Chapter 3:
January 4:
Sitting in one of the passenger cars of the subway was a 25 year old red headed woman who was looking out the window to the view of the city. Her attire comprises a dark red jacket, black t-shirt, and tight jeans with black pockets. She has been riding the train for 12 hours now because she just came back home from her Global Justice training in Europe. Her name is Kim Possible former teen hero and now a full fledge GJ agent on her second assignment. Kim was looking out the window and seeing how much her old home town has changed since she left. If she would have been flying in she would have seen the tri-state area was the same as she remembered it. From an airplane, from above, all you'd see are clean shafts of concrete and snowy rooftops, the work of men who died generations ago. From up there it looks like an achievement. From up there you can't see the enemy. The try-state area is no place to raise a family.
"Maybe this is what I deserve now. Maybe it's just my time in hell. " Kim thought. She let her mind wonder and remember how everything started to go wrong. Kim woke up the next morning feeling great like a huge load has been taken off her mind. However she noticed how empty her bed felt. With a start she covered her naked body and called out for her best friend slash bed partner but she got no answer. She went to get dressed thinking that Ron was down stairs making breakfast. She was wearing her usual attire of a white crop top with a pink heart, a pair of pink jean-style pants, and white shoes. She went down the stairs and into the kitchen but instead of seeing Ron cooking she saw her mother Doctor Andrea Possible on the stove making pancakes. Her father Doctor James Timothy Possible was sitting at the breakfast table reading the newspaper. Both of her parents were not in good mood this morning Kim thought that it must be because of the meeting with the DA went terrible last night.
"Morning mom Morning dad." Kim said. she first went to give her mother a kiss on the check and then her dad. "Morning Kim how did you sleep last night?" Andrea asked. She took out the last of the pancakes and set them on the table. Taking her usual seat and started to take some portions for the serving plate. "Ok I guess." Kim said. Taking her portion and started eating. "Have you seen Ronald yet Kimmie cub?" James asked. Also taking his portion.
"Not yet dad I think he's still sleeping." Kim said. Unfortunately no one saw Ron at all that day. Kim even asked Wade to locate him by using the tracking device that was in his molar but both Ron's cell phone and the tracking device was crushed or destroyed so he was unable to find Ron. A few days later James noticed his gun was missing and everyone thought that Ron might have taken it and killed Joe Chill.
Luckily Wade told them that Chill was still alive and was working for Drakken. A few days later Kim got a call from Doctor Director letting her know that Global Justice has accepted her application to the academy in Europe. Her boyfriend Eric was so happy because he was going to the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom. Kim obviously said yes because working for GJ was something that she dreamed about ever since she worked with them. However she was also hoping that Ron would go with her so that they can keep team possible together but Ron was declared missing. Wade also went to work for GJ working tech support, analyst, and information broker do to his abilities to be a hacker witch made Kim more comfortable that at least one of her friends was going with her.
Kim never told Eric about her one night stand with Ron and he never found out. However 4 years in Europe Kim was given a 2 weeks pass from GJ to go visit Eric in Oxford to surprise him but instead of a happy reunion she saw him sleeping with another woman in his dorm. They argued a lot Eric said that he was tired of her always telling him that she wanted to wait until the wedding night and that she was never their because she was always busier saving the world. Kim said that he thought that he respected her enough where he would accept her decision but it turns out that she was wrong and broke up with him then and there.
Things were not going any better back home. Turns out that her father Doctor James Timothy Possible was no deferent than Eric because he was also cheating on her mother Doctor Andrea Possible for at least the last 10 years with Wanda Wong the chairman of the Board of at the space center. There was even a video clip of James threatening a younger Ron into silence at the space center meaning that Ron has known about the affair since middle school and never said anything because the threat James made. Both Andrea and Kim never blamed or hated Ron for never saying anything.
It was a very long and ugly and long divorce. James got to keep full custody of the twins and moved to Nevada with both of them. It turns out that James hated Ron just as much as Eric did the only deference between the two was that James had to pretend to like him just to keep up appearance Eric on the other hand was planning to push Kim as far away as possible from him to ruin their friendship and have Kim and Andrea all to himself. Eric was even planning to force himself on Andrea and rape her. After all he is an aristocrat and his father is the Duke of Oxford.
After the divorce Andrea got to see her sons on the holidays because James wanted to be alone with Wanda. Kim also came home for Christmas. However they all wish that Ron was there with them they all miss him and hope that he was ok. Things were not going any better for the tri-state area. The city is collapsing under unemployment, crime, and financial ruin, leaving segments of the population disenfranchised and impoverished. The city is a very large, with approximately 12 million people residing on the three island. It is also corrupt and teeming with criminals. The architecture in the city is a mix of different styles. Ranging from art deco to modern. The sanitation department has reported that there is a garbage strike and that you can't drive though the city without seeing nothing but garbage and rats.
As the train came to a stop at the station Kim got out of her seat and walked out. She saw a monk selling books for money but she seceded to ignore him. Unfortunately he noticed her. "Nice book for a small donation." He said. "No please." Kim said. Trying to be polite. "Nice book look at the pictures. Nice colors" He said trying to sell the book to Kim. All of a sudden a young Asian looking man around her age was calling out her name. "Possible, Lieutenant Kim Possible." Agent Will Du said. Seeing that the monk was trying to sell her his book starts to walk to her and grabs the monk. "They don't know when to quit, do they, lieutenant?" Agent Will Du ask. "Walk, skinhead." Agent Will Du said. Pushing the monk away. "Commissioner Loeb sent me to meet you. He wanted to make sure you didn't miss your appointment. " Agent Will Du said. "Hope that you don't mind if I call you Kimmie." Agent Will Du said. "Welcome back to the tri-state area Kimmie." Agent Will Du said with a friendly smile on his face. "Don't worry, not as bad as it looks. Especially if you're a GJ agent. " Agent Will Du said putting his hand on her shoulder. "GJ agents got it made in the tri-state area." Agent Will Du said escorting Kim to his car. "Thank you agent Du." Kim said feeling uncomfortable with Will's hands on her. "It's detective no Kimmie." Will Du said proud with his promotion. The two GJ agents walked to the parking lot and Will Du opened the trunk for Kim to put her luggage in and then Will went to the driver side and Kim to the passenger side of the car. Putting on their seatbelts and they drove out of the parking lot and to town.

When the taxi stopped near the Bueno Nacho restaurant number #582 Ron paid the driver took out his luggage and went inside to order his food. At the counter the same manager that was working their during high school Ned at the counter. "Welcome to Bueno Nacho may I take your order?" Ned asked. "Yes I would like to have a classic naco combo grande size please." Ron said. "Cheese." Rufus said sticking his head out of Ron's pocket. Ned was putting his order in the computer. "would you like anything else?' Ned asked. "No that's it thank you." Ron said. after paying for his food and getting it he went to go sit at his and Kim's booth. Rufus came out of Ron's pocket and started to eat some of the nacho covered with cheese.
Ron started to eat his naco and started to think. "Ok so I sold my parents house and almost all of their possessions including my old scooter except dad's calculator and mom's pearl necklace which is in a safety deposit box at the bank. According to the files that I took a look at back at Yamanouchi my bank account and my permanent records are all still open and updated so I won't have to worry about proving who I am. But I will still have to find a place to live so for right now I will stay at the abandon subway station until I take care of everything. Tomorrow I will get a new driver's license and go house hunting." Ron thought. After Ron and Rufus were done with their lunch Ron went A specific storm drain manhole and opened it. He jumped down and put the cover back. Ron started to walk the same path that he memorized way back in high school. Back during his middle school days when he was being attacked by a bunch of bullies Ron ran away and went into hiding in the storm drain hoping no one would find him. When the coast was clear Ron went exploring and he fell through a air shaft in the floor. When he got up and dusted himself off he could not see anything so he started to extend his hand started to walk forward hoping to feel a wall or something. "Rufus help me find out where is the light switch is, ouf never mind I found it." Ron said. Feeling with his hands what he was hoping was the light switch Ron pulled the non-fuse indoor safety mountable on/off switch and flipped the switch to the on position. When the lights came on Ron noticed that he discovered himself in an abandoned train station with a stopped car. He was amazed that something this big was down here. He started to look around and saw an archway the middle to the station it said Van Horne terminus with a still working clock under it. The ceiling surfaces are composed of white tiles, with green and brown tiles along the perimeter of each ceiling vault. The vaults were constructed of thin terracotta tiles bonded with a string mortar, added in successive layers to form a thin structural vault of great strength; three vaults had leaded glass skylights, which opened upward to vault lights. The skylights, designed with floral tracery, were blacked out during world war 2 and were restored in the 2000s. Additional lighting was supplied by twelve chandeliers hung from the center of the vaults, which contain floral motifs and nickel finishes. The chandeliers near the skylights have five arms, while the others have four. Ron was so amazed by the well hidden place that he decided to turn it into his man cave a place to hide not just from the bullies but from his parents, friends, the possible, and Kim. His very own man cave. Despite his apprehension at the dust and spider webs, he began cleaning up immediately and began moving in.
When Ron found the air shaft he went down the spiral staircase that he himself installed. Going to the formalizer power switch he turned to power on and looked around at what he has brought into his man cave over the years. Under the archway Ron installed a super computer with a table with a computer terminal, a very comfortable game chair, and three computer monitors, a mini fridge, around the room you will see some work station, dojo, workout equipment like a home gym, a forensic lab, and a hammock. "Well Rufus looks like we will have to stay here for a little while until I can finger out what to do next ok." Ron said. "Ok." Rufus said. Sticking his head out of Ron's pocket with two thumps up. Putting his luggage on the floor Ron went to turn on his computer so that he can find out what has been going on since he has been gone.
He started by reading some old newspaper and news cast about what has been going on locally. He read about how the Middleton space center was shut down and all of the scientists lost their jobs, how the economy has been hitting everyone in town, how corruption has taken over, and how the crime rate skyrocketed. Then he started to go to church engines and look up his friends. He started with Kim. How she moved to the Europe to start her GJ courier, how she dated Eric, why she broke it off with him, graduating at the top of her class, how jealous Agent Will Du was that he was no longer GJ's number one agent, finding out about her dad, and finally moving back to the tri-state area. He then moved on to her mom doctor Andrea possible. How she found out about her husband, the divorce, continuing to work at the Middleton medical center, not being able to see her sons because James took them away from her, Kim living so far away with Eric, so vulnerable without him, and hoping that she is not mad at him for leaving.
Then he looked up the bad guys like drakken and shego, monkey fist, and duff killigan, they were all still active trying to take over the world. But now that he's back things are going to change. It's time to show the people of the tri-state area that their city doesn't belong to the criminals and the corrupt. It's time to become a symbol that's incorruptible and everlasting. Turning off the computer Ron went to get ready for bed.
