Hello everyone!

I am FINALLY here with new updates. I'm slowly getting back into writing. Starting small is really helping rather than trying to do the whole of a chapter at once. Things have been a little up and down but I am back and updates will be at least once a month until I am fully back writing. I want to aim for twice a month soon but, for now, once a month is the best I can do.

Thank you for baring with me since like September 2021. It's bee rocky but things are slowly heading in the right direction again. The support means the world to me.

Lots of love,

Breaking Traditions-Part 52:

After the two had finished their second drinks and Narcissa had eaten her second piece of cake… which she would no doubt regret later… the two headed to the most famous Wizarding Bookshop in France. Narcissa had been surprised to learn that it wasn't located in France but down near the Vineyard on the south coast of France.

"Are you looking for anything specific?" Priscilla asked as she shrank the pram down as Narcissa balanced Rosalie on her hip so it would be easier to move around in the Bookshop.

"I just want to look around. There are some books I have an eye on but if I don't see or get them today then that's fine as well," Narcissa said as she began to walk around the Bookshop, "I mean there are some childrens' books that I would love to get if they are here," she said as she decided to head to the childrens' section first so she could have a look and see if the particular books were there.

She knew what she wanted to look for and began to carefully look through the shelves and smiled as she began to find some of the books she wanted to purchase.

"She's a very spoilt little girl already," Priscilla said with a chuckle as she watched the small pile of book slowly forming.

"I know but she needs different books to what Draco had and they need to be unicorn and fairy themed for now. I know the Greengrasses have some Muggle books that I would like to borrow as well. I'll have to cross Lucius on that one but it shouldn't be too much of an obstacle considering he's allowing a witch from a Muggle loving family to marry Draco so I think he could be won around," she said with a smirk before giving the basket to her mother-in-law to carry. She headed to the romance books and that caused a chuckle from Pricilla as she watched her daughter-in-law carefully studying the books to see which she liked the sound of.

"Rosalie not my hair," Narcissa said with a chuckle before Priscilla gave her granddaughter a toy to hold as Narcissa finished looking through the books, eventually finding some that she wanted to read.

A while later, books having been sent to the Vineyard, Narcissa and Priscilla headed to a childrens' clothes store as Narcissa wanted to get a couple of things that she'd forgotten to pack for Rosalie.

"I mean they are very basic things that I did forget," Narcissa said as they walked around the store, "I'll blame it on the quickness in which we left the Manor," she said, "but I do want to get Rosalie a nice, pretty dress for the interview with the Daily Prophet," she said as she looked at the dresses, "pink, of course," she said, pre-empting Priscilla's question on colour. Narcissa loved pink and hoped that Rosalie would love it as she grew up too, but if she didn't then that was OK as well.

"You know she might not always love pink," Priscilla said as she watched what colours Narcissa was putting into the basket.

"I know," Narcissa smirked, "and that is why I want to make the best of it," she added as she put more things into the basket, "have to make the most of these moments before they are gone forever," she finished.

"OK that is very true. I will give you that one," Priscilla said with a chuckle as she followed her daughter-in-law around the store, keeping an eye on how much she was putting in the basket. The last thing she wanted was her son to be buried in pink clothes.

Eventually, after another drink, the group headed back to the Vineyard and Narcissa excused herself to go and change and feed Rosalie. She kissed Lucius softly before heading upstairs.

"What happened?" Lucius asked as he looked at his mother, "and don't lie. Cissa will tell me anyway so you might as well tell me now," he said to his mother having seen the look in her eyes.

"Druella somehow found us…" Priscilla said as she braced herself for her son's inevitable outburst. She cast a silencing charm on the stairs and not a moment too soon.

"She WHAT?!" he said as he looked at his mother, "and you let them stay out instead of bringing them straight back here to safety? I trusted you."

"Lucius… as soon as I realised who it was I cast a shield charm on them both," Priscilla said as she looked at her son, "they are both unharmed and Druella never laid a finger on either of them," she said.

"The fact is that she found them and saw our daughter's face when she shouldn't have," Lucius said and Priscilla shook her head,

"Cissa cast a spell so Druella wouldn't see her face. She stuck to the agreement and so did I. You saw her and Rosa and they're fine," Priscilla said as she rested her hands on her son's shoulder, "they are fine and safe," she said before going to get the two of them a drink to, hopefully, calm her son down.

A while later and Narcissa came back down with Rosalie on her hip and she looked at her husband.

"Nothing happened Lucius. We are both fine," she said, "you can see we are both fine. Although I wouldn't have said no to my mother being taken down again in public by your mother," she said with a smirk.

"I would have done it again if I'd have to," Priscilla said as she looked at Narcissa, "your mother certainly hasn't changed her spots at all," she said as she watched her daughter-in-law and granddaughter, "Druella can go to hell as far I'm concerned," she said as she moved to look out of the window, "how about we get ready and head down to the beach and have a late dinner there? It's a nice evening and still a pleasant temperature," she said, clearly sensing some tension still in the air.

Narcissa instantly nodded as she looked at Lucius and he nodded at her and the group got ready to go down to the beach for a pleasant evening and to forget about the day's events.
