AN: Once again thank you for the reviews and for all the favorite and follows. Happy really isn't an easy character to write about but at least I'm trying here.
While Tara and Alyssa were getting ready to leave for the family dinner over at Gemma's, Alyssa stood in front of Tara's mirror as she started applying some makeup. The bruises on her face were still there, but hopefully they wouldn't be noticed at dinner tonight. It was bad enough that Tara had to see them. She didn't want anyone else seeing them either.
As Alyssa continued to apply some blush to hide the bruises, she watched Tara slowly get ready in front of the mirror. Alyssa couldn't help but snort a little. "Damn Tara, could you move just a little faster? You're moving like a snail," she said with a laugh.
Tara sighs annoyingly as she rolls her eyes. "Whatever. I just don't see why we have to go. I mean I could cook us a family dinner right here at home," she says with a smile.
Alyssa sniggers as she smiles at her big sister." True you could, but we both know that you're gonna end up at Gemma's for the family dinner. So suck it up big sis because we're going." Alyssa said with a smirk as she tossed her make up into her bag.
You know Gemma might end up asking you questions. Like why you're here," Tara warned as she put her earrings on.
Alyssa sighs as she nods her head." Yeah, I know."
"Um, are you ever going to tell me? I know we're not as close as we used to be when we were growing up. But I'm still here for you. You can still talk to me. I mean, if you and Brian are having some kind of marital problems..."
Alyssa exhaled deeply as she turned around and faced Tara. "Well, since you haven't learned to stay out of my business since high school, and since you're not going to give up until I finally tell you, I might as well tell you now. But I swear Tara, this conversation doesn't leave this room and it stays between us. Because if you breathe one word of this to Jax, I am never telling you anything ever again." She warned Tara.
Tara nodded her head in agreement. "I won't tell Jax anything unless you tell me otherwise," Tara promised as she sat down on the edge of her bed, giving Alyssa her full attention.
Alyssa exhales deeply. "Do you remember the last time you guys came out to Oregon and when you and I made plans to have lunch at the cafe, just the two of us so we could catch up? But then Brian insisted that he come along, and you made a joke about how I couldn't go anywhere without him, and I sorta laughed it off?"
"Yes, I do recall it."
" Well, it's the truth. I'm not allowed to go anywhere without him. Actually I am not allowed to do anything without Brian knowing."
Tara raised her brows for a moment. "What the hell are you talking about?" Tara asked as she tried to figure out what Alyssa was trying to say.
Alyssa sighed heavily as she answered Tara's question. "Brian has been controlling my life since the day we got married," she said softly, looking down for a moment. "It got worse when he got promoted."
" Jesus, Alyssa! Why haven't you say anything before?" Tara asked as she couldn't believe what she was hearing right now. When Tara first met Brian she thought he would be the kind of man who would make her sister happy and give her a normal life. She never expected this.
Alyssa scoffed as she shook her head while quickly wiping away her tears. "I couldn't tell you, I couldn't tell anyone. Hell Tara, I couldn't even have friends over, and it wasn't because Brian wouldn't let me... it was because I didn't want anyone to know what was going on. I didn't want anyone judging me."
Alyssa, I'm your sister. I would never judge you. You should have called me. Or even better, just come home. If anyone knows how dangerous it is being stuck in an abusive relationship, it's Tara. She knows what Alyssa is going through.
Alyssa nods her head and sighs softly. "Yeah, but I'm here now."
Tara nods her head." But he doesn't know that you're here though does he?"
Alyssa shook her head. "No, he doesn't. But he knows that I'm gone and it's only going to be a matter of time before he starts showing up here." She said as she crossed her arms over her chest. She knew Brian was already looking for her and he already knew that Charming was the one place, the only place Alyssa would go to since her family was in Charming.
Tara sighs heavily as she pinches the bridge of her nose and closes her eyes for a moment. "Damn it," she murmurs as she drops her hand down to her side before getting up and walking over to Alyssa. "You didn't get that bruise by playing football with Nathan, you got that bruise from Brian," Tara states the obvious.
Alyssa slowly nodded her head. "Yeah," she whispered softly.
" Has Brian ever hits you before?"
Alyssa shook her head. "That night when I called you, it was the first time."
Tara reached for Alyssa's hands as she took a deep breath." You're safe here, and I promise you Brian will never go anywhere near you. Come on let's go and get this dinner over with." Tara said as she threw her arm over Alyssa's shoulder like she used to when they were kids, and walked out of her room.
While Tara was busy helping the other old ladies prepare dinner, she looked over and noticed Gemma was standing in the dining room talking to Alyssa. Tara sighs heavily as she shook her head while chopping carrots. Tara should be in there just in case Gemma starts asking Alyssa questions, instead she's in this damn kitchen preparing dinner, the dinner she never wanted to come to in the first place.
" So, how long are you in Charming for?" Gemma asked as her and Alyssa was busy setting up the table. What Gemma really wanted to know is why Alyssa is in Charming. But she made a promise to Tara that she wouldn't ask questions that would piss Alyssa off, or Tara for that matter. So Gemma had to choose her questions wisely.
Alyssa shrugged her shoulders as she walked around the table placing the silverware while Gemma placed the plates. "I don't know," she answered as she placed the last piece of silverware. "At least a few days."
Gemma looks at Alyssa as she nods her head for a moment. "How are things going with your husband?"
Um, everything is going fine with us," Alyssa answered, completely lying but hoping Gemma wouldn't notice. The last thing Alyssa needed was for Gemma to find out that things between her and Brian were not fine.
Gemma nodded her head slightly. "Why didn't he come with you?" she asked, unable to help herself.
Brian had to work, so he couldn't make it," Alyssa answered, hoping the lie she just told Gemma would convince Gemma that her relationship with Brian was once again fine.
Alyssa took a deep breath as she gave Gemma a friendly smile. "I'm going to go see if Tara needs any help," she said as she turned around and walked into the kitchen before Gemma could ask any more questions.
As Gemma watched Alyssa walking back into the kitchen, she exhaled deeply as she could tell something was definitely off with her. Gemma had always been able to read people and could see right through their bullshit. Gemma knew Alyssa was hiding something and she was going to find out what it was.
Tara looked up as soon as Alyssa walked into the kitchen." Hey, are you okay?" Tara asked softly as she was concern mostly she was afraid that Gemma once again stuck her foot in her big mouth.
Alyssa nodded her head. "Yeah, um I am going to step outside for some fresh air," Alyssa said as she walked past the kitchen island and walked out the back door. The moment Alyssa stepped out back, she closed her eyes as she took a deep breath and breathed in the fresh air. It was good to be outside again and away from Gemma; Alyssa could already tell Gemma was already getting suspicious. Alyssa had to get out of there before Gemma kept asking more questions.
Looking over to the side, Alyssa realized that she wasn't alone as she noticed the bald-headed man she had seen earlier at the clubhouse was leaning against his motorcycle smoking a cigarette. As Alyssa kept staring at the man before her, she noticed the tattoos all over his arms, which already got her interested. Alyssa always loved tattoos. She always wanted to get one. But Brian wouldn't let her, because according to him, tattoos were for people who were either in prison or going to prison.
Alyssa also noticed that he was very tall, and very lean and muscular. Which totally opposite of Brian. Brian is tall and he is lean, but he ain't muscular. This man she can't stop staring at is and Alyssa is already wanting to see how muscular he is and wants to explore...
Alyssa quickly stops her thoughts as she shook her head and took another deep breath as she walked up to him." Can I get one of those?" She asked pointing to his cigerette.
Happy simply nodded his head as he pulled a pack from his pocket and pulled one out for her. After he lit it up for her, he took a drag from his cigarette and blew some smoke to the side. "I saw you at the clubhouse earlier today. You were with Tara," he said in a raspy voice.
Damn not only the man who's a few feet away from her is attractive, his voice is attractive as well. Alyssa cleared her throat as she took the first drag of her cigarette as she tried to ignore the way her body was reacting towards him and right now it's screaming for him, but she has to keep it under control. "Yeah, She's my sister. I am Alyssa."
Happy simply nods his head." Happy."
Alyssa nods her head." I know, Tara told me." Alyssa said as she took another drag from her cigerette and blew some smoke to the side.
Happy raised his brows for a moment." What else did she tell you?" Happy asked as he wonder if Tara told her sister anything else about him.
Alyssa shrugged her shoulders. "Not much really, all she told me was that your name was Happy and you're part of Jax's club. She said that you were known as the club killer or something like that." Alyssa answered as she finished her cigarette before flicking it across the yard.
Happy has been called many things and Killa was definitely one of them. Happy always killed for his club and he always took great pleasure in torching and killing their enemies whenever they deserved it, which is mostly all the time, and he has no regrets either.
Happy asked, "What happened to your face? I can see the bruises on it."
Alyssa knew she should have applied more blush to cover them up better." It's nothing. I am gonna head back inside. It was nice talking to you Happy." She said with a small smile as she turned around and wallked back into Gemma's.
As Happpy was watching Alyssa walking back into the kitchen he couldn't understand why she would straight up and lie to him in his face just now. Clearing those bruises weren't nothing, and he was liking it one bit. Happy was already wanting to fimd the son of bitch who did that to her face, and kill him. But of course he wanted to torture the fucker first.
Happy Lowman doesn't usually care for another woman honestly, He was always fuck em and leave em kind, especially when he's on the runs. Unlike some of his brothers in the club.. Happy was never the one to find a old lady or any of that shit. Main reasons why he always fucked the crow eaters, because for one they know when to leave when he's done fucking them, and for two most of them know when to shut up.
But there's something about Alyssa that has the Killa interested and he wants to know more. Like how is she gonna feel once he's buried inside of her. But first he needs to know how and why there's bruises on her face.
AN: I hope I wrote Happy alright, and I hope this chapter was to everyone's satisfaction. Leave me reviews and let me know what you all think.
