Hey everyone!
So, I am working on an update for my other ongoing fic and that should be up by the week but 3/4 are ready to go so I'm updating now as I don't want to keep people waiting. I hope you're all doing well, and things are as well as they can be when your grandmother is having chemotherapy. I'm writing again though!
Lots of love,

Breaking Traditions-Part 60:
Rosalie was now six months old and she was now able to sit up and stay sat up by herself. Her blue eyes were seen more around the Manor as she was staying awake for longer. This meant that Narcissa was sending a lot of photos to Hogwarts for Draco and he wrote back without very fast… by Narcissa's standards at least. He wanted to get home to see his baby sister but he couldn't so Lucius and Narcissa were planning to see Draco on a trip to the Highlands.
"Well she's really growing up now," James Greengrass said as he watched Rosalie sat on the floor with Astoria. The Malfoys had gone to the Greengrass Estate for the week and then they were going to surprise Draco at Hogwarts.
"She can sit up by herself and is developing a more normal sleep pattern," Narcissa said as she sat back in the chair drinking Whisky. She was slowly getting used to the taste of the drink, which was a relief.
"That's wonderful. And dare I ask for the latest on the Druella Drama?" Cait asked as she looked at Narcissa, "I know that it hasn't been great at all."
"She's not turning up her nose anymore and is wanting to see Rosa. I think it'll take a while before she sees her as a granddaughter but I can take what I have right now because that's better than it was," Narcissa replied as she looked at Cait.
"That is certainly better than nothing," James agreed as he looked at Lucius who had been rather quiet, "what do you think to all this?"
"I'm unsure what to think really," Lucius said, "on one hand I'm relieved that Druella is finally starting to accept Rosalie. On the other hand I have worries that she will change her mind at any point so I would say I'm quietly optimistic that things will work out but not going too far down the good road yet."
"No Rosa! Not my hair!" Astoria giggled as the six-month-old grabbed her hair, "my hair is not a toy!"
"She's been doing that a lot lately so I probably should have warned you about that," Narcissa said as she looked over at Astoria and her daughter, "it'll be time for her to have a nap soon…"
"I can do that," Astoria said before blushing, "it will allow you to carry on talking to Seanair and Seanmhair at leas," she said and Narcissa couldn't help but chuckle, nodding softly.
"Go on then. I think I can trust you to get her off to sleep. Your room though," the Malfoy mother said and Astoria nodded before grabbing Rosalie's bag and disappearing to her room.
"She'd have made a great big sister," Lucius said as he looked at James and Cait.
"She would have but Malcolm didn't get the son he wanted, only Astoria, so he didn't see the point in having another daughter," James replied, "we practically raised Astoria for that reason alone," he said as he had a drink of his whisky.
"I can see that she has had a better life with you then she would have had living with her parents," Lucius said, "Helene appears more accepting of the situation though than Malcolm."
"Helene saw herself as a failure and that failure means the line of Lairdship passes to Callum if I die before Astoria comes of age and Astoria, and Draco, will become the Laird and Lady. Malcolm is cruel and twisted and would destroy the Clan and Estate. Callum and Astoria will carry on what I have started," he said.
"Does Astoria know this?" Narcissa asked, "I can't imagine that she doesn't…"
"She knows. We wouldn't keep something like that from her no matter how old she is. I mean she is still young and has all the time in the world to be a child thankfully," Jams said, "she knows it's many years off yet and, for that, I am thankful," he said with a nod of his head, "we probably should have discussed it with you as they will have two Estates to run and, depending on things, a little girl to raise. Now you can't tell me that you haven't arranged for Draco and Astoria to have some part in your daughter's upbringing should the worst happen. We all know that Lucius' parents are first and then myself and Cait and then those two."
"We're hoping to still be around until Rosa comes of age but, yes, we have prepared for all eventualities to allow Rosa to be raised in a home where she will be loved and with people who care about her," Lucius said, "that's why we came to you so early on in the process as we couldn't have done this without you both… well the whole family," he said raising his whisky tumbler to James and Cait.
It was a while later and Cait showed Narcissa to Astoria's room and the sight that treated them melted their hearts. There was Astoria laid on the bed asleep with baby Rosalie snuggled next to her. Cait pulled out a camera and took a photo of the two together.
"This will become Astoria's favourite photo of all time when she sees it," Cait said with a chuckle before holding her breath as Astoria began to wake up and stretched softly.
"Oh hello Seanmhair," she said before sitting up, "is it time for dinner yet?"
"Almost," Cait replied, "Narcissa and I thought we'd better come and wake you up but it seems Little Miss Rosalie is also hungry," she chuckled as Rosalie was indeed beginning to wake up.
Narcissa went to her daughter, scooping her into her arms.
"Time for some food sweet girl and, then, tomorrow we will go and surprise your big brother at Hogwarts," Narcissa said, "your father being on the Board of Governors has its uses," she said and Cait and Astoria chuckled softly.
The four headed back downstairs and sat down before dinner was served and then the next day the Malfoys headed to Hogwarts to surprise Draco.
