Hey everyone!
Happy mid-month? I think I can get away with that. I'm getting into a routine now and am hoping to get some writing done a little more than I have been which is great. I'm starting to feel more settled and productive as well. Hope you enjoy the update and good luck to those readers heading back to school over the next couple of weeks.
Stay safe.
Lots of love,

Breaking Traditions-Part 50:
Lucius was quiet over breakfast as he watched Narcissa and Priscilla talking about which shops they may well visit. He'd somehow managed to convince them not to go to Paris as he was certain that would be where Druella would be. The nearest town to them was a safer bet as Druella didn't know the location of the Malfoy Vineyards as only the Malfoys knew the exact location and Narcissa wouldn't have ever been silly enough to reveal the location to her mother.
"Darling are you ok?" Narcissa asked as she cupped her husband's hand in her own and ran her thumb along the back of his hand. Lucius looked up from his coffee and nodded.
"I'm fine," he said softly, "just have a few things on my mind that I need to attend to today whilst my girls enjoy their day out," he said, hoping that neither would guess that he was lying. He didn't want to stop Narcissa going out for the day and enjoying herself in France but there was something in the back of his mind that made him uneasy.
"We will be careful, Luc," Narcissa said softly, "I know how you feel about us going on this trip anyway," she said as she squeezed his hand and he smiled gently at her, "your mother will keep us both safe," she said softly and carried on eating quietly as Priscilla was watching her son closely.
Rosalie was soon awake and dressed in a pretty pink dress and tights with some soft shoes and in her pram that had been adjusted to cope in the streets of France before Lucius told them to have fun, kissed all their heads and retreated to his office.
Narcissa took Rosalie in her arms and the three apparated to the agreed town. Narcissa placed Rosalie back into her pram and the two adults stood there before deciding that, although they'd just had breakfast, morning tea and cake would be on the agenda before long.
The two decided to head to a store where they could look at some clothes as Narcissa had decided to get some new things for Rosalie.
"Well she does deserve to be spoilt," Priscilla had said with a chuckle as they headed to the baby section and then to the girls.
Narcissa gasped as she looked and saw all the pretty dresses and outfits that were on display and the mother instantly began to look at clothes for her daughter. Some were for the upcoming reveal and festive period as Christmas was only around a month and a half away now and Narcissa wanted to be prepared. Lucius was writing to Dumbledore to get Draco home for the weekend so the interview could happen.
"I know you said about her getting spoilt Cissa but she's going to have more clothes than you at this rate," Priscilla chuckled as she looked at the pile of clothes that were accumulating. She chuckled and smiled knowing that Narcissa had longed for this moment for so long and now she had it she was going to make the most of it.
"Do you think I have enough?" Narcissa asked after a while, "I have clothes for up to two-years-old," she said, "now onto shoes and socks," she said before beginning to look at the shoes and socks. Luckily there were nowhere near as many shoes joining the pile but there were a few pairs of socks and tights joining the pile.
"Lucius is going to wonder what in Merlin's name has happened," Priscilla said as they'd finally exited the shop with everything having been sent to the Vineyards so they didn't have to carry it with them around the streets.
The two them headed to one of Priscilla's favourite cafes and sat down ordering sandwiches, salads, tea and cake as it was time for lunch. Narcissa got Rosalie out of her pram and sat her on her lap and fed her a bottle as she ate a sandwich.
"Well the clothes were unexpected and yet I'm happy to have her sorted for a little bit," Narcissa said, "but now we need to figure out what we are doing this afternoon. Maybe go to a bookshop. Aren't we near one of your favourites?"
Priscilla rolled her eyes and chuckled softly,
"Yes we are and we can certainly go and take a look in the bookshop," she said.
"OK great. Some of the books in the Malfoy Manor library need replacing and I'm too scared to use them and I know they're classic French books so we might be able to get them replaced whilst we're here," she explained as she looked at her mother-in-law and had some of her tea and then some of her salad as well.
"That's understandable. Some of the books needed replacing when I was Lady of the Manor as well," Priscilla said, "it happens and is a tradition, one of the unwritten ones mind you but it is one nonetheless," she said before sipping on her cup of tea and watching as Rosalie looked around as she could hear and see things around her.
"She's a curious child, that's for sure," Priscilla said as she stroked her granddaughter's soft but chubby cheek, "it's when she starts crawling we'll have to watch out because if she's anything like Draco we'll have our work cut out."
Narcissa laughed softly as she remembered back to those days,
"Oh yes. I remember those days well," she said, "they were marred with darkness though as Lucius was off at war but that's all over now thankfully and I cannot wait for Lucius to see so much more than he did with Draco," she said as she looked at Rosalie and fed her some more of her bottle, "I'm excited to have it all again and I think that Astoria should be involved. She loved helping me with Rosa."
"She's going to be good for Draco," Priscilla said as she looked at Narcissa, "and I think getting her matched to Draco already gives them the best possible chance of having a natural romance between them."
"I'd never force Draco into anything that he isn't happy with and he didn't seem thrilled about an arranged marriage but he was happy to hear it was Astoria we'd chosen," Narcissa said as she looked at her mother-in-law.
"Astoria was who I would have chosen as well," Priscilla said, "so you have my vote there," she said softly.
"Well well well. What do we have here?" came a voice that made them jump and Narcissa and Priscilla soon found themselves face-to-face with Druella Black.
