Happy May!

Hello again everyone! I've been away on holiday and have managed to get some chapters written for some of my fics... well, the main three HP ones I am writing. I have also started on my LOTR and Fantastic Beasts fics and honestly, it's helping me to be able to write Breaking Traditions, Love Strikes Twice and Finally Belonging Somewhere which I'm so happy about. Work is settling down and looking good, so things are starting to look up for me after a year of struggles and things. Thank you everyone for sticking with me and I'm hoping that I'll be able to get back to twice a month updates in either June or July.

Lots of love,

LSH xx

Breaking Traditions-Part 53:

The group headed down to the beach and Lucius laid out the blanket, slightly enlarging it so there was plenty of space for everyone to sit down and the food be spread out. Priscilla sat down and began to get things out of the picnic basket.

"When did you find time to do this mother?" Lucius asked as he looked at his mother.

"Lucius… I am your mother. You should know me after all these years," Priscilla said with a chuckle as she watched Narcissa sat with Rosalie in her lap and she smiled softly, "I always have a plan or something done before you even know it," she said.

Rosalie was sat leaning back on Narcissa's stomach with her mother's arms around her and she laughed softly as Rosalie was trying to reach everything.

"No Rosalie, darling. None of this is for you. I'm sure Grandmother has something for you though," Narcissa said as she looked at her mother-in-law, "it truly wouldn't surprise me at all," she said before scooping her daughter into her arms and Rosalie instantly began to grizzle and get upset she couldn't grab anything so she wrapped her small hands around Narcissa's hair, "Rosa no!" she laughed, "just because you can't have the food does not mean that you can grab and tug at my hair," she said.

Priscilla looked at her granddaughter before taking the baby into her arms.

"Eat Cissa and then I'll have my share once you've had something to eat," she said and Narcissa nodded gratefully before beginning to eat herself. She had always been amazed at her mother-in-law's ability to remain one step ahead and that had been proved already by the fact she'd prepared a picnic in such a way that it meant she had to have already thought about it.

The gentle sounds of waves crashing against the shore and the sounds of eating were the only sounds that could be heard before Priscilla sighed softly.

"When are you two thinking about heading back to Malfoy Manor?" she asked clearly catching Lucius and Narcissa out as they looked at her with wide eyes.

"I think we'll have to start thinking about it either tomorrow or the next day," Narcissa said, "the interview is coming up and I need to make sure that everything is ready for it," she said as she looked at Lucius, "we would love to stay here if we could but it's just not possible really," she said.

"I have a meeting in a couple of days so we can go back on that day and then I'll head straight to the Ministry of Magic and have the meeting," Lucius said as he looked at Narcissa, "I'm sure Cygnus and father will enjoy looking after their granddaughter for a while as we do what we need to," he said softly, "yes and you as well mother," he said as he looked at his mother and smiled softly.

Narcissa looked at her mother-in-law before taking Rosalie back so Priscilla could eat. She smiled and gave Rosalie a toy to keep in her hands so she wouldn't try and grab anything.

"I will need to get an owl to Dumbledore and see about getting Draco home for the weekend of the interview," Narcissa said, "I think it'll be better if he's at home first, rather than having to wait for him to arrive," she said and Priscilla nodded.

"Yes that would be preferable," Priscilla said, "that way they aren't waiting and it looks more professional," she said.

So a couple of days later and Lucius, Narcissa, Rosalie and Priscilla arrived back at Malfoy Manor and Narcissa instantly headed in one direction and Lucius spoke to his father and Cygnus briefly before he headed to the Ministry.

Priscilla and the men headed to the parlour and Priscilla asked for tea to be brought before the group sat down, Abraxas holding Rosalie for now.

"We ran into Druella… or should I say that she found us," Priscilla said as she began to fill the wizards in on what had happened whilst she and Narcissa had been in the town.

"How…?" Cygnus asked, confused, "she doesn't know where the vineyards are does she?"

"No she doesn't," Abraxas said, "only those who are born a Malfoy or married into the family, like Narcissa, can find the location of the vineyards or even the nearest town."

"So it really was a coincidence then," Cygnus said as he looked at his fellow wizard who responded with a nod.

"Yes it was," Abraxas said, "nobody is foolish enough to disclose the location of the vineyards. It's the reason why Lucius and Narcissa never married there," he said before Priscilla nodded.

"Lucius lost his mind when I told him what had happened," she said, "he wasn't happy at all and was furious that Druella may have seen Rosalie before the interview," she said, "Narcissa was quick with a spell to hide Rosa's face and I was quick with a shield over them both," she said.

"I would not liked to have been there. What did Lucius say?" Cygnus asked.

"Why I didn't bring them back straightaway. I said that they were safe with me and that is the bottom line. We'd both been wanting to get out so we got out and away for a bit," she said, "we were determined to enjoy the day and Druella vanished into thin air after that and we never saw her again," she said before sipping her tea.

The three watched Rosalie sat up playing with her toys, leaning against a cushion.

"Hard to believe we're grandparents again," Abraxas said, "and it our age too," he said before causing a chuckle to escape from their lips.

"Wouldn't change it for the world though," Priscilla said, "Narcissa went a little crazy on clothes and books as you saw from the bags that made their way back here," she said, "where are the bags anyway?"

"Rosalie's nursery. We thought it was best left to Narcissa to see to. Merlin forbid everything wasn't placed into the correct places," Cygnus said as he looked at Priscilla, "we put them there and then Narcissa can sort them all out. I had a look at the clothes and they all appear to be for Rosa."

"Yes she did go a little crazy on clothes for Rosalie," Priscilla said with a chuckle, "still it won't be that much longer before Rosalie is finally presented to the world and I can't wait for that moment to come. Lucius and Narcissa are ready and so am I for her to be presented to the world."
