So, Raoul and I hooked up. It was SUPER awkward at first. But once we saw the shocked look on everyone's faces when they saw us together, we began to relax when we decided to have some fun with this. Everyone assumed that Raoul had 'enslaved' me. So, I would pretend to be a scared hostage while Raoul put on the scary bad guy act just to make the others sweat. Of course, Daring, Hunter, and the other princes would try to 'rescue' me, but neither of them stood a chance against Raoul. He whipped the royal snot out of them.

But when a concerned Apple got Headmaster Grimm involved with this, we already had a prepared excuse. We simply told the headmaster that we were doing it for our destinies. I was 'pretending' to be a damsel in distress for extra credit in Maid Marian's class and Raoul was using me to 'practice' his evil destiny by polishing his superficial charm to lure women to their deaths.

And Grimm totally bought it! It's hard to believe a sap like that would be in charge of a school.

Once that was cleared up, we went back to being a secret couple. But it turns out, we weren't the only secret couple in school. And a certain someone was having his heart problems too. Or should I say, true heart problems.

"Guys! You are NOT going to believe this!" Bentley said. He, Greenly, Raoul, Ian, and Amber were in their secret hangout hidden in the laundry room.

"Faybelle cursed herself to sleep for a hundred years?" Amber asked in a callous fashion. She had always despised her dark fairy cousin. The two would always compete over who was badder by pulling evil pranks on the students until Headmaster Grimm recently caught them both and put his angry foot down. He strcitly said enough was enough and they had to bury the hatchet or risk expulsion.

Bentley shook his head. "Nope. I overheard Cupid and Dexter talking about a holiday called True Hearts Day!"

Amber gagged. "Sounds like a waste of time already."

"C'mon, Amber. Drop the bad girl act and let Bentley finish." Greenly said. "Go on, Bentley."

"It's a holiday that would to be spellebrated way back then that encourages people to follow their true hearts' desires, but not anymore. Cupid went to talk to Headmaster Grimm about it and he's so not cool with it! Apparently he sees it as a threat to students rebelling against their destinies." Bentley rolled his eyes. "So, he told Cupid to keep her mouth shut about it. Luckily, she found a loophole. Cupid met with Briar in the charmitorium and used charades to tell Briar about it in order to plan a secret True Hearts Day dance!"

"Hmm, Cupid did the right thing going to Briar." said Greenly. "If anyone's going to plan a secret party to spellebrate a forbidden holiday, it's her."

After staring at Bentley with a thoughtful look, Raoul finally spoke. "Bentley, how come you know so much about what Cupid is doing?"

The room went silent. Everyone looked at Bentley as a bad feeling began to sink in.

"Bentley, are you stalking Cupid?" asked Raoul.

Bentley's eyes darted around the room. His hands started to fidget. "Uh, well, not technically-"

"You're stalking her." everyone else said at once.

The young musician groaned and nuried his face in his hands.

"Dude, you shouldn't be stalking girls, okay? That's not cool." said Ian.

"I am NOT stalking her!" Bentley snapped. "I'm her work bud!"

"I don't know, man." Ian said, leaning back. "I think you're becoming obsessed with her."

Deeply offended, Bentley angrily crossed his arms. "Obsessed?! I'm not obsessed with her!"

"Oh, yeah? Then explain the pull-apart cupcake cake you made in cooking class yesterday." said Amber.

"Yeah, it was shaped exactly like Cupid's head." Greenly pointed out.

Bentley threw his hands in the air. "That doesn't prove anything! Everyone knows that Cupid's fav food are cupcakes made with love!"

Everyone just stared.

"Well, we didn't know that." said Greenly. "In fact, I don't think anyone else knows that but you."

"And it's not just the cupcake cake, what about all those gifts you gave Cupid?" Amber mentioned. "Like, that bouquet of flowers? She threw them in the trash!"

"It was because of her pollen allergy!" Bentley replied. "I didn't know that at the time!"

"And what about those homemade cookies you gave her?" asked Greenly. "I saw her use them to keep her desk chair from wobbling.

"It's because I burned them!" Bentley blinked. "Well...I only burnt a few..."

Ian stood up. "And you did all these nice for Cupid and she never acknowledged your feelings? At all?!"

Raoul stood up and put a hand on Bentley's shoulder. Bentley was a bit stunned how small his shoulder was with Raoul's large hand on it. "Bentley," Raoul said calmly. "Let me tell you this as a friend, you should just forget about Cupid."

Bently gasped. "Forget about Cupid?!" He pulled away from Raoul. "What planet are you from?! Why don't you tell me to forget how to breathe?!"

Greenly stood. "Bentley-"

"NO! No! No! No!" Bentley snapped. "I am not going to give up on her! In fact, I'm going to make a big splash at the True Hearts dance and ask her to be my date!" He stormed out of the room. "You'll see!"

Everyone was left concerned for their poor friend.
