A young light brown haired man wearing the standard Yggdmillenia uniform and black glasses walked slowly ,beneath his feet, his shadow cast long shapes upon the hallways of the Millenia Fortress as dragged himself forward, making sure each step was more careful then the last. From the way they were quivering, he did not trust them to hasten his pace. His staggered advance echoed nosily down the walkway,
his name is Caules Forvedge Yggdmillennia and he was summoned to the throne room for some reason by his grandfather
'I should not even be here!' He thought between his panicked steps
Caules Forvedge Yggdmillennia was not a very powerful magus, with all of the Forvedge family's talent having gone to his sister.
He is the lowliest of the Masters with poor aptitude in his family's magecraft Spiritual Evocation,
Caules could not care less about what they thought. He never wanted to be a Magus in the first place, it was simply required of him to do so. To be a spare and caretaker of his older sister. No one expected anymore from him. Largely ignored by the other families that made up the Yggdmillennia, he took the chance to venture into other paths for his life
he had not even wanted to become a magus at all.
He was only to act as a "spare" for his sister. despite his disinterest, it was a path he wanted for himself, and he was able to do what was required of him to support the fate of their entire clan, simply to study his craft until the Great Holy Grail War interrupted those plans,he was originally to travel to Romania as simple backup, the Command Spells began to manifest upon his arrival. With no choice, he was forced to participate as a Master
Caules peeled his head from his clammy hand, revealing the cursed symbol of his fortune once more he was trampled upon ,once more his desire was denied. Once more he was to be scorned by fate for sins that were not his own.
So why the hell was he summoned ?
"Caules Forvedge Yggdmillennia pays his respect Your Majesty ." He bowed in the dimly lit throne room, he could feel members of his house around him like sharks smelling blood. Sharing sneers of cold contempt,( amused contempt in Cousin Celenike's case.)
"Raise your head." a voice rang from a marble throne: a pronounced, powerful, voice that was as compelling and frightening as the man it belonged to. Caules turned to the de facto leader of the Black faction, but only met his eyes. There was no threat there, but an overwhelming presence that caused the unfortunate boy to tremble.
Vlad III Tepes, Lancer of Black regarded Caules with a calm expression " Do you know why have we called you here ? "
" No,my king"
In response Valad III turned to his right and said something and an homulculus girl steeped forward
" Do you recognise her Caules ?"
" You are that esper !?"
he happened to run into her by accident and was slightly suprised to find out that she was an esper (he had seen enough anime to know what that term ment)
" So you are familiar with that term have you met one of these espers ?" Darnic asked
Caules blinked "No, not really but I have read about them elder "
His grandfather narrowed his eyes" very well then Caules you are now responsible for the training her "

"To be honest I didn't know that you could use electricity like this" Caules exclaimed as he saw Misa hack into his laptop and order a bunch of food
Caules unlike most magus had abundant present-day knowledge (considering he owns a computer and he was the one to teach Fiore about cell phones and als his modern interests such as an interest in video games, music and anime
" By picturing a system in my head and manipulating minute electrical currents in the electronics, I can perform precise hacking and control devices without any physical inputs. "

Caules was actually well aware of her condition considering that it was one of the first things he learnt about her ,he had previously cast psychoscopy a summoning magecraft that allows the user to pick up and play back the thoughts or "residual memories" Psychoscopy allows a magus to attune on some level with the circumstances of when the thoughts had been left in that place. A skillful magus would be capable of maintaining a balance between synchronizing with the event and blocking their own sensations, but as Caules is not that good, he experienced the same pain that the victim experienced
Which involved Misa's first death
Caules shivered at the memory he was so glad that he wasn't born as a homulculi or clone
That incident gave him a new perspective that fact that a person can be reborn seemed to make the risk of him dying in the war seem not so bad if he dies well he just be reborn again hopefully in a better life and also a little sympathy for Misa it's bad enough that you end up being used as an disposable tool in your first life only to be reborn as another one but that's all he could feel he was a magi those who become removed from sentimentality and compassion and would massacre thousands for the sake of research.for him only his family's goal and name is important everything else is an afterthought
" Um Misa about your death...and you know your new life what do you think of it ? "

Caules sighed from the moment they were born, forged by alchemy, the homunculi were well and fully matured. They were man-made organisms, born to fight, born to destroy, and born to die.
" Why don't you tell me more about your previous world ? "
Two hours past midnight, and the city of Trifas is already deep in slumber, with the Fortress of Millennia looking down upon it as though in contempt.
Within one of the rooms Caules lay on his bed
An alternative timeline where magic may be non-existent a world where espers reigned supreme and the most bothering of all the level 6 it sounded way to much like reaching the swirl of the root
" honestly it seems way too unbelievable" he sighed right now he has to teach a science clone,homulculi whatever how to use magic the prospect excited and troubled him
' It can't be that hard right?'
( Six days later)
"Switch on...understanding the basic structure of material and auxiliary components reinforcing... success!! "
" Caules-sama I did it " Misa bluntly showed a reinforced halbard to Caules
Caules blinked " huh you actually did it "
Reinforcement while being a basic magecraft was quite hard to grasp normally it would take a week to master it and move on to the more advanced spells
Since there was nothing much for him to teach her yet he had just showed her how to. use projection, tracing and reinforcing
projecton bearly took a day for Misa and since he was busy with meeting and helping out his sister he left Misa to try and trace a halbard which he honestly expected her to take at least a week or two which was the reason why he had her perform it infront of him
Unlike most homulculus Misa for some reason had very little knowledge about magecraft (probably because of her premature 'birth')
The other reason being was to see if she could combine her eleto-hacking ability with tracing
" Now Misa see if you can use tracing along with your hacking to get faster results.." he paused " after that let's see Uncle Gordes might still have is elemental testing kit so report to me after your finished "
Honestly he had very little idea on how to train her except maybe trying to get her use tracing to enhance her hacking skills maybe teach her transmulsion and a bunch of spells, despite to overly found of magecraft he likes being able to interact with "absurd, scientifically impossible phenomena" using his own hands,and combining an "absurd, scientifically impossible phenomena" with "absurd but scientifically possible phenomena " that was something he found very interesting
(Two days later)
Caules has been restless lately, especially when faced with the glares of the other, more experienced magi of Yggdmillennia but that was not the main reason he was restless
Caules Forvedge Yggdmillennia had finally discovered his origin and element which is electricity is sister discovered it while he was Electrical Magecraft to teach Misa and once grandfather heard about it and immediately ordered him to focus on it,normally learning another magecraft apart from your family's was looked down upon but considering they were going to a war survival took highest priority it will be stupidity to get killed just because you used a magecraft that your not good at
Right now in an small room he was learning how to adjust bioelectric currents to activate someone's od and increase the rate of their body's natural healing on a test rat(actually it's a field mouse)
" You must try to distribute the current evenly Caules-sama " Misa adviced
" Yeah got it " Caules replied as he adjusted the output
Since Misa knew more about electricity she thaught him more about manipulation of electricity while he taught her about magic and they both focused on combineing what they learnt from each other to try and create new spells
" Ne Misa are you okay you've been scratching your hand for sometime now " Caulesasked off-handedly
" It is a red rash that's been an annoying itch "

Caules jaw dropped as he looked at it his eyes widening making him look like an owl with spectacles "T-t-that's a command seal!! Why you have a command seal!!!!??"

Every since his grandfather heard about how he learnt about espers from manga he reserved an entire section in the library for it
Of course he didn't get the point that it was just stories made up by some talented author
(Caules had a heard him making plans to stop evil alien conqueror from invading the nation)
Well either ways it's not really that bad he thought as he opened his room door and saw Misa in a cute skimpy maid uniform
