Kirara landed long enough for Kagome to climb onto her back. They took off into the air again; Kagome and Kirara scanned the area looking for Rick and Carl, but she saw Daryl and Beth running from Walkers, "Come on, Kirara, we need to help them."

Kirara roared and dove; she landed between Daryl and Beth and released a stream of flame, turning the Walkers to ash. Beth and Daryl sighed in relief when they saw Kagome with Kirara. Daryl helped Kagome off of Kirara, "Are you okay? Where are Rick and Carl?" Beth asked.

"I don't know; we were separated. I was going to the bus, but Kirara saved me. Do you think they got out?" Kagome asked.

"Yeah, they did. I know they did," Daryl answered. He did not doubt that Rick and Carl were alive.

Kagome nodded, feeling more confident that her son and husband had made it, "We need to get out of here," Kagome told them, and the two agreed. They started walking through the marshes, hoping it would slow down the Walkers. The trio finally found a place to rest, and Kirara watched while the others slept.

Meanwhile, Glenn woke up on the catwalk that had been blown up. He looked down and saw the Walkers trying to reach him. Glen rose and went to their cellblock to gather as many supplies and riot gear as possible. After collecting as much as he could carry, Glenn burst through the door and fought his way through the Walkers. He suddenly stopped and saw a young woman sitting in a closed-off area. Glenn found out her name was Tara and that she was grieving her sister's death. Glenn convinced her to accompany him to search for Maggie and the others. Tara agreed, and they fought their way out.

They eventually met with three people in an army transport that took an unconscious Glenn and put him in the back of the truck; Tara also got in the back to keep an eye on Glenn. The transport started, and they were back on the road, heading for who knows where.

As this was happening, Michonne stood in the field in shock. She couldn't believe that everything was lost. She began searching for any survivors, but all Michonne saw was death and Walker's feeding on corpses. Michonne closed her eyes momentarily when she saw a group of Walkers feasting on someone; she suddenly saw blonde hair and realized it was Mika and Lizzy. Rage filled Michonne, seeing those sweet girls dead; she slaughtered all the Walkers feasting on their bodies. Once she had cleared the Walkers, Michonne put down the girls before they turned. Michonne was in a daze, but she suddenly heard gunshots; she ran towards the sound and found Hershel and Amy killing the oncoming Walkers. Michonne withdrew her sword and made a path toward the duo, slaughtering any Walker that crossed her path.

When Michonne reached Hershel and Amy, she cried, glad some people she loved survived. She hugged Hershel and Amy, "I'm glad to see you two made it. Have you seen anyone else?" Michonne asked.

"I saw Kirara carry Kagome away," Hershel told the women.

Michonne and Amy sighed, "Thank God. It would have devastated Rick and Carl if something happened to them."

"Are you sure Rick and Carl made it?" Hershel asked.

"Of course they did," Michonne and Amy chorused.

"Then let's go find them," Hershel suggested.

The women nodded, and Michonne took some rope and dismembered two walkers and cut their jaws off so they couldn't bite, and the trio left with the Walkers as protection. It didn't take long for them to pick up Rick and Carl's trail; the duo had a headstart on them, but it didn't matter. They would catch up eventually.

Farther ahead, Rick and Carl trudged. Carl walked a bit in front of his dad. Rick was severely injured and had difficulty keeping up with Carl, "Carl, slow down. Carl, stop! We need to stay together. We got to find a place with food and supplies."

Carl rolled his eyes and walked back towards his father, "Hey. We're going to be..."

Rick couldn't finish his sentence. Carl stared at him blankly, and the two continued to walk. They came to a little Roadhouse, and Rick told Carl to stay outside and watch.

"You keep watch. You can barely stand. I'm not going to let you go in there alone."

Rick looked incredulously at his son, "Excuse me?"

"We've done this before. I'm going to help you clear it up. You should just let me do it myself," Carl told his father in a callous tone.

Carl couldn't help but feel that everything that happened was his dad's fault. If he had killed Andrew, his mother would still be alive. If Rick had killed the Governor when he had the chance, he wouldn't have come back and attacked the prison. Now Carl lost the woman he loved as his mother and baby sister. Carl and Rick killed the only walker in the store and then scavenged for food and water. After that, they moved on.

Father and Son arrived at a community, and Rick picked a house for them to hold up in so he could rest. After checking that the place was clear, Carl tied the door shut with a knot that he told Rick Shane had taught him. Nevertheless, Rick pushed the sofa against the door. He told Carl to eat, but Carl was so resentful he ignored his dad.

After cleaning up as well as he could, Rick went to the living room and passed out on the sofa. Before falling asleep, he told Carl not to go outside. But, of course, Carl didn't listen. Carl was convinced that he was better off without his dad, and he would prove it. He led a few Walkers away from the house and killed them.

Carl continued to explore the neighborhood. He went into a house to look for supplies but was nearly killed by a Walker. Even though he was attacked, Carl still sat on the roof and ate an entire can of chocolate pudding alone. Eventually, Carl returned to the house and found his Dad unconscious. He tried to wake Rick up, but his dad didn't move. It slowly started to dawn on Carl that he still needed his father and that he didn't want to be alone. Carl sat on the other side of the room, listening to Rick breathe. Eventually, Carl broke down. He was grieving for the loss of his mom, baby sister, unborn sibling, and everyone else at the prison.

Carl was startled when Rick stopped breathing, then Rick took a gurgling breath and rolled off the sofa. Carl began to cry as he watched his dad slowly crawl toward him. He tilted his head back, "I can't. I was wrong. Just do it." Carl sobbed.

Rick grabbed Carl's foot, "Don't go outside. Stay safe," Rick gasped.

Carl threw himself at his father and sobbed, "I'm scared," he mumbled repeatedly.

Rick held his son and let him cry.

In another part of the woods, Maggie, Sasha, Bob, and T-Dog were trying to find the bus that had escaped. Maggie had to find out if Glenn was on the bus. When they found it, there was nothing but Walkers inside. Maggie needed to ensure Glenn wasn't in there, so they let the Walkers out and killed them. Once the bus was empty, Maggie went inside, hoping Glenn wasn't there. Maggie cried in relief, happy to see her husband wasn't among the dead.

Maggie left the bus and started walking away; Sasha, Bob, and T-Dog looked at each other and rushed after Maggie, "Where are you going?" Sasha asked.

"I need to find Glenn," Maggie answered.

T-dog grabbed Maggie's arm, stopping her, "Where are you going to look for him?" T-dog asked.

"I don't know, but I know he's alive," Maggie told him with a sad, desperate look, "I need to find him, T. I have to."

T-dog stared a Maggie for a moment, then he nodded. He grabbed what little gear they could salvage and stood next to Maggie; they looked at Sasha and Bob. Sasha initially argued, but Bob eventually convinced her, so they left to find Glenn.

They followed the tracks until they came across a sign. *Sanctuary for all. A community for all. Those who arrive* ***survive***_._

Maggie and the others stared at the sign momentarily, "If Glenn sees one of these signs, he's going to head there looking for me. We need to go there," Maggie informed the others.

Bob and T-Dog agreed instantly, but Sasha wasn't convinced. It took a while to convince her, but in the end, they all made their way to Terminus.

While this was going on, Tyrese, Sophia, and Carol were hiding in the woods with Judith. Tyrese saved Judith from the Walker that was about to pounce on her. After that, Carol found them, and they decided to travel together. They came upon a family that the Walkers were attacking. Even with their help, it was too late to save them. The father told them that they were following the tracks to Terminus. He told them it was a haven and they should be safe there. Carol was skeptical about this new place, but she knew it was the best chance of finding the others and keeping Judith safe. So she and Tyrese decided to follow the tracks as well. Hopefully, Carol was wrong about this place, and they could settle down in relative safety.

It took a day for Michonne, Hershel, and Amy to find Rick and Carl. The little group was happy to be reunited. Hershel patched Rick up as best he could and told him to rest while he and the others scavenged for supplies. Rick complained until Michonne convinced him that he was too hurt to be of any help. Rick finally agreed and settled upstairs to rest.

He had been asleep for a few hours when he heard a group of men enter the house; quickly, Rick hid under the bed. It didn't take long to realize what type of people these men were. He knew that if the others showed up, it was likely that he, Hershel, and Carl would be killed, and a fate worse than death would happen to Michonne and Amy.

Rick finally snuck out and went into the bathroom, where he killed one of the intruders and escaped out the window. He waited for the others to be distracted by their friend, who had turned and then ran towards the others approaching the house. Quickly and Quietly, Rick explained what happened, and he and the others hastily retreated.

They traveled for a few miles until they saw the sign about Terminus, "What do you think?" Michonne asked.

Rick thought for a moment, "If the others find these signs, then they'll head there too. Let us go."

"Do you think Mom will be there?" Carl asked.

Rick smiled encouragingly at his son, "Yes, Carl, I think if your mom sees this sign, she'll look for us there."

Right now, the only thing that made Rick happy was that Kagome was not alone. Hershel told him that he saw Kirara carry Kagome off. Rick knew that the Neko would take care of his wife. With a determined look, Rick led his group down the tracks to Terminus.
