Post-Canon
"Donna, you've been here 40 minutes." Harvey says, tired of waiting.
"Really?" She asks surprised, with a book in her hand.
"Really." He snorts. "We won't make it to Mike and Rachel's dinner."
"We will Harvey, don't worry."
"You want to change your clothes, right?"
"Yes." She shrugs.
"It never takes less than an hour to change and fix yourself."
"Harvey!" She complains. "I haven't bought books in a few months, leave me."
"Don't you think 7 books are enough?"
"Mhm... No." She giggles.
"Really?"
"Five more minutes, please."
"I don't want to hear the kid say that we're late because we're two newlyweds who have sex all the time when I was standing here like an idiot." He whispers.
She chuckles. "Not like an idiot, like my husband." She smiles at him.
"I must admit, I didn't think being your husband would have dull moments."
"Stop complaining or you won't have a reward."
He looks at his watch again. "There are 4 minutes left."
Donna runs onto a bookshelf and Harvey stares at her, a few steps away from her, leaning against the wall.
She comes and goes, back and forth, grabs a book, looks at it, leaves it, grabs another one, and starts over. Read the back cover, look at them inside, compare editions... She looks at them with a serious face, as if it were an important matter.
She really looks like a little girl in a toy shop.
Harvey approaches her when the 5 minutes pass and she rolls her eyes when she sees him coming.
"I waited more than an hour while you chose your new boxing gloves." She says.
"And I waited an hour while you bought dresses. You're losing here, Paulsen. You can't argue."
"But..."
"But?"
She snorts. "I just need to ask the difference between these editions."
"Just this?"
"Yes, promise."
"Okay. You want me to go line up for pay? There are quite a lot of people."
"Ok." She smiles at him and gives a short kiss on his lips.
When they leave the store, Harvey sees Donna carry the heavy bags with some effort.
"You can with these bags?"
"I bought books before, Harvey."
"I know, but now you have a muscular husband. You can use me if you want."
She smiles at him. "If you don't mind."
"Give me." He says taking the bags.
"Thank you."
"You're welcome, but now walk, or we won't make it."
"Really your rush to get there is because of Mike's jokes?"
"He gets unbearable and it's not even true."
"It was last week."
"Let's not give him any reason."
"Ok, we must arrive early so we can leave early." She tells him by passing her hand on his back.
"I could never refuse that plan."
