Chapter 12: The Chained Life

The Lapras' heart was beating as fast as the currents, as she was trying to swim away from them and into the ocean. She felt a bit tad guilty for doing this, kidnapping Sparks from his home so he could live with her instead. It would seem like a heartless thing to do, especially because she knows what it feels like, but it was still the right thing to do in her eyes!

What Sparks had done was very wrong from where he was from, and if that no good Luxio told everymon in his town what Sparks had done, which she knew was a guarantee, Sparks would be in big trouble.

And the last thing Melody wanted was the Pichu, who risked everything in his life to free her from a heartless sea captain, get thrown in a cage, being hated by others, sad, and alone...like Melody was before she met Sparks.

Water entered her eyes as she turned her head to the sleeping Pichu, who was snoozing due to Melody's Sing, and then she looked toward to the town nearby. She doesn't want Sparks to be sad, and she wants to help him back by bringing him to her home, where he'd be safe, loved, and happy.

She turned her head forward and started to focus again. She needed to be fast so that there would be nothing to slow her down. But then, all of a sudden, she felt a small shock of electric go up her body. The Lapras looked back at the part where she felt it, and then turned to the land beside her.

She almost brushed it off and looked away, but then, at the corner of her eye, she saw a Luxio running after her in the distance. Running fast.

Great...

Melody immediately turned forward and started swimming faster than she was before. Bolt saw the Lapras with his brother on it and smiled.

"They're just running away." He thought. Bolt looked ahead to see some of the current's twists and turns up ahead that Melody would have no choice but to take them, giving Bolt the prefect time to catch up to her.

Oh ya, he's coming for those two.

Melody was suddenly panicking. She just put him to sleep using Sing! How did he manage to wake up so fast? Now he's after her! Melody looked toward the turns ahead. All of those turns would slow her down, while Bolt could just run a nice straight path to easily catch up to her.

Not good at all. She turned toward Sparks again. She needed to get to the sea before Bolt stopped her, or even worse, Sparks woke up.

Sparks was never really given the chance to answer to the idea of living with her, as the few times she did bring it up he never answered due to Bolt interrupting them. So, she had no idea what would happen if he woke up.

She put her teeth together as she glimpsed toward the lion. He was hot on her tail, so she needed to think of something fast. She looked down at her fins. Maybe she could try Sparks' 'flying' idea so that she could fly over the land and wouldn't get slowed down from the turns?

No, too risky. She had only tried it once and it ended up having her drag across the hard stone ground, moving at a much, MUCH slower pace, plus, it could wake up Sparks.

Bolt was a bit annoyed about needing to run so fast again, but he could see his target in front of him, giving him the push he needed. And besides, maybe he could get some payback on her for freezing him all those times. He looked at the current of water in front of him, and saw that Melody was almost there. Bolt smiled, he could try to jump onto that backstabbing Lapras right there. He just needed to be fast enough to reach there first.

Melody went through the same turn, and realized that Bolt was charging straight at her, she knew it. But he'd need to be faster if he wants to try and catch her. Melody suddenly found a burst of energy and started to swim as fast as she could down the stream to outpace Bolt.

Bolt noticed this and wasn't happy. "No way you're getting away from me, you freak." He mumbled as he tried to match her speed. The two started to get closer and closer to one another, both of them not backing up, nor slowing down. They were both determined to be the faster one. Until they came within a few yards within each other, and Bolt came toward the water, and suddenly, Bolt jumped with all of his might, aiming straight for the shell.

It felt like time had stopped for the two Pokémon, as the Luxio was in the air. He was going to do it, he was going to stop the Ice-Type. Right here, right now.

But then, he stopped. Literally. Bolt's vison started to to get covered in a light pink color as he saw the same pink colors on the Lapras' eyes. Bolt instantly recognized the move. Psychic. For the few seconds he was floating in the air, he tried to break out of it, but to no avail.

He then looked to Sparks expecting him to have a look of amazement on his face, but then that's when he noticed something, Sparks was sound asleep.

Bolt then realized that Sparks wasn't doing any of this; it was all the Wild Pokémon's idea! It's her doing, not his!

But before he knew it, Melody threw Bolt straight into the small cliff behind her, and quickly made her getaway. Bolt braced himself as he slammed into what felt like a stone wall. He then fell to the ground. But the Spark Pokemon had a new plan. He thought back to the fight against the Beedrill, and remembered what Sparks did. He didn't fight, he thought of a way to stop it from happening. As much as it hurt to think like Sparks, he was right, like always.

Bolt got up from the ground, and immediately walked off the pain from his back, and started chasing the Lapras once more. He pulled himself back up onto the grass and saw the turtle at a far distance. At this rate, Bolt was worried that he wouldn't be able to catch up to her in time. But that was fine with him.

He didn't need to catch up to her anymore, all he needs to do is to wake up his brother, which would definitely cause her to stop, or better yet, cause Sparks to jump off the Lapras and apologize to Bolt for thinking that a Wild Pokémon was trustworthy, and admit that he was wrong from the start and he should always listen to him, and cause the Lapras to-

Wait, Bolt was getting ahead of himself. He needed to focus! Bolt started to get back to speed, but a little slower, due to his body not being 100%. He then took in a deep breath.

"SPARKS! WAKE UP!" He roared as loud as he could. As soon as Melody heard Bolt, she started to worry again, and saw what he was up to. Even if she was able to outswim Bolt, she'd have to be even faster if she didn't want to hear Bolt's yelling. And that's if Sparks wouldn't already wake up!

It then came to a simple conclusion. She needed to silence Bolt. For good.

Melody looked to her side to look to her left, and saw a Wingull, then looked at her right for Bolt as she started to noticeably slow down. Bolt started to get a bit cautious when he started to get closer and closer to her faster than normal. He then realized why when he saw a all to familiar cyan light in her mouth.

She shot the beam straight at him, but on instinct, Bolt jumped right over the beam and closer to the Lapras. But instead of taking this moment to attack her, which Bolt REALLY wanted to do, he screamed like a small Shinx girl would.

Did it feel embarrassing? Absolutely. But was this going to work? YES!

Melody looked down at Sparks, as he started to move around. She had enough of the Luxio and she screamed, "You will not ruin Sparks' life!" With tears in her eyes. "I can not let that happen to Sparks!"

She then fired another Ice Beam straight toward Bolt. He quickly jumped out of the way and yelled back. "Oh, I'm the one that's going to ruin Sparks' life? You're the one who's kidnapping him from his home!" He yelled. "Why, if I knew any better, you're no better than Gator!"

The Lapras snapped and looked at Bolt with a death stare that went straight to Bolt's soul, and he instantly regretted saying those words.

Melody, very angry, screamed, "GATOR KIDNAPPED ME FROM MY HOME! AND I'M SAVING SPARKS FROM HOME! You are going to tell Pokémon what Sparks did for me, and he will be put in cage for that! I don't want Sparks to be like me!"

Bolt was going to say something back, but then it hit him. She was right. What Sparks had done...he could actually be thrown into prison for that! Bolt suddenly had a panic attack. To hate his brother is one thing, but to be the one to get him into jail is a whole other level! One that Bolt's Shinx self wouldn't have the strength to do.

He just wanted to be the superior brother, to show Sparks his place, not the world's most cruel tattletale and lock him up!

Bolt needed to figure out what to say next to the furious Lapras, but he couldn't find much to say.

"Well, I won't tell them then!" He blurted out.

But the Lapras was having none of it, and completely turned around and charged toward Bolt, which scared him to death as she get closer to him. He came to a total stop, and even backed up as Melody barked, "Liar! You hate your bother! You stubborn! You care for yourself and not him! And you WILL tell other Pokémon!" With her mouth glowing with cyan.

And before Bolt could answer, or even jump out of the way, she fired the biggest Ice Beam he'd ever seen, and was frozen immediately.

The Lapras finally took a moment to look at the frozen Pokémon, and then turned away.

"Finally, he's done. It over." She thought as she started back down the current, just nearing the end. She could see the wide open sea, something she hadn't seen while with Gator. She was going to do it. She and Sparks were free at last.

"Agh, M-Melody?" Melody's pupils shrank. She turned to see Sparks starting to wake up.

"What's..." He yawned. "Going on?"

He then looked toward the sea, and then behind them. Sparks was then suddenly wide awake.

"W-Wait! Where's Bolt? Where are we?!" He yelled. He then looked ahead of them and then ran up Melody's head. "WHERE ARE WE GOING!?" He screamed.

Melody didn't like how he sounded and started to tear up again due to all of the recent stress on her. "I-I am taking you to my home, or Bolt will tell on you, and you will be caged." She answered.

Sparks' eyes went wide, and didn't really understand what she said at all. He wasn't still dreaming, right?!

He leaned down, came into Melody's view, and asked, "W-wait, what? Why-"

"Because you'll be like me!" She screamed with her eyes filled with tears. Sparks went silent, as this was the only time he had seen Melody like this. So panicked and sad. No, he had seen it before, and that was when they first met.

"I was alone in cage for many weeks! Working, hurt, tried, and alone." She closed her eyes as some memories started haunting her, pictures of her crying out for help, only to be whipped. Trying to find comfort while inside all of those heavy chains. Leading her to so many sleepless nights, bad dreams, and harder workdays in the morning.

She then looked at Sparks eye to eye. "You are kind Pokémon, you care for others, you sweet, you smart." She took a moment to breathe. "You can not go to jail because of me. That why I want to help you! I want you to change!"

Sparks froze as he remembered yesterday when she asked for help, and when she said she wanted to help. That's what she meant...

Now Sparks' eyes had tears as he started, "When you saw how sad I was..." He stopped, and started over, "How I didn't know what to do...you...you wanted to help me by doing this, didn't you?" He asked.

Melody put her head down. "You were crying, and I thought we needed to help each other."

Sparks had more tears in his eyes as he knew what he had to say next, but he barely had the strength to say it. "I'm sorry...but I can't!" Sparks yelled. "I can't leave my home! I don't want to!"

Sparks then jumped off the hard, gray shell and onto the soft, green grass. And before Melody could say anything, Sparks continued.

"I wanted to help you because I always believed that Wild Pokémon like you can change, and be just like us! And every second being with you has proven me right. Melody, I've enjoyed every moment I've spent with you but," He looked toward where his home was. "I can't change now, to go with you would be more like running away then changing for the better."

He looked at Melody again with tears running down his eyes. "I'm so sorry, but I can't go with you." He started to turn around. "And don't think about singing again!" He added as he put his paws over his crying eyes.

The Lapras stared at her friend, seeing him leave, she wanted to do something, anything that could change his mind, but she knew that would be impossible. She had more tears in her eyes, as she cried out, "Then I hope we see each other again!" Begging to get an answer from him.

Sparks then stopped and turned around to face the Lapras who had changed his life so much in the past day. "Me too, Melody." He said with a sad smile. The Lapras returned the smile as they looked at each other for some time. The Lapras then blinked and turned toward the ocean.

"Popplio?" She muttered to herself. Melody then looked back at Sparks one last time, and then, with her eyes full of tear, made her way to the ocean.

"Best wishes!" Sparks cried out to his new friend. As she started to get smaller and smaller, Sparks thought about Bolt...he had to be sleeping at the shore or at least somewhere around here, right?

Sparks looked around, but it didn't take too long until he saw a huge block of ice up against the current. He let out a small smirk. "Bolt just can't catch a break with her, can he?"

He then went toward the block of ice. It was a very VERY long day, but it's also been one of the greatest days he's ever had. But to face everymon again at home. Would that be just like how Melody said?

Sparks stopped and looked down. Could Melody be right? "Even if she is right, there's got to be one Pokémon who'll understand me." He thought. "We fight for those who can't." He recalled.

Sure, it might be tough going back home, but he did what was right. Now he just had to get Bolt out from his icey prison.

But then suddenly, he heard a scream.

"AGH!" A female Pokémon cried out, one that Spark clearly recognized.

Melody. Sparks then turned to where Melody had gone, but then froze as he saw two Wingulls charge straight at him.

Were they Gator's crewmates?! Sparks' mind went in full on panic mode. Gator's here?! How did he find him?! Should he help Bolt so he could help Melody? Or did he need to help Melody first? But all of Sparks' thinking left him wide open for the Wingull to attack him. "There he is! Get him!" One of them said as they dove at him. Sparks almost screamed, they were actually attacking him!

Sparks quickly jumped into the air to dodge the first one, but that left him wide open to get rammed in the chest by the second one. Sparks then flew towards the ground, and made a mark on the ground as he slammed into it. Sparks felt pain all over his body, and opened his eye and saw two Wingulls right in front of him.

"S-stay back!" Sparks cried, as he started to have sparks go around his body. The two birds looked at each other then flew right at Sparks. "AH!" He screamed.

Bolt's vison suddenly came back, as he started to come to. But it was then when he remembered that he was frozen...again. He really needed to find a better way to avoid those beams. Bolt started to move as much as he could, but that that was really more like shaking than moving. Something that wouldn't even come close to the amount of strength that he would need to breakout. At least in a short time.

But he didn't have much time. He needed to find another way out, and fast! Bolt decided to try Thunderbolt, as he had never done that before for something like this. He started to have electric flow up his legs and to his face, but, due to the sparks being held in by the ice, the electric started to press against Bolt. Bolt was stopped by the unexpected pain, and thought about what to do.

He really didn't want to get hurt anymore than he needed to, but if he was able to have enough energy, maybe he could blast out of the ice. Bolt thought about it more, and knew that he needed to do this if he had any chance on catching that turtle, and saving Sparks. Bolt closed his eyes, and once again felt the electric flow up his legs and to his face, only it hurt a little more now due to the larger amount of energy squeezing him.

But he stood strong, hearing the cracks around him.

"Come on!" He thought to himself.

*Crack*

"Just a little...longer!"

*Crack* *CRACK*

Bolt opened his eyes and all he could see was yellow and so many cracks in front of him, the sparks were roasting him all over himself, but just one more second and he should. Then, the ice cage around him broke.

Huge and small chunks of ice flew across Bolt's eyes and fell into the nearby grass or water current, while he shook off anything else that was on him. Bolt slowly stood up and took a moment to take pride in himself and look at what he was able to do. But he didn't last too long as his head turned to see where the Lapras had swam...hopefully.

He remembered that he needed to waste no time at all, so the first thing he needed to do was...

Bolt then looked closely down the current, and saw something that horrified him. A ship. Without another thought, Bolt started dashing down the water, and towards the mysterious ship. But Bolt's mind knew better, and every step he was hoping he was wrong!

He knew he had seen that ship before, two times in the last two days! He recognized the build, the color, and hoped that the Lapras wasn't there! He then looked toward his left and saw something that was even worse, two Wingull, carrying a Pichu.

Bolt picked up the pace as alarms went off. "This can't be happening. THIS CAN NOT BE HAPPENING TO ME!" Bolt continued running as he came up a hill.

And if things couldn't get any worse, it just did.

Right at the end of the current leading to the great big ocean, there was a huge, long, brown ship blocking its way, so much in fact, that Bolt had no idea how he didn't notice it sooner. He looked down to see Melody, surrounded by several crewmates, all using attacks to block her, as she was struggling to get out.

A Water Gun slapped her right in the face, causing her to close her eyes. Leaving the crewmates clear to attack and tie her up.

"Help! Mmf!" Melody cried out as she was being tied up in an all too familiar way, the turtle Pokémon used Psychic to throw off a Marstomp from her head and into the water.

She then looked at the remaining sailors, when suddenly, two huge blue claws grabbed her neck, and covered her mouth. The beast then slid a sleep seed right into her mouth, as she realized it was the same mon who did it before.

"Gator." She thought as she quickly grew tired and fell asleep. Bolt watched in horror as the Feraligatr jumped off the Lapras and left the rest of the crewmates to finish tying it up, he then went up to the dock, where there were the two Wingulls with Bolt's brother were about to land.

"Let me go! Please! Stop this!" Cried out the Small Mouse Pokemon. Sparks did his best to break free, but then he looked toward Gator's ship, seeing everything that he worked so hard on, gone. Melody was sleeping and being tied up again, and Gator was back.

Everything was falling apart.

And before he could think about it anymore, Sparks was thrown by the birds right onto the wooden deck, landing on his chest, he picked himself up and then looked up to see the captain staring down at him face to face. And the captain looked huge, and very crossed.

"Sparks, was it?" He started as he came closer to the mouse, who slowly started to crawl backwards. "I don't know what your parents teach you, but I'm sure it doesn't involve DOING ANYTHING LIKE THIS!" He yelled at the Pichu.

"The damage you caused! You threw a rock into my schedule! I lost precious time because of you, and for what?" He then grabbed Sparks left ear and lifted him off the ground. "Do you have any idea what you want out of this!?" He yelled at Sparks, who had a tear fall from his eye from both the pain and fear, but he wasn't planning on crying yet.

"Do you know what YOU'RE doing?!" Sparks yelled back. "You're kidnapping this Lapras and forcing her to do things against her will!"

Bolt let out a small gasp. Sparks was talking back to somemon who could easily fit Sparks in his CLAW!

Gator showed his teeth. "She's a wild Pokémon, kid."

"She's somemon who can talk and think for herself!" Sparks returned.

Gator was now through with Sparks. "She deserves it!" He yelled as he threw Sparks across the ship's deck and into a wooden wall, causing it break apart as the Pichu cried out in pain.

Bolt had seen enough. He needed to stop this, now. Bolt felt all of his anger bottled up inside of him, and he let it all out.

"HEY!" He roared at the crew. Gator felt a slight part of fear go through his body, but it fled as he turned around and saw the Luxio coming down from the hill and right towards him.

"Well, this should be interesting." Gator looked to the two Wingull, then at Sparks. "Watch him, and don't allow him to do anything fishy." The Water-Type ordered.

"Aye' Captain." They said at once.

Bolt ran toward the ship before Gator could say anything else, he went into the water and right by the other sailors who were tying up the Lapras.

"Don't think about it, don't think about it." He thought to himself as he got closer to the ship. First thing was first, and that was his brother.

"Gator!" He yelled. "What's going on here?!" He demanded as he climbed up the ship.

Gator welcomed the lion and took a step toward him. "Bolt, it's about time you showed up." He said with a jolly mood.

"That's not my question." Bolt groaned.

The captain took a breath in, trying to remain calm. "Well, if you have to know, I was in the neighborhood, and saw the Lapras. So I decided to take back what is rightfully mine."

"She's not yours! You kidnapped her!" Sparks yelled from the other side of the conversation. "Quiet you!" Gator snapped at the small Pokémon. Sparks let out a small yelp, which made the Luxio sick.

He then looked at Bolt and smiled. "I bet you're wondering how I was able to find you, aren't ya?" He asked.

Bolt didn't like where he was going, so he ignored his question. "No." He answered trying to change the subject, but Gator could sense that Bolt was scared to find out the answer to the question.

"Oh, you don't want to find out? Well, that's fine." He said as he reached into his blue coat to grab something. Sparks wondered what he was looking for, and saw that he pulled out some sort of compass and showed it to Bolt.

And once Bolt saw it, Sparks saw him turn white. Gator grinned even more as he touched the Aura Stone on the compass and spoke into it. Then suddenly, his voice came out of Bolt's bag. "But I wasn't asking you. I was asking your brother." Gator said through the compasses. "See how useful this was to help him find you? Your brother didn't tell me when he found you."

Bolt's heart dropped harder than an anchor as he heard those words. He then turned to Sparks, who's ears dropped to the ground with more tears, then at Gator, who had a wicked look on his face. And it was then when Bolt realized it. Gator was able to find them, not because Sparks told somemon, or because of a mistake he made, but it was because of him.

Bolt couldn't find any words, he looked at the Lapras and couldn't help but feel bad for her now knowing that he was used as bait the whole time.

"Bolt...WE HAD A DEAL!" The Pichu cried out with tears in his eyes.

Bolt looked at his brother, and spoke back to him. "No Sparks, I didn't know about that! Honest!"

But Sparks didn't want to hear it. "Liar! You hid the compass from us!"

"T-that was to just save my skin so-"

"So you could just rattata us out and get me thrown into jail!" Sparks wined. "You said it yourself, you never liked me, and I bet you never liked the Lapras either!" Bolt closed his eyes, he wanted to say something, but no matter what way he looked at it, Sparks was right.

"Melody was right, I should have gone with her, because YOU'RE! SO! SELFFISH!

It was too much for him. Not only was he the reason Gator found Sparks, but he was the whole reason Sparks did this in the first place. If he would have just never yelled at his brother, Sparks would have never met Melody in the first place and try to break her out. Everything that happened this day, was because of him.

Because he wanted to put dirt in Sparks eye. Because he needed to be the better brother...

Gator smiled at the Luxio, who was beginning to shake. "Listen up Bolt, let me ask you something, do you really believe that the Lapras can change?" He asked, while pointing to the Pokémon.

Bolt opened his eyes and looked down at her again, and started to really think about it. "It can understand and talk all it wants to, but deep down, it'll always be a Wild Pokémon, and that's something no mon can change." Gator finished.

The lion thought back to all the times she froze him, the time where she wanted him thrown down the river, the time where she left him to get attacked by the Beedrill, all of those were things Bolt just couldn't get over with. He couldn't give out the answer Sparks would want, but he didn't have the strength to agree with Gator either.

But one thing was for sure, he needed to prove to Sparks that he never meant for any of this to happen, otherwise, he wouldn't even be sure if he'd see him again.

Then, in a moment, it felt like Bolt's Shinx-self took the wheel of his body, he may not care about the Lapras, but he knew that he needed Sparks back. Because he couldn't imagine what his parents would think of him coming home without Sparks.

Yellow electric went down his legs as he used Thunder Wave to paralyze the Feraligatr. Bolt then slid his way past the captain and ran to the Wingulls. He couldn't believe he was doing this.

"Sparks! Run, now!" Bolt yelled at Sparks, as more electric went up his body. Sparks then jumped out from the two Wingulls as his brother shot a Thunderbolt straight towards them. The Wingulls didn't get a chance to move out of the way before they were both roasted by the amounts of lightning going through their bodies.

Bolt looked at both the birds faint from the attack and his turned to Sparks, who was standing still. Bolt blinked. "What are you doing! Go!" Bolt yelled at him. Sparks looked at Bolt and saw that he was holding tears back. "But...Melody." He said.

Bolt dropped his mouth. "You still want that thing! She tried to kidnap you! Lets get out while we-" But then almost immediately, a blue claw grabbed his neck, and before Bolt could do anything about it, he saw the eyes of Gator.

"Too late, Luxio." He said as he threw off the lion off of his ship and into the water.

"Bolt!" Sparks cried out. Bolt cried in pain as he landed on his back hard onto the ground, with the water only slightly blocking his fall. Bolt turned and saw Gator jump from the ship and down to Bolt's level. He felt the earth shake as the Captain landed perfectly. Bolt started to back up from Gator, limping.

"You don't know the answer, now do you?" Gator sneered as he showed his claws. Bolt had a tear go down his face. "I don't alright!" He answered as he got up, trying to look the captain in the eye. "But I'm get my brother out of this! He's my responsibility."

Sparks looked down at Bolt and saw him helpless against Gator. Sparks needed to think of something to help him. He looked over to Melody. Maybe he if he was lucky, he could try-

But then suddenly a bag fell onto Sparks' head and exploded into dust all over him. "Hey!" Sparks said as he coughed from the dust. "What was..." He suddenly lost all his strength. "That..." And then fell asleep.

A Wartortle then revealed himself behind the ships pole and grabbed Sparks to take him away.

"Captain! Sparks is asleep!" Wave called out.

To which Gator looked up towards him and replied. "Good, take him away and lock him up in my ship! We need him, alright?"

"Yes Captain!" He said.

"What?! Need him?!" Bolt exclaimed. "Why?!"

Gator let out a small chuckle. "I'm sorry about this, but I plan on using your brother to help us at Red Currents. He seems to be the only one the Lapras will listen to, and I plan on having him ride the thing to grab something for us." He said rather calmly. Bolt eyes shrank as he remembered how the place got it's name. "But, you're going to Red Currents! You could kill him there! You can't be serious!"

"We have an order that I need to retrieve and deliver, and your brother needs to pay us back for what he did to my ship and that Lapras." Gator stated. "I'll make sure he's fine, promise. You'll have him back in no time."

But Bolt wasn't too pleased by that in the slightest. The captain had already held things back from him, so he wasn't in the mood to play games.

"No, I saw everything from up there alright?! The way you carelessly grabbed him by the ear and threw him into that wall over there! You could have knocked him out cold, and you didn't care at all. All you care about the money you'll get from your buyer!"

Bolt yelled as his energy shot back into him. He then screamed, "Take this!" As he unleashed what felt like his biggest Thunderbolt ever towards Gator. But the captain was unfazed by it. He threw his blue coat at the lightning, causing the coat to take in the attack, but instead of destroying it, it sucked it all up like a vacuum, leaving Bolt wide open.

Bolt's heart stopped as he saw the huge Pokémon charging straight for him with furious eyes and a sharp purple claw. But not just any claw, Dragon Claw. Gator slashed Bolt's belly giving Bolt only a glimpse to see his blood thirsty eyes before he was sent flying into the edge of the sea.

Bolt landed what felt even harder into the shore, feeling the salt from the water burn his chest. He only had the strength to open his eyes, only to see a huge Ice Beam come right at him.

You can not be serious.

Bolt then felt the familiar cold coat cover him once again, as he became a block of ice once more. Bolt was too weak to try and fight it. Chasing Melody and fighting Gator took a lot out of him, and now, there was nothing left that he could do as he blacked out.

He was defeated.

The captain looked at his frozen foe slowly floating out into the ocean and into the sunset, he then let out a sigh of relief as he grabbed his now burnt coat.

"Captain!" A Wingull called out from the top of the ship. "There's something coming out from the horizon! It looks like some sort of huge Pokémon! What should we do?" He asked.

Gator turned to look where the bird was looking, and saw something there too, he then turned towards him. "Lift up the anchor, now!" He ordered the crew as he made his way up his ship. "I don't want anything else to slow us down today!"

"Sir, the Lapras is all set!" A crewmate called.

"And so is the Pichu!" Another one called.

Gator smiled and yelled "Finally! About time." Before he ordered, "Now let's get moving and get the heck out of here!"

Slowly, but surely the ship lifted up its gray anchor, and it started to move away from land and away from the sun.

Gator grab his coat and brushed it off a few times. He felt the rest of the electric leave him as he covered himself with it. Glad he got an electric proof coat, saves the trouble of being a Water-Type.

Wave then appeared by his side and asked, "Sir, is that Luxio going to be alright?"

Gator turned to the chunk of ice as he got farther and farther away from it.

"He'll...he'll be fine." He sighed. "I just want to rest now. I dealt with so many things in such a short time, taking a break is the only thing I want to do now. Besides, that Luxio was pretty strong, not going to lie. He should make it out just fine." The captain said as slowly walked past the turtle and toward his room, the Wartortle then took one more look at the Lion, then turned away.

"Oh, my goodness!" A small female voice cried out. "We need to help that thing!"
