The group stares in awe as they walk through the zone. They follow a path past a loop-de-loop, then a corkscrew, before finally ending up at a large wrecking ball that looks to have been stuck in the ground for a very long time.
"Huh, neat." Neptune says as she examines the ball.
"It would appear that this capsule has been converted into a planter." says Histoire, examining vines coated in flowers growing around an old critter capsule.
"Hey guys look, a town!" shouts Nepgear from the top of a nearby hill.
They head over and come across a quaint little town. Greeting them is a sign saying 'Welcome to Green Hills! Population: 1991' They walk along the main street looking around at the buildings and businesses still opening up for the day.
Then they come across Meh Burger, where they see someone they were honestly pretty much expecting to see at this point.
Standing at 3'3'' with sky blue quills and bright red shoes was none other than Sonic the Hedgehog seated at a table with a small 'human' girl with floofy white hair, pointy ears, dark purple horns jutting out of her head, and a long, scaly, light purple tail wearing a purple dress.
"Oh my gosh, there he is!" Uzume says in shock, everyone clearly having trouble processing what they're seeing.
"I would appear to be Sonic, albeit his classic self, but still!" says Histoire in response.
"Who's that girl he's with? Never seen her in anything before, is this another OC invasion?" says Neptune.
"Sh-Sh-Should we go over there and introduce ourselves?" asks Nepgear.
"I believe it would be best to do so. As odd as it may be." Histoire says responding to Nepgear's question.
Meanwhile at the table, Sonic and the girl have finished their breakfast and have noticed the girls staring at them.
"Hey uh, Nira? How long have those girls been staring at us?" the hedgehog asks the girl.
"No clue, wait is that blonde girl riding on a flying book?" says the girl, now named Nira, as she gets up from the table to approach them.
"Hey, wait up!" Sonic says as he gets up to follow her.
"Heeeyyy!" Nira says as she approaches Histoire and begins examining her.
"Wow, you're like some kinda book fairy! What language is this? What book is this? How is it floating?" Nira asks the tome in a barrage of questions.
"ABABABABABABABABABABABABA!" Histoire mutters in surprise.
"Oh, sorry I didn't mean to freak you out! I've just never seen someone like you before. My name is Nira. And you are?" Nira responds, realizing her mistake.
"Sorry about my friend here, she just really likes finding stuff that's…y'know…out of the ordinary. But uh, I also couldn't help but notice that you've been standing here watching us for the past few minutes. Is there something we can help you with?" Sonic says as he approaches the group.
"Oh, uh that's fine." Neptune says, clearly very nervous.
"So, are you all new here? I don't think I've seen you around befo-" Sonic pauses as he notices Uzume staring at him bug-eyed.
"Nira, why am I seeing God when I'm still alive?" says the hedgehog now staring bug eyed at the blunette.
Nira turns to see what Sonic's talking about before seeing Uzume and blurting out, "GOOD GODS THAT'S THE ALMIGHTY TENNOUBOSHI!"
"Almighty…Tennouboshi? What exactly do you mean by that?" Nepgear asks "Do you know about Uzume?"
"Well yeah, she's the SEGAN Goddess of Creation. She created this planet for the people on the other side of, some big glass wall I think? I don't really know the full story." Nira says before explaining further.
"I created a freakin planet?!" the tomboy exclaims.
"It's said that she possessed an unwieldy power that eventually got so out of control that she placed herself into eternal slumber to contain it, where she would remain until being saved by a band of heroes led by a girl with purple hair." she replies.
"It was a very strange and extremely specific legend. There was also something about a talking fish. Neat story!" Sonic says as they finish telling the tale.
"Well whoever wrote that legend definitely has the best taste in heroes." Neptune quips, clearly knowing who the purple-haired hero is supposed to be.
"So, it would appear that these characters worship CPUs as their creation deities. This is most fascinating. I wonder if anything similar is in place for the makers?" Histoire says in excitement.
"Oh, but where are our manners? We haven't introduced ourselves. I am Histoire, oracle of the nation of Planeptune, and these are Planeptune's guardian goddesses Neptune, Nepgear, and Uzume Tennouboshi." she says as the girls wave in response to their names.
"So, what exactly brings several goddesses all the way out here?" Nira asks. "South Island isn't exactly the most interesting place to be these days. Nothing's really happened here since Sonic got back from the Starfall Islands 8 months ago."
"Well actually, we didn't come here. You-" Nepgear is then interrupted by Dave the Intern speaking from the front counter.
"Our planet fused with their planet. It's all over the news. On Channel 5." The unhappy beaver says as he turns up the volume on a nearby TV. "Now leave me alone, I'm on my break." He then starts playing paddleball.
The TV then plays the intro for 'Ulala's Swingin Report Show' before Ulala herself struts onto the scene.
"Mornin space cats! This is Ulala reporting to you live from the streets of a city known as Planeptune where it would appear that our world, alongside many other worlds in The Gamble Galaxy have fused with a newly discovered world called Gamindustri. Let's hit the streets and try to find out just what's happening here." The reporter then goes around interviewing random people and characters throughout Planeptune.
Compa appears on-screen and says, "Well, I'm really not sure what's going on but, I'm sure Nep-Nep and the others can fix it."
IF appears on screen and says, "To everyone watching, The Guild is setting up information kiosks for the newcomers. If you have any questions about this world, just ask the Guild members stationed there."
The camera then turns to show an information kiosk where Alex Kidd is reading a pamphlet, with Elliot Edwards and Claris Sinclair waiting behind him in line.
A bunch of Chu-Chus are shown hiding under a bench asking, "Are the Kapu-Kapus gone yet?" To which Ulala responds "I don't see any, you guys are okay it's safe to come out."
Then Linda, a former ASIC Underling, is shown speeding away in the Marvelous Queen shouting "SEE YA SUCKER!" After which Fang the Sniper chases after her yelling "HEY, GET BACK HERE WITH MY QUEEN YA WITCH!"
Then B-Sha of Gold Third appears and says "I think it's pretty cool!" Before Pac-Man comes on screen to tell his side of what happened.
"Well I was on my way home from the maze, when suddenly all of Pac-Land just went all white. Next thing I knew I was here, I tried to find the way back but I got lost. Then B-Sha found me and let me stay the night at her place."
"Cmon Pac, let's look closer towards the Basilicom. Pac-Village has to be here somewhere." B-Sha says as she motions for the yellow ball to follow her.
The camera then turns back to Ulala before she signs off saying, "More information will be released as it develops. Now here's Blib with the weather!"
Neptune then turns to Nira and asks "So Nira was it? Never seen you in any of the games, or the comics, or the cartoons. What's your story?"
"Eh, it's kind of a long one. But the short version is Sonic and Tails found me in a cave some years back and I've lived here with them guarding the chaos emeralds ever since. I also leave rings, monitors, and star posts around to help Sonic find the emeralds." Nira says as Histoire notices Nira is carrying a satchel, and in this satchel is a purple gem, which Histoire is able to recognize after 3 seconds.
"Is that a dragonstone? Would you happen to be a manakete?" Histoire asks quizzically.
"Well, I am a dragon but-" Nira says before being cut off by Uzume.
"Hey guys! Looks like we've got a situation!" Uzume then points towards the mainland where everyone can see the Flying Battery making its way towards Planeptune's Capital followed by a swarm of badniks.
"How did we not notice that HUGE tower until just now?!" the dragon child questions.
Sonic and Nira turn to each other and Sonic says to the dragon "Well, looks like we get to see where the gods live."
Nira then pulls out her dragonstone and uses it to summon her large, scaly, light purple wings. Histoire then returns to her tome as the other girls transform.
"What's with the getups?" Sonic asks, surprised by their sudden changes in appearance.
"We'll explain on the way, for now let's go! Eggman does not get to touch my stuff!" Purple Heart says as they all take to the skies flying towards the impending battle. With Nira carrying Sonic as she flies.
And that's another wrap. We finally meet Blue Boi and we also meet Nira, a manakete responsible for helping Sonic and Co. (in this universe anyways) find the Chaos Emeralds.
I have plans for future stories taking place before this one going into detail of how Sonic and Co. met Nira and a bunch of other stuff (i.e. adaptations of game stories to show the differences between this classic continuity and the modern continuity)
