Alex picked up the remote, went onto the YouTube app, and typed "Movies in Minutes YouTube channel" in the searchbar and picked the first result that popped up. Under "Videos", he filtered it under "Oldest", and picked the first video that popped up, "Iron Man in Minutes | Recap".

The video played, showing a clip of Tony Stark in a humvee.

Movies in Minutes: Genius, billionaire and playboy Tony Stark (a text graphic appears reading his name below), who has inherited the defense contractor Stark Industries from his father is in war-torn Afghanistan with his friend and military liasion, Lieutenant Colonel James Rhodes (a clip is shown of said man when he was giving Tony's award at an ceremony while a text graphics appears reading his name) to demonstrate the new Jericho missile. The next clip shows the convoy being ambushed by an army. The convoy is ambushed and Stark is critically wounded by one of his own rocket-propelled grenades. The clip is unmuted, as it goes off as Tony grunts to get out of the way, as he takes off part of his shirt, revealing a bulletproof vest. He is captured and imprisoned in a cave by the terrorist group, the Ten Rings (a muted clip shows the Ten Rings holding Tony hostage)

Everybody cringed in fear at the name, knowing now that the group was very dangerous.

Movies in Minutes: and an electromagnet is grafted into his chest by fellow captive Yinsen (the man appears in a clip as the text graphic reading his name appears again) to keep the shrapnel shell shards that wounded him from reaching his heart and killing him. As he says this part, a clip shows Tony and Yinsen creating the first miniature arc reactor. Stark and Yinsen secretly create a powerful electric generation called arc reactor to power Stark's electromagnet and a suit of powered armor to aid in their escape (a clip is shown of the Iron Man Mark I) although they keep the suit almost to completion, the Ten Rings attack the workshop when they discovered their intention.

"Typical terrorists-discover-hostages-are-not-aiding-them-but-are-figuring-out-how-to-escape-instead-trope." Ned said.

A clip is seen, showing Yinsen's death, as Tony tearfully watches.

Movies in Minutes: Yinsen sacrifices himself to divert them while the suit powers up. The armored Stark battles his way to find the dying Yinsen, then, in anger, burns the Ten Rings' weapons (a clip shows Tony burning the weapons and flying away) and flies away, crashing in the desert and destroying the suit. We see an part destroyed Iron Man suit, with Tony sitting in the desert. After being rescued by Rhodes, (a clip shows Tony's press conference after his return from Afghanistan) Stark returns home and announces that his company will no longer manufacture weapons. Obadiah Stane, (a clip is shown of Tony and Stane's conversation at the Stark Industries factory in Los Angelesas a text graphic appears at the bottom of the screen, reading his name)

Everybody glared at Obadiah.

Personal assistant Pepper Potts (a graphic appears at the bottom of the screen) places the original reactor inside a small glass showcase. We see Tony and Stane's meeting at his house. Though Stane requests details, Stark keeps his work to himself. Another clip show Tony at a charity event. At a charity event held by Stark Industries, reporter Christine Everhart (we see the scene where she confronts Tony about the weaponsas a graphic reading her name appears at the bottom of the screen)

Everybody blew raspberries at her name as she huffed in her seat.

Movies in Minutes: informs Stark that his company's weapons, including the Jericho, were recently delivered to the Ten Rings and are being used to attack Yinsen's home village: Gulmira. The clip shows Tony going through photos of the illegal weapon shipment. Stark also learns that Stane is trying to replace him as head of the company. Enraged by these revelations, (we see a clip of Tony donning the "Mark 3" Armor) Stark dons his new armor and flies to Afghanistan where he saves Yinsen's village. An unmuted clip attacking the terrorists, before it is muted again. While flying home, Stark is shot at by two F-22 Raptor fighter jets. It shows him being attacked by the jets. He reveals his secret identity to Rhodes (it shows Tony and Rhodey's phone call at the Air Force base) in an attempt to end the attack. The next clip shows Stane meeting with the Ten Rings. Meanwhile, the Ten Rings gather the pieces of Stark's prototype suit and meet with Stane, who subdues Raza with a sonic device and has the rest of the group killed. It shows him temporarily paralyzing Raza with the device. Stane has a new suit reverse-engineered from the wreckage (a clip shows Stane shouting at his chief scientist, William Ginter Riva), seeking to find any other weapons delivered to the Ten Rings. It shows Stane about to suit up as Iron Monger. Stark sends Pepper to hack into the company computer system from Stane's office. It shows her finding the surveillance video of the Ten Rings' message to Stane. She discovers Stane's been supplying the terrorists and hired the Ten Rings to kill Stark but the group reneged. A clip shows Pepper meeting with several S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, including Phil Coulson. Potts meets with Agent Phil Coulson (a text graphic appears at the bottom of the screen, reading his name) of S.H.I.E.L.D., a counterterrorism agency to inform him of Stane's activities. A clip shows Stane confronting his scientists. Stane's scientists cannot duplicate Stark's arc reactor so Stane ambushes Stark at home and takes his, though Stark manages to get his original reactor to replace the taken one. We see a clip of Iron Monger ambushing Pepper and the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents. Potts and several S.H.I.E.L.D. agents attempt to arrest Stane, but he dons his suit and attacks them. We see a clip of a fight between Iron Man and Iron Monger. Stark fights Stan but is outmatched without his new reactor to run his suit at full capacity. Iron Monger steps on Iron Man's chest as the clip is unmuted for a second.

Iron Monger: I built this company from nothing!

"No, I did." 1945-Howard said.

Iron Monger: Nothing is going to stand in my way! He throws Iron Man into a bus as the clip is muted again.

Movies in Minutes: Stark lures Stane atop the Stark Industries building and instructs Potts to overload the large arc reactor there. We see a clip of Stane's body electrified, causing him to fall into the reactor. This unleashes a massive electrical surge that causes Stane and his body to fall into the exploding reactor, killing him. We see the final clip of the movie as Rhodey whispers something in Tony's ear. The next day, at a press conference, Stark admits to being the superhero the press has dubbed "Iron Man". The clip is unmuted for a second.

Tony (reading his cards): The truth is… (he lowers the cards and looks at the audience) I am Iron Man. The audience gasps. The scene is then umuted as the reporters start standing up.

"Yes, you are." everybody smiled.

Movies in Minutes (a clip of the post-credits scene with Fury meeting Tony is shown): In a post-credits scene, S.H.I.E.L.D. director Nick Fury (a text graphic appears at the bottom, reading his name) visits Stark at home, telling him that Iron Man is not "the only superhero in the world" and explaining he wants to discuss the "Avenger Initiative".

And that's the end of the chapter. In the next chapter, we will go over "Captain America: The First Avenger in Minutes | Recap".
