Hey everyone!

I am so sorry for the unannounced and extended hiatus. I guess I really needed a break. Things have been rather up and down and I must have needed the break more than I thought I did. The plan had been to come back last month but, yet again, I just couldn't write. I have three fics ready to update so thought I'd get them up today... oddly it's the first anniversary of my Grandad's death today as well so it feels fitting to update today. For those wondering I've also been suffering a writers' block on Hidden Child which has affected me with writing my other fics. I will be continuing with Lyra's adventures once I get things figured out.

For those of you who have been waiting forever for these updates I am sorry about the delay and thank you for waiting for me.

Lots of love,

Breaking Traditions-Part 51:

Priscilla was the first to react and she cast a shield charm around Narcissa and Rosalie. It was a non-verbal so Druella should have had no idea that it had been cast, however Narcissa would have had an idea it had been cast.

"What are you doing here Druella? You are supposed to be in Paris with family," Priscilla said as she stood up and stared at the witch, "I did take you down once before and I won't hesitate to do it again. I do mean that and you should know better than anyone not to mess with a Malfoy, especially when you're threatening to hurt someone they love," she said before watching where Druella was now looking.

Silence fell as Priscilla finished speaking and Druella was now staring at her daughter before she looked and realised there was a pram there and she gasped.

"Is that the baby?" she asked and Narcissa looked at her mother and nodded.

"Yes and she has a name. Rosalie. She is so loved even if you don't want to have anything to do with her and she will know that when the time come… unless you have changed your ways and want something to do with your granddaughter by that stage. It's up to you mother," Narcissa said as she eyed her mother feeling perfectly safe behind the shield that Priscilla had cast over her and Rosalie.

Druella smirked as she looked at Narcissa before she began to move nearer to the pram before scowling as Narcissa silently cast a spell to block Druella from seeing Rosalie's face.

"I am so disappointed that you chose to call an adopted child that. Rosalie is your middle name and that is the way it always should have been," Druella said, "I cannot believe you didn't take my advice and call her something different. Also I would like to at least see her face. I am still your mother and the baby's grandmother."

"When you don't shut Cissa down about her choices," Priscilla scoffed as she looked at her in-law, "It is not for you to decide these things and, as a mother you should know that Druella."

"Rosalie was always going to be named Rosalie no matter what you said. It was one of the first things Lucius and I agreed on when we started the adoption process," Narcissa said as she looked at her mother, "and no… after everything you have put us through you do not deserve to see your granddaughter and you will get to see her when the interview is released…"

"Interview… what interview?" Druella asked as she looked from Narcissa to Priscilla.

"The interview that Lucius and Narcissa will be giving with Draco and Rosalie about adopted children in which Rosalie will be revealed to the world," Priscilla said, "they want to break the stigma of Purebloods adopting children. They do have some support from others, the Greengrasses especially, so your little shaming plan did backfire in certain ways," she said as she looked at the other witch.

"Yes the whole arrangement of Draco and Astoria has reached my ears," Druella said as she looked at Narcissa, "interesting match there. Half-French and half Scottish… very interesting indeed."

"Astoria already loves Rosalie and James and Caitriona are by our side and have been every step of the way," Narcissa said as she stared down her mother, "who Draco is matched with is none of your business."

"I still care about my grandson even if I am not allowed to see him," Druella said, "you have no right keeping him from me," she said and Priscilla scoffed causing Druella to turn towards her.

"Well Draco is hurt by your actions as well. Rosalie is his baby sister as well and that means accepting her into your life as well. He loves his baby sister and maybe you should think about that before you start demanding to see him Druella," Priscilla said as she looked at the mother, "you have to learn to accept Rosalie into your life and the family or else Draco won't want to see you again," she said before Druella walked over to her and she looked at her.

"Don't you dare make me think my grandson hates me because I won't accept some baby into the family. She's not worthy to carry the name Rosalie or Malfoy and you know it deep down," Druella said and looked right into Priscilla's eyes hoping to trigger something inside her, guilt maybe.

"Don't try and trick me into saying something that I don't want to say Druella. I was shocked at the plans at first but now I am sure that this is then right option and breaking the stigma of people like you is the best thing for everyone. Rosalie is proof it works and you always said you wanted a granddaughter and, yet, here you are throwing the chance to know her away because of how she was brought into the family. That's not on at all Druella and you know it," Priscilla said as she looked at Druella, "you really want to take me on here and now? Then bring it on. Remember I took you down once before and I can take you down again," she said with a smirk and watched Druella as she'd always done since the witch had made an appearance.

The two stared each other out for a few minutes before Druella stepped away.

"I do not wish to be humiliated once more or even concede and lie about how I feel," she said before walking away and Narcissa breathed a sigh of relief.

"That was unexpected," Priscilla said as she sat back down and downed the shield surrounding Narcissa and Rosalie, "she doesn't know where the Vineyards are does she?" Narcissa shook her head.

"No she doesn't. She can't know either. That's a safe place for everyone and Rosa especially. I just cannot believe that she found us," Narcissa sighed as she held Rosalie in her arms, "I still want to go to the bookshop though," she said, "I do not want this to ruin the day but first I think another drink is in order," she said and Priscilla nodded and ordered more drinks.

The two sat there calming down and enjoying a drink and some sandwiches before they began to walk to the bookshop, happy that Druella had vanished as quickly as she'd arrived.
