"Alright, two weird questions, can we go outside, and does someone mind helping me dig a hole?" Confused expressions greeted her, as well as Mrs. Weasley asking, "begging your pardon?" She shrugged, and repeated her questions adding, "your son wants proof were demigods, so why not give him the proof and also give Harry the chance to say goodbye to his parents while I'm at it?"
Looks of utter and complete shock greeted her and she sighed saying, "was I not clear?"
"Kid, Lily, and James have been dead for fourteen years, we all wish we could say goodbye to them, but we also can't go outside to keep Headquarters a secret…" she locked eyes with Sirius and says, "you really think I'm going to do a resurrection without cover, I'll hide us with the Mist, no one will even see the door open."
Heading for the door she locked eyes with Grace who looks exasperated but didn't seem to care much about her decision to show off, she added, "y'all coming?"
Before she even reached the door, she turned to see the golden trio behind her as well as Lupin and Sirius, but she didn't bother saying anything to them, focusing on building an illusion in her mind before getting to the door.
Everything down to the grass she was about to
Opening it she turned around with a smirk and said, "want to see some real magic." Before stepping back into her illusion watching the wizards and laughing hard when they looked surprised out the door and stuck her head out. "Waiting for something, come on I can't do this during the day."
Offering Hermione a hand who gave her a confused smile and she pulled her outside into the illusion muttering, "how have you dealt with those idiots for the last four years. They're dumber than my cousin Percy, and he decided the best course of action at 11, was at one point was to fight a god single-handedly."
"That does sound rather stupid." Nodding she stopped in the small yard just inside the sidewalk saying, "this will do nicely, only I need a hole, and I swear Nico…" trailing off she rolled her eyes, thinking about her brother who had always been better at this. Just because she never liked her father's servants and subjects, ghosts made her nervous.
Kneeling beside the hole she let her power swell inside her closing her eyes as she began speaking, the ancient Greek words slipping off her tongue. Feeling the temperature drop around her she kept speaking seeing the shimmering spirits beginning to gather around her, and pulling out a snack she had brought tossing it into the hole.
She just needs enough to have two spirits materialize, and opening her eyes she said, "Lily and James appear." Letting her power seep into the ground she looked up seeing two ghostly figures took shape to gasps from the living.
One was a near copy of Harry down to the circular glasses, the other a beautiful kind, and an honest-faced woman whose eyes glinted with determination and fearlessness. "Mum, Dad," Harry whispered and Morgan said, "they can hear you but they cannot speak. I thought you may want a chance to say goodbye seeing as you never did get that chance. If my brother was here, he could help them speak but, I know how often I have wished for that chance that I now give you."
Stepping to the side she said, "I wish I could give more time but I can only keep them here so long. They will fade back into Elysium within the next few minutes."
He smiled at her saying, "this is more than I could have ever hoped for." Turning to face his parents he said, "I don't even really know what to say besides. I guess, thank you, you saved me. Even at the cost of your own lives, you thought of me. And I hope well," meeting his mother's eyes he finished. "I hope I can make you proud."
At this Morgan felt a searing pain in her gut and she stumbled over to the table. Barely staying on her feet as she felt sweat trickle down between her shoulder blades. The ghosts vanished as she sat down heavily a splitting headache beginning to form. The hole in the ground sealed and she exhaled. Suddenly she felt like she had just been thrust into icy cold water and she gritted her teeth drawling. "Proof enough for you."
Grace had expected her friend to show off, however, what she had not expected was for Morgan to summon two of the dead. So, when her friend had dropped into a chair clutching her head after coming back inside, she rolled her eyes towards the roof and asked. "When I told you to go to town this is not what I meant."
Her friend glared at her, her golden eyes still burning with power as she snapped, "well did you mean show them this." Morgan tugged free her shirt lifting it just enough to show the twisted, six-inch scar that tore down her ribs. Releasing the cloth, she asked, "or these," tossed aside her braided hair and revealing the cluster of scars from the shrapnel she had taken to avoid their friend Madison being killed.
Grace facepalmed annoyance radiating off her in waves, when she raised her head, she saw the dumbfounded look on Ron's face. Despite her best efforts, Grace burst out laughing at the look on his face. "You still haven't answered my question," Morgan drawled her usual confidence returning to her voice as she finished glaring at the redhead.
"Proof enough for you," Ron nodded and Hermione spoke up saying." How did you do that?" Morgan spun into her seat turning to face the witch and began the long explanation of her many abilities.
"My father gifted me with many powers, and since I discovered my heritage, I have amassed a rather large number." Rising to her feet she said, "as you have all seen I can summon the dead, but I can also summon the undead forces my father commands. I can control and summon any and all of the riches from under the earth, I can commune with the fallen and manipulate the mist. The magical veil that separates the world of the Greek gods and monsters from the mortal world." She finished leaving a very stunned group of wizards silent in the wake of her voice.
Then Sirius stepped forward sarcastically asking Grace, "so if your friend can do all that. What can you do?" Grace smirked back at the man, "oh you know just having enhanced mental processing. Being able to take in large amounts of information at a time, and near to always having a winning strategy for any combat situation."
If Sirius was surprised by this, he hid it well as shot back, "so what your saying is you're really smart." Grinning Grace continued the banter casually saying, "being smart is different than being wise. And from what I have heard you have the smarts to do some rather impressive things but not the wisdom to avoid throwing yourself into any fight that comes your way."
Lupin chuckled at this saying, "you have to admit Sirius. She's got you there," Sirius shrugged and Morgan drawled from behind Grace effortlessly twirling her new wand between her fingers. "Don't worry recklessness had its perks, like getting to kick an immortal jackass where the sun doesn't shine. Gods that was hilarious," Grace rolled her eyes snapping.
"Language, Morgan," even if she had found that equally hilarious. "Or getting to watch the daughter of Aphrodite absolutely wreak havoc on an army of centaurs." The door creaked open and in poked two identical faces with eyes the sparkled with mischief. "Oi mum," one of them started, "when do we get to meet the new transfer students." Standing from her seat Morgan confidently snapped, "how about right now."
Identical smiles split the twins' faces as Morgan strode towards them grinning in a similar manner they were. "Morgan Sabers," she said with a snap to the words. Grace sighed behind her introducing herself as well to the twins who popped back by saying. "I'm Fred," paired with the other one saying, "and I'm George." In unison, they both said, "were the Weasley twins."
Morgan looked back at Grace both thinking immediately to the Stoll brothers. The mischievous brother sons of Hermes, "nice to meet some of Ron's brothers." The twins opened the door fully and another redhead shoved past them, her long hair whipping across her brothers' faces.
"Move it, Fred George, I'm Ginny," Morgan raised her hand and connected in a good high five as she said. "I like you, you must be the famous Ginny," the girl smirked back at her saying. "I like you two as, well mum," she turned to face Mrs. Weasley, "they're staying in my room right."
The woman nodded and Ginny gestured for them to follow her shoving past her brothers again. Morgan looked over her shoulder at Grace, shrugging and ducking past the twins as she followed the girl up the stairs.
