A/N Warning: Slightly Out of Character Todoroki Enji.

Todoroki's POV

Being knocked off the bridge by KEM has been unexpected. He had grabbed King of Thieves just a second before the blow. They crashed into the water below the water. With the cold weather, the water had a thin layer of ice.

It was on instinct that he let go of the vigilante. Part of Enji expected the vigilante to start swimming and swearing. Instead, he slowly began to sink. The vigilante must be unconscious from the fall. Though he didnt like the vigilante's he would not want them hurt. As oblivious as he acted he heard what the other heroes speculated about the Lost Children.

The leaders were about the same age as Shoto. As hard as he was on his children he did care for them. He didnt want to harm to fall upon children as a whole. Everyone had the potential to be a hero or a villain. The choices one made defined who they were.

Grabbing the vigilante around the chest he pulled him close to Enji. As he did this he dropped a tracking device into the vigilante's jacket pocket. Once again he felt his quirk deactivate against his will. This child seemed to have a touch-activated Erasure quirk. For a while, it had been little more than a rumor. Confirmed in his mind by this act because the vigilante was unconscious.

It had been years since Enji felt cold. Not since just after his fourth birthday when his quirk came in. He could turn it off to a point but he would always run hot. It was a shock to his system to feel cold from the water. His muscles wanted to lock up and if they happened both he and the vigilante would drown.

Forcing his muscles to move he slowly brought them to shore. Once they were within a few dozen meters heroes and police rushed to help. For once Enji didnt shake off the help of his colleagues. The frozen water had drained nearly all of his strength. Without them, he wasnt sure if he would have been able to get them the rest of the way to shore.

Fatgum took the vigilante from him and immediately his fire returned. It returned some of the strength to his body but his hands shook as he stood. Steam came off of him in large amounts as the water evaporated. It was why he hated anything to do with water when his quirk was on. It made him seem like a bathhouse. Annoying but in this case necessary.

The walk to shore was slow and draining. Even with his quirk returned his body temperature was too low. Fatgum already had the vigilante on the sand away from the water. It seemed he was performing chest compressions. There hadn't been time for him to check to see if the boy was breathing. Enji's entire focus had been getting them out of the water.

Once he was on the shore he sat down beside the other hero. It wouldn't do for the boy to get hypothermia on top of everything else. They would need Eraserhead's quirk as well. The erasures should cancel each other out allowing Enji to warm the boy up easier.

Coughing drew his attention as Fatgum helped the vigilante sit up and cough out the water that had invaded his lungs. The boy pulled down the cowl that covered the lower half of his face. It gave Enji and the detective known as Tsukauchi a good look at his face. Tsukauchi let out a light gasp. It was certainly a surprise given how little they actually knew about this group.

The child couldn't have been more than 11 or 12. He was the same age as Shoto but the look in the green eyes wasn't something a child should have. Even he knew that children shouldn't have that kind of look.

A shout from behind them resounded, "King!"

The explosive blond KEM came flying at them. He was followed by several of the other Lost Children. Exhaustion was clear in their eyes but they didnt want to back down. If this continued one of the children was going to die. From their malnutrition and quirk overuse, it would take too much of a toll on their bodies. Now was the time to back off and let them return to their hideout. The tracker in King's jacket.

King stood shakily on his feet his eyes on the long line of heroes and police. He could see the danger that he and his men were in. Enji then did the most unexpected thing in their eyes. He held out a hand to stop the heroes and police from preventing their escape.

He ordered the boy gruffly, "Go."

King questioned his voice painfully young, "Why are you helping us?"

"Would you rather go to jail?"

With that, the boy ran back to his men and glancing back at Enji. Blue and green eyes clashed against each other. King gave him a nod before disappearing into the shadows.

Tsukauchi questioned his anger was barely withheld from his voice, "Endeavour what was that? We had the King of Thieves and KEM. Why did you let them get away?"

Endeavor replied in a growl, "If we caught them now we would have to deal with the unknown children left behind. We would be back at square one with stopping the Lost Children. I suspected that we would face down King and KEM soon again. So I had my support team create a tracker. One that I planted on King when I pulled him from the water. For now, I suggest that we tend to our injured and wait until tomorrow evening. It will give you time to make a plan and take them down another night. I'll have my sidekicks send you the trackers."

Izuku's POV

They took the long way back to their hideout. Four times they doubled back to make sure they weren't followed. By the time that they made it he couldn't feel most of his body. His drop into the water had soaked him to the skin.

Katsuki towards the end had to help him get to the warehouse. Izuku's breathing was shallow and raspy. It hurt to even take small breaths at all. Fear went through him that he still had water in his lungs.

When they finally got back to the hideout Izuku was barely conscious. He was pretty sure he had a mild concussion on top of not being able to breathe properly. His head pounded like he had sparred with Katsuki.

Moments passed or seconds he couldn't tell at this point before he was told to strip. Given fresh clothes he changed into the warmest clothes they had a was placed by their new space heaters. It wasnt long before he returned to unconsciousness despite how hard he fought it.

Bakugo's POV

Watching Izuku crumble to the ground unconscious made his heart stop. Katsuki had known something was wrong the entire way home. The wheezing that Izuku was doing was worse than those that were sick. Sure he probably breathed in some water when he and Endeavour went into the water but he shouldn't sound like that.

Dropping at the other's side on his knees he checked for blood. Thankfully there wasn't any but he wouldn't disregard the chance that Izuku had a concussion from the fall into the water. His brother in all but blood was unlucky like that.

Placing his ear to Izuku's chest he could hear painful rattling. He was struggling just to breathe and despite being close to the space heaters he was still hypothermic. This was beyond his skill to fix. Pneumonia would set in and Izuku would die if they didn't get him to the hospital. There was a good chance he would die now if they could get his internal temperature up.

Katsuki snapped out as the others were watching him, "Get me some blankets and put them on him. Those not doing that find me a phone."

None of their quirks were useful for warming Izuku up. They would only make things worse. His quirk was the closest thing to warming they had. It would only hurt Izuku.

A few minutes passed and they buried Izuku under blankets. Alec brought him a disposable cellphone. Where he got it Katsuki knew better than to ask. He knew that Alec and Jason had contacts all over the underground. The contacts kept them alive and out of the heroes' hands. Now he had to contact the heroes to save his friend.

Katsuki looked over the kids that were left. Many of them were worse than when they left earlier that evening. It wasn't just Izuku's life he would be saving. The kid's breathing was raspy and painful.

Alec said calmly breaking his thought process, "We knew that this day was coming, KEM. King falling ill is just the final nail in the coffin. If we don't do something now those who are left will die. Kavar said that there are four who are showing signs of pneumonia already. We are not equipped to handle pneumonia and it will be passed on to everyone. They will die left untreated just as King will."

Jason continued his hands forming fists at his side the only sign of his anger, "We might not like the adults but without them, too many will die. I agree to call the ones we trust somewhat to get help."

Katsuki stared at the phone and already he could knew which ones Izuku would call. Detective Tsukauchi was the police detective that had been chasing them from the beginning. More than once he had given Izuku lunch thinking that the kid was just a street kid. He truly only wanted to help the Lost Children.

From there they would ask for Fatgum and Nighteye. There were times in their chases that when the heroes could have caught them that they didnt. Katsuki remembered a time that he twisted the wrong way and sprained his ankle. Fatgum didnt try to catch him instead he treated his sprained ankle. Then he was allowed to limp away.

Katsuki took a deep breath before he said, "I'll call Tsukauchi. Watch over Izuku for me."

"Of course," came the indignant answers. Katsuki smiled sadly before heading outside.

Katsuki brushes off his pants and headed for the door. Taking a deep breath of the cold air he dialed the memorized phone number. The line rang for a few seconds and for a moment Katsuki thought the detective wouldn't pick up.

Then a voice came over the line, "Tsukauchi. Who is this?"

Katsuki hesitated before he answered, "This is KEM and we need your help."

There was a sharp intake of breath on the other side. Then a question came, "What's happened? Where are you right now, KEM?"

"We will need to get several of our members to the hospital," came his answer, "We think that a few of our kids have the early symptoms of pneumonia. As for where I am you need to make a promise. That only yourself, Nighteye, and Fatgum will be there from the heroes and police."

He could hear Tsukauchi barking orders about ambulances and contacting the three heroes. Then he said, "Agreed. Just tell us where to meet you."

Katsuki did. It was just down the street from the warehouse. If they brought more than the agreed heroes it would give a chance to getaway. To grab the kids again and run. Or if it came down to it to make a final stand.

They agreed to meet in twenty minutes. From there Katsuki began barking orders to get the kids moving. If they were betrayed the kids needed to get the sick and injured out. Trusting an adult's word was not within any of their natures. They had been betrayed one too many times.

When the time came for him to leave some of the younger kids cried. They obviously thought that this would be the last time they saw each other. To be honest he didnt blame them. The Lost Children were considered vigilantes. Police and Heroes did everything they could to catch them. Yet at the same time in a rare show of compassion Endeavour of all people had let them go.

In his usual gruff way, he told them that they would be fine. The police wouldn't lock kids up for just trying to survive. What he didnt say was that he and the other leaders would likely go to juvie. It was inevitable. While they were underage they still broke the law. All he could do was make sure they treated the kids fairly and that they didn't go back to abusive homes.
