The night sky was dark. Stars illuminated the landscape. Harry and Luna appeared with a crack in a empty field just west of Rosslare Harbour. Flowers carpeted the ground. Luna bent down and picked one of the pink flowers and placed it in her hair. It was eerily calm out. As they approached the docks Harry and Luna drew their wands in case there was trouble. They searched up and down the cold, damp, docks but there was no sign of Seamus anywhere.
"I don't like this one bit." Said Harry.
They though about using Lumos so they'd be able to see better, but decided against it as to not draw more attention to themselves. The silence was overwhelming. Neither Harry nor Luna could hear anything buy their own footsteps and the occasional sounds of waves coming from the sea. Luna was the first one to notice. She heard footsteps coming down the dock from the south of them. Luna tapped Harry on the shoulder and pointed towards the noise.
"Someones coming." She whispered.
With their wands at the ready they waited in silence as the noise grew louder. An outline of a figure soon became visible. It wasn't Seamus Finnigan but an old man. The old mans hair was graying and was dressed in Muggle clothes. Harry and Luna hid their wands away as to not arouse suspicion.
"We'll now I may not be a Wizard but I know 'em when I see 'em." The old man said.
Harry and Luna looked shocked. How did some random old muggle know they where Wizards? The old man smiled. "Don't worry I'm a friend not a foe." He said. "The names Paul. Paul Pimbleton."
"How did you know we are Wizards?" Harry asked.
"I saw your wands." Paul said. "My friends a Wizard. I can spot 'em a mile away."
Paul reached out and shook Harry and Luna's hands. "Yer friend Seamus is in great danger. He's been put under a grave curse." He explained.
"A curse? What kind of Curse?" Asked Harry. "How do you know Seamus?" Luna added.
"I've known his Grandfather for ages. Great man he is." Paul replied. "The curse is a very old one. Very old indeed. It's the curse of the Banshee."
"Banshee?" Asked Harry. "I've heard Seamus talk about them before but I've never seen one."
"Harry Banshees are a type of human looking beast that usually are only seen here in Ireland. They are seen as a bad omen of sorts. The wailing of a Banshee usually foretells a family members death." Luna explained.
"You know your stuff." Paul said.
"So why is a Banshee after Seamus?" Asked Harry.
"I don't know." Paul frankly replied. "All I know is we have to help him."
"Where is Seamus? He was supposed to meet us here." Harry asked.
"He had to flee to the forest 30 minutes south of here.. The Banshee was after him once again." Paul explained. "He sent me instead to meet you guy.."
"Well what are we waiting for? Lets get heading south." Harry said.
"Its far to dangerous Harry. Why don't you and Luna spend the night at my place?" Paul offered.
"Why not Harry? Paul's right, besides I'm sure Seamus will be fine until morning," Luna said. "I doubt he'd want us to put ourselves in anymore danger than necessary."
"I guess your right." Harry sounded unsure.
They followed Paul who reassured them that they weren't imposing back to his home. It was an old brick townhouse with a rusting tin roof. He led them into his guest bedroom.
"If you need anything don't be afraid to ask." Paul said kindly. Don't get many visitors these days."
Paul shut the door behind him. After he had left Harry and Luna pulled out their wands and transfigured their dress robes into pajamas. They both crawled into bed exhausted by the days events. Harry put his arm around Luna. She looked over at Harry.
"It's been a big day huh Harry." Luna said. Harry did say a word. He ran his fingers trough Luna's long blonde hair before giving her a kiss.
"I'm glad you're my boyfriend Harry." Luna said while staring deep into Harries eyes. "I'm glad I'm your boyfriend too." Harry replied. Shortly after the two of them fell asleep, Harry's arms still wrapped around Luna.
They where sleeping very well until a loud crashing sound woke them up. It was coming from Paul's living room. Harry and Luna drew their wands and went out to investigate. Luna led the way. The old wooden floor creaked loudly with every step they took. She peered around the corner and saw a giant hole in the roof of the house. A trail of broken roof shards and wood splinters led the way down the hall on the opposite side of the room. As soon as they stepped into the living room to investigate the hole they heard a scream. It was coming from Paul's room. Harry and Luna rushed over as fast as they could. Standing over his bed and pinning him to it was a tall, long haired humanoid figure. It was a Banshee. Without a moments hesitation Luna yelled "Defendo!" The spell hit the banshee square in the back. It fell back and let out a blood curdling screech. It curled it hind legs before lunging at Luna. Harry fired off an depluso spell sending the Banshee flying back. It began crawling fast on the floor towards Harry. Before he or Luna could do anything the Banshee slashed at Harry's legs. It's great claws slashed through Harry's pants grazing his right leg. Blood began to drip from Harry's wound. Before he could grasp his injury Harry yelled "SECTUMSEMPRA." It hit the Banshee square in the chest. It exploded into a cloud of Ash. Harry bend down to check his leg. His Hand became wet from the blood.
"Oh Harry! You're hurt!" Luna sounded concerned. She waved her Wand and summoned a roll of bandages and wrapped up Harry's wound.
They soon turned there attention towards Paul who was lying in his bed motionless. He was badly wounded, but still breathing. Luna pulled out her wand and began reciting a spell Harry recognized as a healing spell. He had seen Professor Snape use it on Draco during their time at Hogwarts.
"He's stable for the time being." Luna said.
"We need to get him to St. Mungos right now." Harry said. Luna nodded.
"Right. Harry you head after Seamus and I'll look after Paul." Luna said. "He could be in more danger than we thought."
Harry nodded in agreement before sprinting out the door. Luna grabbed Paul's bloody arm before apparating to St. Mungos.
"Damn, why didn't I bring my broom?" Harry though as he was sprinting down the dark damp road guided only by wand light. His wounded leg was killing him but he had no time to slow down. He had to get to Seamus no matter the cost. The small town quickly turned into farmlands and forests. As Harry made it to the top of an emerald green hill he could see the forest that Paul told them about. Standing on top of the hill he saw it. A forest that went on as far as his eye's could see. After catching his breath Harry walked down and entered the forest almost tripping on a mole hill in the process.
Meanwhile Luna had arrived at St. Mungos with Paul. She carried his unconscious body into the emergency room. Luna walked up to the receptionist desk. Sitting there was an older Witch.
"Help. There's been an attack. My friends been attacked by a Banshee." Luna said frantically.
"A Banshee? Oh my word." The receptionist said as she pressed a button on her desk to call for help. A group of Nurses and Doctors apparated in and took Paul in for care.
Luna took a seat in the waiting room for a moment. She was still shaking from adrenaline from the attack. The waiting room was was mostly empty besides for a younger Wizard wizard who seemed to splinch his arm while trying to apparate and an old Witch who accidentally transfigured her arm in to a crabs claw. Luna's mind raced. She couldn't decide if she should stay and wait for news about Paul or apparate back to Ireland and join back up with Harry. After waiting a while Luna walked back up to the counter.
"Any news on Paul Pimbleton?" Asked Luna.
The witch looked at her notebook that had been enchanted to update on patients conditions as soon as possible.
"It looks like he's still receiving constant spell and potion treatment." The witch said. "He's in pretty bad shape and will need constant care for quite a while."
"I really have to get back to make sure my boyfriends safe. Could you please send me an owl as soon as you hear anything?" Luna ask with an air of sadness and concern in her voice. Luna had lost her mother at a young age so seeing anyone suffering was very upsetting to her. The receptionist happily agreed. Luna apparated from St. Mungo's back to Ireland.
Harry had entered the forest. He noticed a trail of of footprints and broken branches and foliage. His leg was killing him. Harry sad down on a nearby fallen tree to rest for a bit. It was very mossy and cold to the touch. A loud crack startled Harry. He fell off the log. It was Luna she had apparated back.
"You're back." Harry hobbled over her and gave her a hug. "How's Paul?" he asked.
"He's still in intensive care." Luna informed him. "They're supposed to let us know as soon as possible."
Luna checked Harry's leg wound. "It doesn't seem to be too deep." Luna said with a sigh of relief. "Any sign's of Seamus?" She asked.
"I just found this trail here." Harry pointed to the forest floor. "It looks promising."
Luna and Harry followed the trail. The forest was very dark and thick with brush. Harry pulled out his wand. "Lumos!" he yelled. A bright light coming from the tip of his wand lit up the surroundings while Luna used spells to cut through the mess of weeds and vines. They trekked though the forest following the trail for the better part of an hour until they came across a mound of dead trees and stone. The trail led strait to it. Harry and Luna approached carefully as they got closer they though they could hear something inside the makeshift fort.
"Careful. It might be a Banshees nest." Harry told Luna.
Ever so carefully they approached closer and close the noise inside getting louder as they approached. When they where about five feet away a dark figure loudly busted from a crevice of the tree fort. It was Seamus Finnigan. He had his wand pointed strait at Harry ready to fire thinking he was the Banshee.
"H...Harry?" Seamus Stuttered. He was in disbelief.
Seamus looked battered and bruised. He had a black eye and a slash across his cheek. His robes where dirty and torn. Seamus ran up to Harry and gave him a hug.
"You guys came to help." Seamus said to Harry and Luna. He sounded beyond grateful
