Alive and Kicking
"Um… I was just about to leave." Sagi whispered.
"Leave? Really? Nah-We did not think you'd be leaving now? Not after all this time?" The leader chanted as she moved closer to her. The sophomore breathed backed up against the wall of the forest.
The bee bee gun was pressed to her forehead as the seniors watched from afar.
…
Seiya stood in fear. "We need to go to her now." She whispered.
Sagi breathed while the gang leader stared at her. The senior walked to her as the sophomore looked at her and shook her head no.
The leader looked over and smiled in disbelief, releasing the sophomore. The other seniors glared at her, looking at Sagi with fear.
"Just go, I'm fine." The sophomore whispered as tears formed in her eyes.
"You don't get to decide this time." Seiya whispered to her as she glared at the leader. Sagi's eyes went wide in disbelief while the gang leader seemed to smile through the mask.
"Oh, My God… is this your knight in shining armour? The Dyke?"
"Leave her be." The senior hissed as she started to step forward as the gang member flicked her barrel back and looked at her in disbelief.
"Are you stupid?! Is she stupid?! Are you all STUPID?! You must have missed us dearly, we know we missed you!" The leader released her and pointed the bee bee gun at the senior, who paused in her walk. Haruka stood next to her.
Sagi automatically moved in front of the leader, pleading to move the gun away as she shoved her.
"The fucking hell?" The gang leader gawked in disbelief as she moved the gun back at the sophomore's face. The other gang members chuckled in mayhem.
Seiya looked at her in disbelief along with the seniors. Never in her life did she ever think that she would see that girl defend her honor. If she hated them before, she did not so much right now.
The sophomore remained still as she looked at the gang leader, who looked at the senior, making sure that she didn't move.
"Iie! Please, let them go..." Sagi whispered in gang leader narrowed her eyes and pressed the gun to her forehead, pressing the back of her head against the bark of the tree.
"LEAVE HER!" Seiya raise her voice, speaking stronger as the gang leader and her members glared at them.
"She's just a kid, leave her the fuck alone." Haruka hissed.
"Are you… getting in front of me?! In front of my gun?! Gosh, what are they to you?! Huh?! What is she to you? Your lover? She probably fucks your little pussy at night, you must be a little dyke yourself, huh?."
"Makoto-" Sagi whispered as the leader and pressed the gun into her.
"Makoto? How dare you ask about her?! She ain't here to save you!" She snarled in disbelief.
"Don't-" Seiya's hiss was heard.
"Please, let them go. Just take me." Sagi whispered to the gang leader as she grew calm, having the bee bee gun pointed under her chin, pressing into her skin as her head was forced to tilt up a bit. The leader glared into her eyes. She couldn't believe her sister's friend was friends with those bullies. For sure, Makoto would be severely disappointed.
"Get off her!" Seiya shouted.
"SHUT UP! ALL OF YOU!" The gang leader snarled.
"Back off-!" Seiya hissed in anger as the leader pointed the bee bee gun back at her. She pinned Sagi against the wall with her elbow on her neck, making her choke a bit.
"Iie! GET OFF OF HER!" Michiru snapped in anger.
"STOP IT! SHE'S TOO SMALL!" Yaten screamed in anger.
"YOU ARE HURTING HER!" Taiki screamed as they wanted to fight them.
"Iie." The leader calmly spoke as the gang members cracked their knuckles, glaring at the seniors.
"Please…let…" Sagi barely whispered out loud, unable to be heard by the others as the leader smiled at her and grabbed her hair, whispering into her ear. The sophomore breathed as the seniors stared at her, being pinned into a secret with the leader.
Once she was finished, she looked at her.
"Do you comply, yes or no?" The leader whispered to her, staring at the sophomore.
"Please…" Sagi whispered.
"I will shoot you, or I will shoot them better yet. Yes or no?" She whispered to her face as Sagi breathed and nodded swiftly.
"Hai." She whispered in defeat as tears strolled down her cheeks.
"Good Girl." The leader grinned as she sneered back at the seniors.
"I got a proposition for you."
"Give her to us." Seiya spoke in anger as her eyes steeled.
"Listen to me, or I will shoot her."
"Stop being a fucking coward, pick on someone your own size!" Haruka hissed.
"Listen to me…" The leader chanted as the seniors saw her place the bee bee gun back on Sagi's temple, who remained calm.
"I will fuck you up if you harm her in any way. I swear it." Seiya whispered in fear as she glared, seeing the gun at the sophomore.
"Do what you want, of course. We want to make sure you dykes don't bully our sister again. We beat the shit out of you. We were even, until this little rat ratted on us. But she inspired me to play a game. So hear me now. If you comply with our rules, we will never, ever, bother you again, as long as you don't bother our sister again."
Kino sisters smiled. Makoto was absent, but the others had friends to come.
"We won't. There were misunderstandings due to our friend being hurt. But we know we were wrong. We took the beating. We are even. Please, pull the gun away from her face." Seiya demanded.
"Will you hear our proposition, or should I put the bullet in her head? And I won't give a fuck what my sister says of her dear friend."
"I'LL KILL YOU IF YOU HURT HER!" The black haired senior snarled in anger with a voice that scared everyone, turning red in her whole body as she dangerously kept on them. The leader stared at her with her potsies in disbelief, but the senior's venomous look in her eyes cause them to hesitate.
Unexpected. The two of these girls were.
"Hmm… this is interesting." She breathed in suspense, impressed at the older teen and released the gun from the temple of the sophomore, who breathed with relief. Sagi became coherent and briefly looked over at Kou, never seeing her filled with venom as well as the others.
No matter what happens, at least they seem to be on the same side. Sagi felt dizzy a bit, but held strong. Now was the time to conch out. She was soothed by the leader on her head.
"There there." The gang leader cooed like a mother hen. How creepy was that?
"Speak." Haruka demanded as the leader smiled.
"Very well. I want you, and that cocky fellow bitch next to you, to fight my girls. Or there will be consequences."
Sagi breathed as the seniors near her mocked them.
"Beat all of you? Or you will beat us to death?" Seiya sneered.
"Easy." Kino said.
"Hai. We can take you." Haruka said as she cracked her fists with her best friends.
"Just the two of you though."
"Are you afraid of us?" Michiru spoke as the women smiled.
"I love my theatrics."
"Surely. Cowardly." Taiki said.
"Two of you. We will leave all of you."
"Funny." Yaten snorted.
"Of course, if you win, we will honor my word. I am a woman of my word. So are they?"
"And if we lose?"
"If you lose-"
"You will beat the shit out of us." Michiru said complacently.
"Iie…" The leader frowned in disapproval.
"Oh." Taiki inquired as she smiled.
"We'll hold all of you down as you watch, but Iie." The leader said defiantly.
"Let's hear your brilliant plan." Yaten mocked.
"Funny. Here is how it will go. If you LOSE, I am going to BEAT THE LIVING HOLY HELL… out of her."
She pointed to Sagi as the seniors looked at her and frown.
"The fuck-" Seiya said as she was cut off.
"Ah ah. The agreement. Two of you. You win, we will all leave you alone, all of you alone for life. You lose, I am going to beat the living holy hell out of her."
"Why the fuck do you want to touch her?!" Haruka hissed in anger.
The leader looked at Sagi and smiled.
"We have nothing against you. You are a smart girl. Answer for them."
Sagi breathed and softly spoke, but loud enough for others to hear.
"Because I ratted out on all of you."
"Because you ratted out on all of us." The leader nodded in a confident voice, pointing at the side of the gun near her face but not at her face due to Kou, who glared at her. "And it was not your business to do so, am I right?"
"Hai."
"Good. Smart girl she is. She agreed to the terms before you interloped. You both win, I will leave all of you alone. Including her."
"Leave her the fuck alone." Michiru snarled.
"Nah-ah. We already did you guys. Those two cocky bitches of yours fights us until our group is down. We will leave you alone should you win. We win, just know, I am going to beat the living holy hell out of her. And we will hold all of you down as you watch." She took out a gun as they were apprehensive in fear. Sagi was calm as the leader looked at her. She beckoned the gang members, who stepped up to them and took Sagi by the arms. The five seniors started to move but the gang leader clicked her gun up.
"She will be safe." She walked up to a bent tree near the ground and climbed up on it. She sat down and pointed the gun at her gang members towards Sagi. The gang members moved her to the leader.
"You. Be my guest, and sit next to me."
Sagi was released, almost tripping as the gang members released her and cracked their knuckles. Seiya moved to intercept her. The leader clicked her gun, making them both freeze.
"I am not touching her now! She is going to sit next to me as my guest, and watch you two. Women of my word. What's your name?" She pointed the gun at Sagi, who breathed.
"Yurenkasykuya, S-"
"I don't need your life story. Yurenkasykuya San. Be my guest. Sit by me. If they win, I will leave you alone. If they lose, nothing personal, I will beat the living holy hell out of you. Please, be my guest."
The sophomore breathed, remaining silent, and moved towards the bent tree. She climbed up, her skirt lifting a bit and carefully sat next to Kino, who looked at her with pride.
Seiya had fear in her eyes along with the others.
Sagi calmly breathed as no fear showed in her eyes. The leader smiled at her. She moved to her and sat down. Seiya glared at the leader as Haruka went cold. Michiru breathed as she stared at Sagi. Taiki and Yaten glared at the other women surrounding the two.
The gang leader stared at the girl next to her.
"You show no fear in the eyes of danger. I admire that. Now, you'll take a beating today for all of them today, got fucked by them the moment you ratted out on us. But now, these two dykes, want to fight for you now. You are going to get beat up, by me, because of all of them, should they lose and fail you. Say thank you to them."
The seniors looked at the sophomore as she remained calm.
"Arigatou Gozaimasu." Sagi whispered in a deadpan demeanor without looking at anyone.
"Good. Alright?" The leader placed her gun away and clapped her hands. The sophomore finally got the courage to look at the seniors, who looked at her with determination.
"Let the games begin." The leader chanted.
…
Sagi breathed, retaining a calm demeanor but shaking with fear inside. She felt like throwing up. Nothing compared to the fear of this moment, even with Rhett Butler, and that crushed her heart. But due to her actions today, Kou, who looked back at her with those piercing midnight sapphire blue eyes, was fighting for her with her best friend, all for her, and that caused her tears to well in her eyes.
Tenouh briefly looked at her, and Sagi could have sworn she caught a ghost of a smirk on the sandy blonde senior's lips before she saw her expression dropped, prepping for battle once those sky blue eyes landed on the leader, then the gang members, who looked menacing. She saw the sandy blonde crack her knuckles, ready for war.
Seiya looked at her, seeing the wounds of remorse and pain welling in those haunting eyes, and breathed as she clenched her fists. Whatever the drift may have been present between them and this girl in front of her, didn't matter anymore now. This time, she knew, the six of them were all on the same side, even if it was only for now. This girl cared for them, no matter any future denials, she cared for them. She truly cared. That warmed her heart. Nothing mattered. She and Haruka had to win.
The sophomore halted with a soft gasp in her breath as she saw the black haired senior secretly winked at her, which caused her heart to palpitate, before she saw those eyes hardened once it landed on the gang leader and then the gang members they were about to go to war with. She looked so dangerous.
The senior never looked dangerous as she did now.
Sagi breathed, and allowed herself to briefly look at the other three seniors, who were held off by gang members. Their eyes remained on their two best friends.
She looked back at Kou and was startled by the gang leader next to her, whispering secretly only to her.
"Yeah. Not sure what happened from the last time we saw you, little one, considering they were enemies with you, I find it odd that they would fight for you, which is why I want to see how far they will go because I'm curious, but I do know my sister will not be happy to see you like this. It's a shame..."
Sagi was about to ask what she meant when the leader clapped her hands and the gang yelled and moved to fight the teenagers.
She held her breath as Haruka dodged a swing and landed a punch on a gang member's gut.
Seiya turned, blocking an attack from behind as she breathed and punched another gang member in the face.
Gang members were not happy, cursing and snarling before they cut loose and managed to get some hits. This fight, everyone knew, was going to get ugly.
Seiya remembered being attacked from last time with these gang members. She felt Haruka's back behind her, back to back, as they breathed and waited. They covered whatever blindspots would make them falter as it did last time. No surprises. Even if there is harm, they would see it coming. That is something they learned when they were homeschooled during their suspension.
More attacks came, her eyes blurred as she hated violence. They took hits as they viciously hit back. Multitudes would try to grab their arms, but their kicks managed to sidetrack the women in the ribs. Her tears were hot as it trailed down her cheeks. It was frightening. Her heart palpated, unaware of who had the upper hand. It made her have flashes to when she was beat up. She tried to remain focused.
The three best friends watched in silence. Even though there were twenty gang members, they, in reality, were not the best fighters. They relied too much on each other. The seniors looked over a few times, at the leader, who leaned forward, watching the fight in disbelief. She was probably embarrassed that those women were unable to defend themselves. They were great at offense, but terrible at defense as they depended too much on each other. In that sense, Seiya and Haruka had a chance. And they knew it.
Their eyes briefly went the sophomore, who look deathly pale as her eyes were red. She didn't look so well, like she wanted to faint. The seniors didn't blame her. Their two best friends were taking a good beating from twenty because the outcome of their fight made her life dependent on it. What a predicament. Neither of them were sure what the sophomore was feeling at the irony of having her honor defended. It was not only a few months ago, that regrettably, they have attacked her, with so much regret.
Sagi felt nauseous as she turned and puked a bit over the rocks, away from the view of the fight.
"Gross." The leader whispered as she moved away a bit.
The sophomore felt her heart pounding, as fists were heard pounding on skin. She prayed hard to the Goddess, she didn't care if she was beat up. She just wanted it to be over.
A feeling the wind swirl on her face a bit. A napkin appeared before her face. With surprise at the hospitality from the fingerless gloved hand of her soon to be tormentor, she took it and dabbed her lips.
"Arigatou Gozaimasu." Sagi whispered as she breathed.
"Uh-huh." The leader sighed as her eyes narrowed at the onlooking seniors on the side, watching the young teen.
"She is fine. Don't concern yourself."
The seniors glared but said nothing.
Sagi was still hunched over, breathed and turned, keeping her eyes down, refusing to look at the fight, which was was dying down as time passed. Accepting her fate. she breathed in stillness.
Please let it be over so they may leave safely.
Both seniors, along with bruises and cuts on their faces and arms, were getting tired, but still managed to swing repeatedly hard. The women were getting tired too, also having bruises on cuts on their faces, and most certainly, on their clothed arms.
Thought of Sagi ran in their heads, especially one. Anger grew in their eyes as they went all out.
Sagi's tears ran down as she shut her eyes, breathing, heart palpitating. She heard shouts and cheers, and even felt footsteps running towards the fight. Several bodies were heard being knocked down.
"ENOUGH. GAME OVER."
...
The leader stood tall, watching the two older teenagers, glaring back at her. Everyone held their breath.
"Game over." The leader stated.
The sophomore breathed, finally, she grew calm.
"They, really care about you, darling." She whispered in disbelief, looking at her gun, causing her to open her eyes in shock. She looked around, and noticed gang members, most of them, crawling on the floor. She shuddered as her eyes trailed up to the black haired beauty and the sandy blonde beauty, who had cuts and bruises, but remained standing. The sophomore breathed in disbelief as tears ran down her cheeks.
They won?
"Your agreement." Seiya breathed in a warning, blood dripping from her nose as she wiped her mouth. Her eyes were bruised.
"Oh. Hai. Woman of my word. The others too."
"And you leave us alone for life. All of us." Haruka hissed, lips cut, bleeding as her forehead bled and her eyes were bruised.
The leader looked at them and then her women, who looked at her, embarrassed. She breathed as she looked back at her winners.
"Hai.I give you my word. So long as you leave our sister alone, we are even."
"It's done then. Forever." Taiki hissed.
"Done. Forever."
"We never see you again, agreed?" Yaten snapped in anger.
"Never again. All of us swear."
"Let her go." Michiru snarled. The women looked in confusion until the woman smiled.
"Oh right." The leader seemed like she forgotten and looked at the sophomore and smiled. Sagi had tears in her eyes. "What do you say to me?"
"Arigatou Gozaimasu."
"Doushimashite. You are so kawaii. Don't ever rat out on us again. For anything. Not that there will be. You got your scare today." She looked at the two and the four.
"We will never see any of you dykes again…" She paused in thought as she looked over at Sagi in curiosity.
The seniors watched the leader remaining silent, ready to go after her if she went back on her word, as her gaze kept on Sagi, unsettling them.
"You… might turn her into one too the longer she hangs with yous... who knows. You are free to go baby." Sagi breathed as the leader stared at her. Believing she was free, she slowly got up. "I'll just tell my sister you got corrupted, but whatever." She waved her gun and placed it in her holster.
Corrupted? What did she mean by that?
Sagi swallowed and slowly got down the rocks. The women looked at her as she walked down the steps, passing them and managed to go back to where the seniors were. They moved in front of her as they glared at the women. Taiki cracked her knuckles along with Yaten. Michiru rolled up her sleeves.
"Women of our word. Go." The leader got up and went down the steps. She smiled as she and the women followed her out. They sneered and let them be.
"For life!" Michiru hissed.
"Hai! Hai you fucking dykes, we promised, leave our sister alone!" The leader chanted with a wave of her hand as the women walked into the distance.
…
After the women left them alone, Michiru ran up to Haruka and kissed her bloodied lips. Taiki and Yaten moved to Seiya, who wiped her bloody nose, and embraced her tightly.
The senior, out of breath, saw the sophomore facing away from them.
Holding guilt, Sagi turned to face where they came from. The seniors looked over at her as she turned her head a bit to speak, not turning completely to look at them.
"I'll buy your ramen… if you're hungry." Her voice wavered in a whisper. She walked ahead, slowly.
"Hai." Seiya whispered confidently, her eyes were bruised as her nose bled. She wiped it off with her arm as she swiftly moved next to her. The others apprehensively followed.
…
Sagi walked as she softly cried, but held herself in silence.
Seiya breathed as she held her nose with a napkin.
"Here?" Yaten breathed as the others shrugged their shoulders. Sagi almost
forgot and breathed and looked at Seiya.
"Is this what you guys want? I will get it for you." She shook in a whisper.
"Hai. You guys go ahead inside. Give us a moment." Seiya said to the others.
The others looked at them and nodded in silence as they moved inside to get a table.
Seiya tossed the napkin to the side as she cupped Sagi's' face who shuddered in fear.
"Daijabou." She whispered as Sagi looked at her with red eyes.
"I should be asking you."
"Relax. We are not dead, none of us are at least." Seiya whispered and pursed her lips as the sophomore breathed and said nothing.
Softly she released her skin as she nodded her head to the door.
To say sitting at the table was beyond awkward. Rhett Butler died. The girls' pretty much attacked them, even though they put up a good fight, and subconsciously, she felt it was all her fault.
Never has she felt so much guilt in her entire life while she paid for their food, especially for people she did not really want to care for as much. She had nothing against them. It's just in the prior past few weeks, she wanted nothing to do with them.
Halloween was approaching, but neither of them felt any festivity in any kind of horror.
Sagi excused herself to the bathroom. She shut her eyes as the adults outside stared at the girls.
"What the heck happened to you gals?"
"Nani? Oh, we were playing basketball with the boys." Seiya chanted.
"Hai. We won." Haruka said with a smile.
"Girls should not be playing harsh sports. That is how you get hurt. Leave that to the boys, right?!" The old woman chanted.
"Eh… going to sit down now, Arigatou Gozaimasu." Taiki gave them a tight smile and frowned the moment she turned. Michiru rolled her eyes as Yaten sat down and sighed.
"You know, if that cat wasn't-." She said.
"I know. Just…" Haruka held herself as Seiya sighed.
"Listen, she lost her stupid cat. She hates us, we saved her, and she can't do anything but not hate us."
"She's probably wondering how to get out of not hating us." Taiki whispered in a sigh.
"She stepped in front of the bee bee gun for me." Seiya said in defense.
"Yeah, for you."
"She did tell us to leave her alone." Haruka whispered in a sigh.
"I'm glad she is safe." Michiru whispered with a smile.
"Just wish she..." Yaten chanted and shut her eyes in defeat.
"Hai, lucky thing we are not bad. She may hate us, but at least she treated us to food." Taiki sighed.
"Out of guilt." Michiru breathed and touched her girlfriend's hand as Haruka nodded.
Seiya contemplated that it probably was true, but she wanted to give her one more chance.
Somewhat…Through the cracked door of the bathroom, Sagi overheard them as she looked at herself in the mirror.
This was her fault. Even though she meant to save Rhett Butler, she did chase him into the street, he got killed, and they got harmed somehow, and put herself and them in danger. Yet, she was saved by them.
Again.
The Goddess must be laughing at her right now as she shut her eyes. This was going to be the most awkward dinner. And she couldn't find it in herself to eat. She was afraid to. Part of it was their history, their present, and their possible future.
The other part of it, was that she felt awkward with how she looked next to them.
Her stomach hurt as the thought of Rhett Butler and started to cry as she shut her eyes and sat on the floor of the bathroom.
The girls ate in silence as the sophomore has yet to come out of the bathroom. Two guys moved to the old couple.
"Eh… Sumimasen. Someone's been in there for a long time, we really need to go."
"Ah! Daijabou. Okay."
The old woman moved the bathroom door and banged on it.
"OY! People need to do their business, come on out now! You've been there long enough!"
Seiya munched on her food as she stared with the others. The old lady pursed her lips and opened the door knob with the key. Pulling it open, she saw a sight that made the guys gasp.
"Nani-daijabou." One guy whispered in tenderness.
"You need help?" His friend asked.
Seiya stopped eating as the old lady moved inside the bathroom.
"Daijabou." The old lady was heard whispering.
The young teen cried hard in silence on the floor.
The old man sighed as he saw the scenario.
"Nani?! What is this?! A pretty girl like you crying! Bah! Common, eat our food, you'll feel better."
"Did you lose a pet or something?" The guy said as the girls frowned.
Seiya got up and moved to the bathroom, seeing the old lady pulling Sagi off the floor, who had her eyes shut as her hands covered her face.
"Pretty girl like you should not cry!" The old man chanted as the old lady hugged her tightly.
"Daijabou, daijabou. Get her watermelon soda. On the house. There, there…"
The old lady sat the girl down on a stool near the counter as she soothed her back. The guys stared as the old man snarled.
"Go to bathroom!" He yelled.
"Oh! Hai!" They bowed and moved inside.
Haruka looked at her with Michiru as Yaten felt bad. Taiki watched and then averted her eyes. She wanted to help but did not know what to do to help.
Seiya moved to the old lady and acknowledged her as she beckoned the young teen to her. The old lady smiled and moved Sagi from her arms to her, who kept her hands to her eyes as she was held close to the older teen, continuing to cry, though not as much as before.
"You need to eat something." The senior whispered.
Sagi opened her red eyes as she felt like not eating, but Seya remained with her arms around her.
She moved her to the table as Haruka scooted over to Michiru, who watched them as the sophomore sat at the edge. Seiya remained with her arm around her as she scooted her closer to her. Softly, she took some beef with some chopsticks and placed it on her lips. Sagi pursed her lips, but did not move away completely.
"Eat something, please." She tenderly whispered.
Sagi was about to cry as she shut her eyes. The beef was tenderly brushed on her lips as Seiya leaned her head into her.
"Eat something. Please…"
The sophomore softly denied it as the senior kept on her.
"Eat something, please, for me."
Sagi kept her eyes shut in sorrow as Seiya remained on her lips with the beef. Softly her mouth reluctantly parted open as she had the beef placed inside of her mouth. It was tasty, but she did not swallow it.
"For me." Seiya whispered as she kept the chopsticks near her lips. Softly, the sophomore munched on the food. It took a bit, but she softly swallowed as another beef was placed on her lips.
"For me…" She whispered softly as she continued to eat, swallowing every guilt. After what she went through for her, she could not deny her.
The others were wide eyed as they ate but said nothing. They had to give it to their girl. She was definitely persistent. They did not call her fighter for nothing.
The girls at all their food, more than they ate in years, and that was usually because they were trying to keep their figures. With the sophomore, it was a whole other story at home.
Sagi softly felt better. She still felt pain, but more pain of the guilt she had of them. Seiya breathed in relief as she drank her watermelon soda. They finished up as the old couple smiled at them.
"Arigatou Gozaimasu, come back again young ones!"
"Hai. Arigatou Gozaimasu." The girls bowed as they left.
"And be careful playing those sports, stay away from them better yet."
...
They had a long walk. Haruka and Michiru held hands, avoiding anyone who stared at them on the street. Taiki and Yaten held each other in arms, touching each others' backs as they glared at anyone who stared at them.
Sagi stared down as Seiya breathed and walked alongside her. She wanted to hold her hand, but was not sure how Sagi would feel about other people watching them. She did not care, but she felt the sophomore might have.
Sagi felt cold as she felt alone. They finally managed to reach the school. Luckily there were no guards and they managed to move inside without anyone noticing them.
Once they reached the gardens, they managed to relax. Their eyes held heaviness as the sophomore softly walked on. Discomfort crossed their chests, especially the black haired beauty.
"Sagi San."
Sagi froze in her steps and frowned, but said nothing. She has yet to turn around. She wondered why the senior called her by her first name, realizing she never gave her permission. But she was too stunned on what the older teens went through for her earlier today. They saved her life before, three times before.
They saved her life.
Again.
She breathed as tears strolled down her cheeks, but did not turn.
"Are we friends?" Seiya whispered sternly as the sophomore's shoulders sagged a bit. For a while, nothing was said as anger started to form inside them. The other seniors pursed their lips as she softly turned her head a bit to acknowledge.
Were they friends? Did they want to be her friend after she endangered them?
"I guess." She automatically whispered with sadness.
She guessed? She didn't mean to say that, well, she wasn't sure what she was trying to say. All she knew was that she couldn't think straight, needed to be alone, and she had to leave as she was going to break down soon.
"Arigatou." She automatically whispered as she walked off.
Stunned in silence, they watched her leave, too shocked by what she said, or what she meant...
What the hell did she mean by she guessed?
…
Sagi walked on in sadness, being embraced hard by Elsie earlier, before she pulled away as tears formed in her eyes. She felt too guilty, even to consider their friendship, as for the first time, she felt she did not deserve it.
She walked into her room as Siren noticed her and followed her in.
"Sagi Chan, I noticed you seem down. Are you okay?"
Sagi shut her eyes as she cried and shook her head.
"He is gone, Siren Chan, he is gone."
"I heard all about it." She held Sagi tight, her shook her head as she pulled away.
"Iie, I appreciate it, but I need to be alone."
"Elsie told me to hold you. You need it. Let it all out. Daijabou, Sweetie, Daijabou."
The sophomore sobbed, not knowing she was being watched.
...
The senior paused in her walk and frowned as she saw the two girls in a soft embrace, unable to hear them, but their site, being together, was enough to affect her. She got angry as Elsie stepped outside.
"Ah! I got lots to tell you- eh- daijabou Seiya Chan?"
Haruka walked up and frowned, seeing the two as Seiya turned around and walked back down. She was confused at the site as she turned and followed her.
Elsie was curious as she followed them, not knowing why Seiya was upset.
…
Sagi breathed and pulled away from Siren as she crawled to her bed.
"I need to be alone. Please. I need time to mourn him."
"Hai. Take your time mourning Rhett Butler, Sagi." Siren smiled as she turned and saw Larxene. Siren shook her head as she pulled her and shut the door.
…
"Seiya! Seiya!" Haruka ran to her as Seiya went to the lake, picked up a rock, and tossed it in anger.
"Seiya-" She grabbed her as her best friend snatched her hand away. She walked back and forth as she shut her eyes, feeling betrayed.
"Seiya, calm down."
"After all that we've done, after all I've done for her-she hides from me…"
"Hides what?" Haruka was hesitant as Seiya pursed her lips in anger.
"I don't fucking know-" She gasped as her best friend held her tight. Shutting her eyes, she started to cry.
"Nani, calm down, breathe." She whispered as her best friend followed her guidance.
"What are you talking about?"
"She allowed Siren San to hug her." Haruka paused in confusion, unsure of what Seiya, who looked angry, was trying to say.
"I, honestly Seiya, have they not hugged before?"
"We helped her. We helped her! We took a beating for her, and she keeps distant. Why… why does she let people like Siren, Elsie, Miyu, Xion, and hell, even Larxene for fucks sake, be near her but she doesn't allow us to come near her? They didn't take a beating for her, we did! We took the heat for her! We always take the heat for her! She won't let me close to her! Why can't she be that way with me? Huh? Why not me?!" Seiya whispered in pain as she frowned and looked at her. Tears rushed in her eyes as she covered her eyes in shame.
"Oh shit, Seiya, you like her…." Haruka looked at her in disbelief as she hugged her close. Her best friend breathed as she faltered and squints her eyes, crying softly.
"Gomen Nasai, I know I am so pathetic."
"No, no you are not." The sandy blonde had tears in her eyes as she kept her embrace. "I swear I won't say a word to anyone."
"Nani, what is this?!" Elsie cried out as she ran to the group.
"Seiya, I am so sorry. I had no idea you had it bad for her."
"I hate this. I hate that she is distant with me."
"Seiya Chan, talk to me."
Seiya shook her head as Elsie inquired again.
"Elsie… we can't now… not now." Haruka breathed.
"There there, shh, it's okay. I got gossip to tell you." Elsie spoke.
"Nani?" Haruka whispered as Elsie breathed.
"Well, I think Siren is with Xion and Larxene… if you know what I mean."
"Nani?" Haruka frowned in confusion as Seiya breathed and slowed down her cries, looking at her.
"Hai. I mean, Miyu thinks she saw her and Xion locking lips, I think, I mean their heads were together just now as we were coming out of the room. Miyu called out to them, and they looked confused and shocked, as they left. Later on, Larxene and Xion were holding hands as if nothing."
"Really?" Seiya asked as Elsie frowned and smiled.
"Hai. I mean, you guys can't tell? I mean, I am all for it, if that is their thing, I am just wondering why they like to keep quiet about it." She giggled in delight as Haruka looked at Seiya.
"Weird." Seiya thought.
"As if the spiky one isn't weird enough."
"So, guys, common, tell me… what's going on?"
The two were hesitant to talk to their purple haired friend, but decided to get things off their chest.
"We gave that girl enough chances. She doesn't like us."
"Hai. It's done."
"Wait up… Little Moon?" She gasped.
"Hai. I mean, I saw Siren hugging her."
"Well hai, Sagi was crying that she lost her pet, so I caught Siren on her way up and sent her over to cheer her up."
"Oh… You sent her. That is why she allowed her to hug her."
"Hai… She refused us at first, looked like she was too upset and wanted to be alone, but I wouldn't have it. Sagi usually doesn't open up physically with anyone, but she is too traumatized with the way Lady San kicked him out and I finally convinced Siren to hold her so she may continue to let it out. She saw her pet killed on the streets… wait… why are you asking me about Sagi all of a sudden- nani- SEIYA CHAN?!" Elsie beamed as Seiya blushed hard.
"Elsie, please don't-" Seiya was cut off as Haruka pursed her lips.
"Just don't say anything." The sandy blonde stated.
"Nani, but why? She is a sweet girl?"
"She's not gay." Seiya whispered.
"She's not…?" Elsie was confused as she pursed her lips and looked to the side.
"Iie… Elsie Chan… do you have something to say?" The black haired teen whispered.
"Ah? Everything is fine. Listen-"
"Elsie Chan, is she gay?" Haruka went wide eyed as Seiya breathed in silence.
"I have drinks with Miyu. Let's go to the Violet House and get drunk, heh?"
"Elsie Chan, you are not answering..." Haruka said as she looked at Seiya, who kept her eyes on her purple haired friend.
Elsie's smile faltered as she breathed and looked at them.
"You may ask Little Moon yourself if you are really curious."
"Why can't you tell us?!" Seiya asked in anger.
"She is my little Imouto."
"We are your friends! Elsie, common, we knew you first!" Haruka chanted in anguish.
"It's not for me to know, to be honest, I never asked her. I mean I did but- pff…." She sighed in confusion as Seiya breathed.
"Nani, you did, what did she say?"
"She never answered. She was confused. She thought I was asking her if she was gay, like-happy-gay-happy term. She did not understand my question, she is too innocent to think of dating. She doesn't think about those things so much."
"Great." Seiya breathed as she shut her eyes.
"Why are you guys bruised and cut up? What the heck happened to you guys? AGAIN?!"
"Those girls that attacked us before, attacked us again, threatening to harm Sagi."
"Nani, did you get Lady San?!"
"IIE! SWEAR to me you won't say a word, we were trying to get Sagi, she was not supposed to leave school grounds. She followed that cat out of the school."
"Hai. That is a shame. She even saved him and all. Probably the only love he received was from her." She sighed.
"It was fucking horrible. Then in anger, as we tried to get her to come back to school, she took off into the forest, and those, fucking prejudice bitches cornered her because she ratted out on them from beating us up last time. Kino's oneechan had a bee bee gun." Haruka breathed in anger and held herself as she calmed down.
"NANI?! Gomen Nasai. That is fucking terrible you guys." Elsie hissed in anger.
'Hai. We took care of them… Yurenkasykuya treated us to food."
"She did? See, I told you guys, I knew she'd come around."
"Somewhat. She's still closed off from us."
"Hai, well, it will take time. I still want to kick your asses for doing what you guys did to her, even if you were trying to do it for me, despite me losing my hair due to misunderstandings, which Yuki San did it and meant for Sarah, I would've kicked your asses."
"Elsie!"
"Hai. Okay Okay. I grew my hair back. Sagi's great. Give her time. She's young. Innocent."
"I'm afraid she might not like the scrutiny by being with us, because of who we are…" Seiya breathed as she felt pain, thinking she'd have to be separated from her.
"Seiya, that is silly to think, it should not matter-"
"It does not matter to me Elsie, but it might matter to her."
Elsie grew quiet as she pondered on that possibility.
"Let's get drunk."
Seiya breathed as Haruka arched her eyebrows.
"Hai. We could use some."
"Go on to the Violet House and relax. I will get the others."
"Kay, see you."
Elsie squealed as she left. Seiya wiped her eyes as Haruka embraced her shoulder. She embraced her waist as they walked off.
"No matter what happens, or doesn't happen, it will be okay."
"I know." Seiya whispered in sadness. "I know."
…
Time passed. It was night. The wind was blowing hard. There was moisture in the air, like it wanted to rain. The dark skies was filled with stars in between.
…
Sagi remained with her legs tucked in her arms, feeling calm. She felt cried out. She noticed it was late, and her roommate was still gone. Despite wanting to be alone, she hoped to see her at least… what she did for her today, along with the other senior, was something else from out of this world.
The sophomore looked at the floor next to her bed, seeing a shimmer from the window in the darkness. She lingered in the dark. The wind blew in through the window as she looked out the window, seeing the stars hidden behind dark clouds, shimmering, but hidden. She kept on the stars as she felt them stare back at her.
Daring.
She wanted to see her tonight. She didn't know why there was a strong need. But she needed to see her. She breathed and shut her eyes, replaying her responses from earlier.
"Are we friends now?" Her voice called out to her.
Were they friends now? Sagi stayed still as she breathed, feeling warmth in her heart. Normally, she would say no, considering their history, but knowing what she did for her… what they both did, meant something. The blonde beauty soothed her face as she caressed her head. Friends? That was the question of the century. Confusion. Sagi didn't know if they were friends yet, that was something that needed to be confirmed face to face. That she was sure of.
But, she wasn't so sure about the lack of friendship anymore.
…
The Violet House was filled with teens drinking, smoking weed and laughing hard.
Seiya breathed as she held the stick between her fingers, and held a bottle in the other, leaning her head back against the sofa, watching the others party. Taiki and Yaten were high, making out with each other. It was the time where her studious brunette best friend would cut loose in public with her light haired girlfriend. She briefly saw Elsie linger on Miyu, who was oblivious but excitedly spoke with her purple haired admirer and Michiru as they all played some cards.
The sandy blonde sat next to her and took her bottle from her hand, sipping it into her mouth. The black haired beauty then offered her stick, as she felt it almost slip from her fingers.
"Still thinking about her?"
"Just wondering…"
"About…?"
"Her being gay…"
"Ah… yeah, I wondered about that too."
Seiya remained still as she thought of that family.
"So, are you going to pursue her?"
"I don't know if she is gay."
"I know. Might as well ask…"
"Also, she is Galexia San's sister."
"Yeah. We know."
"It didn't work out with Sarah San so well, if you remember."
Haruka looked over at her as she realized what it meant. It would be trouble with that family.
"Do you want to fight for her to be involved in your life?"
"I don't know…"
"Well, listen, if I were you, no hard feelings, keep her away." The sandy blonde whispered.
"You're probably right." The black haired beauty breathed, feeling ache in her heart.
"Of course she is. You guys talking about her not wanting to be friends with us, forget her." Taiki overheard the tail end of the conversation as the two said nothing, and chanted, high.
"Are you sure…? You seem-" Yaten narrowed her eyes, super drunk.
"I agree with her. Keep her away. Move on." Michiru, tipsy, said with sadness.
"Shame." The green eyed teen yawned and made out with her girlfriend some more.
Haruka was drunk as she felt Seiya leaned her head against her shoulder. She placed her arms around her as her best friend took her stick and smoked, who gracefully inhaled and blew it. The senior placed her hand on her best friend's knee, whispering as others won't hear.
"I need a woman, to forget her. Fast. I will lose my shit otherwise."
"You got it." The sandy blonde whispered as they smiled and nodded.
The seniors continued to drink and smoke.
Seiya felt weak and noticed soft light on the floor. She looked up towards the window, and noticed the moon softly peeking out from behind the clouds, hiding from her, but staring back at her, mysteriously.
So mysterious.
…
Miyu, the most sober one in the group, frowned as she continued to drink, not saying a response as she kept hearing Elsie, even if her drunk form, stating that everyone is stupid, even though no one heard her as they were too high and drunk.
…
It started to softly rain. The wind grew colder. The stars and moon disappeared behind the thick clouds.
…
Sagi woke up in the middle of the night. She heard whimpering as she turned around and sat up.
She was here?
The whimper went quiet as she slowly got up and tread softly towards the other bed.
"Kou San?"
"What do you want?"
Sagi paused as her voice held venom, which sounded slurred.
"Are you okay?" She whispered as the senior breathed and said nothing. Sagi contemplated on whether to continue to her bed or not.
"Why do you care?"
"I just wanted to see if you were okay." Sagi whispered in pain, feeling hurt at how the senior brushed her off.
"Why do you care?" The black haired beauty whispered in anger, still faced away from her, remembering her best friend's advice.
The blond beauty breathed as her heart started to pound rapidly, feeling out of breath.
"Gomen Nasai. I will leave you alone."
Her own voice was cold, she knew, even through her complacent demeanor. But she was too high strung in her emotions to allow anyone else to be cold to her, especially since she lost her cat. The sophomore breathed in control.
Damn, Rhett Butler, wish you were here.
Sagi turned around as tears rushed into her eyes. Her lips pursed as she swiftly moved to her bed.
Movement was heard on the other bed before footsteps were heard, coming close behind.
She was about to climb on the bed as hands grabbed the side of her shoulders, making her yelp in surprise as her shoulders were locked in arms, feeling a venomous whisper cooing in her ear. She smelled alcohol fill her nose.
"Why do you care, Sagi San?!" Seiya whispered to her ear, anger as the blonde teen swallowed the lump in her throat.
"Forget it Kou San. Just ignore me."
Her deep breathing on her hair continued as the senior embraced the sophomore closer.
"Friend. Foe. You never can make up your mind."
"Kou San, what the hell-" The sophomore broke off as she felt breath on her neck, feeling her strong body from behind as her thoughts ran a million miles a moment, losing her own breath.
We are really close.
The senior noticed the texture of her body, even if it was through that long thick nightgown. The senior stilled herself, thinking of Siren and her roommate earlier, breathing down her neck.
The sophomore quivered, struggling to speak until her question that made her freeze.
"Are you gay, Sagi? That is a question that has been burning inside of my mind. Inside all of our minds…"
"Nani?" Her heart pounded in disbelief as those steel arms trapped hers.
"Are you gay?" Seiya softly hissed in a whisper into the blonde's ear, blushing hard at her innocence.
Sagi froze in disbelief, figuring that the same question Elsie asked her once coming home from the club, but this was different, and sounded different from her lips, even though it was the same question she was asking her.
"Kou San, what do you mean by that?" She whispered softly, blushing hard.
Nothing was said. White noise.
Then, those lips brushed her ear, trailing slowly down her neck as she caused her to shudder. Sagi stilled herself as the Seiya breathed upon the skin of her neck, watching the shape of her breasts as she held her arms down, knuckles brushing the sides of her ribs, right underneath her soft globes, wiping her mind blank.
"I'll take what is mine." The black haired beauty whispered tenderly, slightly possessive, moving into her skin.
"Kou San, what do you mean-?" A gasp escaped her lips as soft lips parted and a bite gently but firmly sank into her sensitive skin, under her jaw, between those perfect teeth.
She trembled as she struggled to decipher what was going on with her, with this senior, but the sophomore was unable to think now. She felt her bite on the left side of her neck as she hyperventilated. Nerves rushed below as she felt she was about to go.
"Nani?"
Sagi breathed as her bite held for a while longer, then followed by a brush of her cool tongue and soothing of her lips, suckling. Her waist was held close to the solid firm body behind her.
Teeth. Tongue. Lips. Suck. Alternating between …
What was she doing…?
Bites, kisses and licking continued on her skin as a suction was made again -
WHAT WAS SHE DOING TO HER?!
Her arms synched tighter around her, causing her to softly exhale. Softly, long, slender fingers trailed on her arms, her shaking hands… and then her stomach, lingering there with her butterflies, making her feel… making her feel...
The blonde beauty was red all over...
Seiya kept her bite on her, suckling the sweet soft skin into her mouth for a good few minutes.
"Kou San. Kou-" She weakly whispered in disbelief, shutting her eyes as warmth to fire spread all over her body by her teeth, tongue and lips…Sagi was confused as nerves rushed throughout her body.
Her legs went weak as a soft yelp escaped her mouth. After a while, her skin was released as a few licks followed.
She gasped as her lips caressed her skin, licking her sensitive neck once more, releasing her skin from her lips, before she softly kissed her neck, peppering soft kisses right underneath her jaw, and breathed her in.
Sagi flushed red as she noticed the dark hair through her peripheral vision, feeling strong steel arms around her chest and torso, entrapped. Softly, her lips released her skin… then she remained there, both remaining still...
Seiya's eyes trailed down to her neck, seeing a deep, dark bruise formed on this soft delicate neck by her bite.
A love bite.
Figuring how she felt earlier, it changed seeing this mark now, feeling strong, she released her completely in an exhale and moved back to her own bed as her heart expanded inside.
Sagi was not sure what she was feeling as she felt her leave as her heart was pounding at a rapid pace. Didn't know if she was relieved it would continue, or saddened to end. Now she couldn't think straight.
What was she herself thinking?!
The sophomore moved her hand to her neck as she looked over at the senior, wide eyed.
"Kou San, what-?"
"I got my answer. Oyasuminasai." Seiya whispered with no venom. She was lighter in her voice, almost like she was happy. She moved to her bed and immediately conked out.
"Kou San, why did you…?" Sagi shuddered in her voice as she released her neck. But Kou fell silent as she called out again. Figuring it was a strange night, and nervous that she would do… whatever that was… she turned and jumped into bed, shutting her eyes tight as she blushed hard. She forgot about Rhett Butler that night.
…
Seiya woke up as she frowned and rubbed her eyes. Feeling a bit hungover, she turned on her bed and sat up.
She looked over and noticed Sagi's bed was empty. Wondering where she went, she got up and went to the bathroom.
Images of last night ran through her mind, realizing what she's done to her-
"Oh, Shit."
