Hey everyone.

OK OK so I've been gone for what feels like forever and I can only apologise. Real life bites at times and I've had that time when it has. I've been trying to write and drawing a blank but writing my 2 new fics is starting to help me get back into the grove. I'm also off work for a week now so I'm going to try and get some planning up and running so I can get back to my regular update plans. Thank you all for baring with me whilst everything has been going on around me. One of the new fics is going up now and the other will be just before my birthday next week.

Lots of love,

LSH xx

Breaking Traditions-Part 54:

It didn't take long after they were back before Narcissa was throwing herself into preparations for the Daily Prophet interview. The Manor had to be spotless and perfect in her eyes as she didn't know which room the interview would be held in. That would be up to her and Lucius, of course, but that hadn't been decided yet so every room was being taken care of. Narcissa had an idea which room she wished it to be but had yet to pose the question to Lucius.

It was also the first time that an interview would be held at the Manor as the Malfoys rarely gave interviews. So the fact they were even doing this showed the significance of the occasion. Lucius left his wife to it, knowing that the grandparents were there to help Narcissa when he was at the Ministry of Magic discussing matters of importance for the Wizarding World.

Lucius sat down and wrote a letter to Hogwarts requesting permission for Draco to be allowed home after classes on Friday so he could be at home all weekend in order for the interview to go smoothly and promptly. As far as he was concerned there was no need to keep the Daily Prophet in their home for longer than they needed to be. Afterall there were still some things that were better left hidden from view.

A letter soon came back from Hogwarts with Dumbledore's permission for Draco and, much to the surprise of Lucius and Narcissa, Severus to return after class on Friday afternoon. Severus so he could spend time with his goddaughter and witness the interview and Draco was a case of no explanation needed.

Narcissa was in a state of stress one day and it just happened to be Priscilla who found her pacing the parlour and walked in calling out her daughter-in-law's name.

"Sorry Priscilla. I didn't see you there at all. I was busy checking to see which rooms had been cleaned already," she said as she sighed and put the papers down that had been in her hand.

"Cissa stop. You only need to be thinking about the room the interview will be held in," Priscilla said as she looked at her, "now the weather is supposed to be lovely and sunny so might I suggest the tearoom?" she said, merely as a suggestion, with a hint of a persuasion as well.

"Well yes. The tearoom could work and if the weather is great then we might even be able to hold the interview in the garden as well. There would be no need to have them in the Manor for too long then as well," Narcissa said as she looked at her mother-in-law and thought, "then Rosalie could play with her outside toys with you or someone who's nearby," she said, "that would also mean that the only rooms that would need cleaning are the ones that the interviewer would be walking past," she said as she looked at her mother-in-law again and sighed, running a hand through her hair.

"You really need to start calming down before Rosalie picks up on it and becomes unsettled. That is the last thing you need," Priscilla said softly as she looked at her and sighed, "I know it's not easy for you to stay calm though so maybe let me take over things for a bit. Go and spend time with your daughter. She always calms you," she added before she took the papers from Narcissa, "no arguing before you start," she said and Narcissa sighed, deciding to give up and she headed to see where Rosalie was sat with Cygnus.

"I've been given my marching orders to calm down," Narcissa said and Cygnus laughed softly as he looked at his daughter.

"Priscilla has a point Narcissa," he said, "you have been getting rather stressed out about this interview," he said and raised an eyebrow as his daughter rolled her eyes, "I saw that and, had you been Draco's age, I'd have scolded you for it," he said before passing Narcissa the rattle he'd been shaking for his granddaughter.

Narcissa thanked him and took the rattle before sitting down next to Rosalie.

"You're going to be crawling before long aren't you darling?" she said as she shook the rattle for her daughter and she smiled as her daughter reached out for the rattle. Narcissa shook it again and then heard a sound that could never fail to make her relax. Her daughter's laughter. Rosalie loved the sounds her rattles made and they always made her laugh. Narcissa couldn't help but smile. No matter how stressed she got, Rosalie could always make her relax and smile no matter what. The baby's joy was infectious at times and Lucius even relaxed after a day at the Ministry as soon as he spent time with Rosalie.

Eventually the Friday afternoon arrived and the Floo Network charm sounded and Narcissa hurried to the fireplace connected to the Network and smiled as she saw Draco stepping out of the fireplace. She'd barely finished cleaning him up when Severus stepped out as well. She kissed his cheeks softly before she nodded and led them through to the parlour, where everyone was gathered before dinner would be served.

Draco was instantly down on the floor playing with his sister, able to relax being back behind the walls of Malfoy Manor. He smiled and cuddled his sister close and produced a toy that he'd been given by Daphne Greengrass.

"Astoria has one to get her as well next time they come to see her," he told his mother, "unless you go to the Highlands first."

Narcissa chuckled before admitting that Astoria adored the little girl before dinner was served. They spoke about that should and should not be said around the interviewer. Lucius and Narcissa weren't going to risk anything getting back to Druella that didn't need to go back to her before Lucius and Narcissa were ready to confront Druella about things.

The evening and next morning passed too quickly for Narcissa's liking and there was soon a knock on the door and she sent an elf to bring the reporter to the tearoom for the interview to begin.
