Abnormalities are a rather abnormal group of mamanos which function differently to the other mamanos in several ways. As such, they have been labeled as a completely unique monster family.
For starters, most of them are said to originate from the mind or were forcibly turned into one by a powerful energy-producing company known as Lobotomy Corporation, originating from a different universe altogether, whose sole known livable location is called the City.
Abnormalities come in all sorts of sizes and races. They can be toy-like mamanos, straight up animal-like creatures, and even some humanoids. Some are based on fairy tale creatures and characters while some are even god-like. Despite all of this, they all share one thing in common, they are all immortal.
When killed, an Abnormality will transform into an egg. In this state, they become invulnerable as they recover, as it was witnessed when an Order Hero tried to break apart one such by using the entire arsenal of an armory to break one down but failed. Eventually, Abnormalities will break out of their egg-like state and hatch good as new with their memories intact. It's unknown how this is possible, but this makes them powerful and dangerous monsters that the Order still struggles against, with even the brightest minds of the Order failing to find a solution to get around this type of immortality.
Abnormalities categorize the damage they deal into four types, which are RED, WHITE, BLACK, and PALE. RED attacks are simply physical attacks, WHITE is mental damage, BLACK is both mental and physical damage, described by both victims and Abnormalities alike as thorns encroaching into the victim's body and mind, and PALE directly attacks the soul. These damage types can be dealt by different Abnormalities, however some are immune, resistant, endured, weak to or capable of absorbing these damage types which opponents can take advantage of when fighting them, when using the right tools or abilities.
Interestingly, Abnormalities are more than willing to commit to violence compared to most mamanos, theorized to be due to their connection to the human mind. Though they were being reigned in by the current Mamano Lord. However, with the news of the Order's recent atrocities and willingness to escalate the conflict, that restraint has been lifted, with many Abnormalities having expressed excitement over the possibility to go all out.
In terms of danger types, Abnormalities come in several: ZAYIN, TETH, HE, WAW, and ALEPH. Though some Abnormalities claim that these classes are meant to represent their energy production, those of higher class are inevitably more dangerous that those of lower classes.
When an Abnormality feels great emotional satisfaction, such as the feeling a mamono has while having sex, they can, in the right environment, secrete a substance they call Enkephalin, research on it's properties are underway, but the radicals have already begun to use it as an ingredient to make powerful aphrodisiacs.
A Scholar's Notes: For the sake of comparison, we shall compare the threat levels of Abnormalities to how they can do against Order forces. Although there are some weaker and stronger types of Abnormalities in each class type, so some mamonos of the same class may perform differently in battle from each other.
ZAYIN Abnormalities pose little to no danger at all. They are typically considered harmless and many of them do not even fight. They often need stronger monsters to defend them from the Order.
TETH Abnormalities are more dangerous than ZAYIN but aren't as bad to handle as HE. They may pose a threat against untrained soldiers, but anything else has been shown to be too much for TETH Abnormalities, with Heroes having no trouble handling them.
HE Abnormalities are much more dangerous, requiring more middle tier level order units to handle and can actually wipe out an entire battalion of soldiers by themselves. However, heroes of the Order are still enough to handle them, even if it may require a little effort.
WAW Abnormalities are easily more powerful and dangerous than HE Abnormalities. These types require more higher order units and Order heroes are known to struggle against them. In fact, there have been documented cases where WAW Abnormalities felled heroes and decimated multiple battalions by themselves.
ALEPH Abnormalities are by far the most dangerous type of Abnormalities. Entire kingdoms following the Order have fallen to singular ALEPHs and entire teams of heroes have fallen against a single ALEPH. As such, the cost of fighting one and possibly killing them is immeasurable with armies, kingdoms and heroes being decimated to just slow down an ALEPH's rampage. Some ALEPH Abnormalities have no known records of losing a battle against the Order.
A scholar's notes: I have also asked many Abnormalities on the manner of their arrival to our world. They claimed that their original selves stayed in the city while parts of themselves traveled to places unknown, such our world. I am trying to figure out the meaning behind such an event, but the answers elude me.
A/N: If you don't know what Abnormalities are, allow me to explain.
They are these SCP-like entities found in Lobotomy Corporation, Library of Ruina and Limbus Company (all of these games are actually part of a series made by Project Moon). And as you can see, UNLIKE SCPs, they can't be permanently neutralized. Although these Abnormalities do share some similarities with SCPs like the danger levels, even if those operate differently.
So yeah, I decided to bring in Abnormalities as, unlike SCPs they won't attract as much attention to the world of FMGE compared to SCPs. Allow me to explain in that, unlike SCPs, these Abnormalities won't just attract something as terrible as the Scarlet King, the Black Moon, or something dangerous from the world of the SCPs. So yeah, that's my explanation on why they're coming.
And if you're wondering any SCP-related stuff in FMGE is considered not canon. If anyone is wondering.
However, I also have to point that, yes, I have played all three games, and as such I have an inherent understanding of what those games have to offer, which is these Abnormalities.
