Chapter 2: Explanations? Na, I'm good!
In life, I knew that some things were impossible. One of them being me having an incredibly realistic 'dream' about Skyrim, But something tells me that this might be more than just a dream… If by the fact that I am being held against my will, stripped of my only belongings (My backpack and dagger), and being interrogated mean anything, it is that I am short pressed out of luck.
But how did I get into this situation?
Well, it started when I entered the building, following a Nord named Hadvar…
-With Hadvar and Jester-
As we entered through the main entrance, I saw that the Nord had took a breath from running from the dragon before talking. The room we were in seemed like a small barrack that had a few chests.
"(Sigh) Thank the gods that we are safe for now… Now, You two-…Where is Nora?" The Nord asked me with a questioning gaze.
"She went with your old buddy Ralof to the other side. I am here with you because I thought you would be lonely without them." I said while going to a chest to find some proper shoes… or Imperial Boots in this case. My shoes were getting old and torn anyways.
"…Nobody else would have known about that outside my town, and I am sure that Ralof wouldn't have said anything about us being old friends, so that only confirm my suspicions…" Hadvar said while walking up to me while I was putting on my 'new' boots.
I heard him draw his sword, but before I could have the chance to react, the sword was then placed onto my shoulders as I stiffened up at the sudden action.
"You know something about the dragon attack, my name before I even spoke of it, and a bit of background my old enemy… Who exactly are you?" Hadvar spoke in a cold voice.
Ahh shit… maybe I should have kept a vague background about myself… Well… too late now I guess.
"I already told you who I was, I am Jester-" I tried to lie again, but I was swiftly interrupted.
"You honestly believe me to believe that bullshit tale again? And to think that I actually felt sorry for you. Spill the truth, before I spill your blood." Hadvar threatened as he inched the blade closer to my neck.
"I know a lot of things that I could tell you, but that would take all day to try to explain, and by the fact that the dragon is going to destroy the keep within a few minutes, I don't think I can really explain anything without us dying in the process." I took a bluff card to see if he would buy it. The shaking and the roar of the dragon made Hadvar think about the decision.
In the game, the building doesn't actually collapse in the process, but I hope that I can bullshit my way out of this then somehow escape from this place to start on a new adventure.
"I see… you do have a point there… You are off the hook for now, but after all this, I expect answers." I held a hidden smile. "However, the moment you try anything funny, you are good as dead." And I had a grim feeling inside, but I didn't let it deter me.
As I reached for another piece of equipment, Hadvar stopped me by tapping my shoulder with the side the blade.
"I won't let you put on any more 'protective' equipment; I am sure that you already know why Jester…" Hadvar hinted at my real reason for wanting armor.
"…Can I at least have the forearm protection?" I quietly pleaded.
"No, get moving, Prisoner." Hadvar immediately answered as he shoved me to the next room at swords point.
-Present time-
"Oh yeah… That is how it happened…" I spoke in realization.
"How what happened?" Nora Inquired.
"How I got myself into this situation." I rhetorically answered with a deadpan.
This small action of mine had immediately got rewarded with a hard smack to the side of my head with the side of the iron war axe wielded by Nora.
(BONK!)
"AAARG, DAMN IT!" I cried out in pain as I covered the area that the Nord woman hit.
"I suggest that you start talking, and then if you cooperate, we may let you go after we get out of here." Nora replied while boreally tossing her spinning axe and catching it repeatedly.
"But before we do that that lass, Hadvar, as much as I want to kill you now, I will offer you this one chance to flee with your life. Can't risk valuable information being leaked to the Empire." Ralof exclaimed as he pulled out his own iron axe.
"Why? And let you have the secrets behind the dragon attack and other plans? Not on your life." Hadvar had brandished his sword.
Nora was about to intervene by siding with Ralof, but I spoke out first.
"Hadvar, Ralof… I see no reason why you should be fighting… why do you even hate each other?" I spoke up while still clutching my head with one hand.
The trio had stopped in their tracks and turned to me with a dumbfounded expression.
"W…what did you just say? No reason you say?!" Hadvar had a voice that was full of disbelief.
"Have you been ignorant of what the cause of the war has been about?!" Ralof had raised his voice in anger at me.
"Oh I am fully aware of how it started. It started ever since the Empire had written out a peace treaty with the Aldmeri Dominion with the treaty basically banning the worship of Talos. I just find it really fucking stupid that you Nords are so short sighted that you would fight against the Empire, rather than the real cause, which is the Thalmor. And Hadvar, don't act like you like the Thalmor either. You both have seen how cocky they act as they kill many of your kin, not the Empire. Makes you wonder why the war is waging against the Empire in the first place…" I spoke my mind.
"…Where are you getting at…" Hadvar had squinted his eyes in suspicion.
I was about to reply, but before I could, another shockwave had shaken the entire place as we all stumbled in our places.
"…As much as I would like to answer that question, I would suggest that we escape the keep first, then ask questions later. Does a truce sound good?" I asked them all, to which they thought about it a moment as Alduin had then caused another shockwave, causing a brick to fall down from the ceiling.
"F-Fine, but this truce is only temporary Ralof. You hear me traitor?!" Hadvar exclaimed.
"Try not to anger me too often, I might just get rid of you myself if I have too." Ralof had growled back.
Huh… that was easier than I thought… Well, it's a start to what I wanted in the first place… though… I wanted better circumstances for myself…
As Hadvar opened the door to the area below, we all followed with my belongings still seized by the angry muffin called Nora.
"Hey uh… Nora?" I asked the female Nord who was following Hadvar.
"What." She annoyedly answered.
"Can I have my items back now?" I asked.
"No. Keep talking, and I will cut out your tongue with your own dagger." Nora monotoned.
"Damn, what have I ever done to you!?" I raised my voice.
"You fell on me, got me captured by the imperials which would have resulted in beheading, insulted me by calling me violent, and you attempted to attack us. Need I continue your sin count?" Nora listed off.
"Erk!? The first two don't count! That was out of my control! If I could have avoided you, I would have! And you insulted me first! As for the last one it would have been in self-defense since I was already at swords point by Hadvar and you were approaching me with your axe out you brute!" I retorted which resulted in angering the Nord woman.
"Why you little-"
(BONK!)
"ARG! Again with the head!" I cried out in pain, falling down as Nora hit me with the back of the axe.
"Call me a brute one more time, and I will make sure that you will pay for it!" Nora threatened.
"Ralof! Hadvar! I am being subjugated to cruel and unusual punishment! Apprehend and reprimand her unjust actions!" I cried out to the two older Nords.
"Enough you two. You can bicker all you want as soon as we are outside." Hadvar plainly talked as he turned to us.
"Heh, as much as your quarrels amuse me, I would prefer that we weren't under a dragon attack." Ralof spoke while chuckling a bit while maintaining a serious mood as the area shook again.
Nora had huffed as she turned to go ahead of everyone as I had sighed in defeat as I got up from the ground.
As the three of us were catching up to Nora, she was about halfway in the hallway where the building was going to collapse-
"Oh shit…" I mumbled as my eyes widen in horror as the information clicked. I lost all control in my body and bolted into a sprint as I just heard the surroundings start to shake and crack from another shockwave from Alduin.
Hadvar and Ralof were stumbling as I past them to Nora as they were going to trying to regain their balance.
A thought had come to mind as I was unconsciously sprinting towards Nora. Why am I rushing to my demise to try to save someone who has been nothing but a pain in the ass to me?
"NORA, MOVE!" I yelled out as she was also stumbling about like the others.
Nora looked to be horrified of failing to maintain her balance as the area shook with the hall starting to give away from the sudden shockwave as I was a meter away from her, getting ready to push her out of the way as the rubble began to give away.
I tackled Nora as I gave her an extra push to make sure that she was out of the rubble's path falling on my stomach. Pain then erupted as I felt the huge rocks and pieces of wood above me began to land on their mark in my left leg.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH, FFFAAAARRGH, DAMN IT ALL TO HELL!" I screamed out cursing in pain with tears building up in my eyes as I heard the door next to me open revealing two Imperial soldiers.
"What in oblivion?! Isn't that one of the escaped prisoners? Put him out of his misery!" One of the soldiers ordered the other.
The one that was approaching me with his sword out and was getting ready to impale me as I tried to pull out my trapped leg, much to my displeasure of the pain that followed.
'…No, I don't want to die… I don't want to die! I DON'T WANT TO DIE, I DON'T WANT TO DIE, I DON'T WANT TO DIE!' I mentally panicked as the soldier came closer as I continued to pull my leg. I can feel the tearing of the skin and muscle as I saw blood leaking from my boot as my heart began to pound faster and faster, my life was flashing before my eyes, and forgetting how to breath properly.
It was a suffocating feeling of helplessness as my soon to be death approached me as i saw my life flash before my eyes.
Not even past the beginning of the game and I am already going to die, WHAT KIND OF SICK JOKE IS THIS?!
Right before the Imperial was about to land a lethal blow as I stared helplessly at the assailant, an iron axe had been violently embedded into the skull of the soldier, killing him instantly. Nora was the one who had saved me, as she glanced at me to make sure that I was alright as I looked at my savior, forgetting the immense pain for even a moment. the other Imperial soldier had tried to attack Nora with his sword. Her axe still embedded in the dead body, she maneuvered the dead body to block the attack and push the dead body onto the soldier making the soldier fall over. She took out my dagger she had on her and drove the steel dagger into the skull of the Imperial soldier.
I just stared in awe on what I was witnessing as the short battle that Nora displayed. As she turned to me, she ran up to me and looked at the injury of the still stuck leg.
"…Why…" Nora asked in a confused voice.
But before she could say anymore, we heard more footsteps coming from the same room that the Imperial soldiers came out of. Nora immediately got into battle position with the iron war axe in one hand and the steel dagger in the other in reverse grip as she prepared for another round.
But to our surprise, it was Ralof and Hadvar running out of the room.
"Jester, Nora, Is everything alright, we heard some screaming and-?!" Hadvar spoke as he looked at the two dead imperial soldiers on the ground.
"…I… trust that this was in self-defense" Hadvar had asked looking down at his faction's dead bodies
"It was self-defense-Urk!? They were going to kill me, Nora helped-GAH! Could… Ugh, could I please get some help?" I explained while talking through the pain.
"Hadvar, Questions come later. We need to help Jester now. Help me pick up the rubble around the leg."
Shaking his head, Hadvar had followed the orders given to him and helped Ralof lift a few heavy rocks with Nora helping to pull put my leg out of the fallen rubble.
"MMMMMGGH-SSSSSHHHHH!" I groaned in pain and sucked in air through my teeth as my foot was 'relieved' of the pressure of being crushed, but I could still feel that.
Nora had pulled off the boot to look at the damage, to my discomfort, my foot looks to be a bit twisted with a few cuts, tears, and bruises, it looks to be in 'good' condition, despite being crushed by a few hundred or thousand pounds of wood and rock.
"Don't be such a milk drinker. It doesn't even look that bad, so be thankful that we don't have to amputate it." Nora commented as she patted my still hurting leg, in which I reacted in pain to her amusement.
'AMPUTATED!?' I mentally panicked.
"H-healing potions. Who has any?" I spoke out as all three had shook their heads.
"We don't have any… But I do know a Healing Hands spell that would help… but we are going to have to hold you down to twist your leg back into place. Ralof, Hadvar. Hold him down while I do the deed." Nora said with a sadistic smile as the two Nords hesitantly stood at both of my sides.
"…W…what-WAIT!" I said worryingly as I was then held down by the two Nords as Nora had examined the injured foot.
"Don't worry Jester, this won't hurt at all…" Nora had then gone silent as I tried to call her out her name repeatedly…
[One loud and painful minute later…]
After an agonizing minute of pain, that is Nora twisting my foot back into place and healing it with her magical abilities, to my surprise, felt warm and better after the excruciating pain that was in place. But one thing was on my mind, and I will take my anger out on her.
"YOU! LYING! BITCH!" I shouted as I pushed Hadvar and Ralof off after recovering from the traumatizing experience as I stared daggers into the unforgivable female who just turned away and continued down the path to the next room.
The foot had healed just fine, good as new or even better than before now that I am thinking about it, but the phantom pain was still there, so I had to somewhat take it slow to readjust to it.
"I told you that it wasn't going to hurt, but you didn't believe me throughout the procedure, so it did hurt." Nora plainly responded as she continued ahead.
"How the hell-Why would that make ANY sense?!" I yelled back questioning her logic choice.
"Jester, stop being a brat. Nora, stop provoking him." Ralof spoke while gripping my shoulder.
We both said nothing as we entered the interrogation chamber of the fort. But strangely, there were no living personnel in the room. On the room there were three cages one filled with a skeleton, one that is empty, and one that has a dead mage with the lightning book with a small bag of gold. The floor area had four dead bodies with the torturer, and his assistant lying on the floor with two dead Stormcloak soldiers.
"Torture chambers… gods, I wish we didn't need these…" Hadvar spoke aloud.
Strange.. usually they are supposed to be alive and fighting with each other… oh well.
I had without thinking went to the knapsack that was on a table in the middle of the room with a copy of a book of the 'dragonborn'. I grabbed the lockpicks that were inside and headed to the cage.
"…What are you doing Jester?" A voice snapped me out of my autopilot mindset.
"Huh?" I replied.
"…I'm going to take a guess that you were going to try your luck on the locked cages. But how did you know about the lockpicks that were in the bag?" Ralof asked
"…Lucky guess?" I tilted my head innocently.
"I'm never going to get a straight answer out of you, aren't I lad?" Ralof sighed.
"Nora. Ralof. We should search the area, there should be a few good pieces of weaponry and some supplies around here. I'll check the back room of the desk until we are ready to move on." Hadvar spoke to the other two who followed his orders.
"Let's see… a small click out of one … A click out of 2… Nothing on 3… small click out of 4… aaannnd… -Click- Yes! It opened!" I pumped my arms in quick victory of 10 seconds.
Damn, who knew that the Lock-Picking-Lawyer's knowledge would come in such use! I am shocked myself that I was able to open the lock first time too. Though to be fair, this is supposed to be a Novice level lock, but even still, I'm proud of myself for learning a few things on YouTube!
"Cage open? Slightly impressive considering the timing. Seems that you are not completely useless after all." Nora slightly teased.
I ignored her.
"Ok, so I just need to take the-" I stopped myself completely. I am thinking of taking the clothes and possessions off of a dead person… how can that be sanitary, moral, or legal?!
"…What are you waiting for? Take his clothes. He won't be needing it in the afterlife… Or… is it because…" Nora started to have a dangerous look in her eyes.
"I-I wanted his spell book and gold! I don't need his shitty robes!" I sputtered and hastily grabbed the bag of gold, and spell book.
"Eh, your loss. More items to sell for me." Nora happily pulled me out of the cage and stripped the dead man of his only earthly possessions.
"By the GODS woman! Have some self-respect for yourself and the poor man!" I tried shame her.
She stopped for a moment to look at me like I was stupid before continuing to disrobe the dead man to his undergarments. Finally getting the robes off of the man as she had happily exited the cage with the Novice Robes and hood… Now that I am thinking about it, I just realized that I let my dignity get in the way of potentially around 300 to 400 gold coins, which in early game terms… I lost out on a lot of potential money…
Well… at least I got the spell book and small sum of 40 gold, so I can at least live off of that for a few nights…
Deciding to take a quick peak at the shock spell, and there were paragraphs of words on how to do the spell, though it seems a bit… tedious to learn considering my will to study and I learn better from practical experiences…
"Nora and I are good to go, you guys ready?" I yelled out to them.
"Yes we are Jester." Ralof said bolstering a two-handed battle axe on his back.
"Alright, let's get out of here." Hadvar had gone ahead with an iron shield on his left arm.
Nora had put the robes in, 'MY' bag and took off with them with me still sulking about not having my bag yet.
I had stopped and quickly grabbed one of the dead Imperial soldier's sword and sheath so I can at least defend myself, should the need pop up.
An iron sword… kinda beat up and shitty, but it's better than nothing.
As I caught up with them to the next room with the area filled with cages and at the end of the room had a giant hole in the wall that led to as small torch lit cave hallway that led to another room, which again, had a cave room that had a few connecting bridges and platforms. Some sort of sewage or flowing lake system was going down the center, and the entirety of the room was filled with more dead Imperial and Stormcloak soldiers that littered the entirety of the area.
'What is really happening? Why are there not any Stormcloak or Imperial encounters besides the two that attacked me? Something isn't right about this.' I mentally speculated.
As we had wandered around the dead bodies around the room, I can only come up with theories on how this happened. But the only plausible theory was that they killed each other, and the Imperials won by only 2 soldiers. But is that really all there to it? Or is this an alternative universe about a small outcome? If so, what else has or will change in the future?
I shook my head of the thoughts, no use in pondering about stupid theories when I can't figure out how and why I am in this damn fantasy universe.
As we came to the draw bridge and activated the lever to lower the bridge, more roaring outside could be heard by Alduin as he then caused another shockwave almost causing another landslide.
"We need to cross the bridge before that damn dragon brings the entire cave system down onto us! Move it everyone!" Hadvar had crossed the bridge with us following him.
As soon as I crossed the bridge, the rocks fell on top of the bridge, collapsing the structure.
"That dragon is surely a tenacious one, isn't he?" Ralof chuckled.
We looked forward to the continuing tunnel system. With me making a small detour to the hidden bag of gold without anyone taking notice of my presence being gone.
We then had come across the dreaded frostbite spider nest, and by the nine, were they, and their lairs, are FUCKING HUGE! The Frostbite spiders were basically giant tarantulas that spit out venomous web imbued spit from afar and had the creepiest and bone chilling design that only mother nature would love. But they were easily killed off, and we proceeded with our minds terrified of the event.
"Spiders are always terrifying…" Ralof shivered in disgust.
"Never again…" Hadvar spoke with a grimaced look.
"…" Even when saying nothing, I could tell that even Nora was a bit fearful of the frostbite spiders.
Do all Nords have a bit of fear of spiders?
"Come on guys, the frostbite spiders weren't THAT bad." I spoke casually, trying to mask my small bit of fear.
The whole party stopped and looked back with a scornful look.
"You didn't EVEN fight them! How could you when you didn't even have a wea-" Nora paused midsentence as she took a long look at my waist. "…How long did you have that sword…"
"…I just found it…" I pointed at a random place behind us near the ground next to me hoping that I would pass my persuasion check.
Apparently, it failed…
"…Next time we come across a group of frostbite spiders or a giant frostbite spider, I swear to the Nine Divines, and all the Unholy Daedra, I am going to personally hurl you right at them." Nora swore to me with a few, very concerning choice of words making direct eye contact at me before going ahead.
If there was ever a time that I was more scared in my life then this moment. It was meeting the Daedric Prince of Comedy and Entertainment striking a deal with the Daedric Prince of Madness… But now I wish that was all I was afraid of…
"…Nord women are scary…" I mumbled.
"You should see how Orc women are then for comparison. The stories I've heard are more violent, either in a fight, or in bed, they will surely leave the unfortunate victim sore, or even near death." Ralof chuckled as he continued on leaving me with an unwanted image in my mind.
"Ralof, ever heard of 'too much information!?'" I bashfully yelled to him.
We had soon come across the bear, but it was quickly dispatched before anyone was able to address it by none other than Nora who had already shot an arrow killing it instantly, hell, I was about to warn them about the bear when she did, but if I had to guess, Nora was definitely at a higher level…
We are nearing the end, and I really don't want to stick around these guys more then I have to. And after the treatment I had received, I need to make my getaway when I can. But from my mental map of Skyrim, the nearest city holds is a tie between Whiterun and Falkreath, but the obvious path to take is Whiterun, and by the fact I really don't like the Jarl in charge in Falkreath, nor will it get me closer to where I am supposed to go.
"I think I feel a draft. The entrance must be up ahead!" Hadvar spoke up alerting the others.
Exiting the cave to the bright light, I took in the surroundings of the landscape and saw the deep forest and the blue skies of Skyrim. The cold air was something to behold as I immediately started to shiver in my lack of clothing, which is still just a plain white shirt and pants.
"Wait!" Hadvar suddenly spoke while hiding behind the rock followed by Ralof and Nora.
I just stood and watched them as the dragon flew over us and towards the mountains.
As Alduin was about to fly over us, Ralof, Hadvar, and Nora took cover behind the rock to hide from the dragon. As I was about to follow suit, I just remembered that Alduin doesn't really care about stragglers.
'Wait…This is my chance!' I thought in realization.
-3rd POV-
"Ok, the dragon seems to be gone. Now, Jester, I think it is time that you start… Wait, where is he?" Hadvar questioned the other two Nords who looked back to the cave where they expected him to be in.
"FREEEEEEEEEDOM!"
Nora and the others looked up ahead to see a running Jester with his arms up in a comedic fashion as he is screaming for joy as he traveled down the path.
"Gods be damned, I WILL BREAK YOUR LEGS JESTER!" Nora yelled out and broke out into a sprint, quickly catching up to him, making Jester run faster.
Ralof and Hadvar were about to take off after them but took a look at each other and stopped themselves.
"…So, we are out of the cave, survived the dragon attack, and we are standing here with questions that have yet to be answered. We are still are on opposing armies… Still bitter enemies. And yet, we haven't killed each other yet. So, what now?" Ralof had questioned Hadvar as he put his hand on the hilt of his two-handed axe.
Hadvar had stood quiet for a while thinking about Jester's words from before about the civil war. Jester's voice had echoed with a crying pain in his voice signaling that Nora had caught up to him and is now bringing him back.
"Ralof, for a long while, I had always believed that I followed the right path. The Empire was always there for us. But ever since that war ended, it's been wavering. Seeing my fellow Nords being killed just for praying for the 'wrong' divine. It saddens me, but I didn't question what had been laid out for me in my path. It wasn't until Jester spoke about the Aldmeri Dominion and the Thalmor, how they might be the reason behind my wavering path…" Hadvar pondered aloud.
"Where are you getting at, are you saying that you are going to leave the Empire?" Ralof assumed.
"No, I am not abandoning the Empire." Hadvar quickly said. "I am going to take a temporary leave for now, until I get things figured out. But for now, I need answers do decide…" Hadvar said while mumbling the last part that Ralof didn't hear.
"Decide what?" Ralof inquired.
"ARG! Damn you, you violent woman! Let me go!"
Before Hadvar was about to answer, a cry of a pain caught their attention as they looked to see who they expected to see.
Nora had came back with a struggling Jester over her shoulders, who's hands and ankles were tied up as he was cursing obscenities at the woman who she gave no attention to.
"So, by the looks of everything here, and by the fact that you two aren't killing each other now. I am guessing that something has been sorted out?" Nora asked the two other Nords, to which they had nodded.
"That's good news to hear, now where are we going to? If I recall, Riverwood should be nearby if we take this path." Ralof spoke.
"That it is. But I believe that questions have to be answered first." Hadvar answered Nora and directed his gaze on Jester.
Nora had then dropped Jester off to the ground, to which he had grunted in pain.
"This is the part where you start to explain. Was that a dragon from the times of old? Are there more that we should be aware of? How do we fight them?" Nora had started to spout out questions.
-1st POV-
Damn! Does this woman not know how to be gentle?! I was hoping that I could at least give a ten-minute run from her before I get caught, maybe hide if the distance is far enough, but how slow must I be to be caught by her within the minute!
I just glared at her. She had a frustrated look in her eyes, but took a deep breath to seemingly calm herself.
"(Sigh) …Jester, I know that we haven't… been on the best of terms since we met… But look at it from my point of view and try to understand what I am going through. What 'we' are going through. A dragon came out of nowhere and destroyed a town. Out of all people, only one person has an idea of what is happening. I don't want my close ones to be killed because of that dragon, and the only way that I can try to prevent that, is by knowing how to stop it. And the only one who most likely knows, even a fraction of what is happening, is the person right in front of me, and they don't feel like sharing crucial information that would be vital for the survival of our land." Nora spoke to me in a serious manner.
Instead of a quick and thoughtless reply that I would usually do, I actually thought about what she said. And I stayed silent for a while thinking about how I should reply. I know that they could be trusted, but if I tell them everything, they will definitely see me as crazy. Telling them that I know all of this information because of a fictional game called Skyrim? Will definitely put me back at swords point, telling them that they are fictional characters, how I got into this world by meeting the Daedric prince Sheograth and a new runner up Daedric prince in the making, and saying that I came from a different world? Anyone would be denying those words…
"Can you at least tell us how to stop the dragon? That is the main concern of what we need to know now before anything." Hadvar had spoken up breaking me out of my thoughts.
…I think it is time to stop messing around for a while…
"…For the remainder of this conversation, I will be serious. No joking around. And no bullshit…I am willing to tell you what you need to know, but I want you all to hear what I have to say before I tell you want you want. And I give you my word that I won't run away from the group anymore." I finally spoken.
"It's the most progress we have made with you, so I don't see why not." Ralof had sighed in relief.
"…No objections." Nora said with Hadvar nodding in agreement.
"Good. First things is first, you are wondering what my end goal is. My end goal is to meet… A certain someone to take me back to where I belong. That is all you need to know about me, and I would prefer that it be kept that way." I began.
"Wait, how will we-[Grab]" Nora interrupted, but Ralof grabbed her shoulder, stopping her from continuing.
"Wait till he is done, then we can question him for his reasonings later." Ralof told Nora. "Sorry, continue." Nora then went quiet for me to finish.
"So long story short, to answer an earlier question, in order to truly defeat the dragons, we are going to need a Dragonborn who is going to solve all of our problems." I summarized.
"…You…Your joking… Right?" Ralof asked in a shocked manner.
"Talos, also known as Tiber Septim, was the last dragonborn to exist, and that was over 200 years ago! How are we going to find a dragonborn at this day and age?!" Surprisingly Hadvar raised his voice at me.
"…Even I get tired of being doubted all the time. All you need to know is that there is a chain of events that will be unfolded that needs to be followed by a certain person, so long as we don't go and wander around doing side quests, we will see the dragonborn soon enough, and all questions will be answered in due time if you have, PATIANCE!" I shouted the last part. "If you still think I am still joking around in this conversation, then you might as well just let me go, and stop wasting your time with bullshit fairytales that spew out of my mouth." I replied while glaring at them.
A moment of silence had passed as the three Nords looked at each other, exchanging looks of doubt.
At this point, I am running out of options, and I am struggling to keep my sanity in check. I do, however have a way to convince them that I what I say is true.
"…Ok then, if you don't believe me, then how about a wager?" I cryptically spoke as all eyes locked their eyes with mine.
