The five prisoners are still standing behind the wall. Daryl, with his crossbow, pointed in their direction, walked towards them.

"Who the hell are you," Daryl demanded.

"Who the hell are you," One of the prisoners countered.

"Come on out here slow and steady," Daryl said, pointing his crossbow at the prisoners.

"We need to get Hershel back so Kagome can close the wound," Rick said with an urgent tone. Hershel wasn't bleeding too badly, but still, it wasn't safe for him.

"What happened," One of the prisoners asked.

"He got bit."

"Bit? What the hell did that chick do to him?"

"None of your business," Daryl said, still pointing his crossbow.

The prisoner Tomas pulled out a gun, and T-Dog points him at him, "Whoa, whoa, whoa, easy now. Nobody needs to get hurt."

"We need to hurry before the blood attracts more Walkers," Rick said.

Glenn walked towards the back and asked the prisoner is if they had any medical supplies. They don't answer, so he grabbed a cart so that they could put Hershel on it and wheel him back. The Walkers that are at the door are now riled up after smelling Hershel's blood and are trying harder to get into the cafeteria.

"Who the hell are you people anyway," Tomas asked.

"You don't look like no rescue team," The other prisoner Axel said

Rick picked up Kagome, who was only semi-conscious, "If a rescue team's what you're waiting for, don't. Come on; we gotta go!"

They lift Hershel onto the cart, then T-Dog opened the door. He killed the Walkers that were trying to get in; then they rush out of the cafeteria."Daryl, Daryl, let's go!"

Daryl backed out of the room, still pointing his crossbow, then took off after the others. He killed a few walkers heading their way, then told them to stop when he saw that the prisoners were following them. When they got back to the cellblock, Rick yelled for Dale to unlock the door. Dale rushed forward and opened it.

"What happened?!"

"Hershel got bit, but Kagome saved him. He's still bleeding, though," Rick explained.

"And Kagome?"

"She used all her energy to save Hershel."

Kagome opened her eyes, "I'm only a little tired; that's all."

Carl opened the other door, and they rushed in, "Daddy!" Beth cried when she saw the blood on her father's leg.

"He's alright for now. We need towels. We need to stop the bleeding," Rick said.

Amy and Sophia rushed off to get all the towels they had while Amy started tearing the sheets they had. Glenn and T-Dog settle Hershel down on his bed, and Carol immediately began applying pressure to the wound, "Oh my God, it's a bite!"

"It's alright, Kagome did her healing thing and purified the infection," Glenn said.

Carol sighed and continued to apply pressure. Meanwhile, Rick put Kagome down in their cell so she could rest. He rushed off to bring her some water then sat her up so she could drink, "Baby, are you okay?"

"I'm fine, Rick, don't worry. I only need to rest. The good thing is I was able to heal most of Hershel's bite so he won't bleed out. They still need to stop the bleeding, but he can wait a bit until I rest so I can heal the rest."

"No, you're wearing yourself out."

"I have to; we don't have a suture kit; this is the only way to make sure it heals properly."

Carl, who had been listening to Kagome and his dad, decided to go on his own to find the infirmary and bring back as many medical supplies as he could find. He snuck away without anyone noticing.

While this is going on, Daryl is waiting for the prisoner to come into the cellblock. He has his crossbow pointed at the door, and the five prisoners enter the room, "That's far enough."

"Cellblock C cell four, that's mine, Gringo, let me in," Tomas said.

"Today's your lucky day, fellas. You've been pardoned by the state of Georgia; you're free to go."

"What's going on in there," Tomas asked.

"Ain't none of your concern."

Tomas pulled out a gun, "Don't be telling what's my concern."

"Chill, man. The dude's leg is messed up. Besides, we're free now! Why are we still in here?" Big Tiny asked.

"Man' got a point," Daryl said.

"Yeah, I gotta check on my old lady," Oscar told Tomas.

"Group of civilians breaking into a prison you've got no business being in, got me thinking there ain't no place for us to go!"

"Why don't you go find out."

"Maybe we should be going now," Axel said.

"Hey, we ain't leaving!"

T-Dog arrived with a gun pointed at Tomas, "You ain't coming in here either."

"Hey, this is my house, my rules, I go where I damn well please!" Tomas yelled.

"What was that," Beth asked.

"Prisoners, survivors. It's alright, everyone stay put," Rick pulled Glenn aside, "I need you to keep an eye on Kagome. She's resting, but you know how she is. She's going to try to get up and help Hershel. She too weak, and Hershel isn't in any immediate danger."

"You got it," Glenn said.

Rick walked towards where the others are, and Dale unlocked the cell door. He walked into Daryl arguing with the prisoners, "There ain't nothing for you here, why don't you go back to your own sandbox?" Daryl said to the prisoners.

"Hey, hey, hey! Everyone relax; there's no need for this."

"How many are you?"

"Too many for you to handle."

"You guys rob a bank or something? Why don't you take him to a hospital?"

"How long have you guys been in there," Rick asked.

"Going on ten months."

The prisoners explain what happened and that a guard had locked them in there and told them to wait for the army or National Guard. But that they were still waiting, "There is no army, no National Guard," Rick told them.

"What do you mean?"

There's no government, no hospitals, no police; it's all gone.

"For real," Axel asked.

"Serious."

"What about my mom?"

"My kids, my old lady! Yo, you got a self-phone or something so we can call our families?"

"You don't get it, do you," Daryl said.

"No phones, no computers. As far as we can see, at least half the population's been wiped out. Probably more."

The prisoners still don't believe them, but Rick took them outside to see for themselves. They go out into the courtyard, and all the prisoners see all the corpses of the Walkers and the Walkers lining the fence. Big Tiny asked what was it a disease, and Rick explained that yes and that they were all infected. He wasn't going to tell them or anyone that the only one that wasn't was Kagome. Who knew what would happen if the others knew, and there was no point in them finding out anyway.

Daryl explained that if he were to shoot them with an arrow through the chest, they would come back as a Walker. "It's gonna happen to us all," Daryl explained.

Rick and Tomas start arguing about staying in the prison and going back into their cellblock, but Rick won't let them. Things look like they're going to turn violent until Tomas agrees to clear out another cell block if Rick gives them weapons. But Rick told them that if they get half of their food, he and the other men will help them do it. Tomas agreed, but Rick is still suspicious.

Meanwhile, back in the cellblock, Kagome got up from hers and Rick's bed. She made her way towards the cell where Hershel was to check on him. Glenn saw Kagome coming and stopped her, "Whoa, whoa, where do you think you're going?"

"I need to check on Hershel,"

"Rick said you need to rest for a while."

"I did rest, and I feel better now, Glenn, I promise," Kagome told him and went inside the cell, "How is he doing?"

"Good, he doesn't have a fever, I think you got all of the infection," Carol said.

Kagome nodded then took out her blood pressure cuff and stethoscope. She checked his heart rated and blood pressure, then his lungs, "Everything is good. Has the Bleeding stopped?"

"It's slowed down a lot, but it's still bleeding," Lori said.

"Okay, let me heal the rest of his wound and close it."

"No, you're still weak from purifying the infection, Kagome, you need more rest," Glenn said.

"I can't leave Hershel with an open wound. He could get a different type of infection in this environment, and we don't have antibiotics."

Kagome put her hands on the wound and was about to start when Carl came in, "Kagome, stop, I got everything you need. I even found some suture kits," Carl said as he dropped a bag on the ground filled with bandages, gauze, and several suture kits.

"Where did you get this," Lori asked.

"From the infirmary, I took everything that was in there."

"You went by yourself?"

"Yeah."

"Are you crazy?!"

"No big deal, I killed two Walkers."

"Alright, do you see what happened to Hershel? This was with the whole group."

"We needed the supplies, so I got them."

"I appreciate that, but-"

"Then get off my back!" Carl yelled, "I wanted to help Kagome. She's already done enough."

"Carl! That's your mother." Beth admonished.

"Listen, I think it's great that you want to help, but…"

Carl scoffed and ran out of the cell. He went back to the entrance to the cellblock when he heard his dad and the others coming back. In the meantime, Kagome began to stitch up the bite that Hershel had and wrap it up. Everyone sighed when Kagome finished, "He'll be okay now. We only need to keep the wound clean and change the dressing every few days."

"Okay," Carol and the others say, "Why don't you go back to bed? You look exhausted."

"Alright, if anything else comes up, come get me."

Kagome got up and went back to her cell.

While this is going on, the others are bringing food that they got from the cafeteria. Daleale opens the door, "What did you get," He asked.

"Canned beef, canned corn, canned cans! There's a lot more where this came from," T-Dog told him.

Rick walked into the cellblock to talk to Glenn, "How's Hershel?"

"Good, Kagome checked him over; he's doing better. We got some sutures, she sewed the wound closed, and he's resting comfortably now."

"Good, where's Kagome now?"

"She went to lie down again."

Rick frowned, "She's still not feeling well?"

"No, she said she was going to rest a while longer."

Rick nodded. He patted Glenn on the shoulder then went to see Kagome. Rick walked into their cell and saw that she was asleep. He smiled and Kneeled next to the bed. When Kagome felt Rick's aura, she woke up. Kagome smiled at him, "Hey, how are you feeling?"

"A little tired. How are things going with the prisoners?"

"We took half of the food they had, and in exchange, we're going to help them clear out a cell block. I won't have those guys near our people near you."

Kagome nodded, "How's Lori doing?"

Rick didn't like asking Kagome about Lori. He didn't want Kagome to think that he still had feelings for Lori. His heart belonged to Kagome, but he worried about Lori as the mother of his children. Kagome could see the guilty look on Rick's face, "Rick, we've been over this before. You have every right to ask about Lori. She's your ex-wife. And the mother of your children. I'm not jealous, and I'm certainly not insecure. I know you love me. You don't have to feel guilty."

"Thank you. So how is Lori doing?"

"Lori was worried that she miscarried, but I checked; the baby is fine. I can feel the baby's aura. She's healthy."

"She? It's a girl?"

"I don't know, it's only a feeling, but I think it is."

Rick smiled, "I would love to have a daughter. Maybe someday you and I can have a child."

"Maybe. Can you handle three kids?"

"Of course, and the fun part will be making them," Rick said with a grin.

Kagome slapped his arm, and they laughed. They didn't know that Lori was standing a few feet away listening. Rick kissed Kagome before he stood up, "I have to go. I need to get these guys settled in their new cellblock. I love you."

"I love you too, be careful."

"I will."

When Rick walked out of his and Kagome's cell, he saw Lori standing there. He rolled his eyes and walked past her, "Rick, wait."

"What, Lori, I have things to do."

"How's Kagome?"

"Fine, she's resting. Purifying Hershel's bite took a lot out of her. But she'll be fine. Now I have to go."

"So, what about the prisoners?"

Rick scoffed and turned to face Lori, "Why are you asking? You heard what I said to Kagome. You heard everything, didn't you?"

"I didn't mean to eavesdrop," Lori said, trying to defend herself.

"I'm sure you didn't," Rick said sarcastically, "Look, I'm sure you heard me ask about you and the baby, but I want to get one thing straight, Kagome is right, I worry about you because you are the mother of my children and a member of this group, nothing more. Okay. I don't want you to think there is any chance of us getting back together. My life and my heart belong to Kagome now."

"I, I know."

"Do you?"

"Yes, Rick, I know and accept that I messed up. I'm happy for you and Kagome," Lori said sadly.

Rick didn't believe her, "Thank you. Now, if you don't mind, I need to go."

Rick walked past Lori and went back with T-Dog and Daryl, and the prisoners. Dale, Carl, Amy, and Sophia were putting up the food while Daryl watched the prisoners. Once Rick got back, they left again to clear out a cell block.

Rick gave the prisoners weapons to fight the Walkers, "Why do I need this when I got a gun?" Tomas asked.

"You don't fire guns. Not unless your back's up against the wall. Noise attracts them, really riles them up," Daryl explained.

"We'll go in two by two. Daryl will run point with T. I'll bring up the rear with you," Rick told Andrew, "Stay tight, hold formation, no matter how close the walkers get. Anyone breaks ranks. We could all go down; anyone runs off, they could get mistaken for a walker, end up with an axe to the head."

"And that's where you aim. These things only go down with a headshot." Daryl told the prisoners

"Ain't gotta tell us how to take down a man."

"They ain't men, They're something else," T-Dog said then looked at Rick.

"Just remember to go for the brain," Rick told them.

The group is walking in the dark; it's tense, they can't see anything; Daryl told them that they'd hear the Walkers before seeing them. At that moment, two Walkers come out, and the prisoners attack them as if the Walkers were alive. They stabbed it in the stomach and the heart, kick the Walker, but nothing happens. Rick, T-Dog, and Daryl stand there watching these fools trying to take down the Walkers. Daryl got fed up and shot both Walkers.

"You got to get them in the brain, not the stomach, not the heart, the brain."

The next time a Walker appeared, they attack it and take it down correctly. Oscar stabbed the Walker in the brain, "Like that?"

"Uh-huh," Daryl told him.

"Stay in formation, no more of that prison riot crap."

More Walkers appear, everyone fights, except Big Tiny, who's afraid, and went behind the wall to hide. But Walkers start coming towards him. Rick stabbed one of them, and the other one bit Big Tiny before getting shot by Tomas. Rick saw that the Walker bit Big Tiny.

Rick looked at the bite on Big Tiny's shoulder. "I'm sorry, man."

"I'm telling you! I don't feel anything; it's just a scratch! I can keep fighting."

"You were going to cut off that old guy's leg to save his life."

"Look where the bite is."

"What about that bitch that saved the old man? Can't she do anything," Andrew asked.

Rick paused for a minute. Should he ask Kagome to heal this guy? Before he could say yes, Tomas attacked Big Tiny and drove the hammer into his head, beating him until he died. Covered in blood, Tomas walked away.

Rick and Daryl walk behind the group, "Did you see the look on his face?"

"He makes one move…"

"Just give me a signal."

They arrive in a room which contains a set of two doors, probably leading to the cellblock where the prisoners would live. Daryl gives Tomas the keys, "I ain't opening that."

"Yes, you are. If you want this cell block, you're gonna open that door. Just the one, not both doors. Because we need to control this."

They can hear the Walkers behind the door; Tomas picked up the keys, "You bitches ready?"

Tomas unlocked the door and flung them both open, "I said one door," Rick yelled.

"Shit happens."

The Walkers start pouring into the room, and the group starts killing them all, but then Tomas took a swing at Rick, but Rick ducked. Tomas threw a Walker at Rick, and Rick fell to the ground with the Walker on top of him. But Daryl is able to kill it. When it's over, Rick stood up and stood in front of Tomas, "He was coming at me, Bro."

"Yeah, yeah, shit happens," Rick swung his axe and embedded it in Tomas's skull, killing him instantly.

"No!" Andrew cried. Andrew tries to attack Rick with a baseball bat, but Rick kicks him, and Daryl threatens him with his crossbow.

"Easy, now."

Andrew ran away with Rick chasing after him. They ran down several corridors until Andrew ran outside right into a yard full of Walkers. He tried to run back in, but Rick closed the gate, "You better run," Rick said, then closed the door leaving Andrew screaming while the Walkers attack him.

Meanwhile, Axel is begging for his life, telling T-Dog and Daryl that he and Oscar had nothing to do with it, that they were innocent. But Oscar refused to beg for his life. When Rick came back, he decided that they were innocent and let them have their cellblock. Axel and Oscar walk into the cellblock and find all the bodies of their dead friends. Daryl gave his condolences, and T-Dog told them to take the bodies out and burn them.

After that, Rick and the others returned to the cell block C and told Dale and Amy what happened. Amy hugged Daryl and led him back to his perch so that he could rest. Dale gave Rick a towel told to clean the blood off, and then Rick went back to the cell with Kagome. Rick stripped and got in bed with Kagome; he sighed, closed his eyes, and went to sleep for a little while.

When Rick woke up, Kagome was gone, but a fresh set of clothes laid out for him. Rick got dressed and went looking for Kagome. She was in the cellblock, helping Carol and Sophia make dinner. Kagome poured some chili in a bowl and was about to take it to Rick when she saw him, "I was going to bring you something to eat."

"Thank you," Rick said and sat down with the others. Beth came in and got a bowl of chili for Hershel, "How's Hershel," Rick asked.

Beth smiled, "He's good, he has a little pain, but Kagome gave him some painkiller, so that dulled it a bit."

"I'm glad to hear that. Tell your dad I'll be there in a bit to see him."

Beth nodded and left.

Kagome came and sat down next to Rick. He kissed her head, and they began to eat. But from the woods, someone is watching the prison.
