The Hakurei Family is a group of people who are most well-known throughout Zipangu as they have kept the balance in that region for a while and in other places as well. They originally used to hunt the monsters in the area but over time this began to change due to the rise of the new Demon Lord, Lilith, making the monsters now love for humans instead of killing them.
Most of the Hakurei Family were starting to see how corrupt the cycle of the First Chief God really was as it caused so many deaths to humans in the past years as a way for her to keep her power. However, the previous Hakurei God actively supported the Current Chief God, and so tried to brainwash the Hakurei Family into mindless servitude.
However, one of the most well-known and liked members of the Hakurei Family, Misaki, very much so opposed this, and confronted the Hakurei God and fought him. He would have easily killed her if it wasn't for help from her husband, Ryūjin Ryu, the Absolute Dragon God. After beating him, the Absolute Dragon God extracted all his essence, essentially killing the manipulator god, and had Misaki take it all, becoming the new Hakurei God.
As a result of the Hakurei Family's unwillingness to cooperate, the Order of the Chief God and a third party known as the Amanomiya Clan attempted to commit genocide on the family, including killing the women and the children. However, Misaki in her new Hakurei God form slaughtered them all after finding out about their plot.
After the slaughter, the Hakurei Family accepted Misaki as the new Hakurei God after being told the old one had been manipulating them. They then declared war on the Order as their God and beliefs go against everything the Hakurei Family's goals hold dear which is maintaining the balance among humans and monsters.
To show their hatred toward the Order, the Hakurei Family was monsterized by Dragora, the leader of the Eye of the Dragon, which resulted in the males being turned into incubi while the females into monster girls. As a result, they are now hunting the Order instead of monsters now.
The Hakurei Family are most well-known for their expert sealing techniques and barrier manipulation which has made them known for being the most capable of dealing with threats that can be sealed or contained. They are also very good in combat with their members being experienced in the extermination of hostiles, and their lethality has gotten better after becoming monsters with their newfound inhuman strength. One of the best Hakurei is the former laziest, this being Reimu Hakurei, who has been turned into a dragon which made her more deadlier and determined with finding a husband as well.
Most of the Hakurei Family members would be seen in the Zipangu Region, making sure there is true order there. However, some members of the Hakurei Family joined the Eye of the Dragon, because they saw it as beneficial to keep the world in balance by preventing outside threats from threatening the world. The two most well-known people from the Hakurei Family to join the EOD is Midoryu (a Ryu), and Mizuhime (an Otohime). In fact, all of the Hakurei Family do know of the Eye of the Dragon, however, they are sworn to absolute secrecy when it comes to keeping the group a secret.
The Hakurei Family lives in the Hakurei Shrine which has been upgraded to have its interior be bigger on the inside. This interior qualifies as a small demon realm with all sorts of environments to help accommodate the different criteria for the Hakurei Family members who became different elemental mamanos. The Hakurei Shrine also has a gateway that leads to Ryūjin Peak, which is where the Eye of the Dragon is located. The Hakurei Shrine itself only lets Hakurei members into it though it will let those considered as allies of the Hakurei.
The Hakurei Family also began to be more viscous with their war with the Order after they began to use argent energy with them destroying ANY argent energy tech or weaponry on the spot.
