Post-Canon

It's Saturday around noon. Harvey returns from the gym and finds Donna still in bed, wearing her nightgown, with a pad under her abdomen, drinking tea, and with her face paler than normal.

They've been living together for several months, so he can quickly identify what's going on there.

Without saying anything, he curls up next to her and gives her a tender kiss on her arm, bringing his hand to her abdomen. She smiles softly and looks at him.

"Are you watching Leap Year again?" He chuckles.

"Hi Donna, good morning. How are you? How do you feel? Do you need something?" She rolls her eyes.

Harvey giggles. "Yes, that's what I would have told you if you had been watching absolutely every other movie in the world, and not one where he proposes marriage without knowing each other."

"You know that just because it's taken you over a decade doesn't mean it takes everyone the same amount of time..." She chuckles.

Harvey puts his hand on her pad and notices that it's not that warm anymore. "Do you want me to warm it up again?"

"Yes, change the topic of conversation." She chuckles again.

"Look Donna, I'm going to come here with you to watch this shit movie... Appreciate that."

Donna drags her fingers between his hair and smiles. "Ok, please warm it up."

"Did you eat something?"

"No, I just drank some tea."

"Do you want to eat something and a pill?"

"Yes, please." She smirks at him and Harvey comes over to give her a sweet kiss on her lips. "Do you want me to stop the movie until you come back?" She asks, funny.

"You don't have to make that sacrifice for me." They giggle and Harvey gets up.

"Ok, just come back wanting to pamper me." She says, making a puppy face. "I'll let you complain a few times about the movie if you do." They giggle again and Harvey goes to the kitchen.

After a few minutes, Donna has the pad on her again and is eating a toast. Harvey is sitting next to her, also eating a toast. He drinks coffee, and she drinks another tea.

Donna takes the pill at the end of breakfast and snuggles up against her husband. She feels how he surrounds her with his arms.

"You should have warned me about this before we got married." He says, funny.

"I'm sorry for being a woman, Harvey." She responds to him in the same way.

"I meant this stupid movie!"

Donna giggles. "God! Stop complaining and move your hands in my hair."

"Do you want something more milady?" He asks by bringing his hand to her head and scratching gently with his fingers there.

"Reach that blanket, I'm cold." She says laughing. "You shouldn't have asked."

Harvey snorts, only to annoy her, and reaches the blanket that was closest to him and puts it on her body.

"Thank you." She says.

"You know I can see you perfectly trying to escape from cows in heels that cost 600 dollars."

"Don't bother me!"

"You're not very adventurous." He tells her. "And you also travel in heels, which I don't quite understand."

"I like them." She shrugs.

"Same as with your Louis." He giggles and she pinches his arm, bothering him.

After this, Harvey agrees to spend some time quietly, criticizing the stupid film only mentally, until Donna starts laughing when Amy Adams' character starts rolling down the hill.

"You always laugh with that Donna." He says laughing.

"You too!"

"You know your laughter seems contagious to me. And you laugh because you're watching it here, you wouldn't be laughing like that if your coat of I don't know how many dollars was full of mud."

"Could you stop making fun of me?" She snorts.

"Ok, ok." He kisses her head. "Do you feel a little better?"

"Yes, a little bit." She smiles. "Thanks."

The movie continues and Harvey controls his comments, but some can't help it.

"The only way you approach a kitchen... If there is wine!"

"Harvey, don't take advantage of the fact that I don't have the energy to hit you with a pillow." She snorts and Harvey hugs her tightly. "Not that I can't resist being hugged like that." She rolls her eyes.

Harvey says nothing, just rolls slowly on her and full of sweet kisses on her face, her neck, and her lips.

"Can we watch Notting Hill or The Notebook in your next period? I think they're better than this."

"So many bad comments about this film... but you realize you did something like in the movie, right?"

"What?" He asks surprised.

"You gave me your mother's ring," She says softly and with a smile. "And you married a redhead."

"I really prefer this redhead." He says sweetly and kisses her. "And no one else in the world could have my mom's ring."

She smiles. "I love you, Harvey, even if you won't let me watch a movie in peace." She giggles, softly.

"I love you, my favorite redhead." He kisses her again and even though she enjoys it, her body is tense under him and he notices it. "I'm sorry." He tells her, moving to the side.

"It's that... it hurts." She says by looking at her breasts and putting her hands on her lower abdomen.

"I know, come here." He says by opening his arms again. She smiles and snuggles up again against him.
"Do you promise me that one day we will go to Ireland together?"

He smiles against her forehead. "I promise, only if you take sneakers in addition to heels on your Louis."

She giggles. "I promise." She pauses and focuses on the movie again. "What would you have done if someone had forced us to kiss us like that?" She asks him with curiosity and lifts her head to look at him.

"I wouldn't have missed the opportunity." He says, completely honest and with a smile on his lips. "Being forced to share a bed with you wouldn't have been that bad either."

"So... All I had to do was arrange a work trip in a place with no rooms available?" She chuckles.

Harvey stays a few seconds looking at her, smiling like an idiot. "It can be... But, I'd rather have you in our own bed." He tells her by squeezing her again against him.
"Ok, I prefer this too." She pauses, closes her eyes, and takes a deep breath. "It's my favorite place, here and with you." She murmurs and Harvey responds by stroking her hair and giving her a kiss on her forehead.

Donna will celebrate her next birthday in Ireland with her husband. (and with more heels than sneakers in her Louis, of course.)

Hello people! It's been a long time since I showed up here and it feels weird, I hope to still be welcomed haha :)
