Chapter Nine

The two made it to the kitchen and both were frowning as there was a lot of cleaning to do. Shadow sighed and gave Mephiles his orders to start washing up the used items that were piled up by, and in, the sink as he got to work in washing down the stove, sides and sweep the floor before mopping it. Shadow knew the oven was used by the old cooks but planned to do that last for he could see through the glass door it was going to be a big job, well just about see as there were splashes of burnt green slop from yesterdays abandoned supper, so he assumed anyway.

"I swear soup is supposed to be made on the stove and not put in an oven. I am so damn glad I am now chef." Shadow thought as he got started in washing down the stove.

Forty-five minutes later…

Up on the deck everyone was at their posts and feeling a little bored as there was nothing but sea all around. It was chilly as the salt winds blew about but that was good for the sails. Amy and Cream were shivering as they huddled together with a large thick blanket shared between them both while they looked out.

"Th-this is b-boring." Amy shivered as she tried to get warm.

"Y-yeah and c-cold too. I w-want to g-go home." Cream complained with a teary expression.

"Right l-lets go down and g-get a hot drink. I'm sure Sh-Shadow will make us one." Amy suggested with a smile then helped Cream to get down.

"And where are you both going?" Blaze asked as she and Eclipse walked over to the hedgehog and rabbit when the two reached the ships deck, stopping right in front of the two girls.

"We are too cold and need a hot drink." Amy said with an angered look in her eyes, hugging her friend to keep her warm.

"Captain Faker! Oh wow my brother is really rubbing off on me, I mean Captain Sonic. You are needed over here!" Eclipse called out then corrected himself with an amused tone as he had managed to get Sonics attention from the other side of the ship.

"Did you have to shout?" Amy complained as all covered their ears from the loud voice of Eclipse.

"Well yeah or he wouldn't have heard me." Eclipse chuckled as he thought that was obvious.

"What's up, hey how come you both aren't at your posts?" Sonic asked after zooming over to the commotion on his ship.

"It is too cold Captain Sonic and we need a hot drink to warm up." Cream said as she shivered under the blanker Amy gave her all of.

"Oh right sure, just ask Shads to make you both one but watch out for Mephiles, he's in the kitchen with Shadow now." Sonic grinned with a cheerful voice as he granted the girls requests then looked at Eclipse with a playful one adding, "can I have a word with you in privet? We can talk while we do look out duty until the girls get back."

"Erm sure." Eclipse raised a brow as he was a little unsure then grabbed Sonics arms and teleported to the crows nest.

"Ok I know you and Shadow have this freaky Black Arms link thing and I wanna know something." Sonic said with amusement in his tone as he looked at a nervous Eclipse.

"Yeah and that would be?" Eclipse asked as he hoped he wasn't going to be asked something about Shadow on a personal level because he knows damn well he will answer just to piss his brother off which will end badly for him.

"I wanna know if Shadow enjoyed himself last night. You know how Shads can be and he doesn't voice his enjoyment very well. I wanna know what he liked best and what he didn't like so much." Sonic grinned a little deviously as he locked eyes with a dumbfounded Eclipse.

"You want to know if my brother enjoyed the sex you and he did last night and this morning?" Eclipse asked as he slowly began to smirk, knowing exactly how much Shadow loved the activity with Sonic.

"Yeah and do not leave out anything, I might repeat some of the more pleasurable actions on him tonight." Sonic winked with eagerness to know.

On deck…

"Knuckles I don't think that is supposed to look like that. The knot is on the bulky side and not as tight looking as the others." Silver said with a nervous expression as he and Knuckles were making sure the rope holding the sails up were secured properly, they happened to find one that was not.

"It looks fine Silver so stop worrying and follow me to check the rest." Knuckles rolled his eyes then led the way to the other side of the sail ropes.

"Erm Knuckles!" Silver called out as the red one began to walk, noticing the knot slipping undone a little.

"Silver it is fine now get a move on!" Knuckles called back with high annoyance as he kept walking.

Silver sighed and ran to catch up with Knuckles and just did as he was told, he can always use that to get out of trouble with Captain Sonic after all.
