Ok, so before we start this chapter, I just want to point out a few things:
1. Would you rather: Fight 10 Midoriya sized All Might's, or fight one All Might sized Midoriya?
2. Don't mock ANY Mental Disorder in the reviews of my stories. I have Autism, Anxiety, Depression, and PTSD myself, so mocking my kind is really triggering, so don't mock mental disorders. Otherwise I block you so you can't review my fics EVER AGAIN.
3. This chapter will contain the following:
• No trigger warnings today, let's get into this fluffy chapter!
Now that I have all of the important shit out of the way, lets get into this!
It was the day after the USJ incident, and Izuku was still in Recovery Girl's office, along with Aizawa and anyone else who was injured or knocked unconscious during the incident.
"Oh... Shit." Izuku slowly woke up. "What happened?"
Recovery Girl walked over to Izuku.
"You were knocked unconscious during the USJ attack." Recovery Girl informed.
"I knew I shouldn't have used so many quirks at once. Was I injured?" Izuku asked.
"Yes, though they're just a few sprains in your wrists and left ankle. Nothing that time and healing quirks can't fix." Recovery Girl nodded.
"I see." Izuku replied. "Is Mr Aizawa ok? He got quite the beating when he was fighting all of those villains."
"He's fine, though his face got quite beaten up." Recovery Girl answered.
"Is it ok if I check up on him?" Izuku asked again, worried about his teacher.
"I'll have to ask him, but I think that'll be fine." Recovery Girl answered, going to ask the sleepyhead. "Speaking of visiting, your mother and your partner are here."
Inko and Katsuki walked into the room.
"Hey, Quirkologist, how are you? You took quite the tumble when you punched that monster freak and then bit it." Katsuki greeted.
"I'll be fine. I've been in worse situations." Izuku replied. "What about you two?"
"Oh, Izuku! I've been worried sick!" Inko replied, hugging Izuku tightly.
"Same here. Whenever you use too many Transformation quirks, you tend to get pretty bad injuries." Katsuki pointed out.
"Well, this time I sprained my wrists and ankle." Izuku informed.
"Izuku, you poor thing!" Inko exclaimed.
"I'll be fine. I'll recover." Izuku reassured his mother.
"Ok, Izuku." Inko nodded, letting go of the hug.
Recovery Girl had walked back.
"Izuku, Shota Aizawa has informed me that he is fine with you checking up on him." Recovery Girl informed as Izuku tried to get out of bed, with assistance from Katsuki.
"Good morning, pure boy and his lackey." Shota greeted.
"Morning, Mr Aizawa. How are you feeling?" Izuku asked his teacher.
"Could be better, what about you?" Shota shrugged.
"I'm fine, I only sprained my wrists and ankle." Izuku nodded. "Are you willing for me to use my Regeneration quirk on you?"
"Do whatever. Just as long as you don't do anything stupid." Shota shrugged.
Izuku smiled and looked at his hand to see what parts of his hands were bandaged. Lucky for him, the top of his fingers weren't bandaged. Izuku placed his hand on the top of his teacher's head, and activated Regeneration.
"Before I was given Regeneration, it healed things on a pretty small scale, though after I was given it, it heals things much faster. For you, it should be like five days at maximum." Izuku infodumped, soon taking his hand off of his teacher's head.
"Thank you, Midoriya." Shota thanked his student. "Also because of the USJ attack, you'll have the rest of the week off."
Soon, Izuku limped back to his bed, with assistance from Katsuki. After a few more minutes, Izuku was let out of Recovery Girl's office, with Aizawa's information in his head.
For the rest of the day, Izuku was just taking it easy, because of his injuries. The next day, Izuku and Katsuki decided to do some quirk training, specifically Izuku's training with Tentacles, since he didn't want to be on his injured foot much.
Izuku and Katsuki went to train at the beach they cleaned up, since there weren't any people there that day. Katsuki also decided to invite Ejiro as well, since the two were starting to bond, and Katsuki wanted Izuku to make more friends.
Ejiro had met them at the beach, where Katsuki was carrying Izuku on his shoulders, piggyback style.
"Hey, you two!" Ejiro called out. "Midoriya! How are you after you passed out at the USJ?"
"Could've been worse." Izuku replied. "I only sprained my wrists and ankle. Nothing serious."
"So, let's get started, shall we?" Katsuki smirked.
Izuku activated Tentacles and stood on his own, wrapping three of them around his left leg and foot.
While Izuku and Katsuki were sparring, Ejiro was training how long he could stay 'unbreakable' for, timing himself using a stopwatch that he conveniently brought, though he could only stay in that state for only a few seconds, currently.
Izuku was going through all of his different quirks, except for certain quirks, like Axe Hands. He'd save them for whenever Ejiro wanted to spar with him. And some quirks he didn't use at all! This was either because of lack of convenience, like Hold Up or Sparks Fly, or lack of resources, like Braincurdle or Objectify.
The next day, Ejiro and Izuku decided to spar together, while Katsuki trained in using more powerful blasts.
Izuku (who wrapped his leg in Tentacles again) charged at Ejiro.
Heart Bomb + Kitten + Weight Loss!
Izuku charged at Ejiro, becoming extremely agile, shockwaves coming out of his right foot, and becoming weightless.
Ejiro hardened his skin, punching Izuku in the gut. Izuku deactivated his quirk combination, and activated Fireworks, shooting several at Ejiro.
The fight went on for a while, until the trio went their separate ways. The pattern of who would spar with Izuku went: Katsuki, Ejiro, Katsuki, Ejiro.
Then Monday, next week school was back on.
When Izuku and Katsuki were walking into their classroom, the Ochacosquad was waiting for the two.
"Bakugo, Midoriya!" Ochaco greeted.
"Good morning, Uraraka, Tsu, Tenya, Ashido, Sato, and Kaminari." Izuku smiled, being helped to his desk by Katsuki.
"How are you after you passed out after defeating that Nomu?" Rikido inquired.
"I'll be fine. Just a few sprains, that's all." Izuku informed.
"But didn't Bakugo say that you break your bones after you use too many Composite quirks, you break your bones? He said nothing about sprains." Ochaco mentioned.
"I don't know for sure, but I think I sprained my wrists and ankle, because I had a quirk that makes my bones unbreakable activated, so the backlash must've gone to my ligaments instead. Why my right ankle wasn't injured? I don't actually know." Izuku explained.
"Wait, if you sprained your ankle, then does that mean you won't be doing hero training until you heal?" Mina asked.
"It depends on how I'm feeling, since Kacchan, Kirishima, and I trained on the beach that me and Kacchan cleaned before we took the Entrance Exam." Izuku shrugged. "I used my Tentacles quirk and wrapped my leg up, so my ankle's injuries wouldn't become even worse."
"That's not good." Ochaco frowned.
"Yeah, you really aren't fit for combat work right now." Tsu agreed.
"I hope you heal well, Izuku." Tenya commented.
"Yeah, you can always count on us to help!" Ochaco exclaimed.
"Speaking of which, Izu, would you like me to write down your notes for you?" Katsuki asked Izuku.
"I'd like that, Kacchan. Thank you." Izuku thanked his childhood friend.
Once Homeroom started, everyone was wondering about Aizawa.
"Do you guys think that Aizawa will return?" Tsu wondered. "He was pretty injured when he fought all those villains."
Soon, unexpectedly, Aizawa walked, or rather, sleepingbaged, into the room, though his face was bandaged up, though his arms had fully healed up.
"Good morning, class. Remember me? Yeah, I'm Shota Aizawa, your homeroom teacher." Aizawa greeted.
"We know who you are, are you ok, sir?" Denki asked.
"I'll hopefully be recovering soon, thanks to a couple of regeneration quirks. As for you all, after Homeroom, one by one, you'll be seeing Hound Dog." Aizawa informed. "Especially you, Midoriya. You've had a past with villains, so it mustn't have been easy to cope somewhere full of them. As for the next announcement I was going to make: the UA Sports Festival is coming up."
"Yes!" Ejiro cheered with his fists raised in front of him. "Let's go kick some ass!"
"Wait a second!" Denki protested, the Pikachu was clearly uncertain about the decision to have the Sports Festival after the USJ incident.
"Is it really such a good idea to still hold the Sports Festival after Villains attacked?" Kyouka questioned Aizawa.
"I mean, couldn't they attack again when even more people are packed into one place?" Sero asked and a few students looked questioningly towards Aizawa.
"To answer your questions, the administration thinks this is a good way to show that the threat has been handled. That our school is safer than ever." Aizawa spoke calmly, in the tone of a professional reading off the decision of their higher-ups. "We're also increasing security compared to past years. This event is a huge opportunity for all students at U.A. it's not something we can cancel because of a Villain attack."
"Why not? It's just the Sports Festival." Hitoshi asked.
"Shinso..." Izuku turned to look at the boy that sat behind him. "Don't you know how important the Sports Festival is?"
"The U.A. Sports Festival is one of the most watched events in the country." Aizawa spoke a bit louder to end their conversation. "When it comes to competition between future Heroes, the U.A. Sports Festival is number one in Japan for viewership."
"That's right," Momo agreed. "Top Heroes from all over the country will be watching. This is an event where you can get scouted."
"And also any heroes, depending on what their schedule is like..." Izuku mumbled. "I wonder if he'll be watching..."
Some people heard Izuku mumbling to himself, but didn't take much notice of it.
"Is there something you'd like to share, Midoriya?" Aizawa asked.
"No, Mr Aizawa! Yaoyorozu just mentioned heroes, so I started thinking about someone who I hope will be watching, as long as they aren't too busy." Izuku stated.
"As I was saying... It's true that getting scouted and joining a famous Hero Agency can get you more experience and even popularity." Aizawa admitted to the class of teens. "That's why this Festival matters. If you want to go Pro one day, this event can open up doors for you. You get one chance a year, three chances in a lifetime. No aspiring Hero can afford to miss this Festival. Which means you can't slack off in your lessons or training. Am I clear?"
"Yes sir!" The class chorused.
Soon, Homeroom had ended. Everyone went over to Hound Dog's office, though Izuku was told to stay back for a moment.
"Midoriya, first of all, I would like to thank you for speeding up my recovery time, my arms feel better than ever." Aizawa thanked the green bean.
"You're welcome, Mr Aizawa." Izuku nodded as he started to smile.
"Second of all, your injuries. Do you think you'll be able to handle yourself?" Aizawa asked.
"I hope so. I don't want to accidentally hinder my own recovery time, just because I'm training to be a hero." Izuku stated.
"Well if you need to sit out during Heroics Class, use this." Aizawa handed Izuku a note explaining how Izuku is allowed to sit out if he needs to.
"Are you sure All Might will accept this? Last time I asked to sit out, he said..." Izuku cleared his throat, doing his best All Might impression. "Nonsense! Heroes have to deal with things like these all of the time! If you want to be a hero, you'll have to go into this like a true hero! Or a villain, in your case, young Midoriya."
"What...?" Aizawa had a furious tone in his voice. "Next time I run into him, I'll give him a stern talking to."
"Well I should probably start heading to Hound Dog's office now." Izuku said. "Bye, Mr Aizawa!"
Aizawa realised that he had raised his voice and proceeded to feel guilty.
"Gosh darn it. I shouldn't have raised my voice." Aizawa mumbled. "The kid probably hates me now... I should apologise during lunch. Yeah! That's what I'll do!"
How will the Sports Festival go? Izuku has some new Quirks from the USJ to practice with! Good thing they have some time before the Festival starts! And Kirishima has been practising with becoming unbreakable!
And to respond to the reviews: to Ultimate Spiderman 2022, I don't know when. To Jakai kaitatsu, the list of quirks are here for a reason, as it helps me remember what this version of Izuku can do, and I'm basing Hitoshi's past bullying off of experience me and my friends have gone through, such as becoming sort of jerkish, even if he doesn't mean it. To Death Fury, he did, just not during the USJ arc. To jakelockley773, he didn't copy Shock Absorption. And to CRose, well they did, so it doesn't matter.
Also my birthday is coming up, so the next chapter will likely come out then!
Now something else that I'd like to say is thank you to whoever is reading this as I've noticed that this story is getting really really really well-liked, or at least in my own fanfiction standards! So a big big thank you to anyone who as taken time out of their day to read this. I hope that one day this fanfiction will maybe one day get it's own TV Tropes page under the My Hero Academia Fan Works!
Now remember... Go beyond... Plus Ultra!
