Dancing Monkey and Sun Dragon and Intruder?
The Beacon Dance have started great everyone as some have start to take the first dance with the music playing by the DJ, Yang and Kakarot are among the dancers though the latter is having a little trouble keeping up with the movements.
"We're not slipping on banana peels." Yang giggled.
"Sorry, I never really done this before even on my and Blake's birthday parties." Kakarot said nervously as he tries to make sure he doesn't step on her feet.
"I can see that, but I think I know of a way to help you." Yang grinned.
"Really, how?" Kakarot asked.
"Just think of this as combat training where you only have to work on your footwork, move at just the right moment and go for it." Yang stated.
"Huh, if you think would help." Kakarot decided to give it a try.
As they continue dancing, Kakarot pretend this is combat training like Yang said moving his feet carefully after a few dozen steps, the monkey Belladonna was finally able to dance properly and perform a twirl on Yang as he laughs in victory.
"No way, I'm actually dancing!" Kakarot surprised at him.
"See, I knew you could do it." Yang smiled.
Then Blake and Sun enter the picture as they were dancing along the way seeing Yang and Kakarot enjoying themselves.
"Rocking the dancefloor, you two." Sun complimented.
"Never thought I would see the day my baby brother is actually dancing, mom is gonna flip when she hears about this." Blake giggled.
"Don't you dare, mom would never let me down on this." Kakarot exclaimed.
"Exactly, it'll be a riot, especially when she hears that you also got yourself a girlfriend." Blake said with a teasing smirk.
"Oh god…" Kakarot sighed.
"I know the pain; my dad can be embarrassing to death too." Yang mentioned, petting Kakarot's head.
"The pain from families is never easy to get use, but you can never stop loving them." Jaune said dancing his way there with Pyrrha.
"About time you two hook up." Yang excited.
"Color me impress; I think Neptune would find that cool." Sun complimented.
"Thanks guys and thank you Kakarot for encouraging me to ask Pyrrha out." Jaune thanked.
"I just had a gut feeling that you two would be better off together." Kakarot smirked.
"And that gut feeling is what brought us together." Pyrrha smiled, resting her head on Jaune's chest making him blush a little.
The first dance is done, and the three pairs walk to the punch bowl where Weiss and Ruby are waiting for them as they smile upon seeing Blake here.
"You had us worry, you know that?" Weiss said.
"I'm sorry guys, I promise I won't let the thoughts of the White Fang make me do something I would have regrated later, and I hope I can still count on you guys." Blake smiled.
"Of course, you can." Ruby hugged Blake who hugs her back, and then Yang and Weiss joins in for a full team RWBY hug.
"Well, then I would like to say that it's mission accomplished." Weiss smiled proudly.
"So, what now?" Ruby asked.
"Just have fun, I'm sure there are plenty of things to do in the dance." Jaune suggested as he and Pyrrha walk away.
"What he said." Sun shrugged before he and Blake went in another direction.
"Babe, I'm gonna go back to the podium to greet some more guests." Yang gestured to the podium with her thumb.
"That's cool, I'll be hanging back here waiting for you." Kakarot said before getting a kiss on the cheek by Yang.
"I'll be counting the seconds." Yang grinned as she walks away.
"I'll be scouting around for a bit." Weiss said going to a random table.
"Does that mean I can change out of these stupid things and into my hood now?" Ruby asked, but nobody answer her.
"Stupid lady stilts!" Ruby muttered complaining.
"Wow, and I thought I company when I get hungry." Kakarot commented.
"Because not to not to give yourself a "trip" to the dancefloor." Kakarot punned.
"Oh god, your puns are just as bad as Yang's. You two are definitely meant for each other." Ruby exclaimed.
"Yeah, surprise we are, but you got to least let yourself enjoy a fun night like this." Kakarot stated.
"He is right, you know." Ozpin agreed as he walks up to his two students.
"Oh, hello Professor Ozpin, I'm trying for everyone's sake but it just I'm just not much of a fancy pantsy... dancey girl." Ruby chuckled nervously.
"Well, you can't spend your whole life on the battlefield, even if you may want to." Ozpin pointed out.
"Hey, my dad would say the same thing whenever I wanted to talk about fighting strong fighters." Kakarot recalled words similar like that from his adopted father, Ghira.
"Yeah, looks like that lesson's been floating around a lot more than before." Ruby crossed her arms.
"If you think about it, fighting and dancing aren't so different. Two partners interlocked, although one wrong move on the ballroom merely leads to a swollen foot." Ozpin stated.
"Or a twisted ankle." Ruby said looking down at her own feet.
"Yang actually helped with getting use to the dancing, she said to treat it like combat training or something like that." Kakarot mentioned.
"It's not every day that friends are able to come together like this. Time has a way of testing our bonds, but it's nights like these that can help keep them stronger than ever. Nights like these are ones we'll never forget." Ozpin looked around seeing everyone is having a good time.
"Yeah, it does feel different than fighting and its good too." Kakarot nodded.
"(Yet why do I get a weird feeling that something is happening during the dance.)" Kakarot thought.
Yang is standing at the podium waiting for some more students to come for the dance and saw Mercury and Emerald coming in through the door.
"You guys are just in time!" Yang welcomed them.
"Wouldn't miss it for the world." Mercury smirked.
"Great, as you can you see, the dance is great, and everyone is having a good time as you all will too." Yang proclaimed.
"Yeah, definitely look like something you and your friends put together." Emerald commented as she and Mercury walk past Yang.
Meanwhile back with Ruby and Kakarot, they are just standing together at the punchbowl drinking some punch though Kakarot didn't like how it taste and just drank water, then Krillin comes in.
"Hey Kakarot, this dance sure is fun, isn't it?" Krillin asked.
"You got that right, Yang and Weiss really did a great job setting this up, with our help, of course." Kakarot said.
"Totally, and hey, I think I have found my dream girl." Krillin informed.
"Really? Who is she?" Ruby asked.
"Oh, let just say she's a real cutie despite having a cold stare most of the time though she is caring in her own way. Anyway, I ask her for a dance, and she agreed, only because she was bored, but I think I can turn that around." Krillin explained.
"Well, if you think this girl is the right one for you then go for it. Don't hold anything back, and this time I don't mean fighting." Kakarot advised.
"Thanks man, and congrats on you and Yang getting together." Krillin complimented.
"Yeah, I'm really happy for you two." Ruby smiled at Kakarot.
Kakarot smiles from the compliment though he noticed from a little distance that Weiss is trying to get one flower to stand up, yet he can sense a little sadness within her which is odd.
"Hey Ruby, did Weiss came here with a date or by herself?" Kakarot asked.
"Oh yeah, now that you mention it, I didn't see Neptune with her too." Krillin said.
"Oh, Weiss came to the dance alone. Said something about she had too much to focus on to worry about boys." Ruby explained.
"Huh, that… doesn't feel right for some reason." Kakarot stated.
"Yeah, she looked like she was looking forward to asking him out." Krillin said thinking there is more than what's going on.
"Hey guys, your conversation sounds like someone is in trouble." Jaune walked in as he overheard the last part with Pyrrha.
"We were just talking about Weiss who came to the dance alone." Krillin mentioned.
"Alone? But I thought she was gonna ask Neptune to the dance." Jaune confused.
"That's what I said." Krillin said.
Jaune turns to see Neptune is laughing with Sun and Blake from a joke they were doing and look at Weiss still looking sad.
"Jaune, are you going to talk with Neptune?" Pyrrha asked.
"I am, I need to know what's going on and give that guy a talking he'll never forget." Jaune declared.
"Wait for me, okay." Jaune kissed Pyrrha on the cheek before walking away.
"I'm not sure if we should be worried or glad that Jaune is going to take action in this." Ruby surprised to see Jaune act this way.
"That is just Jaune being himself." Pyrrha smiled proudly of her boyfriend.
"Hey Kakarot, I'm up for another dancing time and I'm hoping that my monkey would come dance with me." Yang smirked and offering her hand to him.
"Sure, anything for my sun dragon woman." Kakarot accepted and takes Yang to the dance.
Yang and Kakarot started dancing again through the music though a little faster as they stare into each other's eyes, then decided to make this a little funny by doing the dip on Kakarot which caught him off by surprise.
"I'm no excerpt on dancing, but I'm pretty sure the guy is supposed to do that." Kakarot said.
"I know, I just wanted to make this more fun for us." Yang giggled.
"Excuse me, you two." Glynda walked up to them.
"Hey there, Professor Goodwitch. You're enjoying the dance?" Kakarot asked.
"I am, thank you for asking and I hope I'm not sounding weird or anything, but I would like to dance with Kakarot for a moment if that's okay with you two." Glynda said.
Yang and Kakarot look at each other surprise to hear from their combat teacher that she wants to dance with the monkey alien boy, but they can tell that she just wants to have a good time like everyone else as they look back at Glynda.
"Sure, I don't see why not." Yang nodded.
"Care to dance, Miss Goodwitch?" Kakarot offered his hand.
"Gladly." Glynda nodded, taking the hand the two begin dancing together.
Kakarot felt a little weird dancing with his teacher as some people might think they are about to go out or something, but he didn't want to say anything rude to his teacher.
"It's night like these helps me feel like there is nothing to worry about." Glynda smiled.
"Yeah, I'm starting to see that from the others." Kakarot chuckled.
"I have to say, when Ozpin told me about another young student coming here early like Miss Rose, I thought he was nuts and worry neither of you two were ready until I was proven wrong." Glynda mentioned.
"Glad to have live up to you expectation, I intend on becoming the strongest in the world and challenging anyone strong too." Kakarot spoken about his goal.
"Ambitious for someone so young, but please don't let that control your entire life there are more things in the world that can offer." Glynda advised.
"Don't worry, I've already been told by that and I'm considering it too." Kakarot said.
"That's good to hear, and I am please to see that you have already found a love interest with Miss Xiao Long." Glynda looked over at Yang who waves at them.
"I just pray that you'll be able to survive her puns. There's as bad as her father was, or even worst." Glynda mentioned.
"Really? I'm just 'Yaning' around with her for a 'tail' of a time." Kakarot punned.
"Oh god, you're doing it too." Glynda exclaimed.
"Come on, it was funny, and you know it." Kakarot proclaimed.
"Yes, and suddenly all of Hell will freeze over." Glynda rolled her eyes.
Glynda and Kakarot did two more minutes of dancing before they stop and bow to each other.
"Thank you for the time, Kakarot. I believe I am set for the night." Glynda smiled.
"No problem, I'll be looking forward to more of your combat class as well." Kakarot grinned.
"Of course, you are." Glynda giggled.
Suddenly Glynda leans in kissing Kakarot on the cheek which surprises him with his eyes widen and blushing as Glynda is also blushing upon realizing what she just did.
"Okay, nice dancing with you. Bye forever!" Glynda walked away quickly.
"Why did I do that? Why did I do that? Why did I do that?" Glynda asked herself softly and panicking.
"Okay… That was unexpected." Yang puzzled of what just happened.
"I'm not sure what to make out of this." Kakarot said still in shock.
"Well, I think you a little rest on the second floor with me." Yang grabbed his hand and drag him to the second floor.
The couple are standing at the fence watching all their friends having a good time in the dance, and Ruby is with them too.
"You know? I think we really needed this." Yang sighed in relief.
"You can say that again." Kakarot nodded.
"Yeah, and you did a great job planning it too!" Ruby complimented a job well done to Yang.
"Aw, thanks." Yang smiled with a one-arm bone crushing hub around Ruby's neck as she struggles to get out.
"It wasn't all me, though. Weiss did a lot too." Yang said.
Speaking of Weiss, the three look down seeing the white-haired rich girl sitting alone on a chair until Neptune came in looking a little nervous rubbing the back of his neck and Weiss invite him to sit.
"Tomorrow it's back to work." Yang sighed.
"Come on, Yang. We've handled tough things before, and we always come back stronger than ever." Kakarot pointed out.
"He's right, I'm sure we can handle whatever gets thrown at us." Ruby smiled then they see team JNPR doing a special dance together as everyone is having.
Well, almost everyone.
(With Cinder)
"It appears all the dancers have partners." Emerald reported.
"How long do I have?" Cinder asked speaking to Emerald and Mercury through the ear-com.
"You should probably be home by midnight, to be safe." Mercury said.
"I'll keep my eye on the clock." Cinder said revealing herself to be on the rooftop of a building in the school campus while wearing a black suit.
She puts on her mask and make her way to the CCT Tower in order to release another part of the plan into motion and using the night while everyone is at the dance is the perfect cover to get around without raising suspicious.
Cinder then knocked out the Atlas guards that were guarding making her way up the computer room as she places her Scroll on the slot, then the screen is turn on showing some random codes.
"A party guest is leaving." Emerald alerted.
"Which one?" Cinder sighed.
"Ironwood." Emerald answered.
"I guess the general had enough fun for one night. Should we intervene?" Mercury commented.
The hologram screen change from the random codes to a black Queen chess piece as Cinder smiles.
"No... we're done here." Cinder said before hanging up and taking out her Scroll.
Cinder saw the elevator door open and quickly hide before Ruby comes out with her scythe in hands looking around and calling out to if someone is really here, Cinder decided to play a little and show herself though not to speak a single word so the little girl in red won't figure out it's her.
"Excuse me? You know, it's not a masquerade party, so why don't you take off that-!" Ruby gasped as unknown intruder attacked with glass shards.
Ruby defended herself and fire though Cinder blocks them with her hand and bring out her two swords though jump back from a slash attack; she combines the swords and fire them at Ruby who dodges but they explode causing a smoke for cover to escape.
(With Kakarot)
Kakarot is seen at the balcony to enjoy a little alone time from all the dancing, then he senses something from a distance, and it feels a little dark, he decided to check it out as he flew to where this energy is coming from.
"Huh?" Kakarot spotted a womanly figure jumping on the rooftops.
"Hey!" Kakarot called out.
Cinder turns around seeing Kakarot about to chase him, she fires four arrows at him though he easily caught them in one hand.
"Really?" Kakarot asked, but the arrows suddenly exploded making him flinch a little and saw the mysterious woman is gone.
"What was that about?" Kakarot wondered before decided to head back to the dance.
KO a new chapter is done and hope you all enjoy it!
The dance was great for everyone including Kakarot Yang having their own moments together as a couple, and it looks like he unknowingly almost caught Cinder as she had already put in one part of her plan for whatever it's for.
