Chapter Two
Soon everyone was standing up on deck and in a line as Sonic walked up and down while looking serious at his friends.
"Tails is my first mate so that position has gone, Knuckles and Blaze are on kitchen duty, Amy and Cream are look out on the crows nest, Omega will be in charge of firepower and of any prisoners we might get, Rouge is navigator…so that leaves Shadow and Silver as maintenance crew. There is a proper name for it but I can't remember what it is called but you both will be responsible in swabbing the decks and keeping the equipment in tip top shape." Sonic announced with a happy smile on his face, happy with his job choices he made for his friends.
"Right get changed because we set sail in an hour, that's when the tide come in and my ship will be fully on the waters surface." Sonic said then walked away leaving his crew to do as instructed.
By the end of that hour everyone was geared up in their pirate outfits and had taken their position on the ship. Soon enough the ship was fully in the water and slowly being led further out to sea, thanks to some help from Silver and his telekinesis powers. Sonic was at the ships wheel with Tails standing next to him. Rouge was given a map and compose and was standing in front of a table near Sonic and Tails, looking at both map and compose with a concentrated expression.
Knuckles and Blaze were in the kitchen and looking puzzled at what to do as they both didn't do much cooking in a kitchen. Amy and Cream were up on the crows nest looking out to sea while chatting with each other about shopping and other things they were interesting in. Omega was going back and forth where the cannons were placed, making sure they were loaded just in case they needed them and secured in place. Finally Silver was happily mopping the deck with Shadow standing near him with crossed arms as he refused to lower himself to being a skivvy, he was no ones servant boy.
"Shadow if you don't do your duty Captain Sonic isn't going to be happy. He's the captain after all and can do anything he wishes to you." Silver muttered as he glanced at the Ultimate Lifeform not working.
"I would love to see Captain Faker try and do something to me." Shadow growled as he turned his head to look away from Silver.
"Fine but don't say I didn't warn you." Silver sighed then carried on working.
"Oh look down there Sonic, Shadow isn't doing his job." Rouge grinned as she stood beside Sonic at the wheel and pointed down at the dark hedgehog standing with crossed arms.
"Had a feeling he will be difficult…first mate Tails, take the wheel. I need to have a few privet words with Shadow." Sonic seriously said with a frown down at Shadow.
"I don't think that is a very good idea Sonic, Shadow will throw you over board." Tails nervously said as he took the wheel anyhow.
"Captain, Tails I'm your captain. He wouldn't dare do that or I will lock him up and have Omega stand guard for three days." Sonic said with a slightly devious grin then walked over to the stairs and descended down them.
"Is he forgetting Shadow can just chaos control out?" Rouge whispered in Tails ear and receiving a shrug from the fox.
"Oh shit Shadow, Captain Sonic is heading this way and he doesn't look happy with you." Silver whispered as he looked at Shadow who only shrugged indifferently.
"So Shadow, refuse to do as I tell you eh?" Sonic said with a very unhappy tone and stood in front of Shadow with crossed arms.
"Yeah and what are you going to do about it Faker? Lock me away because we both know I will not stay put." Shadow smirked a little darkly as he looked at Sonic directly in the eyes.
"Silver go to the other end of the ship and mop there, I need to have a chat with Shadow alone." Sonic ordered as he never looked away from Shadow.
"Yes Captain." Silver said with a salute then used his telekinesis to lift the bucket up then walked away with it while holding the mop in one hand.
"Now Shadow I suggest you do as I say and mop the decks, if you don't then a certain someone is going to open their mouth and say your deepest most darkest secret. You wouldn't want that happening would you?" Sonic said as he grinned a little evilly at Shadows wide eyes.
"Y-you wouldn't dare." Shadow growled as he composed himself a little but was getting very anxious.
"Oh I would Shads, I would. Now get mopping and I want the desk so clean I can eat my supper off it." Sonic said with a dark chuckle as he watched Shadow quickly grab the mop and dunk it in his bucket full of soapy water.
"You are diabolical Faker." Shadow muttered as he finally began his duty in cleaning the wooden floors to the ship.
"Well I am a pirate captain Shads so I need to play the part. I'll make it up to you tonight." Sonic smiled innocently at Shadow then turned and went to reclaim his post.
