room. Aaarrrgghh was focusing on playing his sushi game on Toby's T.V., while the others were talking about rescuing the real Enrique, and the Fetch was on Toby's dresser. The Fetch is a circular object made of twisted metal, having spiky poison green crystals on it. Toby, Aaarrrgghh, and Blinky found it when they were going through Strickler's office while he was at Jim and Raelle's house.
"What good is this amulet if it can't help me with this? Claire's brother is trapped somewhere in the Darklands, and there's nothing I can do about it?"
"Unfortunately, there is nothing any one of us can do," Blinky stated.
"What about the furgolator machine?" Jim asked, "If I can shrink down, maybe-"
"I mean, sure, we can go in all fun-size," Toby interrupted his friend, "But when it wears off, and we become full-size, we'll be stuck in there, too."
"Not to mention, we have no idea what is in the Darklands," Raelle told Jim, "There could be giant Venus Flytraps or anything that would want to eat us."
"And the Darklands is a black labyrinth, Master Jim," Blinky added, "Simply finding Baby Enrique would be a high impossible task of its own."
"Gunmar," Aaarrrgghh pitched in.
"Aaarrrgghh is right. If any of us were foolish enough to cross over, under no circumstances could you be saved, at risk of freeing Gunmar," Blinky informed the Trollhunter.
"But, what if-?" Jim began before Aaarrrgghh stood up furiously and cornered him.
"Under no circumstances!" Aaarrrgghh growled while Jim was trying his best to back away from Aaarrrgghh.
"Dude, don't be reckless! You almost just lost a golden tuna roll! Sit down! Relax," Toby told his wingman. Aaarrrgghh relaxes before he sits down and continues playing the game.
"What happened to the Trollhunter answering every call?" Jim questioned.
"You have a strong heart, Master Jim, a quality rarely seen in Trolls. I believe, one day, you will answer that child's call, but that day cannot be today," Blinky told him.
Inside the dollhouse, Chompsky watched the trolls and humans discuss before turning to his doll companion, who had her arms crossed. Soon, the Gnome started arguing with himself before he left his home and walked out. Chompsky's small finger pointed to the Fetch, and Toby dropped to his level.
"Chompsky, no! It's too much to ask," Toby told the Gnome.
Chompsky assertively chatters before he salutes. Blinky and Jim look at each other before looking at the Fetch behind them.
A rope was quickly found and tied around Chompsky's waist. Everyone stood in front of the Fetch that was now on the floor.
"Be careful. It's dangerous in the Darklands," Jim had gently put his large hand onto Chompsky's back.
"When you find Claire's brother, tug on the rope, and we'll get you back, got it?" Raelle said.
The Gnome gave Raelle a thumbs-up as Blinky leaned down to his level.
"I have sorely misjudged you. You are no vermin. You are a ver-man," Blinky said.
Toby's arms began to fidget before he called out, "Wait! She has something to say."
Toby grabbed the plastic doll, Gnome Chompsky's lovely girlfriend, and stretched out her arms in a hug-like a manner. The little Gnome grabbed his plastic girlfriend and hummed as he hugged her gently as he whimpered.
Chompsky turned her over and kissed her helmet before humming a soft tune as he rubbed the plastic space helmet. He gathered himself and handed his love back to Toby before notifying his friends that he was ready. The five stood behind a tipped-over the bed and watched shyly as Chompsky dramatically walked into the Fetch, disappearing into the green abyss.
"All we can do is hope," Blinky said.
Jim slowly let the rope move between his fingers, ready to grab it if it just even slipped.
"Okay, so far," Jim whispered, watching the rope slowly slide in until it went stiff and was tugged, "Hey! Hey, I just felt a tug!"
"Quick! Pull him in!" Toby stated. Jim was about to when the tug had been stronger than him, and nearly pulling Jim almost in, Toby and Raelle quickly caught him by the waist.
"Whoa, whoa! Hey, hey! Grab it! Grab it!" Toby grunted.
Blinky and Aaarrrgghh came to help, pulling Jim back as the tug fought harder, making the process more difficult.
"I am!" Jim exclaimed.
The weight pulling at the different ends became too much and caused the rope to snap, sending the five back. Toby gasped and crawled to the Fetch.
"No!" Raelle exclaimed.
"Chompsky! No!" Toby stuck his head in the Fetch before Aaarrrgghh quickly pulled him out as he whimpered.
"Oh, no," Jim said.
"He's a scrappy creature, Tobias. If anyone can survive there, it's him," Blinky comforted before asking Jim, "Still, want that furgolator now?"
They all looked defeated as the portal remained open. However, a knock at the window caused Jim's attention to drift to it, only to find NotEnrique. Raelle groaned in annoyance and disgust at the sight of the Changeling.
"Open up! Let me in!" NotEnrqiue begged as he continued to knock on the window.
"What's he doing here?" Jim asked as he opened the window, letting the Changeling hop onto the table.
"What do you want, NotEnrique?" Raelle asked.
"A goblin came at me. I made mincemeat out of him, but now, the rest of 'em want their pound of flesh. I'm lucky to have escaped with only a soiled diaper!" NotEnrique told the five.
"You've drawn the ire of goblin vengeance and have led them here!" Blinky slammed NotEnrique to the table, but Jim gently pushed him back.
"Blinky, take it easy!" Jim told his mentor.
"Relax! They think the girl did it. Now, they're after her," NotEnrqiue informed them.
After hearing NotEnrique, Jim slammed him back into the table, "They think Claire's responsible? They're gonna go after her! I have to save her!"
Jim let the Changeling go before nearly punching him but grabbed the amulet and took off. Once NotEnrique finally stood up, he looked at the remaining ones.
"Ain't no one goin' after him? Bular's got all the bridge pieces," NotEnrique added.
Raelle growled at the Changeling before transforming into her Gargoyle form and pinned NotEnrqiue to the table, "They've got every piece of Killahead Bridge? And you're only telling us now?!"
"And now, I hear all they need is the boy," NotEnrique struggled to say as he tried to get out of the Witcher's grip. Aaarrrgghh pulled Raelle's hand off NotEnrique before moving her away from the Changeling.
"We mustn't lose sight of Master Jim. Mistress Raelle, Toby, Aaarrrgghh, you protect the Trollhunter," Blinky ordered.
Aaarrrgghh gently grabbed Toby and led him out the bedroom door, and Raelle followed them. But Arrrgghh got stuck in the doorframe. And it allowed Toby to pop over Aaarrrgghh's shoulder and point an accusing finger.
"You are despicable," Toby said.
Aaarrrgghh gently tucked him out of view before shoving himself through the door. Raelle turned to face NotEnrique before her eyes glowed red, and she growled at him. NotEnrique nervously gulped before Raelle left the bedroom.
Once outside, Raelle took to the sky before flying to Claire's house. She hoped she would beat Jim in getting there or meet him there before the Goblins get to Claire's house.
As Raelle flew through the air, she kept an eye on the ground below in hopes of spotting Jim. But Raelle had underestimated how fast her brother was. She did not spot her brother on the ground the entire time she was flying. Raelle had to admit that her brother was faster than she thought, or it could be because he wanted to save Claire from the Goblins.
As Raelle approached the Nuñez house, she saw her brother and Claire running into the woods near the house with Goblins chasing after them. Raelle quickly came up with a play and dove into the woods. Raelle landed with a superhero kneeling in front of the Goblins while Jim and Claire continued running further into the woods with no intention of stopping. Raelle stood straight up with glowing red eyes as the Goblins snarled at her.
"If you want to get to them, your gonna have to go through me," Raelle told the Goblins before growling.
"Waka Chaka!" The Goblin Leader shouted before his Goblin army charged toward Raelle.
Dark purple and black smoke with light purple electricity surrounded Raelle's hand as she summoned her scourge. The stone end of the scourge was glowing. Raelle swung her weapon at the creatures, causing them to be destroyed. Each Goblin destroyed by Raelle's scourge exploded with black and purple sparks. A Goblin jumped on Raelle's back before she grabbed ahold of it and threw it at a tree. Raelle swung her scourge at the Goblin and destroyed the creature.
Many Goblins tried to get past Raelle and go after Claire, but she managed to stop most of them. Raelle saw the Goblins she didn't destroy run after Claire and Jim. Raelle groaned in annoyance before she took to the sky and flew above the woods as she tried to follow the Goblins to her brother and Claire. But the trees prevented her from getting a clear view of the annoying creatures and caused Raelle to lose sight of the creatures completely.
Raelle was unsure if her echolocation would work with the trees as it did when she found Jim in the sewer. Suddenly, Raelle was pulled out of her thoughts when a bright blue light flew past her at a high speed with a fading trail. Raelle instantly knew that what flew past her was the amulet.
Raelle quickly flew after the amulet and followed it as it dove into the woods. As Raelle followed the amulet, she saw her brother and Claire fighting off the Goblins. Jim and Claire were surrounded, standing their ground as the Goblins advanced, jumping onto Jim and covering him as Claire tried to smack any oncoming ones that had been after her. Raelle, seeing the situation, picked up speed, but the cluster of trees made it difficult.
Jim held out his hand as the amulet flew like a frisbee, shooting right into his palm. Once Jim spotted his amulet, he screamed, ready to catch it. The piece of metal landed right in his grip as he kneeled, the Goblins trying to rip it from his hands.
"For the glory of Merlin, Daylight is mine to command!" Jim yelled at the top of his lungs.
The blue waves shot down, throwing all the Goblins off of Jim. The tiny explosion had caught Claire's attention, the harsh blue light nearly blinding her. When Claire saw Jim float off the ground, the blue smoke covered him as he waited for his armor to connect. Her hand reached for him, watching with shock. Jim watched impatiently but also lightly raged at the recent events. He watched his armor connect, his sweater turning into a different black fabric. As the Goblins advanced on Claire, she was distracted by Jim, who landed on the ground, his knee and hand pressed into the dirt until he stood up straight, the sword appearing out of thin air.
"Get down," Jim stretched his hand out, warning her. Claire screamed and ran as Jim and Raelle went headfirst into the danger, slicing his sword and her scourge.
Flashes of blue, green, black, and purple appear as Jim and Raelle use their weapons to destroy the Goblins. As Jim sliced the Goblins, the creatures became balls of blue, exploding into the bright light. Amid the battle, Jim and Raelle swung their weapons in different directions, not missing the targets, grunting with every slice. Claire watched from the sidelines, wincing at the light but watching him fight skillfully. The smoke radiated from the sword.
Once Jim and Raelle finished off all the Goblins, the rest scurried away, and their green slime covered all the trees as the two relaxed, Jim's sword's blue smoke dying. Claire stepped up to Jim, cautiously because of Raelle, looking at the newly destroyed landscape.
"What the? How the?" Claire questioned.
Claire caught Jim's attention, making him turn to face her.
"Yeah," Jim gestured to his sword before sliding it on his back, the sword staying in its given position, "That cool thing I wanted to show you? This is it."
"This? This is... Wow," Claire stepped closer to him and eyed him before she looked at the amulet.
"Pretty much," Jim chuckled.
"This was never a costume," Claire said.
Jim chuckled in response, the two sharing a moment of silence, studying each other with trust, happiness, and just a tiny hint of love. However, the two were not aware of a Goblin advancing on them. Raelle caught sight of the creature. Once the Goblin jumped at them, Raelle quickly used her scourge, killing the Goblin instantly.
"Ugh, I hate those things," Raelle groaned, "Nothing but pains in my butt. They're worst than raccoons. You're welcome, you guys."
"Is that Raelle? These things took my brother? Do you know where he is?" Claire asked.
"Yes, yes, and no," Jim held his head in his hand, "It's complicated."
"The monsters in your letter! They were real monsters!"
"No, not monsters. Trolls," Jim corrected Claire.
"And some of them are our friends," Raelle added.
Claire backed up and was beginning to hyperventilate as Jim walked beside her.
"Breathe," Jim said.
"This is-
"Take a breath," Jim tried to comfort Claire, but she shoved him a little more gently this time.
"Don't tell me to," Claire interrupted Jim before he walked away but stopped right in front of a tree, turning to face him.
"Claire-"
"I should've believed you. Why does something that makes no sense make so much sense now? When you destroyed my house? When you missed so many rehearsals?" Claire questioned, "You wore that knight suit to tryouts! Ugh!" Claire groaned before she circled Jim, "Like, being in a stupid play is suddenly some high priority."
"No, it is! The play must go on! We have to make it look like everything is normal. If people knew... I'm-I'm sorry, Claire, but you can't tell anyone about this. Not your friends, not your parents," Jim told her.
"What am I supposed to tell my parents about Enrique? That-That he's a change-thing? I don't even know what that is!" Claire folded her arms before asking, "Am I ever going to see my brother again?"
"Like I said, it's... it's complicated," Jim replied, "But I can assure you, he is safe."
"Who else knows? Toby?" Claire asked as she pointed a finger at Jim, "Strickler?"
"I'll explain everything later," Jim told Claire, pressing his hands together, "You've been through a lot. But right now, we have to-"
A hiss stopped Jim mid-conversation, causing him to get very protective of Claire. Jim pulled out his sword as Raelle readied her scourge. A familiar haunting melody was whistled from all around. Jim and Raelle knew who it was and watched their surroundings.
"You need to run. Run home and don't look back," Jim told Claire.
"I'm not leaving!" Claire picked up the stick she used to beat down the Goblins and gripped it tightly. She looked around, "Who's whistling?"
"Someone who really needs to learn a different song," Raelle responded.
Nomura jumped from the branch she had been perched on and landed in front of the teens, Claire's face growing in pure shock and disbelief.
"How cute," Nomura commented before she lets out a breathless chuckle and reached for her swords, "And they say chivalry is dead."
Nomura pulled her two swords from her back, leaping over to the teens. Jim and Raelle got into a fighting stance, ready to fight the Changeling. But Jim couldn't fight properly if he was worried about Claire.
"Run, Claire!" Jim yelled.
Claire took off running to the woods, ducking under the branches, leaving Jim and Raelle to fight Nomura. The three circled one another in the clearing.
Nomura chuckled and held her swords up, ready to attack, "Let's see how you handle yourselves, children. Hi-yah!"
Nomura swiped her swords, intensely pressing them into the teenagers, but Raelle used her armored wings like a shield before she shoved Nomura back from her and Jim. Raelle moved her wing to allow Jim to quickly threw his sword at her, as Nomura turned, it barely grazed her, knocking on one of her swords and impaling itself in the same tree.
Nomura looked shocked before she grinned and turned to the Witcher and Trollhunter, "Impressive. How you've grown. I'll cut you down to size."
The sword evaporated and returned to Jim's hand before he and Raelle charged at Nomura with a battle cry. The two teens and Nomura continued to take swings at each other. Jim and Raelle would attack the Changeling in a tag team style. When one was knocked back, the other would attack.
Nomura kicked Jim back, the now athletic boy flipping back and landing on his feet. Raelle swung her scourge at Nomura and fought her to give Jim time to recover. Nomura backed away to avoid being hit by Raelle's scourge before she swung her swords at Raelle. Raelle used her wings as a shield as she did earlier.
Nomura repeatedly hit Raelle's armor wings with her swords. Raelle grunted as she tried to hold her ground, but the repeated hits from Nomura were causing her to slightly move backward. Suddenly, the hits stopped. Raelle cautiously moved her wings and saw that Nomunra was nowhere to be found.
Jim and Raelle stood back to back with their weapons ready, looking around for the Changeling. The two teens were getting tired, they had run or fly for a few miles and fought off the horde of Goblins before fighting Nomura. The two looked up and spotted Nomura on a tree branch before she dropped down and swung her swords at them.
Raelle pushed Jim out of the way before she was knocked to the ground when Nomura landed on her. Raelle grunted as she struggled to keep a grip on Nomura's hands to prevent the Changeling from attacking her with her swords. Raelle brought her feet up to Nomura's chest before pushing her off to the side.
Raelle and Nomura got on their feet before charging at each other. Raelle used her gauntlets to block or dodge Nomura's swords as she swung them at the Witcher. Nomura noticed the young Witcher was beginning to slow down from exhaustion and used it to her advantage as she increased the speed of her attacks. Raelle had difficulty keeping up with blocking the attacks, but she wouldn't give up. Nomura hit Raelle with the hilt of one of her swords before sending the Witcher flying with a powerful kick. Raelle was flying toward a tree, but it was destroyed by her Gargoyle form when it collided. But the second tree only gained cracks when Raelle's back hit it. An unconscious and human Raelle slid to the ground before she slumped over.
"Rae!" Jim yelled before running over to help his sister but stopped when Nomura jumped in between them.
"Not so fast, kid," Nomura chuckled.
Nomura spun rapidly, her two swords hitting Jim's, who held it to block, the two creating sparks. Her sword nearly hit Jim's amulet, but she hadn't stopped swinging, and Jim could no longer keep up. Jim continued to block her strikes, but this time, she tried hitting different areas, his chest and amulet now venerable. He took one swing and slouched, he was so tired. She took the chance and swiped at the amulet, the metal piece smoking at the hit and pushing Jim back, gasping in pain. Nomura laughed at his weakness. Once Jim lifted his head, Nomura was flying through the air, her foot easily connecting to his chest and sending him into the tree, his armor fading.
Jim opened his eyes and saw the two amulets lying next to each other, but luckily he knew which one was real. Jim tried to reach the amulet as he crawled to it, but he was pushed into the ground by Nomura's foot.
"The other amulet-" Jim groaned in pain.
"A fake! Just like you. A human Trollhunter?" Nomura chuckled, "That must've broken Draal's heart."
"You had the real one," Jim realized.
"We tried to open the bridge, but, apparently, it needs you to do it," Nomura told him. Her sword was dangerously close, causing him to press himself further into the dirt and wince.
"So, why are you trying to kill me and my sister?" Jim questioned the Changeling.
"Not kill. Take," She replied, "Your sister is just a bonus, but I'm sure Bular or Gunmar would love to have the honor of slaying a Witcher."
Nomura's sword circled in her fingers, the hilt of the sword smashing into Jim's head, causing him to become unconscious. Nomura wickedly smiled as she grabbed the arm of Jim and Raelle before dragging their limp bodies. But Nomura stopped when she heard Claire's voice in the distance.
"This way!" Claire said with her father, Javier, following her.
Nomura spotted Claire and her father running right in their direction, then heard another voice. Toby and Aaarrrgghh coming from the other side.
"Jim! Rae!" Toby called out to his friends.
Nomura hissed in anger, her mission failing, deciding to take off as she was about to be cornered. Leaving the Trollhunter's and Witcher's bodies behind.
"Hurry! They're over here," Claire told her father.
Claire dropped to her knees, pressing her hands onto Jim's back as her father rolled Jim and Raelle over.
"Jim...," Claire said.
Toby and Aaarrrgghh were not far away but were hidden from Claire and her father by the trees. Seeing his friends in such a state, Toby didn't stop until he heard Aaarrrgghh growl and realized that the large Troll was about to reveal himself.
"You- You gotta stay here, wingman," Toby told Aaarrrgghh sadly before he rushed over to his friends. Aaarrrgghh stayed behind and lets out a whimper
Claire cupped Jim's cheeks into her hands, looking for any signs of consciousness as Toby dropped to his knees, hovering above Jim and Raelle. Toby

Claire cupped Jim's cheeks with her hands before placing a hand just above Jim's heart as Toby dropped to his knees, hovering above Jim and Raelle. The two were looking for any signs of consciousness.
"Rae, are you ok? Come on, you and Jimbo need to wake up," Toby tried waking Raelle up by lightly shaking her.
"Jim, do you hear me?" Claire asked, but she got no response. Claire looked at her dad, "Dad. Dad, call an ambulance!
Jim and Raelle were slowly regaining consciousness and opened their eyes halfway to see the three blurry figures of Claire, Toby, and Mr. Nunez, who held the phone to his ear.
"Jim! Rae!" Toby called out. His voice sounded distant to his friends.
Jim and Raelle's eyes slide shut, and their heads drop to the side as they lost consciousness again. When Jim and Raelle opened their eyes, they recognized their mother's worried expression. The two noticed Toby and Claire helped push their beds down the hall, all three looking scared.
"Hold on, sweeties. You're gonna be okay. You're gonna be fine, I promise. Please, kids, hold on," Barbara told her children as she stood between the two.
The last thing they heard was their mother's voice, filled with worry before they closed their eyes and lost consciousness again. But Raelle heard something as she was unconscious. A voice that she had never heard before in her life, but at the same time was familiar to her.
"The time is almost here, young Witcher. Soon, you and the Trollhunter will end the war that started centuries ago..."
