It was a known fact that James Jesse, the first cheater, was getting old and as such, he needed his hours of rest. That's why he couldn't understand how there were two idiots arguing under his window, screaming, preventing him from sleeping. Normally the Trickster had a good temper, he was cheerful and as such he could take a joke, but if this was a joke, he wasn't funny at all. He was determined to go to his window and start yelling at them and tell them where they could yell. He would do it in good taste, except that one of the yellers was Mardon and because of the state of the storm, he wasn't in the best mood. But why was he arguing with Flash? Usually it was Snart who was flirting with Flash.

"Why are they arguing, son?" asked The First Trickster. Axel and he shared a room, although Axel preferred to have his own, it was a measure that the Rogues had to have more rooms available in the house, so they also made sure that Axel did not bring home anyone alien to them and so James could control/monitor his child's sex life.

-Probably Mardon has discovered that he is dating the Flash.-said Axel bored.

James had to blink several times. Oh. This was too good to be true! Surreptitiously, he opened the window so he could better hear their conversation. He was a gossip! Also, so he could look a little more at the figure of the Flash.

"But what's all this fuss?" James yelled. "Doesn't anyone sleep here?"

"It's four in the afternoon, Jesse," Mardon yelled.

"Fair point" James thought. But that didn't mean the Trickster didn't want to sleep. He was getting old, for God's sake! Damn Mardon, always thinking logically, like James was someone ordinary.

- Go have your lovers' fight somewhere else.-James yelled.-Go to Snart's window, see if he likes that, although by the way you yell he'll already know.

He could see Mardon immediately take offense and Flash blush. James was having a lot of fun. Annoying the Time Wizard was one of the First Trickster's hobbies.

"We're not having a lovers' fight!" Mardon yelled.

"That's not what I've been told, Mardon." James yelled. "May I know what the problem is?" Is it the sex?

"No!" Flash and Mark yelled at the same time.

"Flash, you have to understand that Mark is getting older and he can't be as effective as before, not even in bed." James continued. "And Mark, you have to understand that Flash is used to finishing fast. Look at the way the Flash solves our heists, why would he be any different in bed? Now that everything is cleared up, we can go back to sleep!"

Flash and Mark started to protest at the same time, both very angry or, as in Flash's case, very ashamed and flushed. James liked Flash, he was like his son Axel, so full of life and vitality in this cruel world.

"You're not helping, James!" Mardon yelled. "Go back to bed and leave us alone!"

"That's what we all want here! "James yelled closing the window. Axel was waiting for him, looking amused. James sighed in feigned defeat, but he was actually proud inside, for daring to mess with one of the most powerful people in the world, even though his danger often went unnoticed as a Rogue subject to strict moral control.

- You shouldn't have done that, dad.-Axel said.-Mark is going to be upset for days.

- I couldn't help it, son.-James confessed.-You know how easy it is for me to mess with Mark. Now we can sleep peacefully, without screaming to wake us up. I miss the eighties, Axel.

James got into bed and instantly fell asleep, although it was only half an hour, because Mark and Flash started screaming again. This wasn't fair! Even the evil and the good needed a break! He looked at Axel, in the bed next to his, sleeping peacefully, not knowing anything. Some were lucky! James covered him up so he wouldn't catch cold and reopened the window to try to solve his problems.

- Why don't you find a therapist to solve this problem? I have heard that in Gotham there are very good psychiatrists. Perhaps Dr. Quinzel or Dr. Crane.

"We're not going to Gotham to figure this out, James!" Mark yelled.

"You're right, it's too far," James agreed. "Although I've always believed that getting under other people's windows and starting to yell is a very mature way of solving your problems, so come on, get under Snart's window and keep him from sleeping."

Saying this, he closed the window again. He was the cheater after all.

- Matter resolved, son.-said James.-Fortunately, we are all reasonable here.
