A/N thanks for your reviews and support.

Yumi Edogawa: thanks for your review my friend. Ah but its not the last we see of our favorite Phantom Thief. As for Thief Lord you will have to just wait and see.

Kuroba's POV

It was a quiet nightfall things considered. Not that he expected any trouble currently. The police and heroes were too busy with paperwork to focus on him. They thought his appearance in the alley to save the kid was just a coincidence.

Maybe it would be better for the city if it was. Unfortunately for the city and the woman who's apartment he was watching that was not the case.

Kaito was one of the Phantom Thieves and like all who bore the name he followed another. While he often went off on his own to do his own thing he still answered the call when it was received. To defy their leader was to bring shame upon their name. Not to mention the wrath of the others that would fall upon their heads.

Originally a Japanese thief he kept to himself for the early parts of his career. There had been several time that he and Kid came across each other. Both being after the same gem for different reasons. Kaito had to admit that he had learned a lot from the man. Thief Lord had been an unexpected but not unwelcome teacher.

Over time they worked more with each other rather than against. In the end Kaito as kid would become the first Phantom Thief under Thief Lord. It would take years for the police to catch on that they were no longer individuals but a group. By the time they caught on they numbered more than a dozen all over the world. Kaito still preferred to work alone rather than with others.

It was almost four years ago that he started working with the man. To date they hadn't done anything on this scale before. Originally the Kaito had come back to Japan on the rumors that a gem they had been searching for was in Musutafu. It was why Kaito as Kid had been sent to feel out the rumors.

That was when he had come across the Lost Children and the police's trap for them. So he watched and waited on the rooftop. Curiosity over what the Lost Children were really like had gotten the best of him.

To his horror the children were malnourished dangerously so. It made him as an adult want to go down there and help them. To give them more food than they could eat in their lifetime.

It also made him understand the police and their reports more. He had hacked their systems to read what theories were going around. Tsukauchi seemed to be more competent than most. He knew that the Lost Children were just that. Children.

The orders for the heroes on the case were not to injure them. Any attack made must be careful so not no one was hurt. Capture was their goal nothing else.

The trap itself had been perfect and King had tripped it. If Kaito had not stepped in out of his own curiosity the boy would have been captured. In doing so had surprised him. Seeing a very familiar golden falcon pin. A pin that he saw every time he spoke with Thief Lord.

To find out it belonged to the boy's father had broken his poker face. Thief Lord had a son. A son who was also a thief, an amateur one but a thief nonetheless. With a good teacher the boy would make a formidable thief.

That decision was not Kaito's to make however. Even as he offered the boy, his services as a mentor he wa planning on contacting Thief Lord. Even if it was a lie the man deserved to know.

Later that evening an order had come down. He was to find and watch one Inko Midoriya. It only took a few hours to find out where she was and her entire history. What he found disgusted him to his very core.

Inko Midoriya at one time had a son by the name of Izuku Midoriya. His description fit that of the King of Thieves. Along with her best friend Mitsuki Bakugo they abandoned their children. Izuku for supposedly being quirkless. Katsuki for acting like a villain.

Children abandoned because of adult prejudice. It made Kaito sick to his stomach. All he wanted was to take the boys in himself. Knowing that Thief Lord or possibly Hisashi Midoriya if his intel was correct would take the boy in.

Konosuke Jii was currently watching the boy. It was not a task he would trust to just anyone. The old man had been a good friend of Kaito's father and continued to be so to Kaito himself.

The reports from Jii were at least encouraging in terms of Izuku's health. Tsukauchi Naomasa had taken the boy as his ward. The only strings of the deal seemed to be that Izuku and Katsuki would be going to UA.

Kaito hid a snort. That would only stay true for as long as Thief Lord did not come for his son. How long it would take for the man to actually confront his child who knew? Not him.

A shiver ran down his spine suddenly. Eyes were upon him friendly but he knew that could change within seconds. Kaito didnt turn to face where the gaze was coming from. Like all who bore the falcon mark he knew Thief Lord would approach in his own time. There was no rushing the man.

Light footsteps sounded on the rooftop behind him. A deep breathy voice questioned, "Anything of note?"

Kaito turned his head slightly as he replied, "No. She has gone about her daily routine. So far there is no sign she knows that she's being watched."

"And the boy?"

Kaito turned to face the man completely as he replied, "With the detective on his case. Lost Children were captured a few days ago. Izuku Midoriya became the ward of one Tsukauchi Naomasa. From what Jii has seen Tsukauchi will take care of him at least until you're ready to talk to him."

A tall man stood there a little more than six foot. Messy black hair fell into the man's ice blue eyes. The cold look sent shivers down his spine.

Relief flooded him as the gaze turned to the apartment they had been watching. He growled, "I want everything you have on her. Now."

Eyes trailing to the golden falcon pin he said with a bow of his head, "Of course, Thief Lord."
