Hermione sat outside their cave tending the fire. She had been tending the fire and brewing the potion they would need next week for most of the afternoon. Her husband should be back with dinner soon. She looked back to the cave and thought of the changes that would soon need to be made. Now, as far as caves go, this one was rather nice. The inside had been magically alerted to have a wood floor, temperature control, and many many bookshelves. They didn't have most modern conveniences, but did they really need them? They lived simply and had each other; did they need much more?

Hermione thought back to the day she and her husband had found their cave. It started in their third year when both of them had been infected. It had been a hard transition, but together, they found a new normal. Then things changed after the final battle with Voldemort, for he decided to launch his attack on the night of a full moon. Suffice to say, no one expected for Harry to turn into a giant wolf in the middle of the fight and bite Voldemort's head off. Of course, this meant their secret was exposed and they fled Britain. They had found their cave and lived there ever since.

Harry walked into the clearing with a freshly killed deer over his shoulder. He set it down and bent over and kissed his wife. He then went to the other side of the fire and started to clean and butcher their dinner. Hermione began to prepare things for the stew they ate for dinner. She went about her tasks, nervously glancing at Harry, not sure how to bring up what she needed to talk to him about.

"Harry," Hermione said quietly.

"Yes dear," Harry said, not looking up from his work.

"How, how do you feel about a pack?"

Harry looked up and stared at her for a moment over the fire. "I'm not a fan. We decided that a normal pack would not work for us. There's a reason werewolves and packs have their stereotype. Why? Have you been thinking about joining one?"

"No, of course not. I was just, wondering," Hermione said as she went back to her work. Harry nodded a few times and went back to his as well.

"Harry," Hermione said again.

"Yes dear," Harry said looking up.

"How do you feel, about starting our *own* pack?" Hermione said slowly as she put a hand on her stomach.

Harry looked at her for a moment, then his eyes went wide and he blinked a few times before he could say anything.

"Are, are you serious?" Harry said, the excitement rising in his voice. Hermione nodded, happy tears forming in her eyes. Harry let a joyous laugh and picked Hermione up and spun her around before pulling her close and pressing his lips into hers. When they separated, Harry put his hand on Hermione's belly and the little Potter growing there. They knew their life was and would be hard. But they were together, and together, they could do anything.
