Hey everyone!

Happy September! You've made it to level 9 of Jumanji! It is also my birthday month... it's after the mid-month updates so hold off on those wishes. I will confess that work has been so full on but hopefully now it's calming down and I should be able to get back to writing. I really miss it. I guess I just got so used to being able to write when I wanted... now it's getting back into a routine with work and wverything. Thanks for the continued support. It means so much to me. Enjoy this next update!

Lots of love,

Breaking Traditions-Part 28:

Cygnus arrived a couple of days later and he had to wait for Lucius and Narcissa to arrive back from Diagon Alley. The two had been off purchasing the odd thing for Lucius' cousin's baby and then their own daughter as and when the time came. They were increasingly hopeful as the days went by that it was one step closer to a match and that was what they longed for. Lucius realising now that he wanted a little daughter as much as Narcissa had and he watched as she looked at something, decided against it and then Lucius slipped it into the basket.

Lucius heard footsteps the moment he and Narcissa stepped out of the Floo and he held the bags out.

"Take these to the master bedroom please," he said before looking up and realising who it was, "I'm sorry Cygnus. We weren't expecting you."

"Father," Narcissa said as she hurried over to kiss his cheek, "to what do we owe the pleasure?"

"I thought I would come and give you an update on the situation…" Cygnus said as she looked at the couple before an elf really did appear and Lucius asked it to take the bags to the master bedroom and then serve tea in the parlor. The elf nodded and soon disappeared with the bags and Narcissa led the way to the parlor.

Lucius walked behind Narcissa, talking in hushed whispers with his father-in-law before everyone had soon taken their seat in the parlor. Narcissa hoped that the elf would serve tea soon as she wanted to know the reason her father had arrived unexpectedly.

Her wish was soon granted as the elf appeared and she quickly and silently served the tea before looking at her father. She wanted to know why he was there and she sighed as silence hung in the air.

"Druella has been punished for what she has done. I made sure that she knew the consequences of her actions and that if this happens again then a far worse fate awaits her," Cygnus said, "and it appears that you have some supporters as she has received a flood of owls with some rather colourful language that she does not like to read but is having to."

"I know she's my mother and what she did was wrong but I do hope she's not hurt or that somebody didn't hurt her because of this," Narcissa said, "she deserves the hate but I really hope that she isn't hurt or anything…"

Cygnus and Lucius suddenly burst into laughter, leaving a very confused witch wondering what she'd said. She whacked Lucius' arm and he looked at her and smirked.

"Cissa you're mad at your mother but hope that she hasn't been hurt in all of this," he tried to explain, "it is pretty funny that you are angry and think she deserves one thing but are worried that she got hurt as well."

"My darling girl," Cygnus said, "let me reassure you the only things that are hurt is your mother's pride and her reputation. Her little plan to make society shun you backfired in such a way that she damaged herself and made some people understand you at the same time. There are hundreds out there like you but maybe they will see how your adoption plans go and then if it works who knows what could happen. Anything is possible for those children who need a home. As for your mother Narcissa… I think it's safe to say that she's very much learnt a lesson and one that I hope she remembers for a very long time to come."

Narcissa nodded as she sipped her cup of tea and smirked softly.

"I would have loved to have been there when she got those owls. I don't think mother has ever heard words like those in her life," Narcissa said as she put her cup down. She didn't honestly wonder if her mother had ever heard those words in her life.

"She's heard some of the words used because of Bellatrix. Your sister was not always the politest child in the world… at least once she was about 16," Cygnus said as she looked at his youngest daughter, "so yes she has heard some of the words before but I don't think she'd have expected to hear them from people like her."

"Lessons to be learnt for sure then really," Lucius said as he looked at his father-in-law, "it's not a surprise. Most aren't happy with what we are doing but they are angry about that choice being taken away from us," he said and Cygnus nodded as he finished his cup of tea and Narcissa moved to refill it instantly.

"We decided to go and see Draco at school," Narcissa said as she poured the tea, "we decided that it would be for the best, especially as we haven't really spoken to him of late and with the stunt my mother pulled it really didn't feel right not going to see him," she said before refilling her cup and then Lucius' before sitting back down again.

"How is he doing?" Cygnus asked, "he's not been getting any grief about it all has he?"

"No he hasn't. He said that most of the kids are supportive over what has happened and what we want to do so that helps," Lucius said as he sipped his drink, "but he's not having any problems at all which is what we were worried about really."

"Well I'm glad that Druella's little stunt has not caused Draco any issues because if it had then I would have been even harder than what I have been," Cygnus said, "it's one thing to disrupt your lives but it's another thing to unsettle Draco's life when he truly is innocent in all of this," he said as he sipped his drink and watched his daughter. She finally appeared to be over the wobble that his wife had caused and he was glad of that.

"I just hope that she will show her face here and apologise for her actions," Narcissa said, "she almost jeopardized everything and I will never be able to forgive her but she really should come and apologise to us."

"I will see what I can do Narcissa," Cygnus said, "but it's your mother so I have no idea what she will do but I just hope she will come and see you at least." Narcissa nodded and just hoped her mother would come and see her otherwise she would be very mad indeed and no matter what happened she would never forgive her mother no matter what she said or did.
