Magicians are a race of youkai that specializes in using magic and they are found almost anywhere. It is also a profession normal humans can pick up on and train to become.

For a human magician to become a youkai magician they have to research magic that can prevent them from their need for food and slow their food. Youkai magicians can also be born naturally or if an object becomes living after being filled up with magic.

To obtain a husband the magicians can do so in many ways such as simply doing it in a normal regular fashion, or showing it in a very passionate sometimes lustful way.

Magicians can be found almost anywhere either mingling with humans in human settlements, or mamanos in their respective environments. Some human magicians joined the Order of the Chief God due to their magical powers, or some would join the Demon Army or the Sabbath.

Both human and youkai magicians' are well adept in using magic be it elemental, celestial, and other forms of magic. Once the human magicians become youkai magicians they don't require a lot to sustain themselves such as water, food, and even men's spirit energy (though it is still pretty good to taste it for some). Though they are partially reliant on some outside sources of magical sources.

Both human and youkai magicians' appearances vary differently. Their physique is either that of a loli or stacked.

The most well known human magician as of now is Marisa Kirisame.

Marisa, also known as the Ordinary Magician, was taught magic and still is by the vengeful spirit, Madam Mima. She is also known for her rather kleptomaniac nature, always stealing or "borrowing" as she puts it from people. One of her more infamous thefts is stealing and copying a powerful move from the infamous mamano, Yuuka Kazami, known as Master Spark. Some of her spells in her arsenal are basically copied versions of the original users.

The most well-known youkai magicians are Alice Margatroid, Patchouli Knowledge, and Byakuren Hijiri.

Alice, also known as the Seven Colored Puppeteer, was originally an alice from the demon realm, Wonderland. Her body and mindset was drastically altered by the miasma of Makai and it caused her body to be able to age, and her personality able to mature normally. The puppeteer is also adopted as a daughter to the goddess/creator of the realm, Shinki. She commonly uses her dolls as combat and rarely uses her full strength in combat, which she can fully use by using her grimoire.

Patchouli is a naturally born youkai magician who inhabits the Voile Library in a mansion called Scarlet Devil Mansion owned by a true vampire named Remilia Scarlet. She is called the Unmoving Library by the residents of the mansion due to her nature of rarely leaving the library. Patchouli also has a familiar named Koakuma who is a devil she summoned from a demon realm and the magician has to deal with several sexual shenanigans due to the devil's lustful nature. Her way of using magic involves elemental control.

Byakuren was originally a Buddhist nun but turned herself into Youkai Magician due to her fear of death after witnessing her brother, Myouren die. She was sealed in Makai by the Order of the Chief God due to the fact she was helping monsters instead of killing them. However, she would be sealed 1,100 years later in the current age of the Demon Lord. She strives to make sure peace between monsters, now known as mamanos, and humans become a reality throughout the world. Her way of using magic involves using it to increase her physical strength.
