Members: Yukari Yakumo, Kasen Ibaraki, Okina Matara, Kyomu Burakkuabisu, Tamaki Mangekyou, and Kagami Hansha (at least those six are the known members of this organization)

Symbol: A purple background with black trigrams, black thorny vines, a yellow constellation resembling stars, a rotating black hole, a white cracked mirror, and a red and yellow circus tent

The Zipangu Sages are an organization responsible for the protection and maintenance of the natural order in Zipangu.

The Zipangu sages are made up of an unknown number of sages, with the only known members being Yukari, Kasen, Okina, Kyomu, Tamaki, and Kagami. The other members have yet to reveal themselves, which means they could be doing an important job that they are doing as of now.

The Zipangu Sages protect Zipangu from any harm be it external and internal threats. An example was when the Order tried to mount an attack on the country but was ultimately destroyed by Yukari, Kasen, Okina, Tamaki, Kagami, and Kyomu.

The Zipangu Sages have also accepted the use of demonic energy being used as it would help break the cycle that the Chief God has been continuing for a while.

The Zipangu Sages also follow their lord, Ryujin Ryu, the Absolute Dragon God as he was the one who formed the organization alongside Yukari. Their main goal besides maintaining the stability of Zipangu is preventing extra-dimensional entities or factions from coming into our world. This includes: The Four Chaos Gods (Tzeentch, Nurgle, Khorne, and Slaanesh), their Chaos Demons, and followers, the Scarlet King and the Children of the Scarlet King, Red the kaiju monstrosity who rules over Zenith, and the Karcist Cults. They have been doing so by hiding our world's presence from them, or by killing any of their followers who show up in this world without hesitation to make it be unnoticed by the public at large.

An example of the Zipangu Sages killing followers of extradimensional threats was when the remnants of a Karcist Cult from when they were still powerful before being destroyed by the Mekanites managed to transport themselves to our world, but they were swiftly killed by Yukari, Okina, Kasen, Kyomu, Tamaki, and Kagami before they could do anything. Which includes cannibalism and murder that the cult likes to usually do, would have done so on a town full of mamanos and humans. And they made sure to burn their bodies or dispose of them through other means completely as they seemed to be particularly tough to take down and survive even decapitation.

The Zipangu sages, while always preventing the constant threat of an alternate dimension threat from coming toward our world, allow some beings or objects to enter such as several different items and books including the corpses of Calamity Dragon Kalameet, Darkeater Midir, and the Sleeping Dragon Sinh from their world to enter into this world. This is because they do not threaten the natural balance and order of Zipangu and the world at large.

The Zipangu Sages have no armies but are made up of powerful individuals such as Yukari, who can manipulate boundaries, Okina, who can use the back doors to empower or depower people along with manipulating life and mental energy, Kasen, who is a true oni and a very strong one at that as she was one of the Four Devas of Youkai Mountain, Kyomu, who can manipulate the void, Tamaki, who can manipulate and bend reality to her own benefit without any efforts, and Kagami, who can manipulate mirrors, create copies of original individuals even possessing their original powers though she can't do so to others who are as powerful as she is or even more powerful and manipulate the mirror world at large. Though they still get help from another secret organization called Eye of the Dragon, which they are friendly with and sometimes are a great help with dealing with enemies from an alternate dimension that they don't have the time to deal with.

At present time, the Zipangu Sages have begun to go against the Order by the use of secreting pulling off sabotages on projects along with the deaths of several individuals. They did so because they discovered on their own about Argent Energy being used by the Order, which makes them very disgusted.

A/n: As for why I am having three canon Sages and three oc Sages it is to deal with the problem that are these invading forces! As in the Sarkics and Chaos Cults! This is going to make it difficult for ANY invading force to enter into Fanmade MGE! Not only would they have to deal with Ryūjin and the three normal Zipangu Sages but THREE MORE Zipangu Sages that are just as strong as the three other Sages.

Also NO. Gensokyo DOESN'T exist in Fanmade MGE! In fact the Zipangu Sages now protect a WHOLE COUNTRY instead of a piece of land along with the Fanmade MGE universe at large so there's that too!
