Muichiro decided that it was time that he started visiting the home of his demons, he wants to be a good ruler for them, and he can't be one if he doesn't even know were they live.

So he decided to start somewhere simple, with a demon that doesn't give him trouble and isn't an uppermoon.

That's the reason why he chose to visit the mountain were Rui lives.

Muichiro is ashamed to admit it, but he got lost several times trying to find mount Natagumo, he really wanted to get there by himself, but sometimes he just forgets how forgetfull he can get.

So in the end, he asked Nakime to take him there.

He didn't had the heart to be angry at her when she chuckled at him when he called for her and with a little embarrasment blush in his cheks, asked her if she could be so kind as to trasport him to Rui's home.

She obviously complied, and that take us to the next situation.

Muichiro at the front of mount Natagumo covering his nose because of the rotten smell coming from the mountain itself.

Rui must not live by himself if the mountain smells that horribly strong, It has already been two months since he gave some of his blood to almost all of the demon moons, and most of them has succesfully stopped eating or drinking human flesh and blood.

And since they were the only ones he has transfered blood to, that means that the other demons were absent to it, but he can't just go and look for every demon left and give them blood, It will take weeks maybe months or years even with Nakime's help.

He just doesn't know the number of demons Muzan transformed before he became their king, even less how many of them are killed every day thanks to the slayer's corps or if an event of mass destruction happened when the change of king happened.

Muichiro decided to get in the mountain anyway, maybe, if the demons are likeable enough, he could give them some blood like what he did with the moons.

While he was walking up the mountain, he could notice some weird coccoons hanging from the tree branches, they looked like the ones the spiders make to lay their eggs, but it couldn't be the case since the odor that covers the whole mountain come mostly from them. They probably have what's left of the humans they eat.

The deeper to the mountain he got, he could feel the presence of another five demons besides Rui, all of them were reunited together in the middle of the mountain, Muichiro started wondering why there were so many, since Muzan didn't let the demons work in groups, but maybe this was an exception.

When he got to the location where the demons were reunited, Muichiro found a wooden house, it looked old, but in good enough conditions for the demons to live in there without the fear of being touched by the sun.

Rui was the first to notice him, he quickly bowed down to greet him.

"Muichiro-sama, it's a pleasure to see you, what brings you to my humble place?" -Rui said, making the other demons notice him.

The expresion in the other demons was one of fear, as if they thougth that he would hurt them for any mistake they make. Muichiro openly frowned at this, he didn't wanted to be a ruler that everyone feared, he just wanted to be respected.

Unfortunately for him, Rui saw his frown and inmediatly missunderstood it, thinking that he wasn't pleased with his demon family, so he turned around and sent the demons a harsh look, making them inmediatly bow to him.

When Muichiro saw this, his frown deepened, he definitively didn't like what he just saw, it was as if Rui was forcing the demons to act as his family, and was forcing them to act in an especific way depending on their role in the family.

He just couldn't ignore the nagging feeling in the back of his mind telling him that it wasn't ok, that it is not how a family is supossed to be, he had to make Rui see reason.

"Rui, is that how you usually treat your family?" -Muichiro asked, still a little bit of hope that it was a one thing occurrence, but Rui's answer dissapointed him.

"We are family, they are supossed to act like one, and if they can't... Then they deserve a punishment" -said Rui, not seeing anything wrong with his actions.

"Rui, that is not how a family should be, I may not remember much from mine, but I'm pretty sure that it wasn't like your's" -Muichiro told him, trying to remember at least a little bit of how his family used to be before he became a demon slayer.

"Then how should it be?" -asked Rui almost yelling, he was getting irritated because his lord told him that his bond with his family is wrong, Muzan never bothered with his family, but Muichiro was here trying to make him see reason, and he isn't sure he wants to see it.

Muichiro could feel Rui's disconfort, after all, it isn't every day that someone tells him that the way he treat his family is wrong, Rui probably just wants to feel loved and wanted, but he can't notice that it isn't posible if his bond with his family is based on fear.

"Rui, a family shouldn't be together out of fear, there should be a deep understanding with each other and love for each other, if not, they will not hesitate to leave you at the first oportunity they get" -Muichiro told Rui, trying to get his words in Rui's head, because he can tell he only does it because he doesn't like to be alone, and a remenant of a memory from his real family before becoming a demon.

"Then what should I do, fear was what brougth my family together, if I stop it now, what would prevent my family from falling apart?" -asked Rui, the deseperation clear in his voice.

Muichiro's words having finally gotten to him, he doesn't want to be alone again, he doesn't want his family to betray him like... Tou-san and kaa-san.

"I'm pretty sure that fear isn't what brougth you together, maybe a little act of kindness before you started rulling them with fear, like you saving them from the slayers" -Muichiro told him, unconciusly seeing some of Rui's memories.

Muichiro's words snapped a series of memories from Rui, making him remember his first encounter with every member of his demon family, and then Rui couldn't help but agree with Muichiro.

It was true that he first saved them from danger, some from the slayers and others from the sun, there too was one who was just looking for a place to stay, a place where he could belong, and he gave it to him.

The realization brougth Rui to tears, he had been doing wrong all this time to his family, and just when his lord comes and talks it out of him, is when he realized how bad he was to them.

Rui is ashamed of his own actions and he wishes to change, but he doesn't know if his family would forgive him for all he has done to them, all he can do now is hope that they would stay.

Muichiro saw Rui's tearfull expresion, and he didn't like it, he for some weird reason he can't comprenhend, could relate to Rui.

For a brief moment, an image of a boy that looked exactly like him crossed his mind, but the weird part was that the boy in that memory was acting exactly like him... Or was he the one acting like the boy in his memories?

He could not try to see more of that memory because his head started hurting, even after he became a demon, the pain of remembering his past still was hellish, and it hurt if he tried to force the memory to come back.

So after seeing it, he decided to hug Rui, and promised to himself that he will not let anything happen to that child, even if he is a child himself.

"Rui, I could be like a big brother to you, only if you would like, I don't want to force you to chose right now, so whenever you'r ready, just call Nakime and come to see me" -Muichiro told Rui.

After he said it, Rui's eyes started shining brightly.

"I would love to be your little brother, is it okay if I start calling you nii-san?" -Rui responded inmediatly to Muichiro, but he didn't forget that he was his king now, so he decided to ask for permission first before calling him any different than "Muichiro-sama".

"I don't have any problem with that Rui, you can come and visit me every time you want" -said Muichiro with a little smile at his face.

Even thought this was his first time experiencing being a big brother, he knew that he will be the best brother Rui could ever get, he wouldn't mind spoiling him a little bit too much.

"I have to go back now, but I hope to see you soon in the infinity fortress Rui" -Muichiro said, meaning his words while he dedicated one last smile towards Rui.

He called for Nakime, and the next moment he was back in his room in the infinity fortress.

He was heading to his bed when he sudently remembered something...

He didn't transfered his blood to Rui's family.

Since he was too tired to go back and transfer his blood to them, he decided to do it a different day. He just doesn't know that the same will happen every other single time too.
