Gathering of the First-Year Mission Meet Up

Kakarot and Ruby are seen riding in the elevator together because they were requested by Ironwood to meet him, Ozpin, and Glynda to speak about what happened last night of that mysterious lady they encountered.

"I can't believe you fought a bad guy by yourself." Kakarot said.

"Well, what was I supposed to do when I saw something lurking in the darkness on the rooftops and into the CCT? I had a feeling that she was a bad guy." Ruby stated.

"And you were right, but you could've at least let your team know and not go in alone." Kakarot pointed out.

"I know, I know, but this bad guy could be one working for Roman and the White Fang which is something we've been looking into ourselves. Plus, everyone was having a good time at the dance, I didn't want to bother them." Ruby explained.

"Yeah, that got to almost having your butt kicked and losing the bad guy like an amateur idiot." Kakarot mocked.

"Hey! I will NOT take that kind of tone, mister even when you're dating my sister." Ruby pouted.

"Then try to think better with your head a little more!" Kakarot yelled.

"Maybe I will!" Ruby yelled back.

The two stares at each other for a moment then they started laughing like the argue they just had suddenly turned into a comedy.

"Still, I don't think anyone would've thought about someone sneaking into the tower. Talk about chance." Kakarot commented.

"I just hope we don't have to tell much to the general and the headmaster." Ruby worried.

"Well, we would have been at the office sooner if you didn't press all the buttons." Kakarot complained.

"I… I just wanted to make sure each button works." Ruby proclaimed.

"Or you just couldn't help but feel "powerful" when pressing a button like that purple cartoon character who likes to eat lot." Kakarot pointed out.

"Whatever." Ruby crossed her arms together.

Soon, they heard a ding of the elevator showing that they are finally at the headmaster office and enter the room seeing Ozpin with Ironwood and Glynda with him as expected.

"Sup." Kakarot greeted.

"Sorry it took so long. Someone accidentally hit all the buttons on the elevator on the way up here." Ruby said.

"It was her." Kakarot immediately ratted her out.

"Thank you two for coming, how are you feeling?" Ozpin asked.

"Doing great, ready to fight more strong opponents and destroying hordes of Grimm to Hell!" Kakarot answered with a smirk that made Glynda giggle.

"I'm good too, I'd feel better if my bad-guy-catching record wasn't O-for-three." Ruby said getting a dead silent from everyone until Kakarot spoke.

"Lame." Kakarot deadpanned earning an elbow from Ruby.

"Ruby, I feel it's appropriate to let you know that I think what you did last night is exactly what being a Huntress is all about. You recognized a threat. You took action. And you did the very best you could." Ironwood admitted Ruby's bravery.

"Thank you, sir." Ruby smiled.

"And Kakarot, even though you didn't do much. I'm glad you trusted your instinct to confront the suspicious suspect. Good on you." Ironwood said.

"Thanks, though wish I could've seen how strong she was." Kakarot shrugged.

"Now, the general here has already informed us of the events that... transpired last night, but now that you've rested, we were wondering if you had anything to add." Ozpin explained why the two students are here.

"Was anyone else with her? Did she look familiar to you at all?" Glynda asked.

"Not that I know of, she was all alone." Kakarot mentioned.

"Yeah, she was wearing a mask, and she never said anything to me. But I know she fought with glass. I don't think that was her Semblance, though. Her clothing lit up whenever she attacked." Ruby explained.

"Save for the glass, that sounds like the woman I fought the night we met Ruby." Glynda recalled that night.

"Embedding Dust into clothing is an age-old technique. It could have been anyone." Ironwood stated.

"Well, there was also the arrows she fired at me. They were just normal arrows until they suddenly exploded, didn't hurt me though, so making stuff blow up might be her Semblance." Kakarot mentioned.

"An exploding Semblance, we'll have a look into that." Ironwood said.

"Wait. You think this girl is connected to Torchwick and the White Fang?" Ruby asked.

"It's possible. But we still lack the required evidence to link the two together." Ozpin stated.

"Actually, I... I think I remember her saying something about a hideout, or something, in the southeast. Just outside the Kingdom." Ruby said a little lie.

"Really? But you said she didn't say anything." Kakarot surprised.

"B-Because I overheard her said that before she spotted me." Ruby quickly made that up.

"Is that right?" Glynda raised an eyebrow.

"Thank you for your cooperation, Ruby, Kakarot. Why don't you go and spend some time with your team? You have a big day ahead of you." Ozpin allowed them to leave.

"Any time." Ruby said as she and Kakarot leave for the elevator.

"And Miss Rose, please try and be ... discreet about this matter." Ozpin advised.

"Yes, sir." Ruby chuckled nervously.

Kakarot wink at Glynda who smile back at him before the elevator door closes.

(Dormitory Hallway)

Ruby and Kakarot are walking together to team RWBY's room for a meet up with their team.

"Dude, were you trying to rat us out about our own secret mission?" Ruby snapped at him.

"What? I was just asking if that mask woman really said anything to you." Kakarot defended himself.

"Of course not, but I was just saying that because I think they could check it out or we do it ourselves." Ruby explained.

They reach the door as Ruby opens and suddenly, WBY and Krillin sprinted to the two leaders with curious and concern looks on their faces.

"What happened?" Yang asked causing Ruby to laugh nervously and Kakarot just look causal.

(Headmaster Office)

"Well, there we have it. We send as many troops as we can to the southeast, find out exactly what's going on, and eradicate any forces that stand in our way." Ironwood suggested as he wants to take the bad guys down as soon as possible.

But this made Glynda frustrated from hearing another strict suggestion from this worrywart man she has known for a long time.

"Why must your answer to everything involve a triumphant display of military bravado!? You treat every situation like it's a contest of measuring di—!"

"Glynda." Ozpin stopped Glynda from saying any further.

"Well, he does." Glynda pointed out.

"She's right. As much as I too would love to end this situation once and for all, we must remember that this may go beyond Vale. Beyond Beacon. And if this truly is part of some master plan for which we know not the final move, we mustn't be so bold. Nor can we risk the spread of panic." Ozpin stated strongly.

"I have served you faithfully for years... but if you mean to tell me that your plan is to really hold the defenses and wait—!"

"It is NOT!" Ozpin snapped, standing up from his chair and pointed his finger at Ironwood much to his surprise.

"You're a general, James. So, tell me, when you prepare to go to war, which do you send in first? The flag bearers, or the scouts?" Ozpin asked which got the general of Atlas thinking.

(Team RWBY's Room)

"That was a risky move." Weiss said after hearing how the conversation went for Ruby and Kakarot.

"No, I think you handled it well." Blake believed.

"Now, Kakarot just need to make sure he doesn't open his big mouth too much to spoil anything." Krillin advised.

"Shut it, traitor." Kakarot growled.

"I just hope we get something out of this." Ruby concerned.

"I'm sure everything will be alright, Ruby." Yang said patting her little sister on the back, then she got an idea.

"Oh, I know what will cheer you up!" Yang smiled and grabbed a cylindrical package the length of her forearm from the top of a shelf.

"What's that?" Ruby asked.

"I don't know yet. Dad sent it to us. I thought we could open it together!" Yang explained.

"Ooooh! Something from home!" Ruby excited as she jumps over to Yang and try to reach for the package.

The package open letting out something black and furry as it drops onto the floor, then it suddenly pops into the shape of a black corgi dog as it looks up at the girls and boys as they look down surprise to this dog.

"Is that real?" Krillin asked.

The dog bark twice answering Krillin's question, this causes Blake and Weiss to become shocked while Yang and Ruby are smiling of joy and Kakarot is confused and surprise at the same time.

"Zwei!" Ruby shouted joyfully, also revealing the name of the dog.

"He sent a dog?" Blake stepped away a foot or two.

"In the mail?!" Weiss shocked very much.

Ruby holds Zwei in her arms as the dog is very happy to see the two girls doing okay and lick them in joy making the rose girl giggle while Yang smile at the scene.

"Oh, he does stuff like this all the time!" Yang said.

"Your father or the dog?" Blake asked as she disappeared and reappeared onto Ruby's bunkbed.

"Blake, you're still afraid of dogs? I thought you gotten over that fear by now since that little incident." Kakarot surprised to see his big sister like this.

"Some things are never easy to get over." Blake glared at Kakarot.

"Oh, is there something I need to know?" Yang asked curiously.

"Well, there was this one time we went to a pet store"

"Don't you dare!" Blake snapped hissing at them.

"I'll tell you about it later." Kakarot whispered to his girlfriend as she giggles.

"Are you telling me that this mangy... drooling... mutt is going to wiv wif us foweva? Oh, yes he is, yes he is! Oh, isn't he adorable!" Weiss said making little baby noises to the cute dog that melted her icy heart.

"Wow, I never thought I see the day that Weiss Schnee would fall to the cuteness might of a puppy." Krillin surprised and quickly took a picture.

"You better delete that." Weiss glared causing Krillin chuckle in fear.

"Oh, that remains me, mom and dad sent us a care package too." Blake informed and pointed at the big box for Kakarot.

"Cool!" Kakarot opened the box to see four lightning Dust magazine, a cloth, a pair of red metal armbrace gloves, and some packed meat in containers.

"Mom and dad sent me a lightning Dust and these gauntlets, guess they thought I should start using weapons like you guys." Kakarot said.

"Wouldn't hurt come prepare for anything." Blake said as she opens her own box seeing a new book, few seashells, and a picture of the family together.

"Hey, check it out. It's our emblem together." Kakarot showed the cloth to be a flag with Blake and his emblem together.

"Cool." Blake smiled and looked to Zwei with a glare.

"Please keep it away from my belongings." Blake said as Zwei jump off from Ruby's arm and he reaches up to her.

"Would all first-year students please report to the amphitheater?" Glynda asked through the speaker boxes.

"Guess it's our time to go." Krillin said.

"Wait, what about Zwei?" Kakarot asked as he set the flag down.

"Well, we can't exactly leave him here while we're gone for the week." Weiss stated the dog need something to keep itself busy and eating while they'll be away for their first mission.

"Look, there's a letter!" Yang said as she took out the letter and Zwei arrived in front of her then move onto Kakarot who petted his head making the dog smile.

"Dear girls, I've got to leave the island for a few days, so I'm sending Zwei to you to take care of. Enclosed is all the food you should need. Love you both, Taiyang." Yang read the letter.

Ruby giggles upon seeing Kakarot is playing with Zwei using his tail before the dog move onto Yang.

Yang shook the package once and suddenly dozens of dogfood cans fell out from the small package and all piling onto Zwei, then his head pops up from the pile.

"Is your dad part magician?" Krillin asked Ruby who just shrug.

"What is he supposed to do with that?" Weiss asked, Yang shook the package one last time dropping a can opener that bounces off on Zwei's head.

"Well, that settles it! Come on girls, Zwei will be here when we get back!" Yang smirked and walk out of the room.

"Oh, I'll miss you so much, we're going to be best friends, I can't wait to see you." Weiss talked in baby talk and scratching under Zwei's chin as she leaves.

"H-Hold on, you can't honestly expect me to believe that a dog can use a can opener all by himself, right? Right?" Krillin asked shock, but he is ignored by the others.

"Later, dog. Hope you can help Blake get over her dog fear." Kakarot petted Zwei before walking away.

"Hey! What about the can opener?!" Krillin followed the others still boomed by this and Blake jump from the bed to the counter and out of the room.

Ruby stayed behind looking down at the cute face of the cute little dog worry about leaving him all alone when he just got here, then an idea popped into her head. An idea so risky and crazy that it might just work as she grin.

(Auditorium)

Ruby carried a black backpack with her red rose emblem as she and all other students enter the auditorium getting ready to go on their first mission, she places her backpack next to the other luggage from the other students and joins her team standing in front of team JNPR and KK next to them.

"Quiet! Quiet please. Professor Ozpin would like to share a few words before we begin." Glynda informed and stepped away giving the stage to Ozpin.

Ozpin look at everyone for a second before speaking.

"Today we stand together, united. Mistral. Atlas. Vacuo. Vale. The four Kingdoms of Remnant. On this day, nearly eighty years ago, the largest war in recorded history came to an end. It was a war of ignorance, of greed, and of oppression. A war that was about much more than where borders fell or who traded with whom, but about the very idea of individualism itself. We fought for countless reasons, one of which being the destruction of all forms of art and self-expression. And as you are well aware, that was something many could not stand for. As a result, those who opposed this tyranny began naming their children after one of the core aspects of art itself: color. It was their way to demonstrate that not only would they refuse to tolerate this oppression, but neither were the generations to come. And it was a trend that is held to this very day. We encourage individuality, expressionism, and unity through diversity. As I have said, today we stand together, united. But this bond cannot exist without effort. Which is why today, while the rest of the world celebrates peace, Huntsmen and Huntresses will work to uphold it. As first year students, you will be tasked with shadowing a professional Huntsman or Huntress on a mission. Some of you may be taken out of the Kingdom for several days. Others may work within the walls for the rest of the week. But no matter which path you choose, remember to be safe, remember your training, and remember to do your very best." Ozpin strongly before leaving the stage.

"Wow, that was a really big speech." Kakarot surprised.

"But those words are very true, we have to give this our all if we want to how those Hunter pros that we got what it takes to be like them and better." Krillin determined.

"Please, I'm always giving every battle I enter my all." Kakarot smirked.

"Just try not to destroy anything while you're on the mission." Blake teased.

"Hey, we're gonna be join you guys. I hope." Kakarot said nervously.

KO a new chapter is done and hope you all enjoy it!
