Just a note before I start the actual chapter itself; if you are a fan of stories set in the Mobuseka world, then you owe it to yourself to check out these other stories that are all amazing in their own ways, written by some really talented folks:

1. 99 Problems by BakaSmurf, Dr. Doctor, and Lord Trent Blackmore

/works/26632678

In this story, the Bartfort triplets go to find Luxion instead of Leon. They are forced to weave their way the mangled politics of this shitty otome games while not pissing of the sarcastic battleship. Luxion is not nearly as broken as he is in the original, the politics are genuinely interesting, and the threats they face are much more dangerous. If you want a version of the story where the protagonists have to actually put in constant work for things to turn out ok, then this is one you should be reading. Just note that it is much darker than any of the others.

2. The Poor Baron's Route by Surayo

s/14244488/1/The-Poor-Baron-s-Route

This one is an interesting take, wherein Leon doesn't go to the academy, and instead takes on a position as a knight of Duke Vince Rapha Redgrave. An interesting what if, that is updated regularly.

3. Hate has a reason for everything: But Love is Unreasonable by drakensis

s/14009535/1/Hate-has-a-reason-for-everything-But-Love-is-Unreasonable

This story is a incredibly interesting crossover story that involves several well known Otome-esc stories being thrown into Tapped in a Dating Sim. This works far better than most other established works due to the fact that the Author of the webnovels/light novels focused very little on the world itself, leaving a lot of places that crossover characters and events can seamlessly be slotted in, while feeling very natural.

4. The Hidden Dungeon in the World of Otome Games is Tough For Mobs by Den1al

This one is a fun mix up of Mobuseka and the Hidden Dungeon Only I Can Enter. The MC is far more motivated than Leon while also not being a wimp when it comes to women. Not much to say here, just go read it, I promise its worth it!

You'd think that riding in what is essentially a rowboat, flying at 80 kph (49.7 mph) 1.5 km (0.93 miles) above the water would be terrifying, but it was actually incredibly fun! I essentially just turned my dingy into a damn speedboat! It was because of that speed that I have managed to make great time, covering a multi-week trip in just a few short days.

It wasn't all smooth sailing though. I spent the first day heading towards a tiny unpopulated island on the way in order to open a portal into my Pocket Dimension to rest, resupply, and switch to my Manta (a military VTOL from RWBY), but that didn't happen! Apparently, in order to create portals to access your dimension you needed to have the Rainbow Bridge perk, not All Roads Lead Home like I assumed. Remember kids, if you get the option to choose your own isekai adventure, read through everything CAREFULLY!

After that little mishap, I just continued to follow my magic compass on the ship. The compass itself looks like a little box with six dials. The top of the box has a compass mounted to it with two needles, blue for destination and red for your current heading. You set the destination by dialing in the latitude, and longitude. It is fairly accurate all the way down to the seconds.

Back to the present, I was flying through an area with with no wind present when the needle started to spin uncontrollably. All I could say was, "hell yeah!" I started scanning the water below looking for a glowing green spot; low and behold, one appeared around 500 m (1640.42 ft) off the port bow (front left side). I set the ship down, while using reinforcement magic on the boat as necessary. As, soon as I touched the water, the boat was launched into the sky, towards the large cloud that I had previously ignored in favor of finding the glowing marker.

As the boat ascended, my reinforcement was barely managing to keep the damn thing together. If I didn't have the extra mana from Arthur's Dragon Core, it would have been nothing but driftwood. As I broke through the clouds, I could see the beautiful deciduous forests of the island; as well as, the overgrown ruins of the lab/dock where Luxion lay. I used most of my remaining mana to gently land the boat without letting it break apart.

Once I had set the boat in a clearing barely large enough for her, I could immediately tell that my thoughts were correct. There's a portal on the island. I grabbed my sword, jumped off the boat, and then immediately made my way towards the portal. I quickly realized that the portal was in the same direction as the ruins. I guess this just became a stealth mission. I quietly ran 4 kilometers (2.49 miles) inland towards the ruins in just under 7 minutes thanks to my D rank Agility and C+ Endurance. While my stats are some of the lowest among servants, I still completely outclass anyone else in the world, save for maybe The Black Knight, Vandel Him Zenden.

As soon as I could see the building, I slowed down and began to sneak my way towards the building trying to sense where the portal was. After circling around most of the building, I found it! I quickly snuck forward, watching out for security bots, and made it to the mostly intact back wall. As I approached, a distortion appeared on the wall, it shimmered before showing the island within. Without hesitation I entered the pocket dimension, where my dream home resides.

As I stepped inside the pocket dimension, I was greeted with a light breeze that carried the salty smell of the little ocean, and the feeling of soft sand giving way underneath worn leather boots. Looking around I couldn't help but feel shocked! I know they said that I'd get an island mansion, but just, "damn." How else was I supposed to react? One second I trying to avoid security robots, while sneaking through the underbrush, then next I'm in front of a gorgeous white mansion with a mahogany porch on a private white sand beach. It was hard to wrap my head around the fact that it was all mine!

I made my way up the tropical hill and that's when I saw it, sparkling mahogany floors, clean white paint, and top of the line stainless steel appliances. I went over to the freezer and pulled out the greatest food man has ever made...Pizza! I threw it in the oven, which somehow managed to heated up instantly, then sat at one of the seats on the backside of the island and waited. Once it was done, I devoured the entire 12" meatlovers like it was nothing.

After gorging myself on the finest dish I have had in this lifetime, I walked around for a bit, marveling at the spacious and warm interior layout before finally finding the master bedroom. I walked inside and immediately smiled. "Now that's a bedroom." It was a square room with a massive bed (we all know why), smooth white walls with wood accents, a white desk with embedded RGB lighting, a gorgeous all white PC with matching peripherals, plush beige carpet, a master bathroom, a walk-in closet, a laundry machine built into the wall, and a wall mounted 8k OLED with 240 refresh rate.

After admiring the room for a bit, I took off my clothes and threw them in the washing machine, before hopping in the shower because I missed having one. Sure, between Potpurri and Time-Savers I always smelled good, and was never dirty, but there are some things in life that you just have to have.

After getting cleaned up, I went to my closet and threw on a simple gray tank top and matching sweatpants. I wanted to watch some TV, but I knew I had a big day ahead of me, so I just jumped in bed, and promptly passed out.

"Gooood morning Vietnam," I said while stretching. "Alright then, plan for today, eat breakfast, get kitted up in the armory, find the access cards while fragging any security bots dumb enough to stand between me and my space battleship, acquire said battleship, and steak for lunch. Yep, seems like a plan to me!"

I went to the kitchen and grabbed the bacon, eggs, and hash browns. I mostly zoned out while letting Farie Feast work its magic, though I did make sure to turn it down from food-gasm levels. This wasn't Food Wars after all. I figured out what loadout I was going to use, and the foods done. Eggs, bacon, and hash browns were always good, but this was plan ridiculous!

After experiencing the most sinful meal of either of my lives, I immediately headed towards the back of the house where the armory is located.

The armory was a medium sized warehouse with several empty cases, one of which actually had my gun-like magic rods alongside my pride and joy Excalibur. Walking around the room I spotted several vending machines? Yes those were in fact, vending machines. It turns out that due to the shear number of weapons, armors, and ammunition types available, the company decided to equip the armory with a touchscreen vending machine for each.

When I finished kitting myself up, I looked like a 21st century mercenary. I was decked out in tan combat boots, camo cargo pants, light green long-sleeved shirt, a tan tac vest with a US flag patch, tan combat gloves, sun glasses, and a light green baseball cap. For weapons, I had a USP .45 on my hip, and an AAC Honey Badger loaded with sub sonics, an under barrel grenade launcher, a flashlight, and a red dot sights.

I walked to the nearest mirror in the house and smiled. "Oh I know what the ladies like," I said, channeling my inner Avery Johnson. After that I opened up the portal to the outside, ready to smite some patrolling scrapheaps.

Stepping out of the pocket dimension, I brought my rifle up in the closest approximation I could make to a proper shooting stance. Now I know what you all might be wondering, "Leon, Excalibur could turn those robots into scrap metal far more efficiently than a 21st century rifle could. Why bother to use it?" The answer is style. I've always wanted to feel like an army ranger, so I was gonna do it one way or another! Besides, by combining original Leon's bullet guidance and enhancement spell with Ernesti's lightning magic, I can make every round into a suppressed lightning bullet.

I heard a branch snap on my left and turned while dropping to one knee I pointed my rifle towards where the sound came from. Turning I saw a rusty security bot at around 150 meters. I quickly cast the lightning enhancement spell, lined up my sight with its crimson eye, and let two off. Pfffttt, pfffttt. The bullets raced toward the target glowing with electricity, allowing me to follow their flight path with my eyes. I watched as both bullets went right into its lightly armored neck before it could raise its weapon, they unloaded their high energy payload right into its vulnerable internals. The robot spasmed for a minute before falling still, smoking. "Fuuuuu," I let out the breathe I was unintentionally holding in. "Now that was awesome!"

I proceeded to make my way through the facility, unloaded a nasty double tap into three more robots before finding the half open door that I knew I needed to go through. Thanks to my strength C rank, I effortlessly forced open the half-closed door, in order to get my hands on the first key card I needed. Walking into the room I scanned it with my rifle despite knowing their would be no robots in here, can't give up on the cosplay now. I quickly found the slumped over skeleton who had the card on them. "Sorry man, I need this key to save the world. You know, the usual shit." After saying that I search him until I find the key in his coat pocket, I pocketed it and moved on.

After getting lost for a bit, much to one poor security bots detriment, I finally found a door that still had power. After swiping the card through the pad, the door open with a rusty squeak. Inside was a breakroom with the skeletons, who I was pretty sure were the scientists who designed Luxion, leaning on each other. "I know you're dead and all, but I hope you have a better life now than the one you had." I saw while gripping the steel cross I here on a chain around my neck.

After taking the key card I needed from the skeletons, I processed to follow he corridor in accordance with the route I know from the game, that I..never...played, god this substitution into a guy who was also an isekai protag is just so weird. Oh well, I'll get used to that aspect of it...eventually.

After walking cautiously for some time, I can to a corner. I peaked around the corner carefully which allowed me to see the multi legged crab bot. With four legs, a well armored upper torso, and miniguns for arms, it reminded me of those crab terminators from the old PS3 game, just with mini guns instead of cannons.

I loaded a 40mm Dual-Purpose round into my grenade launcher, leaned around the corner, fired, and ducked behind cover again. The pressure from the shockwave made me deaf temporarily. I was just thankful the corridor was long enough for the round to actual go off on impact. After popping my ears, I refocused myself, and peaked the corner to see if is was dead, it wasn't. The explosion had shattered both front legs, ripped off its right arm, damaged the left arm, and blown a large chuck out of its torso armor though.

"Well you're on tough son-of-a-b*tch aren't ya?" Chuckling a bit from my joke, and leaned switch the fire selector the full-auto. I leaned around the corner, and lined up with the bot's electronics that were visible thanks to the hole my grenade made. I steadied my grip, cast the lightning spell, and squeezed the trigger.

Walking past the smoking husk of the crab bot, I dropped my empty magazine before loaded a new one and sending the bolt forward. The bot was dead after 7 rounds, so I didn't needed to unload the other 13, but who cares? I regret nothing, it was delightfully therapeutic. Had to check for a pulse ya know?!

Using the key card, I walked through the door and plunged into the dark below. I flicked on my weapons flashlight allowing me to make my way through to dark without tripping over the skeletons. After walking for almost ten minutes, I finally made it into the dock, my thoughts? The place was a total mess! Vines and roots covered everything, and there were huge holes in the ceiling! Most of ships were inoperable wrecks, having been cannibalized for resources.

Amidst the ruins of an age long past there he sat, Luxion! His 700 m (2296.59 ft) long gunmetal gray hull stood, covered in roots and vines, but undamaged all the same. The only T8 character in this world, and the key to its survival.

AN: I apologize for the late release, but life got in the way. Once again, the chapter was way longer than I intended it to be, so I have to cut it off earlier than expected. Next chapter will be out Wednesday at the earliest, and will cover the battle between Leon and Luxion with some preparations. Thanks for the patience guys!
