Hours later in an undisclosed location, a group of like 10 people in dark robes gather at a table in a dark room. The leader of the group, whose robe is decorated with Red, Blue, and Silver accents starts a meeting.
"I hereby call to order this meeting of The Messengers of Nostal." the leader announces.
To which the others respond with, "Glory to the old ones, truly the universe's most supreme beings."
"Alright everyone I am proud to announce that Phase 1 of Operation Retro Revival was a complete success and we are ready to commence Phase 2." says the leader to an applause.
"Also it has come to my attention that Dillon bought doughnuts to celebrate, we are all free to partake in them." says the leader to more applause and people thanking Dillon.
"So, what do we need to get for Phase 2?" says the smallest member of the group. "It took us months to set up Phase 1, how much longer do we have to wait?"
The leader responds saying, "Worry not my friend, we only need a small shopping list's worth of supplies for this next one. And with the impending chaos and confusion we should be able to get them almost completely unnoticed. We shall-"
The leader is interrupted by the door to the room opening revealing a hotel attendant. "Hey, uh, is everything going okay in here? Can I get you anything? Do you need anything?" The employee asks much to everyone's annoyance.
"*sigh* No, we're fine, everything's fine." says the leader.
"I could actually use s'more coffee creamer if ya please." says a member in a southern accent.
"Alright I'll get you more creamer, and I would like to thank you for choosing Planeptune's Airport Milton for your meeting." the attendant says as he closes the door.
There's a brief pause in the room before the leader breaks the silence, "Can someone go check if that door has a lock on it, or maybe we have a 'Do Not Disturb' sign? That way they'll have to knock first." before someone gets up from the table to check.
Back at the Basilicom, Uzume's alarm is going off. A hand reaches from the bed and fumbles a bit before finding the off button. The CPU then gets up out of bed with a yawn and a stretch.
"*yawn* Oh, man. I must've slept weird, I feel funny." she says as she makes her way to the bathroom.
She makes her way to the bathroom and just as she turns on the light and finishes rubbing the sleep from her eyes. She is greeted by a very surprising reflection in the mirror.
"Huh?" she says as she attempts to process what she's seeing before crying out in shock, "WHAT THE HEEEEELLLLLLLLLL?!"
Uzume's appearance changed quite a bit overnight. Her hair has turned a bright sky blue as have her eyes, her ears have moved up to the top of her head and become much more animal-like complete with blue fur. She has a little blue tail now and her legs are much more pronounced than they were last night.
"Wh-What the heckity heck happened to Uzume?" the freaked out goddess exclaims as she examines herself in the mirror.
"B-B-Blue? E-Ears? T-Tail? A-And oh dang Uzume could run a marathon with these thighs. Wait no, you need to focus Uzume, go find Histy maybe she knows how this ha-" before she can finish her sentence she is whacked in the head with a frying pan by none other than Neptune.
"OW, *grunts* NEPSY WHAT THE HELL?" Uzume yells in anger.
"Wait, Uzume is that you?" Neptune says, clearly surprised.
"Yes it's me now, what's with the frying pan?" says Uzume in response.
"Oh my gosh, I am so sorry I thought you were Kurome! Wait, what even happened to you?" Neptune says as she notices the ears and tail.
"I don't know, I just woke up like this. I was about to go find Histy." says Uzume as she recovers from the whacking.
"Right, she's in the kitchen, let's go!" Neptune says as she pulls Uzume towards the kitchen.
Later in the kitchen after Uzume explains what happened over breakfast, Nepgear is running some scans of Uzume on her N-Gear.
"Well, it appears that your body has changed as a sort of…reaction to something. I just don't know what." Nepgear replies as she looks at the scan results.
"Well, this smells like the start of another adventure with the Protagonist of Protagonists!" the energetic purplette says in excitement.
"I see…okay we'll set out right away." Histoire says as she hangs up a phone and the others turn to look at her.
"That was IF, we've been getting reports that many unidentified structures and landmasses have suddenly appeared all over Planeptune and the surrounding areas." the tiny Oracle says as she floats to the table.
"You think this might be related to what happened to Uzume?" asks Nepgear.
"I'm inclined to believe so as both events occurred miraculously overnight." Histy says in response.
"Well what're we waiting for? Let's Nep right to it! Where's our first stop?" Neptune asks, ready for anything.
"Most interesting to me is an island to the south, specifically in the seas between Paneptune and Leanbox." Histoire replies as she and the other head outside to the balcony.
Neptune and Nepgear transform into their HDD forms as Histoire closes herself up in her book for Purple Heart to carry.
"I wonder what mine looks like now?" Uzume asks concerning her new look. "Welp, only one way to find out! ACCESS!" she cries out as she's enveloped in a bright light.
Her HDD reveals itself looking more or less the same. The only differences being blue instead of orange, and the animal ears and tail.
"Oran- er- Blue Heart's ready to make everyone's dreams come true!" says the valley girl CPU, as bubbly as ever.
The trio smiles at each other before taking off towards the island. Which they arrive at in record time.
"Wow, this forest is so lush!" Nepgear says as the group lands and transforms back, having wound up in a dense forest quite close to a clearing.
Opening her tome up, Histoire says "Alright, let's begin our survey of the area in that clearing over there." pointing at the tree line.
The group walks over there and enters the clearing to an extraordinary view. A huge valley of rolling hills with checker patterned dirt, striped grass, and loop-de-loop and corkscrew rock formation as far as the eye can see. Dotted with palm trees, flowers that appear to be dancing, and small critters running about.
"Holy Craparoni! Tell me you guys are seeing this too!" Neptune says in shock.
"Goodness! Is this what I think it is?" Nepgear says also in shock.
"It can't be! But…it seems to be." Histoire replies, right before Uzume says.
"Green Hill!"
And so another chapter is completed, and Uzume gets a new look. If you're not a fan of Bluzume (not to be confused with Kurome) then worry not. None of this is canon to anything.
I'd say it's because this is an AU, but I feel like that goes without saying. Plus, isn't every fanfiction technically an AU.
