Hey everyone!
Can we just say that the final quarter of 2022 sucked for me? My nan has had to have a transfusion and operation in a week so it's been super crazy the past 3 weeks. The great news is, although I never reached the 50k, I did manage to get some parts written. I have a lot of time off before I head to my dad's and actually feel like writing again! I promise to do better next year and get back to normal as I do love writing all these stories for you. Thank you for baring with me with everything going on.
Have a magical holiday time and I will see you in 2023.
Lots of love always,

Breaking Traditions-Part 56:
Narcissa had gone to bed feeling anxious about the interview and had fallen asleep in Rosalie's nursery and that is where Lucius had found her the next morning. Seeing that she and their daughter were still asleep, Lucius left them asleep and headed downstairs to find his mother already awake.
"You always have been an early riser," he said as he sat down opposite his mother and he happily took the cup of coffee that he was being offered by his mother.
Inhaling the steam he sighed happily before he looked at his morphed.
"It's going to be a shock to the system when you, Father and Cygnus decide to go home again," he said, "not least because the Elves will have to do all the work again," he said with a sigh, "still it means that Narcissa and I will be able to do more things for ourselves."
Priscilla looked at her son with a smirk.
"Who said me and your father were going anywhere?" she questioned as she looked at her son, "have you not realised that your father and I aren't going anywhere Lucius? I thought you were smarter than you're showing me right now."
"What..?" Lucius asked as he looked at his mother, "you and Father are staying here for good?" he asked, causing his mother to lapse into laughter.
"If we were planning on leaving then we would have left and gone home already," Priscilla said, "we aren't getting any younger and we want to treasure every minute we can have with our long awaited granddaughter," she said before lapsing into silence and drinking her coffee.
Eventually Narcissa woke up and came downstairs dressed and Rosalie happily in her arms.
"Did you know that my Mother and Father have moved back in?" Lucius asked his wife and she rolled her eyes as she passed Rosalie to Priscilla.
"Have you only just realised that darling?" she asked with a gentle laugh, "I realised weeks ago when they were making no attempts to leave," she added before sweeping off to get herself a coffee.
Soon after Narcissa had settled down with her coffee, Abraxas and Cygnus arrived and breakfast was a causal affair with everyone settled in the sunroom. It had become a favourite place for everyone.
An owl suddenly flew in the window and Lucius was the first to reach it. He took the bundle from the owl and found himself face-to-face with a preview of the article announcing Rosalie.
"Mother, Father," he said, "can you please watch Rosa whilst Cissa and I look through the article? The Prophet would like this back today so they can go live with the article tomorrow," he said and Priscilla nodded before Lucius and Narcissa headed off to check over the article
The two grabbed fresh drinks and were soon seated with the article and began to work through it. There were tiny things that they needed to change but they were overall impressed with how the interview was written. The two poured over the preview for hours as they wanted to make sure that everything was accurate and that they hadn't missed anything that could be misinterpreted. They both knew the significance of the occasion.
Eventually they wrapped up the parchment and summoned the owl to them before sending the article away again.
"I'm nervous about this. There will be those who knew we'd gone through with the adoption, like your Mother's close friends and others we have told but this will be the first time that the world knows what we did," Narcissa said, "what if our friends turn against us?" she asked.
"Then it is their loss and not ours. We have our much longed for daughter and sister for Draco. As far as I'm concerned we haven't lost anything at all," Lucius said, "and if people can't cope with that then maybe they weren't true friends to begin with," he said and squeezed his wife's hand, "we won't have to hide her anymore after tomorrow and we can even go shopping in Diagon Alley and not have to hide her . This will open up so many opportunities for us now," he pointed out.
Narcissa looked at Lucius as he spoke and bit her lip as she thought about his words and she sighed before nodding.
"I never thought about it that way," she said softly, "it will be wonderful to be able to take her to Diagon Alley and not have to leave her behind," she said, "I do think that James and Cait should be warned though that the interview will be going live tomorrow. They are our in-laws after all… even if Draco and Astoria are not to wed for a few years yet," she said as she looked at her husband, "maybe I should invite them for tea as well. I'm sure Astoria would love to play with Rosalie again. She had such a fun time when they were last here."
Lucius smiled and nodded softly before kissing Narcissa's head as he left her to write a letter to the Greengrasses and to Draco at Hogwarts to inform them that the interview would be published in the Prophet the next day and invite them for tea as well. She soon finished writing and sent off the letter before rejoining everyone.
"How long before our delightful Druella decides she wants to come and seek an audience tomorrow?" Abraxas amused as they were all sat relaxing as evening fell.
"Not too long I suspect. Sources tell me she's had one eye on the Prophet for a while to see if she can find out anything," Priscilla said as she looked at the group, "she'll be here before lunchtime."
The next morning dawned and the Daily Prophet arrived early at Malfoy Manor. Everyone gathered around to read the article and to see whether the changes had been made or not. To Lucius and Narcissa's pleasure the changes had been made and they all read through the interview.
"I would have them around for interviews," Narcissa said, "has done everything we asked for," she said and Priscilla instantly agreed.
The group read through the interview several times pleased with how it had all turned out when a noise shattered the bliss that had been long held at Malfoy Manor.
"One guess who that is trying to get in," Priscilla said before she went to open the door.
"Well I see that I was right," she said with a smirk as she found herself face-to-face with Druella.
"Yes I have read it and had decided to come and see the child for myself," Druella replied.
"That child is your granddaughter whether you like it or not. Your daughter is happy… doesn't that matter to you at all?" Priscilla asked, "I know that you are not happy Rosalie is adopted but any mother would want their child happy," she said as she stared Druella down. She wasn't about to give the witch an easy time getting into the Manor.
"That child is not a Malfoy by birth and never will be," Druella said as she watched Priscilla.
"Well it is a good thing that Abraxas is head of the Malfoy family then," Priscilla said, "now are you coming in or not?" she asked before stepping aside so Druella could enter the Manor and took her down to where everyone was sat wondering how the visit would go.
