Driving through the neighborhood, Alyssa pulled up in the driveway of the house she and Tara had grown up in with their father. Just like Tara, Alyssa had some memories growing up in that house - some good, but mostly bad. Especially after their mother died. Alyssa remembered how their father would go out every night to some bar with his buddies and tie one on. She also remembered watching Tara take care of their father when he came home drunk. Of course, Alyssa couldn't understand why Tara would want to take care of their drunk father. He certainly hadn't taken care of them, so why would Tara want to waste her time? Alyssa couldn't really understand it.

After Tara left Charming to go to school down in San Diego, Alyssa was angry with her. It wasn't because Tara went to school; Alyssa knew how important going to college was for Tara. Alyssa was mostly angry with Tara because she left Alyssa alone with their father, who had gotten worse since Tara left.

Every time their father came home drunk after being out all night, Alyssa would run away from home so she wouldn't have to deal with him. She used to stay with Opie for a few nights. She had considered staying with Jax, but considering things between him and Tara were kind of rocky at the time, Alyssa didn't feel it was right.

Getting out of her car, Alyssa walked up and got a closer look at the For Sale sign. Grabbing a pen and a piece of paper from her purse, Alyssa wrote down the Realtor's number before getting back into the car and driving back to Jax and Tara's. Alyssa had been planning on leaving Charming and taking her kids somewhere that Brian couldn't find them. But now maybe Alyssa didn't have to leave Charming so soon after all.

Hearing someone pull up behind her, Alyssa looked over and noticed Happy pulling up alongside her car. Alyssa sighed exasperatedly and rolled her eyes. "What are you doing here?" she asked him as she walked up to him with her arms crossed over her chest.

"I was on my way to the clubhouse when I saw you standing in the driveway. Are you considering buying this house?"

Alyssa shrugs her shoulders." Maybe, what is it you?"

Nothing, it's just that I didn't think you were staying in Charming for very long. I mean, according to Jax, you're actually thinking of leaving Charming tomorrow. After that night at Gemma's, Happy couldn't stop thinking about Alyssa or those bruises on her face, which have finally faded away. So he sort of asked Jax about her.

Well, plans have sort of changed, and why were you talking to Jax about me? Alyssa asked, getting defensive already. You didn't tell him about the bruises you saw, did you?

Happy shrugs his shoulders. "I might have mentioned it to him."

Alyssa groans in frustration." Unbelievable." She said as she shook her head." You had no right to talk to Jax about me, and as for those bruises you saw, they're nothing. So why even worry about it?"

Happy moved away from his motorcycle, stepping closer to Alyssa, shaking his head. "Those bruises on your face don't look like nothing. If there's someone hurting you, just tell me and I'll go right now and kill the fucker." The one thing Happy wouldn't stand for was some asshole beating on a woman.

Well, you don't have to worry because nobody is hurting me. So just do me a favor and just let it go. Alyssa said with a sigh as she stepped back from him, already getting distracted by his scent. She then walked back towards her car.

Why don't you come to the clubhouse later tonight?

" Why should I?" Alyssa asked as she raised her brow.

Happy shrugs his shoulders. "Because there's going to be a SAMCRO party tonight and I kinda figured maybe you want to come, unless you have other plans." Happy normally wouldn't invite a woman to a SAMCRO party, mostly because he just ends up meeting them at the party. But Alyssa isn't just some woman off the street, plus he would rather be around her tonight than any of the Crow Eaters.

Alyssa sighed deeply as she shrugged her shoulders. "I'll think about it," she said, then got back behind the wheel. Alyssa looked at Happy for a moment before closing the door and starting the engine. She pulled out of the driveway and headed back to Tara and Jax's. Alyssa didn't have any plans tonight, but the last thing she wanted to do was go to some SAMCRO party. Maybe she could talk Tara into going with her.

Walking into the house, Alyssa saw Tara in the kitchen, feeding Sabrina some lunch. "Hey, what are you doing later tonight?" she asked as soon as she walked into the kitchen and set her purse on the kitchen counter.

" Nothing really, why?" Tara asked suspiciously as she continued to feed Sabrina.

" Well, I was wondering if you wanted to come to the clubhouse with me tonight." Alyssa answered as she walked over to the fridge and grabbed helped herself to one of Jax's beers before she popped it open and sat across from Tara.

Tara snorted as she shook her head. "Why would I want to go to the clubhouse later?"

Alyssa sighed exasperatedly as she rolled her eyes. "Supposedly, there's a SAMCRO party tonight, and Happy sorta invited me along," she answered, taking a drink from her beer before setting the bottle back down on the kitchen table.

" When did you talk to Happy?"

Alyssa rolled her eyes and sighed deeply. "He sorta saw me standing outside of Dad's house."

"What were you doing over at Dad's house?"

Alyssa shrugs her shoulders. "I was writing down the Realtor's number because I'm interested in buying the house. But that's beside the point. The point is that Happy invited me, and I'm asking if you want to come."

"I don't know, I'm trying to stay away from the clubhouse as much as I can. Not to mention Gemma," Tara said with a sigh. "Besides, it's not like you even like Happy or anything. Do you like Happy?" Tara asked, wanting to make sure that Alyssa did or didn't.

Alyssa snorted as she shook her head. "Why would you ask me something like that? I'm married, remember?"

" So? Do you like Him or not?" Tara asked repeating the question.

"No, I don't like him," Alyssa answered as she denied the fact that she did like Happy. "I don't even know the man. I only met him once." Alyssa continued, emphasizing her point that she had only spoken to him briefly at Gemma's party.

" Look I know you're distancing yourself from the club and Gemma especially after everything you told me that's been happening lately. But I really was hoping that you would come anyways, because this way I wouldn't have to deal with Happy all night."

Tara blew out a breath as she wiped Sabrina's face and hands off as she could tell Alyssa was really desperate to have her there." Fine, I will come with you. But I don't wanna be there for very long though."Tara said as she stood up and pulled Sabrina out of her high chair.

Alyssa nodded her head. "We'll only be there for a couple of hours," she said as she also got up from the table and turned around, grabbing her purse before walking out of the kitchen and down the hallway to find her kids.

Walking into the clubhouse with Tara, Alyssa looked around and noticed how packed the place was. She then looked over at the bar and noticed Ratboy was behind the bar serving drinks. Alyssa leaned towards Tara so she could speak over the loud music that had been blaring since they pulled in. "I'm gonna go get a drink," she said, pointing over to the bar.

Tara nods her head as she followed Alyssa towards the bar. If Tara is gonna be around these people tonight she's definitely going to need a drink. A strong one to be exact. Cutting through the crowd of people in the clubhouse Her and Alyssa made it towards the bar.

" What are you girls drinking tonight?" Ratboy asked as he noticed Alyssa and Tara taking a seat at the bar.

" I'll take a beer." Alyssa answered as she looked over at Tara, what are you drinking?"

" Got anything stronger?" Tara asked Ratboy as she set her purse down on the table.

Ratboy nods his head as he placed an open beer in front of Alyssa." I think we got something." He answered as he looked under the bar and found a bottle of whiskey." would this do?"

Tara nodded her head. "Pour me a glass and leave the bottle," Tara ordered Ratboy as she sighed heavily. It hadn't even been five minutes, and Tara really wished that she didn't have to be there tonight.

Once Ratboy walked away from the girls to serve other Patrons Alyssa looked over at Tara." I know you don't wanna be here, but can you at least try act like you're gonna have fun?" Alyssa asked as she took a drink of her beer as she looked around the clubhouse. She then noticed Jax sitting at one of the tables.

Alyssa said, "I see Jax over there," as she pointed him out to Tara.

Tara looked over her shoulder and saw Jax sitting at one of the tables. Luckily, he was sitting with the guys and so far she hadn't caught sight of any Crow Eaters sitting on his lap. "Well, at least he's behaving himself," she said with a shrug as she took a drink of her whiskey.

" Are you gonna go talk to him?"

" I thought you needed me." Tara answered as she raised her brow.

" Yeah, if Happy was around I do, but I haven't seen Happy, since we walked in. I think I'm good. Go talk and spend some time with your husband." Alyssa said with a nod and a wink.

Tara sighs as she nods her head as she got up from the bar." Well just in case you do need me to rescue you. You know were to find me." Tara said as she grabbed her drink along with the bottle as she walked towards Jax.

Alyssa chuckled lightly as she watches Tara walk away. As Alyssa was about to take another drink of her beer, she felt her cell viberating in her pocket. Pulling it out and as she open her cell, she noticed she gotten a text message from Brian. Rolling her eyes Alyssa shut her cell off without even reading the text.

" Avoiding someone?" Happy asked as soon as he sat down beside Alyssa by the bar.

Alyssa shrugs her shoulders." Maybe." She answered as she took a drink of her beer." I was kinda hoping to avoid you." She said sarcastically even though she meant it. " Is there a reason why you asked me to be here tonight?"

" No reason. I just thought maybe you wanted to hang out."

Alyssa snorts as she shook her head." couldn't find anyone else to hang out with tonight?" She asked with a smirk as she couldn't help but tease him a little.

Happy leans closer as he pressed his lips against her ear." Trust me little girl, I could always find someone to hang out with. But I would rather hanging out with you."He whispers against her ear. Of course there's plenty of women he could choose at this party he can choose from but instead he's sitting at this bar with Alyssa.

Feeling his breath tickling against her neck and his hearing his voice against her ear, suddenly sent chills down her spine and she could feel her face getting red like some teenage school girl. Swallowing the sudden lump down her throat as she clears it." What is this really about?"

" mind if we go somewhere little more quiet so we can talk?"

Alyssa shrugged her shoulders as she took another drink of her beer. "Sure, it's better than sitting out here and feeling awkward. I will follow you." She said getting up from the bar stool, making Happy step back a little.

Happy nodded his head. "Come on," he said as he led her down the hall toward the back of the clubhouse, where the other rooms were.

Following Happy towards the back of the clubhouse, Alyssa noticed the panhead on display. "Is this Jax's dad's bike?" She asked, sort of remembering seeing JT riding it around town back when she was a kid.

" You knew JT?"

Of course, I was born and raised here. I even remember going to the funeral with Tara and Jax. She answered as she walked away from the bike and followed Happy into his dorm room. As she walked further into the room, she noticed how clean and neat everything was - not to mention his bed was also made. If Alyssa didn't know better, this guy was a neat freak, which is totally opposite from Brian as well.

So, now that we're away from the noise and everyone else, what did you want to talk about? Alyssa asked as she set her beer down on his desk and leaned against it.

Happy replied, "I want us to finish our conversation from this morning." He was eager to get to the point.

Alyssa shrugged her shoulders. "What conversation?" she asked, feigning ignorance.

"Are you really going to act like you have no clue what I'm talking about? I'm talking about the bruises that were on your face and why you would lie about it by saying it was nothing."

Because it was nothing, is this why you asked me to come here? Alyssa scoffed as she shook her head. "I told you to let this go. Why do you even care?" She asked as she shrugged her shoulders.

Happy walked up to her as he gripped her chin with his hand, lifting her face up, looking into her eyes. "Because when I see a woman with bruises on her face, it really pisses me off more than anything. No woman deserves to have the shit beat out of her, and that night when I saw your face, I knew I had to do something and I couldn't let this go."

"You barely know me," Alyssa said softly.

Happy smirks slightly as he shrugs his shoulders." Does it matter?"

Alyssa shrugged her shoulders again. "I guess not," she answered as her eyes dropped down towards his lips, feeling how close their faces were to each other. Their lips were barely touching each other. Alyssa took a deep breath as she felt her heart beating faster against her chest. A part of her wanted to kiss and taste his lips against hers. Hell, she had wanted to since the night she met him, but she knew how wrong it was for her to even kiss another man, considering she was still married.

Alyssa clears her throat as she pulls away from his grip and grabs her beer." Are we done?"

Happy dropped his hand and nodded his head. "Yeah, we're done."

Alyssa nodded her head. "I will see you out there." She said as she walked past him and opened the door, stepping out into the hallway. Closing the door behind her, Alyssa took a deep breath to calm her racing heart before heading back to the bar for another beer - or perhaps some of Tara's whiskey, if Tara hadn't drunk it all.

Happy could feel the sexual tension between him and Alyssa, and she was so close to him that whatever perfume she was wearing was invading his senses. It was intoxicating. Happy was very close to lifting Alyssa up and laying her down on his bed with her legs wrapped around him. But instead, he let her go and watched her walk out of his room.

"Fuck, I need a drink or a crow eater. Maybe both," he muttered to himself as he walked out of his dorm and headed back to the party to grab something from the bar and a crow eater. He needed a distraction and his mind off of Alyssa.
