He strikes at her face with his fist x3 times before pinning her back on the floor and putting his hands around her neck with a tight grip.

Rollins desperately attempted to break away from the man who was strangling her, her lungs begging for air as she used every ounce of her strength.

The sound of bullets being fired just a few feet away caused the pressure and hold around her neck to be released, and she quickly grabbed her throat. The guy who was on top of her had his body shake and freeze before he fell off right beside her.

Blood could be seen on his black hoodie as it was gushing and rushing out out of his stomach dreadfully. a pool of blood slowly started to spill from his body. Rollins weakly tilted her head up just a little bit enough to see the familiar face who walked over, fin.

"Are you alright?" He bent down offering a soft touch to her shoulder. "Y-yeah" she dryly responded with a weak nod and sighed, grabbing her forehead. she defiantly had a migraine.

Agents from the CSU, FBI, and NYPD were on the scene at the Warehouse, rapidly collecting evidence and taking photographs. The agents were dispersed all over the area, resembling rats scurrying around the scene.

The FBI and detectives searched the whole place and that ended up with them finding creates that were filled with loads of weapons, ammunition, bulletproof armor, duffel bags filled with millions of cash, drugs, etc.

Amaro entered his house with much exhaustion. He took off his coat and shoes, and as he walked past the living room, he saw the papers and photos that were scattered throughout the room. They were the evidence that he had been diligently working on during the past few days, in an attempt to solve a recent crime. He had been extremely stressed out trying to get to the bottom of the case, and as a result, he had been staying up all night.

He grabbed a beer from the refrigerator, taking a long sip and feeling its coolness quench his parched throat. He sighed contentedly, basking in the sensation and feeling its warmth spread throughout his body. Then, he rummaged through his pocket for a cigarette, pulled one out, and lit it with a lighter. placing it between his lips. He lit it with a lighter, inhaling the smoke with a deep breath and exhaling it slowly.

After putting out the cig and straightening himself up, he went to the bathroom.

He pulled off his shirt and threw it in the laundry bin then looked himself at the mirror that exposed him to the cuts and scars that were marked on his lower stomach and the upper left part of his chest.

'flashback'

Amaro was sitting at the bar, drinking a cold beer and watching the people around him. He noticed a man talking to a waitress, and he seemed to be getting increasingly aggressive. He saw the man reaching out and touching the waitress' ass, even after she had told him to stop.

He stood up and walked over and slapped the man's arm away, he was not about to let a man disrespect a woman like that. suddenly the guy jumped up out of his seat and was inches away from amaro's face "and what the fuck are you gonna do huh?" The man with a biker's jacket, grown out beard and a bandana on his head spoke.

The crowd gathered around the scene that they assume were about to unfold in a fight as the two men were standing up straight face to face from eachother looking at them as if they dared one another to make the first move. Amaro looked the man up and down before walking away and quickly pausing once he heard the man Taunt out saying, "Yeah that's what I thought, walk away princess"

Suddenly, His fist connected with a loud thud. The crowd gasped in shock, murmuring among themselves. The fight had begun and all eyes were on the two men. Amaro had the advantage of being the stronger of the two, but the man fought back fiercely. They both exchanged punches and kicks, neither one giving an inch.

Amaro was throwing powerful punches at the man, one after another. Out of nowhere, another person entered the fray and started to battle Amaro, pummeling him. The bar patrons were in a state of shock, but some of them rushed to Amaro's aid. In the blink of an eye, the bar erupted into a state of pandemonium: glasses and furniture were smashed, fights broke out everywhere, and people were shrieking and fleeing for their lives.

After a few minutes, it was clear that Amaro's randomly formed team was winning. They had clearly taken the upper hand, and the man that amaro was fighting was on the ground, struggling to get back on his feet.

The sirens of police cars wailed in the distance as officers arrived at the scene, their guns drawn and their voices raised in orders for everyone to put their hands up, but before the cops arrived, Amaro had already fled the scene and successfully got away.

He grabbed a gauze pad and betadine from the medicine cabinet above the mirror then applied it to the wounds.

He gritted his teeth and winced in pain as the gauze came in contact with his skin. He was trying to treat the deep cut he had sustained while working on the clock. then he gently cleaned the wound with some antiseptic and started to wrap it with the gauze.

His hands were shaking and his forehead was drenched in sweat as he struggled to get the gauze in the right place, after a few attempts of struggling that lead to nothing and hopeless fails, he finally succeeded in getting the gauze right and patched it up.

Now to wrap it up he grabbed a bottle of painkillers and took a few.

Olivia came through the front door, exhausted and drained after a long day. She had been running errands from the time she got off work, and her day had only gotten busier from there.

She had gone to work, where she put in a full eight hours for the day, and afterwards she had stopped by the grocery store to pick up ingredients for dinner. By the time she made it home, her feet were aching and her head was spinning from the long day.

She had spent The afternoon rushing from meeting to meeting, and the evening talking to the IA. As she slowly dragged her feet up the stairs to her front door, she felt a wave of relief wash over her – she was finally home, and all she wanted was to collapse on the couch and stay there.

The first thing she did was kick off her shoes – the same shoes she had been wearing all day and were now pinching her feet in all the wrong places. She placed the groceries on the counter before sinking on the couch cushions and taking a few deep breaths, as she slowly exhaled, Her entire body melted into the couch. All the stress and exhaustion of the day faded away, and she was filled with a warm sense of contentment.

She decided to take a hot shower and wash away the stresses of the day. As she stepped out of the shower, She went into the kitchen to prepare dinner with absolutely no way of knowing how to make it.

She held a cooking manual in her hands, fresh from the store, She read through the instructions, grinding her teeth in concentration, determined not to mess up anything so that the dish would be perfectly made. Her mind was focused on putting in the right ingredients and the amount of required teaspoons, so she didn't notice the bag of flour shake as she moved it aside.

A few seconds later, a cloud of white power hit the kitchen walls and floor. She closed her eyes and sighed, feeling like this was the last straw. Could the day get any worse than this?

———

Amanda unlocked the front door to her house and walked through it, she closed and locked the door behind her and hung up her coat. as she was walking towards the living room, She heard a strange sound coming from the living room so she paused to focus and listen in closer before she reached for her gun.

Amanda crept up to the living room entrance silently, like a mouse. In a flash of action, she burst in with an astonished 'KIM!?' Her sister and her shirtless boyfriend Alex were cuddling and kissing on the couch, but stopped as soon as Amanda interrupted. The room was filled with the smell of weed and cigarettes.

Rollins, her face red with rage, snatched the boots and shirt from the floor and hurled them at the man, who caught them against his chest. She then raised her gun and shouted, 'GET OUT!'

He hurriedly donned his boots and hastened out of the door, with Amanda close behind him, her gun still held aloft and pointing towards him. As soon as he had left, she slammed the door shut and locked it.

She took a deep breath and sighed, how could this be happening again? who else would've expected her sister to show up out of nowhere. She holstered her gun and ran back towards the living room "You are a MESS" Amanda spoke while breathing heavily and pacing back and forth like an angry tiger, she couldn't believe her sister right now! "What? we were just h-having fun.." Kim chuckled as she took another smoke.

"You cannot just keep showing up to my place unannounced and whenever you want Kim" She held her hands on her hips looking down at her sister who was a drunken mess, her eyes were red and she was high on something.

Kim's eyes were blood shot and her hair was unkempt. She stumbled around the room, bumping into furniture and knocking over a lamp. She was clearly intoxicated, her words slurred and her speech barely intelligible.

"your gonna have to get out of my house" She stated which caused her younger sister to frown and look up at her offended like her heart had just gotten broken. "You've caused to much damage to me and my life, you almost got me fired and arrested, your bringing men over in my place, and your doing weed and drugs on my property and now you have just destroyed my home." She spoke. it was time for her sister to go, she had had it with her sister, all the times she got fooled, all the times she got her heart broken and betrayed.

"You gotta go Kim, you can go anywhere but you cannot stay here, not anymore from now on, and I won't allow you to be around my daughter either, I'll get a restraining order if I have to." Amanda emphasized with shaking her head, She couldn't take this anymore. this made her feel like one of the world's most worst sister ever but she had to make a decision.. a decision that if she would rather want kim in her life or not.

Kim stared at her sister in disbelief, her mouth slightly agape and her eyes wide with shock. Had she really just heard her correctly? Did her sister actually mean what she had just said? Did she really not want her around anymore? Kim felt her heart drop into her stomach and her breathing become labored.

After travelling all the way from Oklahoma in an attempt to reconcile with her older sister, she felt as though everything she held dear was being ripped away from her. With anger boiling inside of her, she rushed past Amanda, grabbing her belongings and hastily packing them into a duffel bag, before storming off.

After a few minutes of standing in complete silence who was stressed and very exhausted, "I need a drink" She said to herself before she took out a wine bottle and took a wine cup out of the cabinet. she poured the wine and took a sip with her back leant against the edge of the counter, fingering in her thoughts.

Eli, Amanda's 15-year-old daughter, who had just stepped off the bus from school, was suddenly surprised when the front door opened and she saw the house in disarray, as if it had been broken into.

Amanda asked with a smile that was way too wide on her face, "Hey hunny, how was school?" The young girl slowly nodded in response and walked into the kitchen where her mom was. Once she marched into the living room and didn't find her aunt sitting in the recliner that she'd always be in nor her shoes there, she asked, "W-what happened? Where's aunt Kim?"

"Uh.." Amanda trailed off. Lying to her sweet girl was something that she really didn't like doing, and one time she was even more troubled when she found out that her daughter had been lied too about a situation that has been going on for 3 weeks as well.

Since she knew how much her daughter adored her sister, she thought that she would lie to keep her happy. She had seen her daughter's face light up every time she was around her sister, and she would imagine that it would be heartbreaking to watch her daughter's face fall when she had been told.

"Mom?" Eli raised her eyebrows, waiting for an answer.

Amanda was completely snapped out of her thoughts and quickly formed up an response "Oh-uh uh.. she had to leave" She stated before taking another mouthful of the wine sitting beside her, still not an explanation for the damaged furniture knocked over all in the living room. "Mom did you kick her out? Is that why? did you guys fight again?maybe that's the reason that stuff is everywhere" Eli sighed and folded her arms She really thought that her daughter would be dumb enough to not actually understand on what happened here?

"No no we didn't fight, you weren't here so you don't know what happened"

"obviously" The teenager rolled her eyes "why did you kick her out mom? STOP lying!" she raised her tone.

"don't raise your voice at me" Amanda firmly warned. "And I didn't kick her out, I just simply told her that she had to go back home" amanda clarified with a small shrug.

"Same thing." eli sighed, slapping her forehead. ugh could her mom just tell her the truth already?!

"Alright look, she was doing drugs and bringing random guys over, that Isn't okay." Amanda finally said which caused her daughter's mouth to go ajar. "Okay and? So what.. who cares if she was bringing guys over or during drugs, you kicked her out right before the day of my cheerleading practice, I wanted her to come" The 15-year-old let out a hiss of disbelief, huffed in frustration, and stomped the floor in utter shock; she could not believe that her mom had done something like this!

"What do you mean 'So What'?," Amanda barked back, incredulous. "It's not just a 'So what' on bringing guys over and doing drugs, Eli. Don't you realize that he could've HURT you or even RAPED you?" She couldn't believe she was actually arguing with her daughter over this, but she expected it.

"Mom your a detective, your a Police Officer for christ's sake, your suppose to help people not just throw them away and leave them in the dust" Eli said.

"Ugh! Your the worst and horrible mom EVER!" Knowing that she crossed a line here and knew that if she stood infront of her mom any longer for her to gather any ideas than no doubt she'd be in big trouble once she exited out of the kitchen, (not like she wasn't gonna be either way) She stormed off towards the staircase and stomped up the stairs to her room, Once she was in she slammed the door shut and purposely opened it back up again just to slam it again, making sure she was heard loud and clear.

Although Amanda understood that the girl was sorrowful due to the absence of her aunt, she chose to overlook her behavior. However, she was not pleased with her daughter labelling her a 'bad mom'.

Amanda sighed, 'kids' She thought to herself, they could really get the best of you. "why did I even have one?" She muttered to herself, more like it was a question that she would preferably ask herself everyday.

The next day, detectives were in the interrogation room with a friend of Bick's whom they believed was involved in the murders. Although the friend had always been cooperative with the police, they had enough evidence to bring him in for questioning.

As they were questioning him they also made sure to observe his body language and facial expressions. "When was the last time you talked to Bick?" Amaro said, pacing around the table until he stopped and leaned in. "Uh.. like 4 days ago" The guy responded "About what?" The brunette detective asked. "Why?"

"We ask the questions, Not you. we except you to answer them" Fin said, settling in his chair across from the guy. The man, looking at the detectives nervously, pleaded, "Please, I don't know anything, I swear! I have kids waiting for me at home, let me go."

Amaro stated that, "even though we aren't accusing or implying that you did anything wrong, there was enough evidence to suggest that you could have been involved in these cases. The time you left your house during the night last night, was the same time Bick killed his other victim."

Amaro and Fin exchanged looks at each other upon hearing the man's words, "Look, I didn't even know that Bick was doing this stuff. I was just taking a night walk. I swear I didn't kill any of those people!"

Amaro and Fin never mentioned that the man had killed anyone, so why did he bring it up? It's possible he was feeling anxious as the detectives asked him questions.

"Whoa, wow, we never said that you killed anyone" Fin said and glanced at Amaro, He asked "Where were you the time of the murders?" The man became frustrated and replied, 'I already said that I was taking a walk.' The detective followed up, "Taking a walk where and what street?" The man answered, "It was on Rosaville Ave, I was getting a slushy."

"What's the name of the slushy place?" The detective strikes back "Jesus would you guys get off my ass for one minute?" The man sighed and sunk back into his chair "Maybe try answering the questions" Amaro said and folded his arms, listening to the guy's words closely as he answered "It was at Rimi's Burgers and Tacos"

"It appears you walked to a different place than the one you mentioned. We checked the surveillance cameras around the area you said you were walking and saw you getting into a black Cadillac with no license plate. Can you tell us where the car took you?" The man responded by shrugging and replying, "Okay, fine. The driver drove me to an abandoned warehouse it was People that Bick had killed. I helped him capture a girl later on, then I shot and killed her." He admitted simply.

The detectives paused for a brief moment to contemplate the man's words, then shared a silent exchange before departing the room. Olivia and Amanda were listening outside as they exited the interrogation area.

"Lock him up" was all that Olivia said, she didn't need to hear anymore to make her decision. "Oh and also I need to talk to you guys really quick." She called over and gestured the detectives.

Once they were in the briefing room she gently closed the door behind them. "Look.. we have been told to back off and gotten taken off of the Mandle case." Olivia said, which caused the detectives to furrow their eyebrows. There's no way that she just said that, were they hearing her right?! "What? This guy is dangerous and we need to get him off the streets before he takes or hurts anymore people." Finn said. "I know, but the orders have come down from the IA and we have to follow them, it's not up to us." She said.

Amanda was done with this nonsense decided to grab her jacket and said 'IA my ass, I'm going down there!' Fin, who was just as frustrated as Amanda, quickly followed suit. It was time to get some answers.

Amanda and Finn had drove down to the IA Headquarters and then after some short time, they were finally in Tucker's office. "Look," Tucker said, "I know you're upset, but the reason is classified, detective, and even if we could tell you the reason, it would be high above your pay grade" Fin and Amanda glanced at eachother as in a way of saying 'is he serious?!' "Look with all do respect Sir, We have been pouring our hearts and souls into this case for weeks, We have been staying up late and getting up early, sacrificing our sleep and our free time jus tho catch this guy, now your telling me that despite all our hard work, all of our long hours, and all of our sleepless nights, our efforts have been for nothing?" Amanda sighed, life was such a bitch right now.

"No, I've never said that, The work that you guys ha done can and will be used in the investigation, but specifically you guys aren't allowed to resume or take part in this investigation any more." Tucker said, Fin opened his mouth to speak, but was quickly cut off by Tucker, who raised his hand and raised his voice aswell, 'Out!' He then pointed towards his office door.
