Chapter 1

Addison and Derek were walking inside the campus of their school, they were reminiscing the times that they had fun in each corner of the place. When they reached the soccer field, Addison sat on the bench which was facing the field, Derek followed her.

"Remember this place?" She asked Derek.

"Of course, how could I forget this place? We first met here." Derek said smiling, reminiscing the days when they met.

"You were really good that day you know, I remember the girls saying you're the hottie newbie, with your raven hair, bluest eyes I've ever seen, and your dreamy smile."

"Hottie newbie eh? Well, to tell you the truth, the guys told me that there was this girl that was looking, no, staring at me for kind of a long time. Then I found out it was you, a beautiful, tall redhead. I kind of showed off that day to you." Derek said.

"I know. The next days of your practice, you weren't playing well."

"After the practice, I immediately ran here just to meet you." Derek looked at Addison.

"You were really pretty that day you know, I kind of liked you, but look at us now, were the best of friends." Derek looked away and forced a fake smile.

"Yeah." Addison looked at Derek and thought, 'Friends. What would have happened if we haven't seen each other that day? Would we still be friends, will you like me?' Then Addison stood up and started walking again and signaled Derek to follow her.

Before standing up, he looked at her walk away. 'What if I asked you to be my girlfriend back then? Would we still be together? Or are we better of as friends?' Then he stood up and followed Addison.

They were now at the entrance of the school.

"We met here 4 years ago as strangers and we're leaving it as best friends," Addison said.

"We won't see each other now huh? I'm going to miss you, pal." Derek said as he wrapped Addison around his arms. Addison looked at him.

"I'm gonna miss you too Der." After that, they went home

Graduation day.

Derek's parents and Addison's mom were sitting beside each other. After the ceremony, the two came to their parents.

"Congratulations Derek! I'm proud of you my son." Katherine said as she hugged him, then the Shepherds family went closer to the Montgomery's.

"Addie honey," Katherine called Addison who just broke off her hug with her mom. Addison and her mom went to them.

"Congratulations Addison ." Katherine and Michael said.

"Oh, thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Shepherd." Addison thanked them as Mrs. Shepherd hugged her.

"We graduated finally," Derek said to Addison.

"Yeah," Addison said. "After those long hours of lectures. It finally paid off."

"How about we have dinner later Derek ?" Michael asked Addison's mom. Bizzy looked at her daughter Addison, and she nodded.

"Sure."

During their dinner.

Addison and Derek sat beside each other, they were too close and serving food to each other's plates while talking and laughing. Then started to talk.

"Derek, honey, why don't you just ask Addie for a date."

Then Derek looked at her mom. "Huh?"

"I mean, why don't you two just start dating."

"That's right. I wouldn't mind if Addie here will be a part of our family. I see her as my daughter now." Michael said.

"Mom, Dad, you know that it's not like that," Derek said to his parents. While they were talking, Addison started to move away little by little.

"I'm sure Beatrice is all right with that?" Katherine asked Bizzy.

Bizzy looked at her daughter who was looking down. "It's okay, but the two of them have to decide on this." Bizzy smiled at them.

"Of course!" Michael said.

"Addie and I are the best of friends. It will be awkward for us to be a couple." Derek said. 'But how I wish we do become one.' He thought as he looked at his food.

Addison looked at Derek then look at his parents and just smiled awkwardly. 'It's like that huh? Yeah, just talking about it feels awkward.' Addison thought.

"You can always try!" Katherine insisted.

3 days after the dinner.

Addison was standing outside a huge building waiting for Derek to come out. A few minutes later, the doors opened and Addison saw a happy Derek running towards her.

Derek couldn't hide his joy as he hugged Addison and carried her. He spun her a few times and let her down. He hugged her tight.

"Addie. I-I made it." He said as he tightened his hug more. "I'm going to debut soon." Addison smiled as she rubbed Derek's back.

Derek let go of their hug and held Addison's shoulders while looking into her eyes. "Thank you."

"Congratulations Der!" Addison said. "I'm happy for you. I guess we won't see each other that often huh? You'll be busy being a star."

"I'll always find time to meet my friends, especially you buddy," Derek said.

After that, Derek held Addison's hand and pulled her. They were walking hand in hand. "Let's go celebrate," Derek said still walking and not looking at her.

Addison was shocked by what Derek was doing, he did this holding her hand thing before but while they are walking side by side, he'd let her hand off, but now, they'd been walking for a long time and he still doesn't let go.

She looked at their hands then at Derek. 'What are you doing Derek? You're not supposed to be like this, but... but I like it.' She thought as they were waiting at the bus stop. Addison couldn't hide her joy as she smiled.

Derek looked at her friend and he saw the smile on her face. Derek smiled as well and held Addison's hand tighter. 'How I wish I could hold this hand forever.' Derek thought.

While they were celebrating with some friends in a bar.

Addison was busy talking to their friends, while the one who was celebrating was with other people.

Addison looked around for Derek, she found him sitting in a dark area and two girls were around his arms. The girls were flirting with the super-drunk Derek Shepherd.

Addison turned around and made her way back to their friends. She started to drink more until she got a little drunk.

After a few hours. Addison went to the washroom. When she got out, she looked at her watch and it was already 1 midnight.

She looked for Derek because she didn't bring her car. After all, Derek said he'll bring her home.

She walked to the place where he found Derek and stood in front of him. The two girls that were flirting with Derek looked at her with their eyebrows up.

"Oh, Addison," Derek said as he stood up, he felt dizzy and held his head.

"Come on, we need to go. Our friends already left." Addison said as she wrapped his arms around her neck so that Derek can walk. "Why are you so heavy."

When they reached Derek's car.

"Where's your keys?" Addison asked Derek but he didn't answer.

"Argh! Why do you have to drink so many when you can't handle it!" Addison said as she looked around for his keys.

She saw his keys on his pants. "Why do you have to put it there!" Addison said as she had no choice but to get it.

She drove off to Derek's apartment.

When they entered his place. She put him down on his bed. "What am I going to do with you?" Addison said while looking at her best friend.

"I like her. No, I think -I think I already loooove her." Derek suddenly said.

Addison couldn't believe what Derek just said, because of her curiosity, she asked the talking Derek. "Who is she?"

Derek turned around. "The pretty girl. She's the only pretty girl in our school."

"What am I doing? He's drunk, but, drunk people always tell the truth." Addison just shrugged it off. She saw Derek sweating so much.

"Why do I have to do this?" Addison looked up.

She started to take off Derek's shirt. 'You're so heavy yet you're not that big.' Addison thought while taking his shirt off.

Addison started to get sweaty too so she went to the bathroom to wash her face. While rinsing her face, she felt a pair of hands wrapped around her waist.

"Oh, Jesus! You scared the fuck out of me " She turned around and found Derek smiling. "Hey! What are you doing?" Addison tried to take his hand off her.

"Derek, Der. Don't. Do this-" She can't take his hands off her, when she stopped struggling, Derek took that chance to kiss her.

Addison didn't do anything, "Don't do this..." she said while he was kissing her but in the end, she gave up.

A few minutes later, Derek was now carrying Addison to his bed and everything happened there.

The next morning, Addison woke up, when she turned to the other side of the bed, she found a back facing her, a man's back. Her eyes grew large and she immediately rise.

"No..." She looked under the blankets and she wasn't wearing anything. "N-no no no. What have I done," She immediately picked up her clothes everywhere and went to the bathroom. She didn't bother to wake Derek up and just went out of his place.

While she was on her way home, she remembered everything that happened last night. She shook her head at the thought of it.

When Addison was on her way to her room, she saw her mom sleeping on a couch in the living room.

She made her way to her mom and woke her up.

"Mom, Mommy, wake up."

When her mom opened her eyes, she suddenly hugged Addison as soon as she saw her. "Where were you? Why didn't you come home? It's the first time you did this! I was so worried."

"Mom, calm down. Please, I'm here now. You don't need to worry, and- I'm sorry." Addison said then she broke the hug.

She saw her mother tearing up. "Don't cry, Mom," Addison said as she wiped her mother's tears.

"Where have you been?"

"I- I was over Derek's place," Addison said, she couldn't lie to her mom.

Bizzy seems to be a lot of relief. "Ahh. Good thing. I know I can trust Derek." she said. She pulled her daughter up. "Come on, I'm gonna cook breakfast."

"Go ahead. I'll wash up first." Addison said and went to her room.

After washing up, she sat on her bed to dry her hair, then she remembered what happened. "No..."

She saw a picture of her and Derek that was hugging each other. 'Derek. What? You were drunk, and I-I also had a few drinks, but what happened? It's not right, but, it felt good.'

Addison tapped her face. "What are you thinking Addison? You shouldn't think of things like this." Addison said to herself.

When he woke up, he sat up in bed, holding his head. "Why do I have to drink so much."

then when he opened his eyes, he saw a lot of his things on the floor and he even saw his clothes last night, then he remembered what happened.

"No.." he said. He looked under the sheets and saw he wasn't wearing anything. "I didn't... Did I?"

He was thinking of what happened and he's pretty sure something happened last night.

"But .. who did I.." he stopped talking when he saw a familiar bracelet on the floor.

He stood up and picked it up. "No. Addi-Addison." Derek was looking at the bracelet and was shocked, then his blanket fell from the bed, when he picked it up and place it on the bed again, he saw blood on the sheet.

"What?" His eyes grew big.

"I didn't. She's-" he couldn't say a word anymore.

"Addison." He whispered.
