Chapter 15 -

Harry entered the room with Loki on his shoulders and Lisa followed behind him, the two were still holding hands. When they entered they saw Dumbledore and Minister Fudge, a porky man wearing green robes and a green bowler hat. The two looked towards Harry and Lisa as they walked inside, Minister Fudge also missed the glint in Loki's eyes when he saw the bowler hat.

"Ah Harry my boy!" Minister Fudge smiled and walked forward, he shook Harry's hand like he was his favorite nephew. "It's good to see you." He said, shaking Harry's hand.

"Thanks...I suppose." Harry replied. "This is my girlfriend, Lisa." Harry said as he gestured with his head to Lisa.

"Minister." Lisa nodded to him.

"Ah girlfriend!" Fudge said, giving Harry a very exaggerated wink before he nodded to Lisa. "I'm sorry, do I know you? You look familiar." He said.

"You might know my parents." Lisa replied.

"Oh?" Fudge asked, giving her a raised eyebrow.

"My full name is Lisa Swan." She commented, Fudge's eyes widened at that, he clearly did know who her parents were.

"S...Swan you say?" He asked, Lisa nodded. "My, my, I must say that you two make a great power couple, I mean the boy-who-lived and the heiress of the Swan family. I dare say you two will be making big waves." Fudge commented. "Oh is that a monkey?" He laughed when he saw Loki. "How cute," He spoke in a baby voice as he leaned closer to Loki and chuckled. "such a cutie pie." Fudge began making baby noises only to be interrupted when Loki slapped him. "Ow!" He flinched and stepped back.

"Oh he likes you." Harry said brightly, he was one hundred percent lying but no need to let Fudge know that.

"That means he likes people?" Fudge looked at him with disbelief.

"I think I would know how to understand my own monkey." Harry said in a cold voice.

"Ah right, well I..."

As they continued talking the three of them were not looking at Dumbledore who had a very thoughtful look, on the one hand he was glad that Harry had a girlfriend, it would be nice for him to have some joy before he had to sacrifice himself for the greater good. Plus Miss Swan's family and money could be very beneficial. On the other hand this was very bad as it could ruin quite a few things for him, firstly the girl was not on his approved list of girls for Harry, why couldn't he have got together with Miss Granger or Miss Weasley? Also Miss Swan's family was a potential danger if they ended up liking him. The worst part was that if Harry got too attached then he might not be willing to sacrifice himself as he needed to for the greater good, though Dumbledore supposed that if worst comes to worse then he can just break the two up.

"Mr Potter," Dumbledore said, cutting off Fudge midway through his talking (brown nosing), "I do apologies for interrupting, but me and Minister Fudge have something very important to discuss with you."

"What?" Fudge blinked before he realized what Dumbledore meant. "Ah yes," He quickly nodded in agreement. "we do."

"Before we start," Dumbledore said before Fudge could continue. "could Miss Swan please leave? No offense my dear but this is a rather private matter."

"Sir," Harry said before Lisa could reply. "anything you tell me I will probably tell Lisa anyway, so might as well just cut out the middle man if you catch my drift."

"Hmm," Dumbledore wasn't particularly happy about that but he supposed it was expected. "very well." Dumbledore nodded.

"In that case let's get on with this," Fudge said as he brought himself back into the conversation. "now Mr Potter, have you seen the news lately?" He asked.

"Yeah." Harry nodded, wondering what the hell was going on.

"Then you know that we have a killer out and about." Dumbledore replied.

"Sirius Black you mean?" Harry asked. "The papers say he's a death eater and Voldemort's right hand man." Harry commented, ignoring how Fudge flinched at the name. "They don't say much apart from that, not counting the fact that he's the only wizard ever to have escaped Azkaban. Is that right?"

"Indeed it is." Dumbledore nodded.

"Apologies," Lisa said. "but what does that have to do with Harry?" She asked. Fudge and Dumbledore exchanged looks before they both turned to Harry.

"We have reason to believe that Mr Sirius Black is after you." Dumbledore said to Harry.

"What reasons?" Harry asked.

"Now, now, I assure you that there is nothing to worry about." Fudge said with a smile. "We're merely being cautious, better safe than sorry as they say. Now Mr Potter, where are you staying for the summer?"

"At my home, Potter Manor." Harry answered. Dumbledore was slightly surprised by that but he had already guessed that Harry would be there. Dumbledore had really wanted to go to Potter Manor, he could only imagine the hoard of knowledge and artifacts that the Potters had stocked up over the years, alas he was never able to convince Harry's grandfather to take him there. Even James, Harry's father, who was much more in his pocket would refuse to take him there.

What Dumbledore really wanted to do was take Harry back to the Dursley's but the problem with that was the fact that he couldn't really find them, it was as if they had disappeared from Britain completely. Dumbledore had recently just expanded his search and begun looking in America, where Harry was left all of these years, it was possible that they were still there.

After finding them he could try and convince Harry to go back to their care, it would be hard but he was sure that he could do it.

"Ah that's good," Fudge smiled. "we were hoping to place some aurors around there."

"May I ask why?" Harry raised an eyebrow. Fudge's smile faltered for a second before he brought it back up in full.

"Why to protect you of course." Fudge responded.

"From Sirius Black? You told me that there was nothing to worry about just a few seconds ago." Harry frowned.

"Yes but we just want to be absolutely sure." Fudge replied.

"I'm sorry but no." Harry replied.

"No?" Fudge repeated, as if he had no idea about what the word means.

"No as in I am not letting you place people around my home." Harry replied. "The Potter family never invite non-Potters to the house, and I don't intend to destroy that particular tradition." Harry added.

"But Mr Potter, surely you can understand the need to do this." Fudge frowned.

"I can but I don't believe that there is a need to do so." Harry replied. "I have plenty of wards and protections around the manor, Black will never be able to get in and even if he does then I have alert wards that will tell me if I need to escape. I can easily escape from there, if you place aurors there then I have to give them access and that means more people are able to get in there, in my opinion that simply increases the risk of getting found by Black." Fudge looked at him as if he didn't like his logic.

"Mr Potter," Fudge said after taking a short breath. "I really think it's best if you listen to me."

"Your opinion has been noted." Harry nodded. 'And disregarded'. He mentally added. "But I have made my decision, and I am going to stick with it."

"Very well," Fudge said after a few moments of silence, he had a tight smile on his face, it was clear that he wasn't really happy with Harry's decision. "however would you at least consider having an auror detail accompany you when you leave the manor?"

"No." Harry said instantly. "I don't need babysitters, if it makes you feel better then I will simply limit the amount of time I spend outside the manor."

"Very well," Fudge sighed. "good day Mr Potter, Miss Swan, Dumbledore." Fudge said, nodding to each before he walked out of the room. He didn't see the look that Loki gave his hat, he would get that hat.

"Harry," Dumbledore said. "are you sure you won't reconsider the auror protection? Sirius Black is a dangerous man."

"I have a feeling that my manor can keep him out, and I can escape him if he tries to catch me anywhere else."

"You sound confident." Dumbledore noted.

"Good, I was kind of going for that."

After a short and rather uneventful summer Harry arrived at platform nine and three quarters, he was wearing black trainers, blue jeans and a simple grey T-shirt and a black jacket plus the ring that Lisa had given him on his first Christmas with her. Loki was on his shoulder and was wearing his favorite Ravenclaw shirt that Lisa had gifted him on their first Christmas, but he was also wearing a pair of small jeans that was his size and had a hole in the back for his tale. Apparently Loki wanted to dress up too, though he refused to wear shoes.

The two had sat down in a compartment and waited for Lisa who entered a few minutes later. She was wearing blue shoes, blue jeans, a white blouse, and a blue jacket, she had her warning ring on along with the necklace that Harry had given her.

"Hey Liz." Harry grinned at her.

"Hey Harry." She grinned back as she took a seat opposite him. "Hey Loki." She added to Loki who also grinned and gave her a small wave. "Any problems coming here?" She asked.

"Nah, everything's fine, how about you?" Harry asked.

"Fine," Lisa shrugged. "have you seen all the aurors around the platform?"

"Yeah, one of them nearly tripped on me." Harry frowned.

"Was that the woman with pink hair?" Lisa asked.

"Yeah, how do you know?" Harry asked.

"Because she nearly tripped on me." Lisa replied. "She was nice though." Lisa added quickly, just in case Harry thought that she was being mean. "She was a metamorphamaugus, that sounds fun, I reckon you could cause a lot of damage if you had that."

"Yeah," Harry agreed. "I kind of wish I could do that, I'd turn my face into a monkey and wait until people look at Loki and then when they look at me...bam! Two monkeys motherfucker!"

"You know what...thank Merlin you don't have those powers, nothing scares me more than the idea of you being able to do whatever you want." Lisa said with a mock shudder.

"Meanie." Harry pouted while Loki laughed. "Traitor." He added to Loki who laughed even harder.

Loki, Lisa and Harry continued talking throughout the train journey, both were thankful that they had so far not been interrupted. Eventually Loki had started getting sleepy so Harry had rested him down on the seat next to him and covered him with a blanket. He and Lisa continued talking, though they both talked quietly so to reduce the chance of waking up Loki.

"Harry." Lisa said in a quiet voice.

"Yeah?"

"Well...it's just that...you know how we're boyfriend and girlfriend?"

"Yeah...it's almost like I had said yes when you asked." Harry said in a jokey voice.

"Shut it." Lisa said with a small smile before sighing. "So I was wondering if we could perhaps do something that boyfriends and girlfriends do."

"Laugh at single people?" Harry raised an eyebrow.

"What? No, I meant...do you think we could try kissing?" She asked, blushing slightly.

"Kiss...oh!" Harry blurted out in realization. "Um...yeah...I guess. Sure, if you want, I mean of course you want, you're the one who is asking but...just...I am willing to try it." Harry said, all in one breath.

"Okay, just...it's alright if you don't want to and..."

"No...I mean yes, I mean I want to." Harry said. Lisa personally found it amusing, she too was nervous about this but it was a weird experience to see fast talking, smart ass Harry be nervous.

Lisa took a deep breath before she leaned forward, Harry shook his head slightly before leaning forward too, their faces got closer and their lips were seconds from touching.

"Wait!" Harry said suddenly, stopping Lisa. "Can you feel that?" Harry asked.

Lia frowned at that, wondering what he was talking about, a second later she realized what he meant when she felt the temperature drop. The compartment window froze and it was so cold that Loki had actually woken up. He screeched and quickly made his way closer to Harry and cuddled into his side.

"Shush, it'll be fine." Harry whispered to Loki.

"There's something moving out there!" Lisa whispered to Harry. The compartment was quiet for several moments until they heard something moving inside the train. "It's in the train!" Lisa hissed in a worried voice.

Soon there was something standing outside their apartment door, Lisa saw a long, rotting, creepy black hand through the door window. The arm that the hand was connected to belonged to something that was covered in a black cloak, Lisa quickly realized what it was, this was clearly a dementor. But she was too scared to say anything, the door began opening.

Lisa looked at Harry, she saw him stand up, His green emerald eyes narrowed, he was breathing heavy, he was clearly being affected by the dementor. Loki let out a scared cry, the cry seemed to have activated something in Harry as it pushed him into action. He flicked both of his wrists and a card slid out of his sleeves into both hands.

Lisa wondered what he was planning to do with those cards but didn't get to ask as Harry decided to show her. Both cards suddenly became covered in a bright red glow, Harry tossed them at the dementor and to Lisa's shock, the cards exploded. It was a small explosion but enough to push the dementor back, two more cards flicked into Harry's hand and he flew another card at the dementor followed by another one. The dementor was pushed out and Harry followed it out, throwing card after card. The other students watched from inside, from their perspectives they actually saw Harry fighting off a dementor with what looked like wandless explosions.

Harry kept it up until a bright, blue-white, wispy wolf charged down the hallway and tackled the dementor, pushing it until it flew away. Once the dementor was gone the wolf disappeared, Harry turned back and saw a man with brown combed hair and a mustache while wearing worn out clothes.

"Are you alright?" The man asked?

"I'm fine...Lisa!" Harry suddenly cried and went back into his compartment. "Are you two alright?" Harry asked quickly.

"We're both fine but...what the hell was that?!" Lisa replied. "What was that card thing?!"

"Just a little trick I've picked up over the year." Harry said with a small smile.
