Post-Canon

It's Sunday afternoon and Donna and Harvey are in a coffee shop. "The day is too nice to spend the day locked at home," she said, and although Harvey insisted they have a vast garden to enjoy, she insisted enough to walk out and enjoy the day. Not that Harvey didn't want to, it was just that his plans to enjoy the day didn't include wearing clothes, and she knew it, so she promised that he would have his compensation later. Their cups and dishes are already empty, and they're just there snuggling on each other in the shared seat of their table.

Donna repeatedly smooches his cheek, without peeling her lips off his skin, while he can't help but smile like a fool. "I can't believe you make me do these things in public."

"What things?" she smirks against his cheek.

"You make me behave like a man in love."

He responds by turning his head until his nose collides with hers.

"Aren't you a man in love?" she chuckles, fondly squeezing his biceps with her hands.

He just chuckles against her lips and kisses her. "Aren't you going to admit it?"

"Admit that I am in love with you? It took me a while, but I already admitted it." He responds, moving only a few inches from her to seat correctly a strand of her hair that was falling off the opposite side to what it should be. He gently slides his hand to her shoulder and kisses her again, this time wrapping her amid his arms, and she blushes, although she doesn't break him. In fact, she surrounds his neck with her arms and lets him enter her mouth.

"We're two fools in love." She murmurs with a chuckle, her eyes still closed.

"Yes, we are." He responds and gives her one last kiss. "We asked for the check? I can't hold back anymore."

"I haven't noticed that you're holding too much." She murmurs as her gaze lowers to his lips.

"You know what I mean." He responds, raising his eyebrow and squeezing her thigh.

"Harvey!" she growls low.

"I ask for the check?" He insists and squeezes her again, this time closer to her groin. She hums, biting her lower lip, and nods.

So, Harvey does and a few minutes later, they're out. The day has already ceased to be so nice because the sun has gone down and they have several blocks to walk to get to their home. Donna crosses her arms before Harvey reaches for her hand, because they usually walk hand in hand, and she's begging for two things. First: wind stopping for a while. Second: her husband hugging her on the way home.

"Shit, it's cold." She curses.

"I told you, you should have brought a sweater," He says.

Seriously? Donna thinks and rolls her eyes. "It's true. You said it." She responds, trying to hide her annoyance, and speeds up the pace, getting a little ahead.

What the hell is wrong with her? Harvey thinks and grunts. He gives a few steps longer, until when he's about to reach her, a lady crosses, and must let her pass.

Now, Donna is much further ahead, and he puts his own pride aside and gives a small run until reaches her.

"What's wrong?" he asks because he really doesn't understand what happened.

"Nothing Harvey, I'm just in a hurry to get home. I'm cold."

"No, you are upset with me."

She shrugs. "I know you told me to bring a sweater, and I didn't, but maybe you could have hugged me." She snorts.

He grins, deeply in love with that redhead.

"Did you get angry because I didn't hug you?" she shrugs again and dodges his gaze. He takes her by the hand and gently pulls her to the side of the sidewalk, in front of a house. And although she refuses, because her body is stiff, he wraps her against him. "Come on, you can't be angry about this."

"So much hassle is hugging me?" she grunts.

"Never." He murmurs against her neck and gives her a soft kiss there that loosens her completely. "Come on, hug me too." He chuckles against her neck.

"Now I don't want to." She says, trying to sound angry. Harvey giggles and gives her a kiss behind her earlobe, which causes her knees to lose stability, but still she doesn't hug him. "Don't you want to?"

"No," she gets loose from him and walks back fast to get away. He giggles at her attitude and runs to reach her. She has to break before crossing, as the light is green, so he takes advantage to hug her back.

"Are you tough, huh?" he chuckles against her cheek and gives her a kiss there.

"Hug me on the way home, please." She murmurs, letting herself be defeated.

"I will, and I promise you I will also compensate you when we get home."

"Better than you do, Specter." She walks when the light turns red and crosses the street. He does it behind her. Their hands join on the way. Once they climb back to the sidewalk, Harvey hugs her by her shoulders and she drops her head on his shoulder while joining her hand to that of him, which falls in front of her shoulder. Her other hand wraps his waist.

"I love you, touchy," he mutters with his lips in her hair.

She can't help giggling and raises her head to find his face. "I love you too, man who doesn't know how to interpret what I tell him.

"What if, instead of hinting at it, do you just tell me?"

"Come on, I've known what you wanted without you having to say it for years."

"Well, but you are Donna. I'm just Harvey."

"Just Harvey?" she giggles.

"Just Harvey." He responds, seriously.

"Ok, just Harvey... Please, the next time I complain I'm cold, hug me."

"Ok, I have already made a mental note."

Donna chuckles. "Ok, I'll also leave a sticky note on your desk, just in case."

"I miss your sticky notes on my desk."

"I promise to leave you some soon."

"And I promise to hug you when you're cold."

"Ok, deal." She smiles at him and gives him a quick kiss on the lips, then they continue to walk quietly, hugging each other until they arrive home.
