Chapter 12: Truths Told
Well, the school week certainly starting off with a bang, was defiantly an understatement of the year.
First was that Aizawa had asked Izumi, to redo the Quirk Apprehension Test. She scored way better on and broke into the number 1 spot. Which impressed Aizawa greatly.
Eri, who had joined Izumi, that day to watch her do the Quirk Apprehension Test. Her dragon egg hatched in the U.A. cafeteria. While the 2 were having lunch, with the students. Which surprised and captivated the students for the whole lunch period, as they watched the process. Ultimately cultivating in Eri's baby dragon being a new breed of dragon. Being a Fairy Dragon, with Eri's baby dragon having a beautiful shade of pink and teal, with dragon-like butterfly wings, and being an herbivore as well.
The next day, though. Izumi disappeared in the middle of the night. Which left Inko panicking about Izumi disappearing again. Though Winx managed to calm her down and say, that this isn't the first time, Izumi had disappeared in her sleep and that she'll return. Which calmed Inko down somewhat.
Only for Izumi to return, 2 days later, with a black-haired girl, in her arms and a Pixie as well. That was a pink and white nurse outfit, with her hair done up to look like Weiss Schnee from RWBY. Which the Pixies immediately recognized as Medica, a nurse-based pixie. The girl's name was Haylee. Where Izumi was kind enough to explain, that the little girl's name was originally Harriett. She gave her a new name when they escaped wherever they were. Though Inko was ecstatic, that she had another granddaughter to spoil. So, Inko grabbed Stella and dragged Haylee, Eri, and Izumi out to get Haylee some new clothes. While Eri was a little jealous, until Izumi explained to her, that her new adopted sister came from almost the same background. Which made Haylee a bit jumpy when Eri became a protective older sister. That didn't stop Recovery Girl from throwing a fit after seeing the injuries on the girl. Though the Winx were able to remove, what was in Haylee's scar, with an Enchantix Fairy Dust Convergence, which was boosted by the Dragon's Flame. So, it was now healing properly. Though the same couldn't be said, for U.A. Who had witnessed and heard the thing's unholy scream. Which the Winx told them, that whatever that thing was. It was even more foul, than anything that they have ever seen.
Though the following day, Ochako's Quirk came back and made itself known a bit. By turning the entire floor, that Class 1-A's classroom on, into a zero-gravity zone. Much to Aizawa's irritation and annoyance. And to the fun of the students. Unfortunately, it only lasted half an hour. Before gravity returned to normal.
Now we currently find Izumi, Tecna, Stella, and Aisha, with a thoroughly soaked Tsuyu and a few irritated U.A. Staff in Recovery Girl's office. While Stella was gaging and complaining in the background, about having to conjure up a replica U.A. School Uniform for the students. Though they found out it was Tsuyu. When the sink faucets and fire sprinkler went off in the girl's bathroom. While she was washing her hands.
"Tsuyu, can you please explain to us? How it happened?" Asked Izumi, while she and Tecna were curious about how it happened.
"I had just finished going to the restroom and was washing my hands. When I heard the pretension of a pipe, that could burst. Before the fire sprinklers burst." Said Tsuyu, remembering how the event happened. While in the background, Aisha was arguing with Aizawa. Something about just because she was the fairy of Morphix, doesn't mean she is the fairy of water. Though the argument was going nowhere.
"So, what do you 2 think is wrong with her? Since I do not know, how to diagnose those with magic." Said Recovery Girl, from her seat.
"What do you think, Tecna?" Said Izumi, completely lost.
"Well, it is only a theory. But, I think Tsuyu is here. Maybe a Major Fairy." Said Tecna, from where she was standing. Which caused everyone to look at her, with a you can't be serious face.
"Hm, I'm not familiar with the term. Major Fairy. Could you please explain?" Asked David, as he and Melissa entered the office.
"A Major Fairy. Is a fairy, that has dominating presence over their specific element." Said Tecna, explaining the term. "Though a good example, would be Diana and Aurora. The Major Fairies of Nature and Ice." As she began drawing a crowd of curious people. "Diana's presence overpowered Flora's control over nature. And Ibara Shiozaki and Shoto Todoroki would have difficulty controlling their Quirks in their presence." Which surprised them, with the information. "But, as I said, it's a possibility. Since we do not know the potential of how strong her magic will be." Which caused the U.A. staff there to pinch the bridge of their noses. Hoping to strive off the approaching headache.
"Is this year ever going to be normal?" Said Aizawa, as he walked up to them. After finishing his conversation with Aisha. While Izumi shot him a look, that said, "With the us here. You'll never have a quiet year.
"Either way, we may need to call, Roxy's mom. Morgana. For help on this one." Said Izumi, as Tecna understood Izumi's idea. While the U.A. staff gave her a questionable look. "She knows 4 Major Fairies. So, she may know the early signs for Major Fairies. Either way, Tsuyu here. Maybe a possible Major Fairy or her magic decided to make itself known to us." As Tecna nodded her head.
"That is a sound theory, Izumi." Said Tecna, as Tsuyu could only gulp, at the possible potential she had. "We'll call her later tonight." Which got a nod from Izumi.
"Okay? But can you explain? Since I'm unfamiliar with those, who have magic." Said Recovery Girl, from where she was sitting.
"Yeah. Considering that she has a Frog Quirk. Which isn't the same as water magic." Said David, as he walked up to the 4.
"Okay, then to let you know. That magic is picky, about what you get." Said Tecna, from where she standing.
"A good example would be twins are born with magic." Said Izumi, causing the 3 to look at her. While Tsuyu listened carefully to what was about to be said. "You can raise them, in the exact same way, in the exact same environment. Yet the possibility still exists, that they'll wind up with different magic. That derives from the same origin." As Izumi explained some things about magic.
"So, you're saying that Tsuyu's magic? Must come from something having to do with amphibians?" Asked David, as Melissa thought on the information. That they had been told.
"Do you mean, that Tsuyu's magic, stems from the fact you can find frogs, in wet environments?" Said Melissa, as everyone heard her answer to David and Recovery Girl. Who stared at her, as if saying "Huh?"
"That answer is surprisingly, correct. Melissa." Said Tecna, as she thought about it.
"Great. So now, we have to pay attention to what kind of magic our students." Complained Aizawa, as they took in the information, that was given. "Now, then. I have to get to my meeting with Nezu. Since he wants to talk to me about something." Before he left the nurse's office.
"So, does anyone have any more questions?" Asked Izumi, and they got a few hands up. "Okay, Tecna. I'm going to need you to answer. Any questions, they have, until I get back with Haylee and Eri. Because they have an appointment, with Recovery Girl for a checkup. Do you think you can manage, until I get back?"
"Of course. I can manage, until you get back." Said Tecna, reassuring Izumi. Before Izumi ran off to get the 2 for their checkup with Recovery Girl. "So, where do you want to start?"
Meanwhile in Nezu's office. We currently find him sitting at his desk, looking at Izumi and Bakugo's school records, from the middle school they went to. Because he was beginning to see, that some things were off with the school and their records
"Maybe, Izumi is right, about schools corrupting their students. Though I need a bit more evidence before this investigation can get started." Though Nezu, as leaned he back in his chair. "Because if what she was saying was true. Then Bakugo's morals were twisted by those around him. This means, we'll need to overhaul the entrance exam as well. To prevent people like them from getting into the hero course. Until they show signs, that they will not let their egos get the better of them. If what Izumi says, was true. Then we'll be having even corrupt students becoming Pro Heroes." As he reached for his cup of tea. When he heard the door to his office open and he saw Aizawa walk in.
"You wanted to see me?" Asked Aizawa, really not wanting to be here. Due to the flooding, that was going on. From one of his students.
"Yes, Aizawa. The reason, I called you here, is that I want your opinion, from a behavioral standpoint. Not from a Quirk standpoint, about Izumi and Bakugo." Said Nezu, as Aizawa raised an eyebrow.
"May I ask, why do you want my opinion on the 2?" Asked Aizawa, still curious about why he was there.
"Izumi may have given me a lead to how some of our more troublesome and emotionally troubled students. Came to be." Said Nezu, as Aizawa became kind of intrigued about what Nezu was asking him. "And by troublesome and emotionally troubled students. I'm talking about bullying, abuse, and being discriminated against. And I'm hoping that this will lead to an investigation into the matter. As well as help us overhaul our entrance exams."
Now Aizawa was really intrigued about the matter, as he began thinking back on the few engagements from the Quirk Apprehension test to how Bakugo used a dangerous move during the Battle Trials. Along with how Bakugo and Izumi acted outside of it. He began to notice, how skittish and nervous Izumi was, before her disappearance. And how aggressive Bakugo was and still is during both incidents. Which began to paint a picture, that Izumi had been bullied and tortured by Bakugo and others in the past to an extreme degree. And from the way, Nezu had put the reason why he was here. The previous schools may have allowed Bakugo to get away with his behavior and allowed the other students to torture Izumi.
"Before you say anything. Izumi said, to target the source of the problem, not the student." Said Nezu, as Aizawa began to think about it even more. This began to point towards, Bakugo having a big ego and other behavior problems. Due to the schools, encouraging and praising him for his Quirk and doing nothing to stop him.
"Now, that I think about it. I think Bakugo may have gained a superiority complex, from his previous schools. And they did nothing to stop it. Even if it led to bullying." Said Aizawa, after he finished thinking about it. "Which means, she was a nervous wreck, who needed therapy. And me threatening to expel her on the first day. Was not helping her anxiety."
"My thoughts exactly." Said Nezu, as leaned back in his chair. "This means, we all need to start being aware of our student's morals and emotional states, from now on. Which also means, no threats of expulsion from you." Which Aizawa, could only rub his eyes, at the thought of being blind to the emotional states of his students. "Though I think, Mr. Bakugo. May have suicide-baited Izumi at some point. Before coming to U.A." Which caused Aizawa's eyes to snap open, at the information. Before he felt like he was sucker punched in the gut. As he realized, that if he had expelled Izumi on the first day of U.A. He might have pushed her over the edge and could have caused her to commit suicide. Which was another blow to his ego as a teacher, as a hero and made him feel even worse.
"Excuse me, will quick." Said Aizawa, as he stood up.
"Go right ahead." Said Nezu, as he allowed Aizawa to leave the room.
Which as soon as the door closed, Aizawa slammed the side of his fist against the wall. While having thoughts, back to the day, that his friend Oboro had died in front of him, running through his head. Which was a day, that he wanted to forget.
"I almost killed someone innocent. If I had expelled her on the first day." He thought as he stood there. Collecting his thoughts on, what he might have caused. "I owe her an apology, for what I almost did to her and for being blind to what was really going on between the 2." As he stood there gathering his thoughts.
"Looks like he's finally getting the full picture of what this investigation is going to be about." Thought Nezu, when heard Aizawa slam his hand against the wall. Then he turned back to the school records. "If he had really attempted to suicide bait her. Then we'll really have to start, the investigation into this matter as soon as possible. While keeping this investigation a secret. Because a matter like this can't be overlooked." As he gained a determined look on his face. Before he was brought out of his thoughts, with the door opened and Aizawa walked back into the room. "Feeling better? After your reaction, to the information?" Aizawa nodded, which was the only response he got.
"So, where do we start, this investigation?" Asked Aizawa, as he took a seat at Nezu's desk.
"First, we'll need to get as much information, from both Izumi and Mr. Bakugo. Then we'll have detective Tsukauchi start looking into the school. That they went too." Said Nezu, to which Aizawa agreed.
"We can't let Bakugo go unpunished though." Said Aizawa, from where he understood where this was going.
"True. But, we'll determine his punishment. Once we get more information from Izumi, Mr. Bakugo, and what detective Tsukauchi is able to dig up, from their previous schools." Said Nezu, as Aizawa gave Nezu a look. "And before you ask. Why we're not punishing him right away? We need to know, if Mr. Bakugo was manipulated or not. Since children at a young age, tend to attach themselves to those older than them. Which leads to them picking up the habits of those older than them. Because if he's innocent in this, then we'll be giving him an doing an unjust punishment. If there, the school did encourage, this behavior and did nothing to stop this. It would be unfair to both him and the victim in this situation. Which happens to be Izumi Midoriya in this case." Even though Aizawa had his doubts. But, Nezu was right in this case. They couldn't just punish someone, without the evidence to back it up or it'll backfire on them.
From there, they began making plans to bring in Izumi and Bakugo to be interviewed by Tsukauchi on the subject of their investigation.
Later that evening, we currently find Izumi and Melissa leaving a store. After getting some ingredients for the pizzas, that Bloom and the girls were going to make tonight. With Izumi putting the bags in her Requip storage to keep them fresh. Making small talk on their way back to U.A. Since Melissa asked, about how she'll earn her fairy forms.
"So, let me get this straight?" Said Melissa, walking beside Izumi. "In order to earn my Winx. I have to show, that my will is strong enough. While believing in my own magical capabilities at the same time."
"Yep, that's pretty much how it starts." Said Izumi, walking beside Melissa. "Though it also helps fairies, who begin their journeys to be fairies. Have an easier time using and manifesting our magic. Instead of our civilian form." Which intrigued Melissa, about it. "Though don't get your hopes up on earning it right away. The moment will find you, for you to earn it. So, just be patient and you'll earn it."
As they were passing an alleyway. Izumi noticed, a small of amount of movement out of the corner of her eye. As the figure charged toward Melissa, with a knife in hand.
"Melissa! WATCH OUT!" Said Izumi, as she raced charged toward Melissa, and shoved her out of the way. Only to take the knife to the back of her right leg, missing anything vital. But, the injury was bad enough, that it was going to make walking difficult. Which Melissa ran over to help her in any way she can.
"Oh joy. Two people, I can't wait to rob ." Said a man, as he came into view. "Now, we can do this the easy or the hard way?" as he brandished his knife at them, ready to attack them.
Then Melissa felt Izumi grip her pants leg. "Melissa? I'm going to need to you to buy me some time to get a sleep spell ready to knock her out." Said Izumi, as she whispered to Melissa. Melissa gulped, nervous about facing a villain. "Remember, believe in yourself, that's how it starts." As Melissa nodded nervously, but stood up anyway. While nervously clenching her fist.
"Listen." Said Melissa, causing the girl to look at her with a confused look. "I may have just been introduced to the world of magic."
"What is she talking about?" Thought the man, as she tilted her head to the side in confusion.
Then Melissa opened and clenched her fist even tighter, as Izumi began to feel Melissa's magic starting to truly come through. "And I may have just come into them. But, I know I can take you…and Win!" As a glow enveloped Melissa.
There stood with Melissa, with her hair in a high pigtail, with a visor of some kind doubling as a hairband. Wearing white sandals on her feet. She even had a high-tech watch of some kind on her left wrist and. While the main part of Melissa's Winx was a sky-blue leotard, with a pair of white shorts with a blue trimming. The final piece of clothing was a blue cropped top coat with a white collar and a blue border. Finally, her wings appeared from her back.
Izumi could only gawk at what happened to Melissa. As for the girl, that was attacking them. "I don't know, what you did. But, seeing you in that outfit, only makes me want you more." Said the man, as she gained a scarily sick grin on his face and charged at them.
Then as if by instinct. Melissa's hairband moved over her eyes. Before it started scanning, the man. Then it showed her how to disarm the man. So, as the man got close. Melissa slid side, before she grabbed the man's arm in a way, that forced him to let go of the knife.
While this was going on Izumi was readying a sleep spell for the man, that was attacking them. The moment the knife fell out of the man's hand. Izumi shot the spell toward the girl. Which hit the man, causing her to fall asleep. This caused Melissa to catch the man, as he began to lean forward, as the sleep spell began to take effect.
"Well, this happened?" Said Melissa, as she leaned the man against the wall. As her new visor returned to its hairband state.
"Yeah." Said Izumi, as she Requiped a First Aid Kit and pulled out a bunch of bandages. "And Stella said, keeping a First Aid Kit on hand was a stupid idea." Izumi muttered, as began bandaging her leg. After she had finished bandaging her leg. She put it back in her Requip storage.
Then after a brief exchange between the 2. Then they decided to call Toshi and asked what would they like to do. After a brief conversation between the 2. Toshi asked if they needed any help. Which Izumi replied, with a yes. Since they were going to need it for them and their guest. Though she did say, that she was going to need Recovery Girl to check a wound and she was concerned about whether she could walk or not. Then she noticed, that Melissa staring at the sight of the man in front of her.
"Penny for your thoughts?" Asked Izumi, as she walked up to Melissa.
"Why would he attack us?" Said Melissa, as she continued to look at the man in front of them. While Izumi could only take a breath, thinking on how to explain, what was really going on.
"Melissa. I think, that this could be more easily explained. Once we return to U.A. Since…" Said Izumi, as she was struggling to explain it. "what I'm going to explain. May shake the entire world of every support gear developer in the world." Causing Melissa to gain a look of concern, about what Izumi said.
"What do you mean?" Melissa asked, voicing her concern.
"Let's just say, there are some things better explained sitting down." Said Izumi, since she knew, that the upcoming conversation was not going to be a pretty one, for those who worked on support gear for Pro Heroes. Which caused Melissa to become even more concerned. But, from the Izumi was putting it. It was going to reveal some very dark things.
Eventually, Toshi arrived and was surprised to find the 2, with them standing by an unconscious man. When he pulled up, he had a coughing fit, when he saw Melissa in her Winx form. Eventually, he was able to get his coughing under control and asked what happened. Which Izumi replied, that it would be better explained once they return to UA. While adding, that they'll have to explain the situation to both David and Melissa. Which left him sighing in defeat, knowing that it was going to be a very touchy subject. So, they separated into 2 groups. Toshi would deliver the man to the police. While Izumi teleported her and Melissa to U.A. Which he agreed with the idea.
And Upon returning to U.A. Izumi receive a crutch to the knee, from Recovery Girl for her injury. Before Izumi removed the groceries from her Requip storage. So, now we find Izumi lying on her belly, with Recovery Girl examining her injured leg. While the Winx began cooking up some homemade pizzas.
"So. How are we going to start this conversation?" Asked Melissa, who had succeeded in changing out of her Winx form. While she and her father were sitting on another couch.
"Let's start by explaining the situation currently going on." Said Izumi, as she began explaining the rampant discrimination going on in schools to schools tampering with student records. So, that they can get into schools, with Hero Courses. Without being caught, that they've had a bad track record. Which surprise David and Melissa to hear this. Though Izumi did mention, that not every student getting into the hero course, was a bad apple. Just that students with bad track records with powerful Quirks, get snuck in and passed the evaluation process.
"That's horrible." Said Melissa, horrified with what they had been told.
"Why would they do this?" Asked David, with the sound of shock, surprise, and concern in his voice.
"I think the answer to your question is simple, David." Said Nezu, from where he currently sitting at the kitchen table drinking some tea. As for Aizawa, he was currently on the floor trying to get some sleep. While Eavesdropping in on the conversation. "I think it's safe to think say, that there's a possibility. That schools are grooming students with powerful Quirks to be Pro Heroes. While allowing discrimination against those. They either have Villain Quirks, Weak Quirks or are Quirkless. Am I right, Izumi?" Which he received a nod from her. While David and Melissa gained a horrified look on their faces.
"And to make matters worse. Those that are making support gear for Pro Heroes. Could be making support gear for these corrupted Pro Heroes." Said Izumi, as David and Melissa became even more scared and concerned, about the information being told to them. "It also doesn't help, that we're going to have a civil war next spring. Because of this corruption. And I'm hoping my arrival hasn't come too late, to stop it or mitigate enough of the damage. To put part of the blame, where it needs to go." Now, everyone had a real reason to worry. Now that they knew, that they had a civil war on the way, from this corruption. Now everyone was mentally shaken by the information, that Izumi had given them. Now understanding, how dire the situation was becoming. "And to make matters worse. These villains can become prey in an even bigger villain's scheme." Which left them thinking about a majority of things. Including Toshi, who had returned from dropping off the man that had attacked her and Melissa.
After a few minutes of silence. Letting everyone there digest the information given to them. Recovery Girl had finished, checking out Izumi's injury. "You are very lucky, that the knife didn't cut any vital or had any pathogens on it. Now all you need is to give it some time to heal and it should be good. Also…" Said Recovery Girl, before she whacked Izumi on her head. "Don't do it again!" Before Izumi muttered something, as she rubbed her head. Which earned another whack on the head. Before Izumi shot her a look, that said "stop it or else."
"Back to what I was saying. Before Recovery Girl wanted to talk about my injury and hit me over the head." Said Izumi, as she thought about where she left off. "Oh yeah. It also doesn't help, that not many of the police, detectives, or Pro Heroes are willing to look into the cause of the incident, that involved the people and are willing to jump to conclusions." Said Izumi, as she sat up and adjusted her position on the couch. "And because they're willing to jump to conclusions. None of them are stopping to think, are we locking up a victim of society or a guilty person? It's kind of sad when you look at it. " Which now had the Pro Heroes in the room, really thinking on the matter. Which Nezu nodded and agreed. That was a sad sight to see. "Depending on the level of the corruption and how deep the rabbit hole goes. Then we most likely never had a Pro Hero for the symbol of peace, to begin with." As Toshi froze stiff, from this info.
"Then that would mean the Hero Ranking Billboard has been tampered with. Rendering all of the previous ones null and void." Said Nezu, with a growl in his voice. That was clearly visible. Toshi was even more visibly shaken as well, from the info. "Because if you're right about this. Then All Might could have been put there, to cover the tracks of criminals to begin with." Aizawa was beginning to look visibly disturbed by the revelation. Along with Toshi, as well.
"It also doesn't help that the next generation of Pro Heroes will be even more warped and twisted. Then the last. While there are exceptions to the idea. But, because people think, Pro Heroes can do no wrong. And that villains are born villains. That is going to be the hard part." Which everyone, that is a hero or have worked with an active hero nodded in agreement. So, if we're going to start putting a dent into the issue. UA, not only needs to stick their foot in the door and set an example for the next generation."
"That is very true. Because I found evidence of your and Mr. Bakugo's middle school tampering with your grades and student records." Said Nezu, trying to get a positive response out of them. But, if you had listened carefully enough. You could have made out, how uneasy he was feeling from the information drop, that had been told to them. "And before I forget. Expect a visit from Tsukauchi in the future.. Since he'll be helping with the investigation. Your majesty."
"Who told you that? Since the only ones in the room, that know that secret. Are the Winx, my mom, the pixies, Eri, and Toshi…" Asked Izumi, as she eyed Toshi. Who was trying to act like he hadn't said anything about the subject. "Toshi, is there something, that you want to share with me? Something involving some private information?" She asked, giving him the stink eye. While he continued to try and play innocent.
After a bit of a staring contest. "Okay, fine. I did. But, I only told the UA staff and that's it." He said, as he confessed.
"Fine. I'll accept your answer. But, next time. Ask before you say anything. Because we currently have 7 people in this room. Who are royalty, and that can cause a ton of problems if word got out." Said Izumi, as Toshi paled at the realization, of what he did. "And yes. David and Melissa. I am royalty. But, I don't have my kingdom just yet." While the 2 could gape at what they just heard.
"I'm sorry to interrupt the conversation." Said Bloom, walking up to them. "But, what would each of you like on your pizzas?" As Bloom pulled out her cell phone to take the orders. After she finished, taking the orders of those who wanted pizza. Inko asked Toshi, Aizawa, Nezu, Recovery Girl, and both David and Melissa, if they wanted to stay for dinner.
Dinner was unusually quiet, with minimal conversations happening. Until Roxy brought up, that she got in contact, with her mother and told her about Tsuyu's problem. And that she'll have to see Tsuyu in person, to see if Tsuyu has the potential to become a major fairy. Which was at least some good news.
The Winx did congratulate Melissa on earning her Winx form. But, they did say, that she still had a long way to go in her magical education. Which surprised everyone, that wasn't familiar with the education part. Along with any students, that develop the ability to use magic as well. Though the Winx pointed out, that they did teach a class until the Wizards of the Black Circle showed up looking, Roxy. Which caused them to start their new mission for the year. Which ended up giving Nezu even more ideas. One of the pixies, even mentioned if it was possible to ask Miss Faragonda to transfer Daphne to U.A. as a possible magical teacher. Which they would need to ask if it was even possible. Even Eldora made the list of possible teachers, for the future possible magic students. Even though she has a bit of an eccentric personality. Unfortunately, no one. Knew of a way to get in contact with her.
It was around 10 pm when everyone decided to leave. Though after noticing Melissa asleep on 1 of the couches, with her glasses on a table. David asked, for them to allow Melissa to spend the night there. Which the Winx and Inko gladly allowed her to stay the nights. Due to David's request. While Nezu told them, that Ochako would be moving in with them tomorrow. Along with telling them, why Ochako was moving in with them. Which was due to him being impressed by the work of her parent's construction company. Which left everyone surprised
Later that night, while everyone was about to get ready for bed. But, were still downstairs talking. While Inko walked into the dining area. After tucking Eri and Hailey into bed, in their shared bedroom for a goodnight's sleep. Before Inko grabbed a blanket and laid it on top of Melissa, to keep her warm for the night.
"Maybe, I'll sleep down here, with Melissa. Tonight." Said Izumi, thinking on where she was going to sleep tonight.
"You're mainly sleeping down here. Not because of Melissa. But because of your injury as well?" Said Aisha, adding herself as part of the conversation. "That or someone needs to be down here. Because something is going to be happening tomorrow morning?"
Only to get a laugh out of it, as Izumi placed her elbow on the table and rested the side of her face in her hand, with a look. "Haha. Very funny, girls." Said Izumi, not impressed with the joke. "But, yeah. I'm sleeping down here. Due to my leg injury." While most could only roll their eyes. "That and Ochako is moving in tomorrow. So, someone needs to be down here, for whenever it happens. If it's early in the morning." Which everyone agreed, that Izumi was right.
"Well, either way. It's getting late." Said Flora, as she got up from where she was sitting at the table. "And if Ochako is going to be moving in, with us tomorrow. Then we're going to need a good night's sleep." Which they all nodded their heads in agreement and began getting ready to go to bed for the night.
As for Izumi, a thought lingered in her mind. Was she too late to make a difference to save her world? Then she looked at Melissa and thought maybe she wasn't too late to make a difference and try to save the world. Before she eventually for the night.
