"Are they here yet, mommy." Peter heard Shocket ask him.
"Not yet kiddo, plus good thing Grabdpa Jason went on vacation with his friends, he might get you living here but your pops and Lylla might flip him out." Peter replied to her.
"We explained to him, remember…., you explained…" Shocket replied yawning in her wheelchair
"Yeah but maybe justvzone out, I'll let you know when they get here." he replied.
"Okay… Linda can help, she's good at that." Shocket said zoning out, relieving him as he was excited to have Rocket visit along with Lylla as he'd heard a lot about her from his friend, knowing the Fourth of July would be fun but he'd did this more for Shocket as she liked Earth but got a lil homesick and her partner, Itsy was busy so he figured that seeing her dad might help, but had been worried about how Jason would have reacted even though he fouhd Shocket adorable abd hilarious despite her being furry and being a talking raccoon kit he might not be used to her dad, his soulmate and their kits visiting, though Shocket had giggled hysterically imagining Grandpa Jason's reaction.
But hearing engines outside brought him out of his thoughts, seeingva certain ship landing outside the house, grinning knowing it was them deciding to wait to wake Shocket up unaware her Guardian of Imagination, Linda was already doing this but surprised seeing how big Flower, Quill, Lyllie and RJ had grown but surprised seeing Honey seeing Rocket activate the cloaking-device just so any Terrans didn't get curious or worried which he thought a good idea.
"Did you bring fireworks, like I asked." he whispered to Rocket.
"Yep, and it's gonna be awesome, is Shocket okay." he replied to him.
"Yeah, she's inside and was impatiently waiting for you." he replied making Rocket grin as he went inside the house while Lylla was calming the kits down and bringing them and the things they needed out of the ship seeing Shocket happy to see him hugging him along with Linda.
"Mommy Quill's been helping and making sure I take my meds, plus Grandpa Jason thinks I'm awesome, too bad he went on vacation with his friends." she told him making Rocket smirk along with Peter seeing Lylla enter with the kits who were super-excited to see Shocket asking if she was okay and if she'd ran away from home.
"No I didn't, dad let mommy Quill bring me here." she to,d them drinking hot cocoa which wascalming herdown but Lylla noticed how calm Shocket was being around her, so was getting the kits to bed only Rocket was going to help Lylla put the kits to bed, thenhe'd come back and talk with Peter knowing Shocket would want to stay up.
"I'll be right back honey, I gotta put your sibs to bed plus you gotta sleep too." Rocket said to Shocket.
That next morning, the kits woke up but remembered they were at uncle Quill's house getting up, seeing Shocket asleep on the couch grinning as they cuddled with her making Linda grin at this warning them to be gentle with their claws hearing the kits ask why.
"She's still healing from an adventure and hasstitches which is why you've gotta be careful as she likes cuddling with her mommy Quill and me plus it's why she has the chair and sleeps on the couch, herbody isn't better yet." Linda explained making themget it seeing Shocket touching one of the kits gently with her paw which RJ felt was weak.
"We got you AuntiecShocket just like our mommy and daddy help us, when we don't feel good." he said.
"Ohhhhh you guys are awake and keeping Shocket company, that's good as she sleeps long compared to uncle Quill but let's get some breakfast." Rocket told them seeing Lylla nodding in agreement, seeing Peter up getting Shocket's meds seeing Rocket decide to help in case Shocket was in a mood to not want her meds.
